[Music] and here we are again with another unboxing I think there's something missing from the picture though this time shouldn't there be something around here that's better [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] well gets dropped in pour yourself a nice glass of wine or scotch or a G&T if that's what tickles your fancy whatever if you don't drink alcohol just have a nice cup of tea or coffee I'm sure that'll do the trick I on the other hand have to celebrate so once again cheers to all so I got the call from the ad and came back with this beautiful sight what's that on the top you might ask well this is a little gift they gave to me this time I brought them something green just as a thank you they were very appreciative and they gave me back something green which was this nice little gift along with the watch I've seen the old Rolex caps they kind of have their RIT Rolex is written across the front here it's not as it's not as cool this is nicer it's more subtle more subdued and of course has Rolex and nice stitching on the side and the crown at the back there as well it's kind of cool little robber crown cool cat thanks guys let's reach in here and get this puppy bigger bag this time right she noticed that the other bag was about I won't say half the size the one for the Explorer all right stop making people wait there we go they're not impressive boxes are they I mean look at that it's a regular box let's reveal the most important part here they're really simple boxes it's heavy cardboard they're well made but of course you know if you buy yourself a Patek you get an incredible box and even of course with a with the Omega boxes super beautiful presentation well accelerate he's trying that hard with these maybe they expect people are gonna throw them away they should know better because of course the in this the box in the papers is very important if you want to keep the resale value of your watch there's the flap love the flap just makes everything so much easier again when you see this wrapping here that means you're talking about brand new from the ad you will not get this kind of wrapping you won't see it if you buy it from a third party or you buy it secondhand or whatever this is really gorgeous new stuff that only you only get on a brand new watch there's our obly green box we love it for its ugliness it's straight - it actually a little bit of suspense just before we get to it what am I wearing I'm sure some of you have spotted it in the corner of the shot I'm actually wearing a bright thing right now not crazy I was never a big fan boy Breitling but I got this watch in a trade against another watch it's really nice I'm gonna actually make a video about it later this week I think all right back to the main event there she is probably the most famous most sought-after most desired most lusted after Rolex watch maybe watch maybe remove Rolex from that sentence this is the Submariner date one one six six one zero Ln Ln standing for Loonette moiré so it's black dial black bezel no color whatsoever on this one and that's what she looks like when she comes over the ad now they took the plastic bezel protector off and they took all the stickers off the protective stickers these are new rules from Rolex that they have to remove all of those stickers it's a deterrent to stop people from reselling the watch the moment they they walk out the door this watch here in Europe is seventy nine hundred euros and the second I walked at the door that's worth about ten translate that's dollars if you will maybe seventy nine is about eighty six they'd be maybe six hundred myself for about eleven on the US market still love this padding it's perfect it creates the right amount of tension doesn't damage your watch means you can put away the watch without having to fiddle with the with the bracelet with the length of the bracelet this time I actually had them remove a link some people were saying about my Explorer video that the Explorer was too loose I have a wrist that expands a lot guys see these big veins that means my wrist is actually all pumped up right now means I'm well hydrated and I'm warm when I'm cold guys this whole wrist contracts into a way smaller wrist it's totally bizarre so I need a watch with a little bit of extra breathing room I was always the tag she is beautiful little thing these are all super important things you know 20 years ago people probably threw this stuff out and just kept the watch but now it is with the resale value of these watches and the way things are on the market you got to keep all this good stuff that's really important in here of course we have the regular flap everything comes down there's my receipts all wrapped up nice irregular little booklets and then we have this little card which has the information about the the material it's made from so that course they have X tear boy stur steel the famous and extremely sought-after very cool we've another little booklet with your usual stuff instructions info things we ignore general and then of course the most important part goes almost as important as the watch no equally as important as a watch for sure this time around I just got my last name and initial on the other side of the card last time I made a mistake of giving my full name which is probably not a good idea if I ever sell the watch on and it means if I want to give this watch as a gift to somebody of my family it's got the family name on it right that works alright so I'm gonna get in nice and close with some gloves on now give you guys a good look so here she is there's waiting lists all around the world for this model I can't myself is very lucky to be able to have had chosen it from a bunch of other stainless steel models that are also difficult to get so I count my blessings for sure it is the one one six six one zero Ln 14 millimeters across 40 from here or 40 from here about 44 45 if you go from here to here so you include the crown grand guards in the crown this has the 31:35 movement tried-and-tested movement all the usual stuff what can I say you've probably seen ten thousand videos about this watch it is the icon of course the bezel turns around with a beautiful smooth movement incredibly perfect feeling under my fingertips here zero back play will not go back at all a super super solid as you would expect from an amazing watch like this also being brand new white gold around the indices on the dial and of course the Cyclops revealing the the date function it's a 2.5 magnification of the date this is a very very famous look a lot of people love the other the one one four zero six zero the no date because of its equilibrium beautiful watch so I was offered one of those but there's just something about the Cyclops it's one of those things you see across the room you see a Rolex and you know it's a Rolex I'm one of the one of the giveaways there's the famous Cyclops it's just a thing you either love it or hate it but the world has really gotten used to it at this point and honestly at this point I think a Rolex without one looks a little funny of course it is 904 l steal the whole watch all stainless steel no precious metal whatsoever other than the white gold that's on the indices and hands that's to prevent corrosion over the years prevents these little parts from falling apart very very nice touch it's a beautiful steel look at the way that catches the light there this is all satin finish of course no high gloss down the center here like you will find on the GMT master - or on the yacht master 40 etc but you do have high gloss around the sides so all around the side of the head there is high gloss and then the side of the bracelet and of course the clasp has high gloss on the sides only but from here it's all satin so that's brushed finish so let's pop open the clasp have a look it's the classic Holcomb beak system that she comes how's that for perfection and of course you have the famous glide lock system here which pops open kind of releases like that and the bracelet glides along so you can tighten it up or loosen it it is officially a diver's watch although it's not only divers that buy it clearly in fact I don't think anyone dives with this kind of watch anymore the kind of price that they cost but the idea would be that this goes around your wetsuit so you can expand it to go around your wetsuit these days I think what people are doing including me is I had remove one link from the bracelet with the position kind of centered so that it fit me there in the store that means on an extra cold air or when I'm very dehydrated I can tighten it up nice or on a hot day I can give it a little bit of a loosen and away I go also these are screw bolts here no pins and collars no annoying ways of removing and adding links these are just regular screws if you have a small screwdriver a nice precision screwdriver you can actually do the job yourself just be careful not to scratch anything or lose any of your parts case back as always what Rolexes case practice absolutely nothing going on completely uneventful but as always you know the beauty of the the precision of the engineering and build can be seen even though it is super simple of course it is the new design the post 2010 design so it has the sarah chrome vessel the ceramic bezel highly scratch resistant it has the PIP which you notice the difference between the ceramic and the pre ceramic is that the PIP kind of stands a little higher I can touch it there in the light you see it sticking up there like a little zit and it stays within the triangle it doesn't bleed over the spaces of the triangle you'll notice with the pre ceramic models it actually bleeds over slightly into the actual bezel and there's a little flatter so you'll notice that difference between your when you're browsing online for a first Submariner you'll notice the difference between the ceramic and the pre ceramics in that way details on the course on the dial are ridiculously beautiful hidden away down there we have our little crown that is laser etched into the sapphire crystal it's very very difficult to do and it is one of the ways of identifying a genuine non-genuine of course this has the Rolex repeat re hot so it says Rolex repeatedly around the rehad they're almost all the way around down here you have the serial number on the inside it used to be the case that you would have to remove the bracelet and the serial number would be on the inside of the case here very annoying way of checking the serial number now all you need to do is reverse the watch turn it around and take a good look in here and you'll see the serial number inside here very handy very nice crown works as you would expect beautifully it's got the trip lock system so right now it's kind of locked you can't wind the watch you can't do anything with the watch right now it is sealed of this watertight water-resistant so I'm going to unlock it and she pops then a little pro tip here if you turn it clockwise just a tiny bit it pops again you see now it's fully popped out how many people tell you that they they say that you just release it this way and then pops all the way out now you just need to give it a slight touch in the opposite direction that fully pops that it is no longer fully water resistant it is partially water resistant because it is it has three washers going along so now one of the washers is still inside the watch maturer are revealed so you can't go swimming with it or anything but if it does get splashed really quick like this there's no real need to freak out so soon it does have a certain level of water resistance right now but obviously if you want the full shebang you got a locker back up again now the watch can be wound beautiful heavy movement on are my fingers even through the gloves I can feel how beautiful a silky and buttery that is very very nice if I pull it out to the furthest position now as you can see the second hand has stopped indicating that it is a hacking movement the movement has now hacked which enables you to set the watch precisely so now I can set the time now in the second position it does not hack so you can see that the seconds hand this continuing but now I can set the date so you can see the debt the date being set there and then I could knock it off I push in I put pressure and then I turn to screw the crown back in now here's a protip before I do that in order to make sure that it grabs the thread correctly and it doesn't double thread the watch overtime little pro tip is to push in and turn back for a second until you feel that thread I just felt that thread pop so it fell down into the next position so now I know and I'm turning I maintain the pressure and then I turn clockwise and now I know going properly in on the threads on the inside just a little pro tip to take care of your watch over time so this of course is the super case they updated this case in 2011-2012 when they moved over to ceramic on this model it's a larger case it wears a lot larger on the wrist than the pre ceramic model and of course it has the maxi dial so larger indices than the older versions of making it easier to read so let's take a look about that this is not looming over or super-luminova this is the new lumen ova made by Rolex that they call chroma light it's very very recognizable because it glows slightly blue as you can see it's kind of blue at a tiny bit of green in it whereas luma nova looks quite green I have a Breitling watch on me I show you the comparison with my bright thing that's the bright lingam it's quite green so you can see how blue the chroma light is it's very attractive looking so very very beautiful so I thought you'd appreciate a more natural light setting for a moment you see how the nine or four L steel catches the light like that very beautiful let me give the Loom a little bit of a power up there look at that a big bulky wrist oh can you get any better than that huh not even in this room light you can see the loom is still kind of popping so I reckon let's take her around Italy a little bit I'll walk down into the piazza go get a coffee and show her around her new home here we go [Music] [Applause] [Music] you [Music]
