Roadmap to MAANG in 2024: is Hype Over? DSA Gone?

in this world currently many students still think are top Fang companies man companies it is next to Impossible today I'm going to change the myth and tell you the nitty-gritty details with the road map to crack a mang company in 2024 now start with the hype before recession hype to get into big tech companies was extremely extremely high but after Amazon meta started to lay off many employees things change but the question is are things getting better for you in 2024 the answer is yes I have been recruiting at top companies companies I have talked to recruiters I have been a recruiter I have done DSA interviews and I have taken DSA interviews as well I have helped the recruiter in shortlisting resumes as well to start with the hype for 2024 and I can definitely say that the hype is still there even though Ki cases made the hype for Quant companies especially in the US has actually surpassed the big tech companies called mang Quant may you can get $400,000 as well the cap is much higher big Tech May $250,000 the max you see for a fresher so in the US especially in India if you want to compare it might be 1 CR versus 2 CR for for a Quant versus big tech company so that's why I think the hype has become bigger for a Quant company but that does not change the fact if you're not into the data science side you have to have to learn DSA and still crack an interview using DSA there is chat GP who can solve all my questions how are things changing so things are changing because AB we used to First give k first question do it online then give it to us but they have the checkers that they can check if the code is generated through AI maybe it might not be perfect but that's why that interview round is very small part there is on screen round which is same as before and in that on screen round they have the tools to catch you be ASAS there is no second computer your eye level is completely matching they can predict easily so things with AI related to DSA interviews have not changed at all same process but difference is online question in the email that has reduced cases that will not be sent at all it was called screening ground first coding screening ground without a person because interviewers know you can use chat GPT and get the answer because chat GPT is strong enough question if you get a question which is not even in lead code still chat GPD can somehow give an answer close to that solution and you can fix it so that's why it becomes really difficult for us recruiters to give you a problem so that's why in person first oneon-one round whether it's phone interview round whether it's a video chat round whether it's Google Facebook meta Microsoft they will still do it and check your confidence level the way you are speaking and that you are cheating or not now number two thing which is very important is what is the road map to follow because if you do not have a structure you will fail which is completely wrong structure you have to make a structure every single day I will be coding for at least 1 hour on lead code and there have there are many Chrome extensions to help you as well if you want to achieve the habit of coding every day practicing DSA every day system that it allows you to not to fail this habit you can check out some Chrome Chrome extensions which are allowing you lead code question solve Chrome will not let you browse the internet so there are many tools to help you you have to figure out what's your best way of making the system that every day you have the timer you have the reminder you can code every single day for 1 hour chyy habits now number two step is do you have to do all the lead code questions because 14 to 1,600 lead Cod problems are there and the answer is absolutely not what is important is Concepts my favorite free DSA series is 75 problems of lead code which covers all the concepts there is a YouTube channel called NE code on 75 lead code Concepts Plus answers 75 questions solve with those 75 questions you can get access to most of the concepts so 99% of the concepts will be clear now next step since you know ke where are all the concepts in the shortest amount of time that is 75 problems solved by code videos at least you have all the information at least seen in your mind this problem is similar to that so 75 problems done now next step is ask the employer whenever the interview comes you need to see in the last few years which are the topics which are repeating so for that my favorite friend has been lead code P you can see which questions are most frequently Asked which concepts are most frequently asked if you do not have lead code subscription I saw that many pages on Reddit have revealed many pages on blind have revealed K aill in the last few months which concepts are more common which questions are more common just focus on that because it's not about covering all the questions it is about doing the questions that matter which are current because every year the current questions change her Google Facebook they change and update the questions they ask they have asked some question related to DFS maybe they change it to BFS so you have to be ready because smartw is more important than hard work now next step you might be thinking yeah DSA is done no DSA is not done DSA is only done when you actually give mock interviews as well man personally I actually bought algo expert to give mock interviews with many people from Japan China Silicon Valley W it is paid it is around $100 but for one year I got access to many programmers who are focused and want to do interview with me so 1 hour I took their interview 1 hour they took my interview so you really have to find the community of the people recomend check out many Discord channels where you can find so there is a Discord Channel by herir which is really really big and which is free as well and I I have seen there is Discord channel of many other developers you can find just by searching on Discord on Discord Channel P you can just say yeah is anyone available to do pair programming with me a mock pair programming session mock interview style programming so 1 hour you take their interview one hour they take your interview so if you follow this process I'm very very honest process follow one day you will have the mindset of how to solve the problems you it's not just about k there is a process you have to walk through the entire solution impl then let's optimize it you have to continuously talk through the problem who is master of coding you have to explain as if he's a 5-year-old boy who has no idea and you have to explain in layman terms Master skill by doing at least 20 MO interviews mock interviews are really really important whether it is in DSA or whether it is in system design and which brings us to the next part which is system design because currently in this market data proofs you are needed if you have some skills above a basic engineer2 they are going to hire anyone because there was more demand less Supply but now there is more Supply and less demand so that's why to compensate you need to have holisticals you should know about scaling you should know about cloud-based development experiences combined in system design in the whole world of programming many cohorts cover it I covered the complete devops plus the knowledge readed for Android complete system end to end to end to end whether you want to gain expert in web development Android iOS I'm trying to do it if you want to check out you can check out for know the system complete system end to it knowledge without looking at a tutorial one day just point that you are coding from your mind not from your picture based memory tutorial no when you when things come from your heart and mind together you are ready so you have to continuously practicing every single day 5% is effort of a teacher but 95% effort is just yours but in the world of programming only 5% responsibilities of teacher 95% because you will forget the coding infrastructure and the knowledge if you are not implementing on your own and after gaining all the knowledge whether it is DSA whether it is complete endtoend knowledge in your area of expertise web mobile AI iOS or whatsoever what whatsoever you want to do end to end knowledge next step is just continuously trying I failed Microsoft interview six times it took me six times to fail and succeed to reach this point point and for meta I have failed twice still never been able to crack Google I have failed three times still never been able to crack but just Amazon and you know Microsoft it worked out so who knows where your luck will take you who knows K are if you have cracked today tomorrow you will be able to crack as well so there is definitely a scope of luck in it but luck only favors you if you're continuously trying and continuously failing because failing means you are one step close to
