Revisiting My Childhood Animal Crossing Towns!

one of my favorite series of all time is coming back in a huge way with Amma crossing New Horizons the very little amount of info we have it already looks like we're getting everything we wanted that's what I think and I just can't wait for this game so much so I figured I'd dig up all my old games that means the game keep one wild world city folk and of course the latest new leaf so let's enjoy this hype fueled nostalgia trip as we enjoy Animal Crossing throughout the years alright to start things off we're kicking it with vog and we're crossing for the Gamecube actually not the og it's the technically a port I think explora and Japan and of course this is I would say is my second favorite animal crossing cuz it has so much of that original brutal animal crossing charm I played blink a lot in smash 64 so I was like oh video game character I want to be linked so I was like yes our town was New York cuz it's a mega town what's a town New York I don't know we dumb kids I kind of want to like start playing this game again not even for like the channel on mine oh oh god oh we're gonna get up I have Ash's hat on from Pokemon there girl wear this one but I like this shirt I got a Mario I made I I spent so I remember my grandpa was on the couch he was a summer afternoon and I had like I had the original cartridge for the Super Mario Brothers on the NES and I was just copying it pixel by pixel it was a little off on the cover wasn't the same as in game but whoa 2006 wait did my neighbor move away I didn't Haber those friends with did he move oh he's still here buddy boots yo what's shakin boots is my bud look at this I need to clean this up later Hayes Andrews house my house my other house I guess I guess well show this one first yep didn't I get far yeah a little Brett Farve flag this is a breach of privacy if I show my brother's house this is New York baby hey you had a pretty sweet house gypsy up get balloon fight my favorite any had kitchen your math this is New York this is the starting square in the original game come down from the train station reporter is and you share a little acre together I always like this like the house is being together and facing each other they're like an angle this is my brother statue for paying off all his debt oh yeah this is all coming back to me wow this is so cool I like that let's do a house tour god this is a mess yeah this is where I grew up in this pigsty yeah there's more down here so the majority of this is from when we actually played the game I don't I don't want to make you think that oh it just looks that bad because they didn't play for a while it's like no no we were just really bad at look at my little orchard a little tiny tree give the peaches I'm gonna clean this down up all right house tour welcome to end crossing cribs to New York oh I got some junk oh here we go we got a Nintendo bench yeah Mario statue get a Gamecube logo get the Master Sword get all these games pinball oops Donkey Kong the og dock on junior had that one too ace did I bloom fight I must add bloom fight yeah there we go I would play balloon fight a lot and it actually made you invincible look how I'm blinking oh this is great this game so yeah I liked Mario themed items big Mario guy big Mario guy big Nintendo shell let's go into the basement what the heck all right so this was just storage I guess literally a basement me that's what I thought it was he's in my room no hamster he's still running got slot machine cool dice a cool bed this is a pretty sweet place I hang out here actually I'm gonna wear that shirt all right and that's the house I guess a lot smaller then I later houses let's walk around see the sights of New York the Big Apple post up oh yeah I guess show you guys my backyard basically you could buy these signposts they could pull off from anywhere just have a million signs um so what I did was I bought a ton and put them together to make like a fenced in area like you can't get in to my backyard unless ya come through here between my two houses and then I got a little backyard kind of a garden area went around this thing go play a lot trees signposts a mix this is my backyard I would just kind of hang out in here this is like is my space Oh balls feature that was never seen again Animal Crossing balls sub gruffly you ingrate yeah they're they're brittle in this game grizzly uh dumped here god I love the dump I hope that comes back or you can install one in it actually works like there's random items in there one today that'd be great let's go down to the second tier of New York it's 100 didn't we have yeah you Coco you guys have just been living here this whole time was that line 150 months wow wow what is that like twelve and a half years that's right what why would you test me I haven't seen you in a decade you don't know what kind of person I am yeah there's a New York flag well as graphic design was my passion haha this is where I spent a lot of my time in the able sisters I loved how their shop was by the beach was a cool place to hang out yeah I think that was supposed to be the Canadian flag at one point I wish I was kidding oh hey my fire design the flame t-that's right I want it yeah now that's hot alright moving on let's see what's up Cooper over there god this town is a pigsty aptly named New York it's gonna go through the whole museum because that's not very enchanting but uh area is my coelacanth my favorite I was so proud of that because I believe there's a way to trigger that and it's like fishing on a rainy day in the summer and you throw back X amount of fish or something but I was just doing that just fishing there was like a massive shadow in the water cast my line got me a coelacanth and apparently is really rare and I didn't know I was like oh that's Kurt this was big Wow look at this town is gone who's my little stunted trees over here still yeah well the spot so we're just things you remember just like hanging out in town like buildings ever on angles bring back the angles and while I'm here I guess we can talk about the ticket system in this game that probably won't return New Horizons but I really wish it did basically the more things you bought the more tickets you'd get and then at the end of the month that would close down a shop he'd just have like a little raffle thing and use those tickets to draffa london furniture and stuff and so the more you bought the more changes you had to win it was a cool little program I don't know why they took it out honestly also in this game the train station is really cool because if you had another memory card that had a different town on it you could plug them both in so then you could travel to your friend's town without like having to go to run line or whatever he just tell him to bring over his memory card to go to town you check it out it was cool and I wish with the switch you could like travel between different towns and different profiles but we know that's not gonna be a thing because you're gonna have one town per system but it'd be cool it'd be cool girl Belle I totally forget is there slingshot in this game I don't think there is it looks like I lost it well alright until next time link will be here in New York I'm home link uh we could store items oh that's right you could sell items that other people who lived to here could buy it was like a way to trade between players thousand bucks for a fresh shirt I want to I want to see what this is you know what I'd say it's worth a thousand I'd pay a thousand five that is real nice all right inhale on to the next game which I think you guys are in for a bit of a treat with that one on two wild world for the Nintendo DS first portable Animal Crossing game and the corn off my 3ds this is probably the most uncomfortable web ever played a video game but it's like that bad now in this game the EDA you all shared one house which was an interesting idea I think it made sense for the time I had a Gannon which was the sequel to Lincoln you couldn't tell but a boot of Ganon I got my old Mario gear with my sweet aviators preparing Green Bay there we go have fun in Green Bay and there it is my home I'll notice my sweet ride my red carpet my golden flowers my rock fence anyone that says not legitimate I will fight you money as a decoration gold roof I want to show off my wealth in this game clearly don't know why that isn't centered this isn't the prettiest looking animal crossing I'll be the first to admit that let's see what's in my house give you a house tour so once again we had the Mario themed I mean it wasn't that far above from the other one I got a little better my Mario design print I guess you know let's see how the items kind of evolve a little bit at the pixelated look with that so ready to go top room first and this was my Wilfer room here's my wealth here's my modern set room I guess this was considered in my bedroom that a coelacanth said a prehistoric creature just as my at my bedside alright alright now we have in the West room oh yeah I remember this little boxing ring I love using the boxing ring because you can roll into them well you can transfer interesting you can go all the way across Wow we're to go upstairs no basement in this game interesting choice I guess and you've a mushroom team I think this is one of the events in this game the shops were they together in this game I think they were a little pond this town is ugly this is like my first time is messy this sounds them yes it's like complete control yes give me the spotlight item our wing is like one of the best items and it's like in every game now you might be wondering why there golden flower growing out of concrete well the answer is not important well what designs did I have but a sonic pattern interesting a 2d Luigi plan because I was an epic skater boy in middle school Master Chief halo guy and black patterns had an American flag it looks like not that much else oh they're all over here so I could just always look at my designs actually yeah that's why I put it there so I could look at my designs at all times how much are in these bags nice nice nice Joey what's up Joey Wow God this town is disgusting this is just the worst at the museum though this is the first game the cafe was in and then I returned in city folk to see right over that you know I will I will take him up on that cup of coffee 200 belt 200 bells is pretty good that's like 20 real dollars and would you pay 20 real dollars to have an iced coffee poured by a large apple in a basement of a museum I would have this little Cove up here nice as peaceful I could hang here yeah this is Green Bay it was named after you know you've seen you saw the packaged stuff previously it's just--see Green Bay there's a not a bad flag not terrible better than your New York flag I would say all right is there anything else the show is that it might have been it I don't think we what's the Town Hall which i think is the post office in this game as well oh yeah it was black so this was like town hall affairs so she kinda did the Isobel job yeah it's Green Bay it's just like my wealthy mansion and then just a poor town I throw them money and never clean up and it's fine I guess on the city folk the second console mainline Animal Crossing game and then yeah we're halfway through right now I'm across in city folk for the Nintendo Wii good game these are all good games such good games look at that I won't be swinging to pick up cherries or something and we'll cross in city folk oh look at that oh this looks pretty good Rover what's up wow this looks going from the GameCube game and especially wild world this game scene looks pretty good right now and I feel like it it might be weird to to say my town name because it's named after my hometown which I'm not that far removed from so we'll just we'll just call it hometown alright so welcome to hometown my little halo oh look at that look at my Pikachu flag I don't remember having that my hair is a little messy I got my classic pilot shades that I wear in almost every animal crossing' game that I can Joey it's pretty pretty sweet pad Oh GameCube okay not bad yeah check the basement is it also storage no didn't arcade oh my god that is too many noises who tortimer this is like this is a cool place I'd hang out here you get the Wii Remote I did a lot trading with like other people add this game this is this is a sweet pad check the upstairs oh I didn't wow I actually had a room they didn't do anything with house my upstairs bed and cold bed have those gold flowers let's see the Swedes in this one lot less oh yeah got some cool designs here hey his design choice good American flag there whoops I don't probably doing that a lot Oh leave that waterfall it's a good waterfall right about that my sister's house yeah she didn't play much leave that on for now yes our establishment your hometown today always enjoyed it hello ciao that question block is like the last we have of that design you're giving it but you know this town's got my guitar listen to my music how are you oh she's from a different town on my my we friendless interesting alright well I guess we'll go to the city see it the buses coming on time hey Kevin I gotta say spread you look mighty young ru student preps yeah ha ha ha are to be young again you be a treasure greater than anything under the sea we get the short end mighty lasses get ever more lovely as they age but we lads get crusty here y'all ready how may be the city hello everyone I never really cared for the city music I'm gonna be honest and I love the soundtrack who's this oh this is the the happy room Academy yeah that's got a chat you up for an hour I ain't falling for that Lyle this is crazy red shop favorite cousin you know there's no real point to me showing you the city because it's it looks the same as any other city but it's an important feature in this game I mean it was called Animal Crossing city folk unfortunately the city get kind of boring after a while it was just like a circle that had all the shops it was just like a loading screen that was in the way of your chores and that's a shame cuz it could be a lot more maybe with like New Horizons it could be kind of like a online hub where you see other people in real time maybe they're going to the shops that are there or you could like rent out a room and it we kind of like an apartment which would be something for people that don't want to be on a stranded Island I don't know just give me something maybe big get so I can fish somewhere give me like a mini game I don't know man bus to hometown I think we're starting to learn that all my childhood towns are a mess their big mess game came out when I was like 12 right yeah thanks oh my crap so alright time to skedaddle out of here and on to the next one animal crossing new leaf on the Nintendo 3ds we're going to four tree hopefully it's not as gloomy and last but certainly not least we have the latest animal crossing mainline game also the latest handheld one I don't know it might be my favorite it's probably the best animal crossing and of course we have everyone's favorite Isabelle's as the first time she was in any animal crossing game or related whatever oh yeah that's right you're also the mayor I forgot about that the key mechanic of this game which gives you the most control over the town more than you've ever had before in a previous game obviously New Horizons you have even more control which i think is probably the best direction they can take the series that wouldn't make sense for them and dial it back and this is for tree and all right we have mayor brownie in for tree here we have my front path my lawn I guess got a little bench here get a nice backyard if you don't need those rocks or signs anymore we have we have bushes so if we can kind of make a fake back here on this little Fallon hammock to lay down on those fish why is it raining every day I keep time traveling so it's nice and sunny I could show off things we keep getting gloomy weather there we go some Sun all right and what someone moved in right in front of my house what ooh hoo Rosie I've never been so insulted in my life I had this pin area of land it's mine and she oh my god they they planted a pitfall on my property these people don't respect me I think I can fix that I think get the link maybe alright so I'm stuck with Rosie it looks like I am upset alright it's going with the tour for tree latest and greatest animal crossing experience I'm sitting with the trend of the original Animal Crossing game and wild world fake backyard that's what I like so I'm really excited New Horizons they can actually place furniture outside and fences really make like a plot of land not just like a fake one but this one you get pretty close you just buy Bush's day after day and we go across here right from my house we look at this nice area a windmill on the horizon you see the bridge they're a nice place to sit kind of look up there there's the cafe Brewster Brewster's really you know he moved out of the museum basement I got his own place I mean we had to buy it but you know my boy Wolfgang's here so yeah Bruce is doing pretty well I got a nice location hopefully no moves right in front of his guts I'm going it's boss this is my campsite this is where the Ren villagers kind of set up camp here's where that villager I was talking about before camper lives it's just a pattern slave is that is that a term in Animal Crossing community yeah nice little place we'll try it for stump you can sit on big fan of that he's passed I haven't cleaned it up in a while like people have moved in and out and kind of damaged the path a little bit but yeah I'll fix it one day for the most part all the villagers at the bottom of the town with the exception now of that one villager rosy and of course I think I think yeah this guy actually I hear we got a little Zen garden really I just planted two bamboo and that's all I really need to do they just kind of sprout up I don't really know what that was gonna do with this area yet here's the bridge it's a nice modern cube art very tasteful very nice we had a little resetti manhole get the cops you know for tree you know it's it's fun being the mayor but you got a crackdown the law people would just leave their umbrellas everywhere it's a real it's a real public health concern a nice little fountain I love this this path isn't kind of work for any season and we have the modern Town Hall of course I add a lot of modern buildings in this one Isabel you doing you're doing great Isabel for the flag we actually have the serenity no that's right it's the brown coat flag from Firefly it's just our flag now here's a nice little Park public park if any kid ever comes into town they make a kid character actually if we go over here it'll tell us like the history of fortree the great city of forgery there it is for tree mayor brownie I love this feature they just sit by your town tree and you get a little cutscene not cutscene but it's its credits yeah you get credits so we moved in June 9th 2013 that was the first day the game came out then my first thing I complete was campsite garden shop when Glen he's been apparently been in my town for six years she's a writer an icon a girl I feel like I haven't lived in the fullest I mean two people knew things I don't say I go forever that's it I'm gonna take charge of my life I'm someplace new the fourth of next month on the fourth of July you're gonna miss the festival no reconsider let me hold you back nan nan thank you here's an hour flower field in the middle of town very beautiful very you know up here from the way to the windmill we have the dump I recreate from the first Animal Crossing game because I just like the idea of having a dump and you know here's some stuff in the dump very nice walk over here Oh secret path get to the windmill beautiful oh that's right I didn't show off the beach come down here I need slime with banana trees coconut trees little stonehedge there on the water pretty basic beach actually you can go to the island over here it gets beetles captain sails he's back to sailing his boat Gulliver what the heck you drunk we're gonna leave him there let him sleep off that hangover all right so that's the beach that's kind of all the major areas of fortree the great city of Thor tree and show off Main Street will go Mabel's sister see if they have any cool clothing cuz I always check that hello I say yeah here we got another Packers Jersey flag little bear plaid shirt then over here as we saw in city folk this maple sister LaBelle she worked with Gracie so now she sells higher-end accessories no such together it's kind of like posh interior I'm glad all these games are like on a timeline there's an animal crossing cannon all right and the biggest appeal of Main Street besides housing all the necessary shops in the game is the for what it's called something plasma HH showcases and nevermind basically your street pass people you get download like a save file of their house I guess he's a people that Streep asked hello friends maybe but I want to show you what house a very special house that's saved here and it is I gotta get back to playing Animal Crossing new leaf on my house the great Reggie feyza may see he me and him have it I guess have the same design philosophy we all just bro are Mario themed items in one big room and call it a place I hope I hope Reggie actually design this house that make you feel great aha the Reggie bed yes look at that that is the Reggie bed look at that beauty not for sale no one could ever dare to own this beautiful kind of bed Thank You Digby and we're on to the last part of the tour because I forgot to give a house tour like a fool so I guess we'll just end it with the house tour hi I'm so upset that this house is here Rosie I dislike you already so the great house of Mayor Brown ear for tree here we have kind of like a museum to my achievements of course piggy bank the made many degrees and doctorates my trophies I apparently could only get a silver bug trophy but don't pay attention to that would get my good boy wisp he's hanging out because I don't have an amiibo well I I do have a me bow but I don't have an FC reader for my 3ds because I have an old 3ds we'll start with this top room which is awfully similar to a wild world it's my my money room shark in the middle there here some portraits of course we have the basement which the basement like city folk is kind of the arcade Mario room mishmash it's less of an arcade in this one it's literally just my Mario junk thrown everywhere like a sushi conveyor belt who doesn't like that here we have like the media studio place right because I'm such because I'm you know I'm a famous youtuber usually I get the news reporter the city you know background the globe there obviously that's breaking news here's the talk show set sit over here the guests hi everyone has a great time as a microphone their camera set up and last but certainly not least we have my room it's it doesn't necessarily have a theme it's just kind of like my bedroom area just things I like one space we have the nice we have the package Jersey hanging up of course always gonna have some Packers reference in every single animal crossing game got a TV with my GameCube love that get the helix fossile from twitch plays pokemon yellow felt like it's cooler than that nother GameCube can tough gang cubes got my hamster from my first and Macross in game of course so yeah that's for tree I like this town a lot I think it's got some charm well that's that's the end of our journey made it all the way back to the latest installment with new leaf 2013 and thanks for
