RimWorld Royalty [3] Why kitty?! [1.1 | 2020]

hello everyone and welcome back to rim world so in the last episode we got started building our defenses we got started with this tunnel that's going to help Raiders not fashion our wall here and we got started with the bedrooms along with dubs hygiene mods the toilet basin shower and bathtub nothing but the best for our cultists in this episode I'm hoping to finish this up finish up our defenses in our tunnel and hopefully get started on some warm clothes for the fall and in doing that we're probably gonna need to finish making our crafting room we also have to figure out what to do with Nanami I'm probably gonna wait for a slaver to come and maybe purchase her for probably no money at all or the Royal attribute collector who does take prisoners hopefully they'll take her for something I am also going to take Nanami off of our herbal medicine to doctor care but no medicine I should have done that before when Luke was taking care of her heart attack because we wasted a lot of our herbal medicine but luckily we had some to spare and we just got a nice harvest in but just in case that happens again I'm turning that off also now that we have a ton of kibble I am going to start training our Cougars to halt I also have this hunt I think this is a mod go hunt for me but if we train them in hunt occasionally from time to time they'll go out and and fight something and bring it back to us so that will be it'll be really helpful so I went ahead and checked that off to okay it looks like our bedrooms are done now exciting let's finish this piping I have to go down to here and then that I think that's all that needs to get done because we have our bedrooms I can reassign owners here so this is going to be jolly and and this is going to be Luke it's a little dirty inside not at all like this nice area but I think for the time being maybe we can have this be our medical area before we start building out our actual medical area how much steel do we have I don't think we have much at all and I think I'm gonna have to yeah our meats our meat is rotting away so I think we need another another cooler I'll put it here so what's wrong with you no water capacity Oh attacking immediately no they are preparing a defense but we have most of our defenses up so I can set up our colonists up here by the embrasures but I will wait for them to initiate the attack first permanent mood effect of minus six that sucks and she's really ugly so other people aren't gonna like to look at her let's see she eats fast no she eats slow and she can't even plant um I mean I can have her around as a hauler or a healer that would be nice that might be nice all right might as well try to do at least keep her in here hey jelly you can go ahead and capture her Norman how are you you okay you're not even bleeding thank goodness for that we need a light in here I'm gonna grab one of these lights that just need fuel and I'm also gonna put one in here all right and I probably shouldn't have gone this long without cueing up another research project and I think what I'm going to research is either some work attire to get faster faster workers or I'm gonna go into smithing and probably try to get some mortars because I'm afraid of mech clusters I know mech clusters might have a mortar shield but I'd still be a little comfortable trying to get that up and running so maybe I'll cue that up right after a work attire yeah let's see how that goes so we got some antiseptic bandages which I believe is from a mod so it's similar to medicine but slightly less effective I'm assuming it's more effective than herbs but of course less effective than traditional medicine so that's neat I'm gonna go ahead and have this halt urgently and it looks like our hygiene mod is working hooray oh never mind oh yeah there we go I think because the wind isn't blowing yeah even my wood wind turbine is is sleeping but once this once this starts going we'll get some water in here but I'm not getting an error for our kitchen sink I am down here but only because we haven't finished piping yet hey we are online Oh a man hunter pack all right a pack of man hunting double sheeps would be so neat how are they Wow that's pretty high DPS skeletal horses are the remains of horses that have succumbed to the Lich Kings play that's neat I'm not gonna read anymore in case you guys don't know well but that's me they're not gonna buy anything from us I could buy their new troe but I kind of want to save up my money I don't really have any use for it right now same with gold I am going to need gold but I'm gonna chill I think I actually have some gold down here I might be making that up I might be thinking of this Jade but we can strip mine all through these mountains and probably find some gold that's not going to be a problem alright I'm gonna stop jolly from mining of this I think we have quite enough steel and what I want to do is get started on our crafting room so just like that and then I'll add I don't need that fancy door but I can add a door here and I will add a door here and a door there I'm gonna go ahead and recruit or attempt to recruit Nerine the blood elf she's not great but she is a quick sleeper and she can be my hauler the best part about her is medical and he can't really say no to a good doctor okay and now we have our crafting room all built up I'll put in some lights let's see here Furniture wall lights are the best lights we'll just start in this corner here for light I'm gonna move the managers desk over here I'm gonna move the stone cutting table over here so actually I'm gonna need another light and power and I'm going to move our research bench down here as well research benches should go usually in their own room that is sterile and clean but for now we're just gonna keep it in our crafting room and I'm going to clean these stools and reinstall them here so that they are nice and comfortable I think I'm going to move these sculptures into one of these urns do let's see they have a beauty of nineteen that's that's really nice Oh cuz turquoise has a two hundred and twenty percent modifier that's wonderful and a plus eight so these are these are awesome I guess I will also put them in the crafting room and maybe I'll put one inside of the kitchen so the kitchen looks nice we also got a new quest the deserter before I even look at it I know what it is if we want to be enemies to the Fallen Empire the the royal people who gave us favor we can by accepting this quest and they will give us all of the size the psychic powers that we would normally get through the Fallen Empire but I'm going to ignore this I want jelly to become a princess slash countess I guess so we're not we're not going to do the deserter I'm going to just throw that away research request opportunity bogey hi Stella lark of fallen Empire has a message they are researching researching some artifact would seem to have hit some roadblock they ask for your help by your best researcher and are willing to share some of the insights if research goes well so this is actually a pretty good quest all we have to do is send our best researcher to this area let's see where it is over here how far uh how long is that gonna take to get there let's just choose jolly as our one day hmm because I think Luke is our researcher right intellectual of nine and then I think yeah no one else is really that good so Luke with your bad back let's see how long this would take almost two days 1.7 days hmm I think what we need to do first is train up our Cougars to be mounts which is the giddyup mod and then maybe we can consider sending Luke to that research opportunity all right let's get a tailoring bench set up let's put it close to our stock pile here I guess I really do want to get more room but well we'll just put it up here for now and I'll move it later all right what do we want to make we need warm clothes for winter so tooks are always good I'm gonna make one per colonists we're gonna count equipped and also count one away and we're gonna set the hit points to 50% and this is just going to check that every hat that we have is more than 50% and I don't really care about the quality right now I don't want it made out of double strand just in case we get up get some double strands somehow and I don't want it made with hyper weave I'm also going to queue up some dusters one per colonists same rules as before no double strands or hyper weave we're gonna make double strand dusters later no worries about that let's see what else do I want to make for them I am still researching worker attire so I don't want to go crazy right now I might make some boots because they have plus 10% movement speed which is really nice and might be really good for Luke and is bad back aprons are always good they've got global work speed 10% and labour speed 10% but I don't want to get overzealous so I'm just going to just make some Chuck's and dusters right now I'm also gonna put salvaged apparel up here at the top set this to forever allow all but not clean so what we're going to be doing is salvaging any and all tainted apparel so all those dead people up here unfortunately there there's no more but whenever someone dies we're gonna we're gonna strip them and salvage their clothes for whatever resources we can get from them so I forgot I should probably set someone to be our tailor so we got Norman or Luke who can tailor and Luke is doing so much he's cooking he's researching I'm gonna give it to Norman and just put that at one I'm gonna wall in our butcher area um with our fancy walls I I should have made this out of fancy walls I totally forgot so what I'm gonna go ahead as is just replace these walls with our fancy walls all right that is much better much prettier so let's go ahead and put in our vent into the butcher area so that means whenever there is a dead carcass and here it'll stay frozen just like the just like the fridge here the bird has gone mad but I think we're safe up here unlike last time so why is Norman cooking but not oh I have him set to one oh yeah because Luke was with this is that we do not have any package survival meals or pemmican so I'm a little hesitant to start caravanning right now so early in the game cougar - it's given birth oh ho look at Google mercury salts coarse rock salts we've got some sulfur I think I don't know if they're from the same mod but they kind of do the same thing there they're all involved in medicines and other crafting materials it's it's a mod man I need to figure out power we're having a lot of issues keeping everything online with just one wind turbine I wonder if I should get some kind of fueled generator going let's see power wood-fired generator yeah I think that would be a good a good decision especially because we have so much wood I'm actually not gonna put it right next to the wall here especially this room and make our crafting room in our stockpile room a little bigger okay so whenever we deconstruct we have to remove the roof area I have been burned by that many many times if you do not remove the roof area it will cave in on you and it will hurt you all right so that that has been removed we are gonna go ahead and deconstruct this except not the power conduits so I can I can select similar and cancel that and we are going to need to quickly build a wall here as well so that this stays walled in and we got a new recruit Marine welcome marine are ugly blood elf she's equipping things already that's fine you can wear whatever you want let's make a room for her here and set her work up she's gonna be my doctor she's gonna do all these things definitely refuel and rearm in fact Norman you don't have to do those things anymore can you help cook it's an 8 that's not too bad you can butcher and brew whenever we start brewing beer you can help with that and then be a backup is going to be two as well I'm gonna put managing at one for her because again I mentioned this last video it doesn't really matter what their skill is for managing as far as I know it just speeds here next thing I want to do is add a an area where they'll be managed to clear to cut down these trees so I'm going to make a new area called clear and that's going to go definitely in our kill box because we don't want Raiders hiding behind these trees here I also like to put clear in front of the doors here and here yeah because of this because of this reason there's a door right or a tree right in front of the door so that slows us down by a lot and I also like putting it in front of our buildings here so that we can walk in and out without running into a tree okay so once that's set up then I go into our colony manager and yeah and I go under for stream you job clear areas and I select clear so that's going to automatically clean a lot automatically it's going to tell the colonists to clear anything that's in this zone clear whenever someone actually goes to the managing desk so actually I'm gonna have Luke I'm gonna have you go do that so jobs are done that's not true per 18 hours it'll be similar size to one scavenger gunner went scavenger Thrasher I can't do that and look I got a tech print as a reward circadian influence I don't know what that means let's see what is this oh it's right for it it's a tech print for a research project that's new with 1.1 let's see what does it do it just unlocked circadian assistant circadian half cycler and our artificial
