Rockwood Geo Pro Travel Trailer- Flagstaff E Pro Factory Tour | How the Geo Pro and E Pro are made

[Applause] hi i'm ben host of the Freebirds channel i've got two quick things before we get this factory tour started thing number one this video isn't sponsored by Forest River in any way shape or form when I first heard about the Rockwood geo pro and the Flagstaff ePro I was really intrigued because I found out that they're putting a lot of really quality things into these trailers and a lot of innovative things to that either a weekend or even a full-timer would normally put in themselves so I was really excited about this real little trailer but I wanted to find out hey is this all just sales pitch or is this real so I wanted to see it for myself so I did so completely on my dime and then also I wanted to share it with you guys too so thing number two the factory environment is really hard to get good clean audio yeah I can turn it up but then you're gonna get blasted out by the by the noise as well I wanted you to be able to catch everything that Anthony the tour guide is saying because I feel like it's an important part of the tour so what I'm not actually gonna do is turn the audio volumes way down and just caption everything so that you won't miss a thing well that's all I got let's get this party started [Music] [Applause] with your bare frame [Music] [Music] well you generally care about your horse if your UPS or FedEx we think you care about your cargo to that you're delivering this box with broken items in it so you're going to use the better axle suspension it's a better ride a smoother ride and it's going to keep everything [Applause] but in torsion axle some upgraded system not only going to give you a better ride ten years on abortion we're doing this really sets us apart from majority in the industry only faces one [Music] [Music] we're starting with full range 16 inch or less on center important detail there is your pole aluminum frame manufactures will play the theme of full Luminess framing and then members you want everything in there to be aluminum you peek in the top corner there too you can see you're getting that aluminum dropped on top you've got fiberglass wool insulation here on the bottom it's a dark oh boy sure barrier that's going to do that wool insulation soaking up way you also notice that we do wrap it around the edges here so everything's protected all the way around structure wood floor this isn't going to be just a traditional OSB this is something that warehouser structure would they're really going to stand by they know it's going to last for the length that you own the trailer the next two or three owners after that having one piece in there it's extremely important that is like glued down to your cross members and everything we screwed down about every 12 to 14 inches as well so it is a screwed include 4 goes on there once that's all finished up then you see we actually used to use other brands of linoleum we're using this and another brand and when that other brand was tears and defects in production and productions having to fix it it's like this was showing none we should probably make a switch to one brand you can only imagine stand up I'm seeing a battery set off is that standard yep yep battery disconnect is going to be standard on everything that we do I generally say a lot of features that some manufacturers pitch like you know battery disconnect black tank flush is winterizing lits and all the things that every RV should have and that's their sales pitch we almost forget to talk about them because you should have we're the features we talk about are going to be your snacks those things that are upgrades that no one else is even intending to do just because they don't want and I'm sure we'll see you later on a completed trailer but as even exciting that these already have been covers install along that's something where you know you're obviously paying for it you install a back surf in and [Music] we twice as expensive for the Under do that labour or pull wires hook it all up maybe they're gonna steal wire and it's gonna cost you twice alright the only wire head wire or the light so turn your fan on [Music] [Music] Oh [Music] less fittings you have the higher your water pressure to the beat see all our nature right be also seeing a water filter there standard feature on pretty much every rock on every Rock very first thing you gotta do 20 [Music] we'll just give it to you [Music] see manufacture you gotta see what again it works you can't long enough you've got [Music] you know somebody that sat down on a wood frame [Music] gonna break it could break [Music] yeah all your styles are going to be pre-drilled with the Kreg jig and then pocket screwed so that's something where some manufacturers are are just going you know styles and doing a corrugated fastener essentially an oversized staple it works for a couple trips but over the long run it's gonna have this she was pulling apart and getting gap [Music] you don't see touch around and feel then you'll find the difference so what we're seeing at this point getting the sidewalls installed all of our sidewalls that we install are all built in our own very own lamination soda very few that does our own lamination for everything that we built a lot other manufactures kind of share a building where they're vacant you know four six seven different brands we're only making side walls roofs etc for Rocklin flags happen really they're the exact same thing between a rock what you're seeing with your wall full aluminum frame your one inch aluminum frame one inch which everything together there's gonna hear you're gonna suck out all your air and all your moisture what are the two things that aren't nice and glue low tare boys so how do you eliminate them put it back what that's going to lead to the full bond all the way through top spot all the way through it's gonna lead to a better longer-lasting slide-out framing those are all gonna be frayed block all the way through there is [Music] we saw that wood framing inside her wooden stirrers you what are they doing a lot of times maybe they're doing some aluminum framing shoving wool insulation they're slapping X in the exact same way we build our side there's even some manufactures out there giving you an aluminum frame trailer with a wood frame on glass back trailer at that point it's ignore fight sneaking in shiny fiberglass not only is that back wall full wheel and this is on everything we go we're gonna put steel backwards laminated inside of that wall so that's where the bladder gets routed so that's why we're able to give you 300 pounds [Music] so it's a TPO material at alpha Superflex 3 that's something we've been using for years now composite type material it's not like your rubbery EPDM who thing that you had to you know clean all the time because in chalk you'll have to be treated I think they say Murphy's Oil Soap Gaunt dish soap medium bristle scrub brush you clean it 12 year warranty on it something extremely easy to take care of but again we want you on top that roof inspecting for seals just because little extend the life here trial if you never check your seals you might have issues with your trail just like you never change the oil in your car you probably have issues we hope you change the oil in your car we hope you check do you know it is there a specification one person up there so it's 300 pounds capacity on that roof [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] well I hope you finding the tour interesting and informative so far I went into this tour with the expectation that I was gonna be seeing a stepped-up level of quality but you know what to be honest I've been amazed they're they're delivering way more than they're promising in my opinion and you want to stay tuned until the very end of the video because their quality control department does something on the very last step that absolutely just blew my mind so speaking of stay theory we kind of remnant to the water testing out there that's one of the last things they do in this plant or this side of the building then we take it the other side to do a lot of your fit and finish items all your then all your full functional testing as well over there cat self-explanatory we'll just peek through [Music] well good I charge my batteries how that inverter now you can plug it you can charge your phone charge your laptop you can do punch different items that not just 12-volt functioning your microwave you're going to be able to do a lot of essentials with your outlet [Music] when it says if that's LTE ready does that mean that you just need a SIM card or do you need more equipment put in it or how's that Wi-Fi Ranger in its simplest forms just going to boost that's it before you yeah the LTE capabilities we we actually sell it's an LT module okay so you got to go in I think there's four screws on top of the modulator Ranger pop that out pop that module in go buy a SIM card from 18 to the light whoever they and you put that SIM card in get your data plan and now you're creating your own beauty of the Wi-Fi Ranger - it also provides with the secured network you can do use of features there safe surf feature so anytime you're on public Wi-Fi you're not suppose to check your credit cards your banking this and that because there's really smart computer people out there much cooler than myself they can get on and look at stuff but with that safe surf feature now your secured private network smart people you this is your roof membrane material here again it's extremely fun it's really gonna take a lot of mistakes to do anything to this but I get 12 year warranty on it a lot easier to take care of between caps here we don't put that front cap on until you get that roof membrane tucked underneath where that front cap goes lay that cap on top fasten that all down again your roof membrane too and you can barely see it we do wrap it around the edges of that going over top of that [Music] my favorite thing you've seen a fifth-wheel for if you look at ours it's just straight white you want it sealed we're gonna make sure it's all sealed up if you're not Hevy you're spending more money [Music] [Music] all signups in what our full aluminum frame lock compress foam in their lowly laminate [Music] you [Music] you can see that hinge on the top they're going to open out like this [Music] [Music] that trailer where a lot of manufacturers you have to give you a power fan but I know you guys have seen them they're about getting big they have power too so it is a power [Music] after seeing some of this stuff I got that I convinced you guys to go into Kyoto instead of a [Music] [Music] we made it for the most important step in the entire [Music] I mean come on what's the first thing you see on the trailer [Music] [Music] things on there to make sure things aren't free names are on there thank you to meet our brightest [Music] infections going on now so things have been out is here there would it make sure they've been added correctly they look right they work great feel right smell right in center [Music] so going through and taping up little details here and there see a bunch of tape in there it's kind of scary at first show that's a lot of tape well we want to make sure we find and see everything every little you don't have to complain about a cooking style or a nick or mark here why did they put money over that staple or this or that so later on it'll be functional testing as well so whole aesthetic Bowl farm show and it's inside and outside should be an out green tape on this one on the outside taking off every little detail there is not a good trailer you want to make sure it looks good [Music] see the storage so you're looking at out Danny latech machine here tractor trailers and you've seen soapy water has been sprayed over pretty much the entire train is blowing air inside your trailer you've got a boy you can see now this you have any type of bubbles coming out you know you guys allows us to see every little detail there that's not something that everybody does some people just draw out the items you hope the people they have look in have really good this is gonna make sure that everything filled up there for you cuz it's around baggage doors it's even around these little magnetic door hold windows slide-out grill rails everything on that trailer just spray it around to make sure that it's sealed up correctly if it's not it's a nice big bubble last thing you want it's a customer is water infiltration we think so the last thing we check for because we want to make sure that it's going to come out to you sealed off ready to go [Music] [Music] [Music] right there yeah I don't watch Youtube links (because for some reason Firefox freezes when I do - I have to use Explorer for YT) But, with the universal issue of water leakage, you'd think they would have figured out how to make a trailer waterproof by now. Actually, it pisses me off that there are so many very nice used trailers for sale out there with water issues. New trailers aren't cheap either.

The thing that surprised me so much about this video is those workers are MOVING. It makes you better realize why new models roll off the line needing things repaired right away. I hope they're paid well, because that would be a terrible job, IMO.

I am dealing with one of my trailers getting leeks in every where. They really are built like crap.
