Rolex super clone has arrived for use as authentication tool to buy a grey market Rolex safely.

all right welcome back today we're going to do sort of a show and tell not uh really an unboxing because I've already unboxed this and pulled the stickers off and uh started to size the the bracelet and stuff but a more of a showand tell so I received the Chinese super clone of a reference number steel sports watch that I'm interested in from Rolex this is a a reference number 12660 um the sea dweller single red and I got to say well first of all let me remind you that my my concern is that there may be a lot more Chinese super clone Rolex steel sport watches out there in the gray Market that a lot of us realize and as I was about to pull the trigger on um a Rolex before I was willing to wire transfer five figures to um for a a a gray Market Rolex I just have to have a higher level of certainty and confidence that what I'm getting is an authentic Rolex watch and clearly the easiest way to do that is to just um uh someone who has the expertise and the willingness to open the back of the the watch and examine really just have to take a look at the movement and see the level of finish on the parts in the movement and a Rolex is going to be hand finished and have a beautiful finish on the the parts of the movement and while a roll a Chinese super clone is going to be a clone movement with all of the same Parts they're not going to be hand finished they're just going to be assembled however the problem is Rolex authorized you know dealer won't touch doing that to help someone authenticate a watch that they're buying in the the gray market and um I don't blame them for that there's no Financial incentive it probably opens them up to some liability um Rolex in their ad Network they want no part of helping us buyers in the gray Market authenticate that what we're buying is uh an authentic Rolex watch there's zero incentive for Rolex or their authorized dealers to participate and help us as Rolex buyers in the the Great market so it's completely on us um if you can find a skilled watchmaker in your area who is willing to um allow you to pay them to open up uh and examine the movement in uh your watch that you're getting from the the gray market and then has the capability to reseal it and pressure test it to whatever it's stated water um uh water resistance level is that's certainly the best option but if you're looking at a Submariner a sea dweller a sea dweller deep sea the the the depth to which these watches are certified to be waterproof once opened up a a local watch maker the Jeweler is not going to have the capability to to verify and pressure test that that that has been resealed and the back is on again to the level of water um waterproof that uh a deep sea a sea dweller and a Submariner would do now maybe with a a Daytona and with uh a GMT Master 2 then I think your your issue is the value of those presents liability to the watch maker to Simply open it up um I don't know um if you can if you have access to a watch maker that you have a relationship with that will do that that they'll take the liability and you trust um I think that's the preferred option if you don't have that that's my situation I am going down this uh road to develop my own ability to do my own due diligence to um increase the probability in my confidence that what I'm I'm about to pay for in the gray Market is an authentic Rolex so again my um the question I'm trying to solve for is can I Source a known Chinese super clone of the the reference number Rolex watch that I'm interested in so I know that 100% certainty this is a super clone and not authentic and compare that to the hopefully authentic Rolex uh of the same reference number and if the gray market watch is authentic and I know this is a Chinese super clone then I should be able to objectively determine at least one or two and hopefully three comparison points where this gray market watch is different than this Chinese super clone because if I can't objectively measure any difference between the gray Market Rolex and the known Chinese super clone then in my opinion this gray Market Rolex is probably also a Chinese super clone so that's the authentication process that I am hoping to be able to uh develop for myself so that I can um confidently buy uh Rolex uh steel sports watch in in the on the gry market and feel comfortable and confident that it's an authentic watch now for example this is what I received and I'm not only impressed with the watch look at the this is it came with the the bag that you would get from uh a Rolex authorized dealer it is this is all Chinese super clone bag and everything so I was not expecting that um here is you know the sleeve that you seen the let's see there we go and this is raised embossed the Rolex logo so inside and but this is the Chinese super clone box and papers quote unquote so got a this is a leather shammy um you know white got some silicon now so here first of all so inside this is the uh tag this has the I verified that is the unique serial number that is engraved on the laser engraved it at uh 6:00 on the the reho and here is the Rolex and on this side can you see the it even has the Hologram with Rolex on it and the Rolex logo there you go look at that again this is all the box and papers from the Chinese super clone I haven't even gotten to the watch yet and so in here just as you would expect let's take these out got the here is the warranty manual just as authentic here is because it's a 126600 the owner's manual for the the sea dweller it's uh shockingly impressive the super clone box and papers beautiful and then leather and here is because this is a current model uh would be a 2023 this is the 2020 and newer style warranty cards so you can see it's got the the gold around the The Edge and this has the uh model 12660 and again that serial number matches what is on the laser engraved on the the reho it also at 6 o' you can see these the 437 293 Y6 if I'm seeing that correctly 437 293 Y6 and then as Rolex warranty card should do with um a blue light underneath when you do the I don't know if you're going to be able to see this but oh there you can do you see the in this space right here when you there you go just as authentic and this one completely surprised me and my iPhone um has the NFC nearfield chip so well first of all nothing and hard to do from so let's see if I can can you see the and when I click on it takes me to the Rolex site so let's see I want to do that again to see if I can do it where you can see it here does it have to be there we go so I will say if you notice this is taking me to the date just and not to the the sea dweller and it has the NFC chip I am going to reach out to um where I Source this and see if I can get this card replaced with one which will the NFC chip will go to the SE dweller because this um my uh couple of friends who have 2020 warranty cards from uh their Rolex watches bought from the ad when they do the NF chip it goes straight to the uh the Rolex website at the page of their model one is a date just and one has a a Submariner so that is not correct on here but I am going to reach out to see if I can get that corrected and I think I can which means I think that's pretty easy the part of having the NFC chip that actually works really surprised me and if I'm right if I reach out to them and they replace this because all they have to do is you know I provide the here's the model and the serial number engrave it again and put the NFC chip that is programmed to uh take it to the SE dweller page at at Rolex um and the reason I want to do that is I want to verify okay I don't think having um box papers all of these and even the 2020 and newer waranty card with the NFC chip I don't think any of this box and papers from what I can see here I mean the ad bag even this kit for the super clone box and papers having the box and papers with a gray Market Rolex I think does zero to authenticate that that is an authentic Rolex because all of this is Chinese super clone reproduction and it's amazing and I was shocked that the the new 2020 warranty card it it has all of their the NFC and the I don't know it's blue light or ultraviolet or whatever all of the anti-counterfeit measures have already been um defeated by the the Chinese um superclone you know manufacturer so I was shocked at this I haven't even gotten to you know the watch yet but this is I've already you know started to resize it it's not 100% correct yet I've set the um the time but here's uh the watch and it's 9904 uh stainless steel it is you know I haven't had time yet and I'll do a part two of I I really want to find at least two hopefully three accurate objective comparison points that I can point to that all right this is what I need to look for and because this is is not right but so far the listen to the it's got 120 click it feels beautiful uh it's all um Swiss super luminova it's I don't know it's so far um you know some people have seen online where they say oh the the adjustment of the the Glide lock is not as smooth or this one works great and I don't know how I think smooth or not smooth is too subjective of how smooth the same on the uh the screw in Crown the first time when I went to set it yeah there were I would describe it as a burr maybe initially but after I unscrewed it and worked to set the time and the date that's just gone and uh I don't know if there would be the the smoothness between an authentic Rolex in this with the screw in Crown and the the setting of the date and the time I'm just not convinc that again that's not excuse me objective enough for me that there's too much subjectivity uh I think that is if that's the third indicator that it's not as smooth and I found a couple of other um points of delineation that I feel confident in here is the you know it's unusual and the the sea dwellers that they have the writing uh laser etched on the the back but it is perfect and oh the how about the yeah there we go the bracelet is extremely extremely high quality look um this is um my Omega speed master um coxal and the steel and the quality of the the bracelet and you know I took this one out cuz this is actually very similar uh Dimensions to the 126600 single red in terms of um both thickness they're both um in millimeters so but I'm going to come back for a part two on this when I've had time to really go through this with the jewelers loop and I haven't found yet but I like I said I want to find find I'd like to find two other points of delineation and make the the smoothness of the crown function a third being more subjective but you know I gu actually should put it on for you and show you it it just is I can confidently say with the naked eye with someone who has never owned a Rolex they would never be able to uh determine that this is is not a Rolex I would be very curious to see a gry market dealer what there I think it even a dealer with the naked eye I really think it's going to require magnification to really make a be able to do a a determination um F but I'm going to uh stop right here and I will come back when uh with a part two where hopefully I've got those two parts those two points of delineation that I'm going to use for my comparison but as of right now I was expecting the watch itself to be very very high level in terms of a clone I was totally shocked at the level of quality of the box and and papers it it's it's it's concerning that's probably the best best term it's it's concerning and it makes me believe my efforts are worth it that I'm on the right track because this supports the idea that there could [Music] be unfortunately more ch Chinese super clones in circulation on the gray Market that I think the buyer the seller the dealer the the buyer I don't think people are aware and so it's um I think we need to go down this Rabbit Hole of authentication more rigorously doing more due diligence ourselves as buyers and I I think uh I think we're well I'm concerned we're not going to like some of uh what we find in how frequently and how many Chinese super clones are floating around out there anyway that's it for now I'll I'll be back uh with a part two on this
