hello friends welcome back to another episode of Reddit I don't work here lady where people are still mistaken for employees when they clearly aren't I've got five short ones for you in this one I hope you stay for all of them and subscribe for future videos this story is titled not even mistaken for a human so this happened about four years ago I worked in data support as fun as it sounds for a company that was situated in the business district of my city in that job it was extremely important to leave the building on your lunge not doing so meant others assumed you were having a working lunch on lunch I would go into the shopping areas of the city and just look around grab something to eat and ensure I was back in work at exactly the time I needed to be and no earlier this day I decided to go into Primark which is a clothing store in the UK I was casually browsing the shirts and completely in a world of my own I must have been looking around the same area for a few minutes when I felt a presence to the right of me now this isn't unusual it's a busy store in the middle of lunchtime and a fairly tight space between the clothes rails I got fed up of looking at the shirts and I turned to walk away only to hear Oh [ __ ] Christ I turned to see the man that was stood close to me with a look of sheer terror in his eyes staring at me for a moment of disbelief this confused me a lot I was about to ask if everything was okay and this guy's terror turns to a relieved laugh covering his face and turning quite red at the scene he'd just made in a busy store and he said I thought you were a mannequin this story's titled I was finally freed today just a quick encounter I had with a crazy lady today my kids have the day off from school so I took the day off from work and we had a daddy-daughter date I took them out to breakfast and then a trip to the mall we started off in one of the department stores and my daughters decided to start looking there for new outfits now I love my daughters but shopping is absolutely not my thing so while they're looking for clothes I'm standing over by one of the counters waiting and reading on my phone I hear someone making noise behind me so I look up and there's a lady standing there with it huge armful of clothes I figured she was heading to checkout so I moved over to the side of the counter she says excuse me and I figured she's talking to one of the employees a few seconds later she yells excuse me and I look up to see what's going on that's when I realized that she was talking to me by this time people are staring at us including my daughters this is the rest of the encounter me is me and Cl we'll be crazy lady I said yeah she replies don't ya me take these I don't want any of them she sticks the clothes out towards me and I said yeah I don't work here she then responds I don't care what department you work in take the damn clothes now on any other day I would have simply told her to piss off and go find someone who works there but since I was out with my daughter's I decided to handle it a little differently I said excuse me she's getting really pissed at this point and she yells again take the goddamn clothes and this time she shoves the clothes into my chest I looked down at the clothes for a second and then look at her with a huge smile on my face and said Master has presented Dobby with clothes Dobby is free and I threw the entire pile of clothes back in her face she was standing there stunned and shocked people in the store were cracking up laughing my oldest daughter was trying to hide because she was so embarrassed which is nothing new I walked over to my girls and asked if they found anything they liked they had it so we laughed as we were walking out I could see crazy lady yelling at a couple of actual employees who looked like they were doing their best not to laugh also this one's titled please get out of my car I've been reading a few stories on here about people getting into cars that aren't there uber and it reminded me of my own this happened a little while ago I was outside a bar waiting for my boyfriend to pick me up driving my car and I see this girl stumbling out of the bar heading towards the road at the same time I see my car pull up and head towards it but quickly stop as the girl opens the passenger door of my car gets in now my poor boyfriend is so confused and he's just staring at me through the windshield being like what the [ __ ] do I do and he tells her that this is not her uber and that he's picking up his girlfriend this chick is adamant however saying that this definitely is her uber because you know she ordered one and this had to be it by this point I'm standing at the passenger side door telling her that she's in the wrong car but now she's refusing to get out and telling my boyfriend to take her home people are starting to come out of the bar and are watching the scene unfold I'm at my wit's end because she's making a scene and telling me to go get your own uber and my boyfriend is yelling at her to get out finally her actual uber rocks up and she gets the notification and awkwardly stumbles out of my car no apology or anything and they drive away to this day I still find this so bizarre and hilarious this story's titled I hate clappers this just happened today I'm on my local Walley world which is Walmart trust in my Hawaiian shirt shorts and just not looking anything like an employee of Walmart I'm with my cart grabbing chips and salsa for gathering I have this evening a nice gal about 5 foot nothing asked me to help her get some chips from the upper shelf I being 6 foot 6 get asked often to grab things from high shelves I feel for you vertically challenged folks so I grab the chips and pass them to her she thanks me and goes on her way then it happens the Huff I turn and see her she says now that you're done flirting where can I find the batteries I chuckle and say well what kind she cuts me off and starts clapping each word that she's saying she says where are the batteries I then say I'm sorry you don't need to clap I don't work here she cuts me off again and says don't have me get your manager where clap our clap the batteries clap clap now I knew what she was asking but being that I hate clappers because it's the rudest form of communication possible I say they're over in the automotive action just talk to one of the service techs out there she storms off I continued my shopping when less than five minutes later I hear the scream that's not what I wanted where's that [ __ ] associate I start grinning here it comes she hunts me down and says they only have car batteries there I wanted small ones for electronics I look at her I smile and then say you were not specific followed by clapping each word of course her mouth drops open she gasped like I just stole all the oxygen from the area she then says where's your manager now I remotely work for a company my manager works in a different state I say to her as I tried to tell you lady I don't work here I then turned and walked away while she spews hates and vulgarity in my direction I'm calling it a good day don't clap at me I'm not performing for you this story is titled I am NOT your waitress I'm your son's girlfriend this was something that happened a while ago when I first started dating my now fiancé it came up in conversation the other day as my fiance's best man was threatening to put it in his speech much to the embarrassment of my soon-to-be mother-in-law my fiance and I met at university many many miles away from his home city we were in some of the same classes and romance blossomed we'd been a couple for a few months when he said that his parents were coming home to see him and wanted to meet me as well the plan was for all of us to go out to dinner that evening they arrived however my boyfriend had an unmissable meeting scheduled just before they were meant to be leaving we decided I'd go ahead and meet them and be interrogated and my boyfriend would try to hurry up the meeting and go straight from there I caught the bus in a town however it was just my luck that it broke down halfway through the journey meaning that I was about 15 minutes behind schedule I called my boyfriend just before his meeting to tell him and he passed on the message to his parents who replied almost instantly saying that they were already at the restaurant and gave the location of their table so I can just join them when I got there this restaurant was fancy ish you definitely were a smart casual clothing to dine there I was wearing the smartest dress that I had which was a dark red definitely not uniform I get there Tenace minutes late and a little bit sweaty and out of breath and spotted my boyfriend's parents I'd seen pictures of them so I knew what they looked like sitting at a table I put up don't you let them know you're nervous smile on and walked over there this is the conversation that followed I said hi there sorry I'm late it's lovely to meet you the mother-in-law said Oh somebody's already taken our drinks order we'll be ready to order food when the rest of our party gets here I responded I'm not your waitress I'm your son's girlfriend sorry for being late my poor future mother-in-law turned the colour of my red dress she apologised for a good two minutes while the father-in-law had a fit of giggles it was not the most conventional way of meeting the in-laws but it definitely broke the ice it wasn't brought up when my boyfriend arrived but I mentioned it afterwards and it made him laugh too although it didn't have any lasting effects my mother-in-law definitely doesn't want this announced at our wedding hey friends I hope you enjoyed
