hey everyone welcome back to another episode of our slash entitled parents in today's episode karen refuses to wear a mask in the hospital after that i have 10 000 followers on tic toc i'm famous my spoiled sister who refuses to get a job finally revenge on my entitled monitor water park before we get into today's episode remember to subscribe so you never miss another of our videos karen refuses to wear a mask in the hospital i work reception in a hospital most of the time in the er part of my job aside from checking in incoming patients is to keep an eye on the lobby and handle any problems that come up people's condition worsening while they wait inappropriate conduct etc i'm sure you can imagine that given recent events this part of my job mainly consists of reminding people to wear their masks i should also mention that mandatory masking is a hospital-wide policy though it should go without saying all patients visitors and employees must be masked at all times on the premises anyone who doesn't want to wear one is asked to wait outside very simple asking very little last week near the end of my shift i saw a group of three women sitting in the far corner of the er lobby none of whom were wearing masks two of them had masks we don't let anyone into the building without one the problem is when people take them off once they've passed through reception but were wearing them under their chins the third woman the karen of the story didn't have one at all making me think she must have snuck past reception while we were busy doing my job i approached them to request that they wear their masks the conversation went as follows paraphrased because this happened a week ago me hi there i'm going to have to ask all three of you to wear your masks while you're in the lobby it's our hospital policy that we have everyone wear one the other two women just said shaw and pulled their masks up karen on the other hand was not having it karen i don't wear masks i won't be wearing one me trying to give her the benefit of the doubt and assuming she has a reason for this oh is it a medical condition we karen i have a face shield and that has been acceptable at many other places i should also mention for clarity that face shields don't provide nearly the same amount of protection for yourself or others as a cloth or paper mask a sheet of plastic several inches away from your face does nothing to stop airborne droplets from spraying in every direction underneath and around it me you're welcome to wear a face shield with your mask but we can't accept them as a substitute for them if you have a documented medical condition as to why you can't wear a mask then karen i don't have a medical condition i just can't breathe in those things me okay so without a medical reason for not wearing one we can't let you wear only a face shield karen that's ridiculous i've been in many other places that allow face shields i'll go get my face shield from my car me like i just said the face shield isn't enough on its own unfortunately if you're not willing to wear a mask you're going to have to wait outside karen visibly outraged i'm not waiting outside that's ridiculous. i'll wear a face shield me we can't allow that time sorry she then went on a political tirade that i can't retype verbatim but i can hit all the main points she claimed that masks are making us sicker because you're breathing in all your own co2 she claimed that the masking orders for our county and the hospital were political messages as opposed to common sense safety measures she condescendingly told me she felt sorry for me having to wear them all day because you can't help that you've been lied to and don't know that they're making you sick she insisted that this was factual scientific information every time i said again that she can either wear the mask or wait outside finally i'd had enough of trying to reason with her me i understand you feel that way but if you won't wear a mask or step outside karen i'm not going outside i'm staying with my friends time not leaving and i'm not wearing a mask and you can just deal with it me if you don't want to wear a mask and won't wait outside i'm going to have to call security and they're going to ask you to leave she made a point of sitting down in her seat arms folded and staring indignantly like a petulant child i went back to the reception area and made a call to security i explained the situation to a security guard who came out to the lobby to speak with her i wasn't present for the conversation but they came back and told me she's refusing to leave and that we should go ahead and call the sheriff's department to have her escorted out i delayed the call for about 10 minutes to call the er charge nurse and the house resource supervisor in charge of the entire hospital to come talk to her first in the interest of finding another solution without escalating to calling police karen left while i was waiting for the supervisor to respond likely because she knew she was going to be walked out and wanted to pretend it was her idea before we continue 95 of you aren't subscribed so you all know what me get and keep a job at 15 or they threatened to kick me out while our parents spoil her and aren't pushing her to get a job they'll suggest places for her to work but never say get a job or get out like they did with me she's 21 had a job for two months walked out after deciding she didn't like it and has never worked again after that claiming trauma from her previous workplace as an excuse not to find a new job she went to college for one semester but quit after she realized the teachers other students weren't going to do her homework for her the moment anything involves effort on her part she quits she has zero work ethic.she's used to giving my parents puppy dog eyes and getting her way shocking when the rest of the world doesn't work like that last time we spoke i told her she should be looking for work even if it's part-time my mom tried to get her a job my mom's company needed temp checkers in their security gates part-time 20 hours a week 25 hour incredible opportunity for my sis all she had to do was apply and she would have been given the job but no sister i don't need to work my followers send me money they buy me gifts too me that's not a stable income what happens when you want to move out you'll need a steady job sister i have 10 000 followers on tick tock i'm famous my videos have almost 70 000 views me you need a lot more followers and views to be considered famous sister sure right like you know anything about tick tock me i may not use tick tock but i know how being an influencer works you need millions of followers sister whatever this is just to hold me down until the big stuff happens me what big stuff sister you know how it goes tik tok is where agents discover talent i'll be seen and i'll be found an agent will get me a big job on camera and i'll be really famous i'll make so much that i won't have to work so shut up and stop bugging me about getting a job me you do realize acting isn't an easy job the days are long longer than the typical eight hour work day there's makeup and costumes and doing scenes a million times until the director thinks you got it i have a lot of theater experience i know it's not hollywood but acting is a tough job no matter where you're doing it sister just shut up she stormed off into her room and started crying her typical behavior when someone won't tell her what she wants to hear my dad and i got into an argument later about it he says it's not right of me to crush her dreams i'm not crushing anything i'm being honest with her her followers have sent her a grand total of 384 dollars since she started her tick tock a year ago two followers sent her presents for her b day after she posted a vid begging for gifts i saw the vid she claims that her family neglects her and forgets her b day every year she's not famous she's not making anywhere near enough to claim she doesn't need to work her chances of getting discovered are nearly zero she needs to get her head out of her own ass and take a realistic look at the world but she won't because my parents coddle her and let her stay in her fantasy as my pair revenge on my entitled mama to water park so first just to make things clear i want to tell you that my mother isn't always like this some days she just goes crazy and can be a little inconsiderate sadly this was one of those days my family went to a water park for a vacation we were all having a great time we got hungry and decided to have lunch i eat fast so i finished first so i decided to go to the pool and told my mom to meet me there she said okay and i was on my way i hadn't eaten lunch that much faster and my mom and sisters were almost done so i expected them to meet me at the pool in no more than five minutes ten minutes later i was pissed because they hadn't showed up yet how long does it take you to eat your last french fry thirty minutes later i had had enough i got out of the pool and back to where we were having lunch they weren't there i turned around to find my mom had just gone down a waterslide she then saw me and smiled as if she hasn't just wanted my time i was just angry after that a few minutes later i said aren't you going to say sorry and the following conversation went like this mom for what me telling me you meet me at the pool and then ditching me and wasting my time mom in the most whiny tone but we went on a ride me you told me you'd meet me there mom and we were gonna after the ride at this point i didn't feel like arguing with this lunatic so i just let it be but in my mind i hatched a plan my mom wanted to go to the pool and then to her favorite waterslide so i said okay kyle be right there let me just get my flip-flops i then proceeded to go to a water slide the best part was i could see my mom at the bottom wondering where the heck i am after i got off the slide the wait was about 20 minutes i went to my mom who immediately started screaming at me i have emotional issues so normally i would just cry when my mom screamed at me but i sucked it up and just put on the most i'm tired of this sh t face i could and calmly told her you waste my time i waste yours but she didn't punish me because she knows she was being a hypocrite and i think she understood that what i did was fair because later she was back to the nice mom she usually is if you made it to the end of the video thanks for watching remember
