renovating the scary get to work lots!

i've put up my christmas tree anyway hi everyone i'm so excited isn't it fun doesn't it look cute on camera it does it looks cute on camera anyway i'm very pleased so oh god it's not a real tree look besties i live in florida no it's not a real tree but i think it looks really cute on camera so i still have i want to like add a couple things to her but i didn't have time so anyway it's up we're ready it's happening so pebbles thank you for the 12 months little ticket with the bid sophia with the 12 months thanks everybody um i did i posted on tick tock a um i made a uh time lapse putting it up i put it on tick tock not that you care you might not care at all but i was just messing around i thought i haven't posted a tick tock in a while what ideas do i have here you know what can i do that so i did that i don't know brindleton hello abby thank you all for the subs so today um i was thinking i want to renovate i think i want to renovate the toy store paddy wax emporium um in the get to work world the magnolia promenade space because i like i don't think i've ever renovated this lot i've bulldozed it loads of times but i don't think i've actually ever renovated it and i kind of like the idea of it i came here with my sims in my video today because my sims boyfriend asked on a date here um and i was like yeah i'll go to paddy wax emporium and you know what the idea a toy store is kind of a fun idea isn't it like we could we could make this cool i i don't know i was talking my video too about how these are all kind of boring like all these shops are kind of boring i never come here never so if we try to make them more interesting that could be fun a lot of times in this area i'll put like a restaurant and a bar you know like i kind of make it into a more functional area but we can make some interesting like community lots i've also renovated this one in the past to be like a wedding store um the only nice function i see out of a clothing store in the sims is having a wedding store right like i like the idea and i've done it before of like changing these to have wedding dresses and like bridesmaid dresses and suits and like all you know useful things that you could bring your sims to um try on uh you know things forget the kids like fancy clothes i feel like that kind of thing is actually like a functional gameplay thing that i could see myself doing um but otherwise i don't really because i've done it before i used to do it all the time i've done in a while though but like otherwise i don't really see any use for the the shops in this area you know um they're fun to run i guess but otherwise father fold with the 20 months uh dakota h and chelsea and miss whitehead and haley and aubs and peanut and lauren and tragic fruit and sgb and emily and angel and mistress megan basic mary lady and letty and alicia oh no um reynolds and babe abby thank you all for the substance of everybody i appreciate that um now the question is should we which one should we do first um the question is which one do we do first also yes neighborhood stories the the first story progression update comes out tomorrow which will be fun we're gonna play with the pods family tomorrow um so that we can like mess with it a little bit more um anyway we'll see it'll be fun i look forward to it um but i'm very excited it's your birthday today it's your birthday too oh it's my brother's 18th birthday um so happy birthday to both of you let me sing you a song [Music] oh my god do you know what's so funny so um i texted brett earlier and i was also he's gonna get the gift in a couple hours from my mom probably but um he asked for air pods uh for christmas and i know full well that he's about to get given air pods in about three hours from my mom um but i he was like i don't know i really would like some air pods it was like oh it's an interesting idea but anyway happy birthday brett uh you'll get your airpods sooner than you think so two weeks ago um that i was gonna post over the weekend um yesterday because i've i've been like pre-recording you know for my uh for thanksgiving so i recorded the video like two weeks ago it's been ready to post for like two weeks and i keep pushing it because like oh you know i was supposed to legacy on mondays and oh yesterday i wanted to post a thing about the live stream and i've got a sponsored video in a couple days so i can't you know i keep pushing it well now the video is old and like the christmas tree's up and the video like it doesn't have a tree in it so the tree is gonna be up tomorrow and then down on thursday for the new anyway it's not a big deal it's fine but it's like when i've pre-recorded um and then give myself a haircut and so like i've got a couple videos from pre haircut and then i cut my hair and then i sort of stagger them because you know things happen like oh there's an update or oh the pack came out so i recorded a video about the pack and then anyway just add in a clip art treat yeah sure just stick it on the screen being authentic phyllo olive teriel sadie snapping turtle simmer lisa ob cmj emmy elizabeth dancing queen cara isabella funky evil oh my goodness emily kelsey mally thank you for the subs everybody um batu build oh my god i'm so i'm gonna make a video i'm going to do it this week i don't want to tell you what day because well then it won't be safe but this week um dan and i are going to go to hollywood studios and i'm going to vlog um in the star wars land i'm well i'm going to make a a intro video of the star wars stuff and the sims and then because it's the same the sims one is the same as the disney one i've never seen it um so we're gonna go but i can't tell you what day because well i don't want you to know where i am i don't want you to know where i am in real life can't be doxing myself um but people have like people love it right like i think it's super good so um i don't know i don't really care about star wars but i'm sure it's fun also somebody asked will there be christmas merch i want to treat myself i don't have um i don't have like christmas christmas merch uh like christmas themed but we did just drop some new merch on friday um so if you're looking lil simsyshop.com has some things it's not like holiday themed but it is out in time for the holidays does that make sense lil simsy's journey two but two exactly but i don't have like christmas merch but merch that came out before christmas get it first last year at rapunzel um princess lotus potato emily cluster black star token don't know i just we're gonna do both of them it's just a question of like which one are we gonna do first you know um so don't worry if if you voted in the wrong one it's fine um roman flight lily wax emporium um you know my my friends she's a bit weird she's a bit odd um on the outside i love the idea of the inside though because your sims can like actually buy this stuff so if they come here you could like buy these toys and you can you know so you can actually buy these things and then have them for your sims so i never use it i never come here but realistically it's actually kind of a fun idea like you could come here and buy your sims kid like a birthday gift or whatever i don't know um hey sneedle you're gonna do great i am so proud of you that is really really exciting um i am so so proud of you and emcee goddess mrs pew pew mx thanks chloe banana girl thank you all so much um yeah i never go to the retail stores so that's the plan for today um i feel like i should look up a couple images of toy stores just so we could get um a fun exterior vibe and we're gonna keep a lot of it the way it is um how about we just build toys r us make it a confectionary is more usable well so we're gonna have to build an empty lot so we could do like a bakery kind of thing over here i want to keep the toy store though because like i said i have my students come here in my video today well i didn't choose it my sims boyfriend asked him on a date here i get asked on a date to this place like all the time so we we need to fix it but we can do a bakery like on the empty one you know what i said i know what i meant to say at least no she is in like so many netflix movies right now it's ridiculous have you seen she's in like every netflix film is coming out right now i don't know what's going on but she's in all of them yeah this lot is a mess if you look at where all the rooms are it really is a disaster i might just delete it and start over because the rooms are just all over the place i might keep the the tile that they had um some of i've noticed this about a lot of ea builds and you may have noticed it too but very often the the rooms on their lots are like a mess just a giant mess i don't know why but it like it's like this situation where they just had like random room set up in places that made no sense amateurs honestly okay do you know what this is kind of ugly i wanna i don't wanna bulldoze it because i want to keep like a lot of the original vibes but it really is a it's a weird one it's a weird one no no i'm gonna make it work okay i i can do it let me get move objects on tiny potato arthurian um nigh and toast and fam and chadster and via and nutmeg and everybody thank you all for the subs and stuff okay part of me is thinking that we gotta we gotta flatten these bad boys out you know um and then maybe um oh god oh i think i may have gotten a little bit over my head here with this one um actually i'm gonna want those in the front bulldoze and then use a reference picture i mean we could do that this was an ea build yes milky you think i built this oh you think i built this how could you that is an insult molly no you didn't think i felt it i know it's fine i'm just kidding around with you um i've never seen this sign in my life i'm dead serious i've never seen this in my life that's a pretty good one i totally didn't what we're gonna do is we're gonna stop and we're gonna look at some reference pictures again because um i feel like if we had a a better vibe see i i feel like i know what they were going for um you know how look this place okay this helps you see this thing i feel like they were probably trying to get some of this vibe with like the the things going inward you know i i feel like that's kind of what they were doing christmas tree already do you see what i mean chat remember how i was like i can't put the tree up because people are gonna be me me me me me about it see december is in two days anyway the rule of thumb that people usually complain to me about is that it has to be after thanksgiving it's after thanksgiving anyway it's fine well there's gonna be loads of them it'll be december 24th and they'll be like christmas tree already people are so weird about it in twitch chat they've been doing this to me for years it's fine i'm used to it it's just kind of funny it's a little bit early i guess but i and not for me i i've had my christmas tree up downstairs for like three weeks i'm not gonna lie to you but you didn't see that so it didn't happen anyway um i think this is kind of what they're going for um but obviously like we can't really do this because it's a standalone building um which is not helpful because this kind of thing is so cute um and then there's always you know this option um this is definitely a choice that we could make this kind of thing is simple but it's probably gonna look ugly um anyway i think what i'm realizing here is that this building is gonna have to really change shapes a bunch of mini themed shops in one you know i like the idea of that for making like a super cool build but as far as like actual functional builds i am i don't know if i like doing more than one store on one lot you know um just because i feel like it's more useful when it's all the one building oh it's so hard to say all right how about we make this uh how do we make this we fill up an entire oops we fill up an entire block make the american girl doll store oh wait images no it's not it's not good this looks like a dollhouse doesn't it i don't want it to look like that i want it to be brick i don't know isn't that the point well you know um i suppose yeah i used to like going into the american girl doll store um but never buying anything because it was so expensive published 2015. not helpful well you're just a big glass building see it's so hard to find inspiration for exteriors that aren't gonna look stupid in the sims christmas kenzie uh jd say hello insulted and lexi and francesc francesca and farmers and maz and jackie and livy and golden and dawn and dizzy thank you all for the subs um nyc apple story oh my goodness wait let me see let me get the photo you want to talk about a big glass box the apple store is like underground and it yeah this is real i've been there it's literally a big glass box though like i wasn't messing around with you um but anyway then what is the box for well you got to have an a closed-in entrance so that you can you know climate control and protect the opening in the floor for the stairs from the snow yeah i think the apple store in loads of cities is a huge glass box i think this is a thing that they do dizzy christmas kenzie jd um ad thank you for the subs also happy 18th birthday banana girl i um we'll do the upstairs oh we will we will know what i'm just gonna wing it again it's fine we'll we'll get there in the end it'll all come together i'm not worried about it everything's fine um it's and this is always an option okay besties hear me out is um what we do is we make something [Music] better maybe it can be skinnier too go away we're gonna have to redo the whole interior oh this one's not gonna be a clothing store this is gonna be a toy store um let me change the title of the stream too so that it um renovating the get to work toy store so people don't get confused yeah we can add like an outdoor space exactly we can we can make this work um like a playground sort of area outside can the roof cover the door part um dude oh yeah we haven't done anything yet so we'll have to see um go away um i don't think i want to make it a christmas themed toy store i more just wanted to make a toy store um mostly because i want this to be a thing that you can play in year round i don't want it to be like um holiday specific and get you stuck and like what if you don't celebrate christmas you know we can do some christmas builds but this one this one i think i would like to be more um generic toy store than specifically a holiday toy store i think um does that make sense okay um no moxie don't no please don't backseat mod um when when they said when they said it's ugly make it smaller they were referencing a stream meme how we say when in doubt make it smaller as in like your build looks ugly just shrink it um it was a stream meme but besties i mean this in the nicest way possible please if you see something in chat even if they're being actually mean just ignore it and let my mods do it um because keep this in mind right someone could have like a relatively innocent comment that is totally not a big deal and then all of a sudden like 10 people yell at them for it that aren't even mods um it makes it into like a way bigger deal than it actually is i don't want anyone to feel like they're not welcome and i just um it's usually for the best if people just let the mods mod and then you just ignore people that are mean i know you mean well but um just keep that in mind so no one feels targeted or anything um does that make sense um okay i'm not sure how i want to do this um i feel like i want this to be smaller even this is getting ridiculous but it's okay tiny tiny and small tiny and small it's it's sort of a similar vibe to the original right we'll be getting a speed build maybe we'll see if it's ugly or not if it's ugly then probably not but if it's nice then yeah um even smaller this is a disaster this is like actually a disaster maybe if it was oh god i don't know what i wanted to look like uh yeah i think i'll make it get to work in base game only i only have get to work in the base game installed so um it is it is most likely going to be just get to work in the base game because that is currently all that i have installed so oops um on purpose so why do they have terrain tool paint look at look ea builds are a mess what is that oh yay very odd choice in my opinion but that's okay all right i might put it like a little bit more on the corner um no oh okay so speaking of odd choices i've been watching um yesterday dan and i watched a bunch of the new season of selling sunset selling sunset if you've never seen it is a terrible show so this is not me telling you to watch it um but if you want to feel free uh it's about like these rich real estate agents that sell really expensive houses in los angeles um it's it's great fun um but it's really bizarre they're like from another planet i'm telling you it's it's really something else um but we watched a bunch of the new season yesterday they're all just really mean like we i've seen i saw the last season too um or i saw both the last seasons i should say um and it literally is just like women being really mean to each other and i'm i'm absolutely not exaggerating that is genuinely the only thing that happens in that show it's just women being really really mean um so it's actually kind of stressful which is why i don't necessarily recommend that you watch it um but if you want to it's on netflix um yeah they sell houses they're real estate agents so they sell houses um and also are mean to each other um and the houses are really expensive so it's kind of fun because you can see the fancy houses in la i guess that's another perk um i don't know i literally cannot imagine um working at a place like that they hate each other i know it's also like played up for the tv show but i don't know they hate each other um it's really something else okay um anyway don't recommend but if you want to watch it it's on netflix um theresa may zoe uh queen sarah emily stardust jacqueline jake uh sharp and liz and trademarkly motorsport james c and gerard and grom and jordy thank you all for the steps too um okay my taste in tv is the opposite of what you'd expect what do you mean i am i'll admit it i like to watch bad reality shows um i really do have a good time watching bad reality tv it's because um it's it's easy to watch like nothing of importance happens and like nothing really that bad happens either um so it's really easy to watch which is what i need but anyway i don't watch that much reality tv but sometimes i'll watch a netflix one when it comes out you know um what kind of reality show would i want to be on oh good god you could not pay me any amount of money to be on a reality show i don't think i i think i mean that as well i don't i don't think i'm cut out for that like i think it would be really not good for me to be on a reality show okay um this could be interesting right should i make it shorter wall height you know the medium height is fine um 90 day fiance well there may be no the 9 day fiance has like a cult following of mean people like there's like 90 day snark subreddits um and uh it's just people like go on and like make fun of the people on 90 day fiance um which you know it's a reality show so it happens but like i don't want to be on anything that has snark subreddits i don't want to be on that at all muffin dan and lauren and sam and aj thank you yuki and outlaw with all the subs and everybody thank you so much yeah there's a snark subreddit for the duggars too i know um okay i think they had like brown windows before um i don't know i might do the big ones this may be interesting or it may be horrible we could also do like smaller windows i mean it really depends i don't know how we want to do this hey taz with the 13 months welcome in it's good to see you are the duggars still on tv no i'm pretty sure that the duggars got cancelled right um i don't actually i don't follow them so i don't know what they're up to but i think that their show was cancelled um the show with some of the kids oh maybe i knew that yeah i think i may have known that um uh how do we want to do this because maybe it would be fun to have it be wider it could always be asymmetrical i know we've gone for like a very symmetrical look so far but size them up isn't that a bit large if there was an in between size maybe but no i don't like that i think it was better before shoot um i don't even know if i want to put a second floor on this that's another problem above the windows looks good but you're not sure not sure about above the door oh well that was the whole thing my whole vision was above the door so that oh i hate this build oh no boo thank you for three months by the way and sarah and muffin thank you for the subs um okay okay i don't know um i mean here's the thing there's also like those get to work windows that we could we could switch it to be shorter and like possibly a little bit more um what go shorter a little bit more formal i mean these windows are like super short but we could always switch it for like a very different sort of vibe and maybe this would be good i don't know um these could be size down shortly why does it have to clip this is not a wedding dress store no this is gonna be the toy store um it was already the toy store renovating it this is a different vibe oh no why why does it have to be such an odd size i i'm asking this question honestly because they they made the windows and then they made awnings that don't fit the windows like why why did they do that it really um i'm really struggling to understand that about this pack i always have struggled to understand that about this pack but i i anyway classic just exactly as expected um you think it looks okay sized up but you don't but you didn't like it you think this is better are you serious do i think get to work we'll get an update i don't know um i i think that it would be cool if they did i think that if they were gonna update any expansion pack get to work probably is the one that they would do um but uh i don't know i think my my top pick for if they're gonna update a pack i mentioned this before but my top pick if they're gonna update one more pack the next one i mean you know the next one that i want to see is luxury party not because i'm a fan of luxury party but because i think that luxury party is like genuinely objectively a terrible pack and it's a waste of money like the people that spent money on luxury party deserve their money back so if they're gonna update any pack i would like to see them update luxury party just because that one is like objectively the worst one like it's smaller than the kids you know it's it's really not good so um if they're gonna do any i'd like to see that one i think um but luxury party then dine out yeah dine out would be a a useful one too i think um i'd i'd be happy to see dine out get a pack refresh too i think dine out over outdoor retreat um i'd like to see get a pack refresh just because i find myself using dine out more um so it would be useful for me um do you think the chunkier trim looks better you like the white trim yeah well we have these black windows which is why i wasn't sure um but we can have like i could do this white i don't know um or do we want to replace it with this is more like formal traditional i have to think about it i'm kind of thinking now also about putting a um a second floor on um because they had one before this is weird no we haven't done the inside yet you can't do the inside till you finish the outside you know because i'm changing it too much um hey muni i am so so so so glad to hear that you're able to get the vaccine and move out i'm really really glad um i know that must been super stressful but um i think you're in a good place and i'm really proud of you um also alchemist uh and leah and aqueduct and soap and cindy and and jm and taylor and sarah thank you for all the subs ellie and wiki and haunted holly and britt and morris and panda and claire and katie and ineo thank you thank you everyone i'm sorry if i missed anything um what will i do upstairs well the original one had nothing upstairs um the original one was completely empty upstairs so um i'm not sure what we'll do upstairs we have like i guess the fun part is that we you know kind of have some room to experiment a little bit because they had nothing um i don't like that color brick i never have and i don't think i ever will unfortunately let's use the light red it's prettier it's your birthday cindy happy birthday also r and m cat and i'll commence thank you for the subs [Music] okay um yeah i think the brick helps tie it together now the question is do we want to make um the upstairs this is very similar to the original shape which is actually kind of good i feel like we've come full circle and we've gone back to sort of something similar to how it originally looked which kind of excites me um i feel like that's what i wanted it to be like so break room for the workers that's a fun idea too i'm i'm super into that oh this needs to be smaller oops oops we can put the bathrooms up there too or something i don't know it looks kind of like a starbucks this could also be the bathrooms down here oh they're kind of a weird shape um it does kind of look like a starbucks um that's okay it's okay it's a good thing um starbucks and toys see um leo shannon thank you for the subs both you too i don't know what to put on the change it to red i mean we could change the color ooh you want to change these to red i think i like the green the sign is in the middle the sign's not going gonna stay there don't yell at me i just had the sign so i didn't lose it the sign's not gonna stay i haven't done the upstairs yet no yelling at simsy shh okay um uh this is kind of ugly um that's actually horrible so i don't know what to do with it this is the problem the fact that oops i pressed the wrong button oh becca mewni jobs jordy thank you for the steps well the fact that we're trying to run here's the original lot by the way so we weren't we don't have a lot to work with um so let's just keep working on the downstairs and then we can worry about the upstairs later one step at a time everyone one step at a time you like the flat roof just you mean flat roof on the whole thing or flat roof um on the on the upstairs like that weird balcony part oh boy i might make this into a whole lot of nothingness um just for the sake of having the place be smaller i might change that though we'll see um i don't know looks like a restaurant well that's not a bad thing um yeah they have these roof pieces as balconies we don't i don't think that we really want it to be a balcony though um is the problem i think i think that's the issue i also don't want the upstairs to be i was thinking about doing like a because the downstairs is brick but then again do i even like that thing being up there um no okay so everyone uh i appreciate your suggestions for the interior of the upstairs what i'm worried about is this part um we're probably gonna put like a i don't know again the original upstairs was empty so that helps we kind of have some free reign with it um cover with trees there you go that's one way to go about it um let me see i was actually gonna put some trees over here quite small maybe i'll do it like that and i'll put a tree in the middle this is the problem i was looking at photos keep in mind things like this as reference photos which just isn't going to happen because this is the sims 4. um freud james caroline k thank you for the subs everybody but um i don't know what i want it to look like on the upstairs well we're gonna put windows no i know that i'm not gonna put windows i just don't know what windows i want to put and i don't think that the windows are gonna um help straight away um no we're gonna put no windows personally i think that no windows is a better option um you want to do the exact same shape to eliminate the balconies completely well we did that first um and i we liked the theory but then we thought it was too big but this this is what we did first with the with the upstairs what why why do you look like that um this was in fact the first initial concept do it like this flat roof then i went and said no do it like this with a a flat roof one story um and now we've kind of been around the block a little bit we've gone full circle we've come back to doing it like this um i don't know it's a whole thing we'll figure it out though um oops okay no toy store is two story what toy stores are you talking about the original one was two-story the one that we're renovating was two nightmare this is what this is what we get for trying to renovate an ea build because what they do is really and truly nightmarish like they they just you should have seen it originally i'm not even exaggerating like the original was a disaster the original was like there was all these random room pieces everywhere like they they did these things that just made no sense go back can i put it back all the way to like oh god no um let me try this again oh no oh boy they're gonna make me cry everyone remove ceiling build ceiling okay easier without the bump out well i like the bump out to make it look not just like a square ruby laura thank you for the subs ah okay these things are always very difficult for me to do on stream as well you may have noticed this about me but i find them very difficult to do on stream early on because everyone has different opinions of how it should look and i ah but then once we get through it it becomes easier it's just one of those where you kind of have to um get it looks like a turtle look there's its head and it's got arms and legs uh that's kind of fun actually i kind of like it um it looks like a turtle okay um is it possible to force the freeze to go on this wall height i know it doesn't want to um but um no i think that you can i've done it before there you go you have to place it somewhere else first and then you can use it on the rest of them see you have to place it wall by wall though magic this needs to be a youtube short let me put it on my list um freezes on short walls uh but there that looks way better still kind of giving me starbucks but that's okay um name suggestions for a 10 week old kitten that's white and gray oh my god um peter is my final answer ruby maria max thank you for the subs lolly oh cute anyway pete is the answer i've chosen i don't know why um okay we're going to want to put some windows up there but i don't know what and they have to be small and then they also keep in mind are gonna be um challenge done no i posted a video playing with it today my bell legacy series is not done like i said i just posted a video on it today um if you mean the one that we play on twitch no we're gonna play it tomorrow neither is done neither is done um i like the sign the neon one better i feel like it's more um i don't know it's it's more exciting you know and i like that we've got um like entrances on like three sides i feel like it's kind of cool um this is a okay i feel like we finally got there we definitely spent some time trying to figure this one out but i i think that we got there in the end it took us a minute to get there i'm gonna switch it to this sign this is so cute um but once we got there we were there you know um the neon makes it look less like a starbucks okay perfect ferret oh i'm scrunchy thank you all for the steps and bits too um and then the inside oh god okay i think something that i kind of want to do is try and scoot the lot a little bit so that there is more space for putting trees on the outside um and i'm not sure how exactly i want to do this yet and i also must admit that um i still have not decided if i want to use this or the half wall but let me try it out and i'll figure it out yeah the green awnings are definitely the thing that's making it feel like starbucks but it had the green awnings before so i feel like keeping it should be um oops go away um and there can be like some seating in the back i don't know um you have whiskey nova and pete oh those are actually kind of fun i like how they're the pete kind of kind of is the outlier and it's kind of amusing you know i can't believe i i just named a cat pete i'm i'm very pleased very pleased okay i might make it stucco instead of a i'm sorry that i named your cat pete it does not look like a starby's okay well good good pete is cute i like it um i think they have loads of palm trees around here but they also have um loads of these i think it needs more color well we could do a color um [Music] sorry i never use this item i should use that more you like the white reminds you of sims 3 buildings it kind of does give off a little bit of sims 3. um and i mean that in a good way even if it doesn't sound like i do super light blue would a super light blue look weird though i kind of like the dark green now i want to pick it but the green awning looks weird if the awning was a different color that's horrible the awning can't really be a different color oh no well is this toy store does it still look like a toy store it's the yellow too like oh this is a very different vibe than we initially had i think it looks like a toy store it does look a bit like a cafe i think i think that is another problem it very much looks like a cafe and not a toy store i think that's why we're all thinking it's it's starbucks i think it maybe it needs to be brighter on the top half but then like i really liked the green pastel brick you want to do it a pastel brick i wasn't gonna do a painted i mean we could always do a painted brick and then we could keep it with our green awnings i mean that is also an option i need to figure out what i think is best someone just said no period oh good god oh no this is this is the thing everyone it's so much more useful when when the feedback you give is constructive it's it's so much more helpful when when when there's context to your um criticism i kind of i think the white brick actually is kind of cute i think the white brick kind of works and we'll put some flowers i don't know well maybe is there any other neon signs that might be like perhaps better that looks like an ice cream shop we can do that but maybe not for this well see what are you going to do put alcohol on it no now this doesn't get this not that's not right how about just money cash app sorry um that made me laugh i don't know sign options are not good we always need more signs in this game coffee starbucks this is what they had originally um but that one i don't want to use because i feel like it's it's not i want it to be more you know central or whatever i swear to you i've never seen this in my life i've never seen this in my life what is this i'm not in debug is that new because i i know about this one i feel like i've never seen this before maybe it has been around for a long time we just never use it because it's so big that is also possible i mean like it still is throwing me off though we got grandma's cookies decal i mean we could use this as the sign or like oh wait that's kind of fun wait that kind of has more kid like energy to it that kind of works and that's the right size like i want it to be okay that's kind of cute junobo ashley amber awkward vegan lauren uh cat and forgotten companion and scott thank you all for the subs everybody um okay that really works i think now here okay this is a fun idea that i had and i want to do it again um this is the retail counter right but what i was sort of envisioning i'm gonna have to rebuy like all this stuff it's fine what i was sort of envisioning was like the counter is sort of big right um and it goes round and then the workers would be in there you know and then there's like toys everywhere else and we'll i don't know if i mean we could always make it like smaller but oh wait that's annoying we can't we have all the new swatches of the counter but we don't have any new swatches of the uh oh my god what this because it's like different the get to work stuff is different oh my god i always forget this thing exists too because it's like not catalog or class right or whatever it's in the surfaces section this one's a retail counter maybe i'll use this one instead yeah that's the thing why why even bother to make this the same style as the other with toys on them um so i think we could do it like this and have like an interesting um but you see how they had shells with toys i want to have wall space so we can do that too um we'll put a door into it so that your your um it's accessible that way we could put like some cool built-ins there i don't know um no the counters don't match these we can put like the regular counters um but they're not the same height unfortunately we've learned see it's quite terrible are we putting anything upstairs we don't know um there isn't upstairs the original building didn't have anything upstairs uh and the windows are super low because of the freezes um they look good from the outside but from the inside the windows are super low um so i was kind of thinking about putting upstairs instead a like um a fake like or not a fake just a a bathroom like put the bathroom upstairs um and then only the bathroom basically so that you could access the bathroom but it wouldn't be too in the way um we'll have to get us a door into this room too but this could be if we did it here this could be like totally fine we could literally just have like it open like that and then a couple of bathrooms um i don't know can add a staff room yeah people keep saying that but i here's here's my my concern with the staff room i i'm concerned about the functionality of a sims build right where like you don't actually need a staff room when you visit this place um and is it gonna cause it to be glitchy i don't know yeah i could block the windows with curtains that's true um the pet pic channel is locked for you oh muni so that's because you have to type more on the discord to unlock all the photo channels no one can send pictures like the second they join the server you just haven't typed enough um my mods can't open it for you if you give them your discord name um they can give you the sims kit roll so that you can do it um that's just because no one can send photos anywhere in the server until um they have uh like level three in the discord so that nobody um so that nobody will spam bad things no one can be trusted uh caitlyn thank you for the subs too and rick thank you so much um make a staff room for aesthetics but then lock the door there you go that's one way to do it um no see i don't think i want this to be closed off in the middle um i think i might do it like how we were going to do it before with the two because i feel like if we did it like this um it's functional it makes sense there's something in the middle it's not like ruined i don't know i think it can work i liked it with three as well but um i was worried that it would be too much because keep in mind it's like taking up the entire interior of the store now if there's three and that's a little bit ridiculous we could put like a pillar sorry um but we could do it like we can do it like that that could work weird what you walk into from this door but um give the employee a chair they need justice well um i would but because of how it functions there's gonna be an employee standing there like there's gonna be an actual cashier stood there and so i don't want to block it because i'm worried that it would break in the game um do you know what i mean it's your birthday beth happy birthday um cheesy whiskey razz jesse v-dog thank you for the subs too it's also my brother's birthday [Music] i mean this might not even be a bad place for the stairs but i don't know if it's really weird because they like perfectly align maybe that's cool though and that takes you upstairs to the to the bathrooms hmm like no lights put curtains in front of the windows just so that it um i think that might look nice from the outside at least in these closed off rooms it's an empty nothing room no that looks terrible from the outside we used to do smaller ones try again um i guess we could raise the platform to like totally fill it in but then the looks scary also high fun it's scary we can't um maybe we could just do blinds the blinds look cooler from the outside i think the blinds are pretty cool because you can still see through them a little bit from the outside but then it um makes the space look more interesting i like how the blinds look that's pretty cool okay and then we'll leave this one open because there's gonna be actually rooms in here that you can access on this side um okay okay i was thinking about putting a couple windows on this part but maybe not yeah community lots are tricky it's hard to figure out what you want to do um we can just leave that then we can have some stuff in there like toy store stuff that we're selling see okay i do want to have some exposed brick i think um to match the outside i think that would be super nice especially on a thing like that like it just makes sense here maybe we could put the store sign some vines on the outside brick i'd love to but we are playing with just the um with just the base game and get to work installed uh so we don't really have any like good vine options um which sucks but alas it's not really something that we've got access to no i used to make my students live in the shop that they own too like if i was playing in this place i would make an apartment up here and then have my sims live here if i was going to run it so armond shoopy 13 week traveler enemy joe m steph thank you all for the subs and stuff no fine but what about tick tock okay you know what speaking of tick tock um i posted a tick tock today i decorated my christmas tree um but anyway i used to um make my like stores into also apartments all the time um okay we're gonna do like i posted the tick tock of me decorating my tree because i was like hmm i haven't posted a tick tock in a while let me think of something to post and then i was gonna decorate my tree so i time lapsed it took me all of like two seconds um so big fun stuff all right i wanna do two different colored bathrooms i think that could be cute does this also come in green yeah see this is the kind of stuff i want to do yeah i like it in the background too i i just i like the um the vibes of the lights brooklyn thank you for the 17 months um all right is it possible what to have an apartment above the um the thing not technically so you you can have your sims like stay here like if you put a door um and then a bedroom and a bathroom in a kitchen or whatever your sims can live and function in it um it's still gonna send their bills to their home lot and like when their kids get home from school the kids are still gonna go to the home lot and stuff like that um so you kind of have to like pretend that this place is your house um if you wanted to do that but you can technically and it's helpful if your sims are trying to run it because you have to be here like all the time if you're gonna run it so it kind of works out in that sense um because you're around a lot so you can like take care of it better but um so it won't actually function like an apartment but you can pretend like you can just stay here and never leave you know you think pink bathroom does this come in i mean we could i was kind of trying to avoid doing like the blue and pink because i don't want people to think that it was like a his and hers bathroom his and hers i'm i guess you wouldn't call it a his and hers bathroom instead of a store but i didn't want people to think that it was like a boys and girls bathroom because it's not i just the pink is a fun color though i i don't know um and it doesn't matter it's all we did i don't know do you like the pink and the blue we could always do pink and green instead no colors don't have genders we know that but does everyone else know that i don't want them to get the wrong idea i think the green we could do green we could do the green and the pink that could work that's kind of fun i kind of like it okay i think i want to switch it so that the sink is further down okay yeah i like this i like how bright it is it's kind of fun it's simple but it's cute okay there's like some cute get to work like bathroom stuff um well i guess bathroom stuff is a strong word but there is some cute like decorative items like there's these paper towels we could put the paper towels sometimes i like to put this and pretend it's like a soap dispenser dan just screamed no again i hope his game's going okay sounds like he might be dying um oh we can we can do this it could be cute i don't know it's simple but cosmo and wanda yeah it's we got the cosmo and wanda bathrooms going on here there you go well maybe i'll put this by the door well that works yeah i think this is a hand sanitizer dispenser but i like to pretend it's a soap dispenser because it makes sense in a public bathroom you know okay the i i think it's hand sanitizer because there's the hospital a lot um so i'm pretty that comes to get to work obviously so i'm pretty sure that that's what it's for but we could be wrong i don't know um all right what kind of fun walls can we get you can't say instagram you can you just did i don't know you just said it or should we do like the colorful stripes or all the colorful stripes is kind of fun um i kind of like that and then maybe if like the rest of the walls were all uh a sort of matching i want a pretty blue that kind of matches or we could do them in like segments wait so like that one could be blue this one could be pink or maybe i should do it with segments based off of the wait hang on i'm getting there i'll figure it out but if we did them in like little segments we could have a few different color themes and that could be fun oh that was in the wrong spot um i don't know i feel like this kind of has some good vibes to it i kind of i kind of like it okay green and then perhaps yellow okay okay and then oh they sell it's a toy store so toys um they're gonna have loads of toys for sale um i could use orange clothes from the sign that's true we could use orange instead because then it would match that better well there's not really a i kind of like it i think that's cute yeah we'll have them sell blurfy we'll put loads of things i like it i like the corally color it's nice um dior gatsby elizabeth oh gee moontastic thank you for the subs um okay should we do like more brick we can oh we can always do like the painted white brick instead because i think i'm going to put some wall shelves on this part so we can do the painted white break by the doors as well you want a darker blue i mean oh god we're never going to be able to end this we could go for more vibrant colors that is that is definitely an option um put a bathroom sign by the stairs maybe um no no um there's like a wall decal i know that but i don't want to put like these people i don't want people to think that it's we could do that that kind of gives the the vibe i kind of like it okay okay so i think i'm gonna make this be maybe i'll do it like that yeah that could work scoot them a tiny bit out i don't want to do the boats there um i don't know how i want to do this put this here as a spot for some toys a sign for some toys wall got painted outside oh all right this can work now we just got to start putting some toys um we can also like line up some blurfies for sale like it's kind of fun we get we get lots of um options you know scoot blurfy army we can get like all three different colors of blurfy yeah they're actually put up for sale this will be a functional toy store it will be a functional toy store with the get to work stuff um we're not just playing this isn't pretend it's it's gonna be a fully functional real toy store once we're done with it um using this stuff from get to work so um that will be super fun i think um maybe i'll put that like there we can get some of the dino ones too maybe we swap it so that i don't know i kind of want to use like i guess we could have just one of each kind instead that's always an option too you can come buy blurfy you can special order a different color yeah oh my goodness this wait i don't want to use the the green i want it to okay maybe like scoot them over a little bit more shrink some so it looks more uncluttered okay so again this is a functional toy store um using the get to work uh shop feature so i don't want to like shrink them i i'm very much okay with with them um looking cluttered because keep in mind this is a real toy store like you're you can actually bring your sims here and like actually buy these things um so we're trying to make it function still you know um yeah i can put the rabbit in the corner i mean i can do this differently i just i wanted the thingy to be lined up with the um barf looks good size down it works fine i don't care i'm trying to let you down easy besties i don't know how to tell you this more i didn't want to size it down i was trying to make an excuse and then everybody tries to correct me but i still don't want to size them down because i want it to be functional um also keep in mind that you can't play with the toys here because they're gonna be for sale so your sims can't play with it they're gonna click on it and then buy it the only option is to buy so they can't play with it um that would be fun but that's not how it works um with the get to work stuff so unfortunately um it's gonna be different also i'm worried because it if it size down it's gonna get restocked by staff members right and i don't know what's gonna happen if it size down like how they would restock it does that make sense um i i worry that it wouldn't like work properly if the staff had to restock it and it was sized down um oh if we had like doll houses for sale that would be so cool why do they have to be so big but wouldn't it be cool if you could come here and buy a dollhouse oh man i really like that idea yeah we need like a small why don't we have a smaller dollhouse isn't that ridiculous that we don't these things are like fully life-sized um i'm okay with them taking up a lot of space though it's like a childhood dream right here extend the building one block i could just a little bit more space i guess if we did it like this you could probably get like two of them if we scooted them out from the wall a tiny bit i love the idea of bringing your sims kids here and having them like have the option to look at all the doll houses and pick one out to bring home i just think that's so fun i i love the the idea of that okay um yeah i oh hey snap what's up i usually size down the dollhouse too in my actual gameplay but like i said i don't want to size them down in the shops because i'm i'm worried that if we size it down in the shops it's going to mess up when the people have to restock it um can i help you snappy are you upset that you can't go into dan's room dan's office is fully closed and i believe that she is currently upset that she can't get in there you know how cats are when there's a door that's actually closed they're like well now i want in it even just to see what's in it i want in it they don't like the doors being closed she's experiencing that right now poor cat so sad um okay this is actually kind of cute can i like stack up some superheroes why do they slot like that can someone please explain to me how that slotting makes sense honestly i'm i'm begging you to explain that to me hey snap you want to come up come here i know you're all by yourself because dan won't let you into your room come here no you want up just tell me when just tell me when okay i think if we where you move it and then like put it back and then you know i'm not sure if it'll function properly i think we probably should like for real let it slot how it wants to slot instead of um trying to do too much custom slotting at least with with these just because i'm i'm worried about it um not working properly do you know what i mean um but you can't buy them if they're all placed there you go so that's the answer you can't buy them if they're all placed so we can't all place them oh my gosh wait this is actually super cute look hear me out this is gonna be a wall of dolls for you because it's the dollhouse section so if we make like a little wall of dolls then you can come here and you can like um you can buy like any of the oh wait that's so fun okay so we can just load up on these little guys everywhere okay i actually don't like the yellow ones i might just alternate between pink and blue i think this is really fun i'm really excited about this do these come in different colors oh my god oh i love it it's so cute okay you get some custom cars those are all the same color i mean it might be okay if we sold like all the same color of a few things you know okay kitten siren trish becca missy thank you all for the subs um okay you need to face the front little guy and then keep in mind you can actually buy these so you could bring your sim here and like you'll be able to buy one of these little toys um which is just gonna be so cute like you can like have them come here and then and then pick one out and bring it home like i just i think that's the best i'm so excited okay um oh there's loads of ducks i think i'm horses wow robots oh i just noticed that there's a boy version of this action figure okay maybe i'll swap this or we could only have the girl version because who needs men the only superheroes i know are women so lava lamps are from um lava lamps came with uh the word i'm looking for for lava lamps lava lamps came with strangerville um no this is actually probably for the best because this way they'll be like um all the different colors that way there's there's two um like they're next to each other so i'm trying to say god um i like that there's all the i like the different swatches i think this kind of works out i like this this is really good i think i'm so excited it's so cute i love that there's a whole doll section and you can buy all the dolls over there okay i don't need to keep this anymore um we got this little transportation section you know with the plane the helicopter and the horse we can put that next to the counter maybe i feel like that kind of makes sense or maybe not i don't know what's stan screaming about oh he's he's playing dead by daylight so i assume he when you hear him scream he probably like mean i didn't think it was too busy with the wallpaper i thought it was cool but we could always like swap it out i don't know um i kind of liked it on the colored wallpaper i thought it was fun but we could also do it like that i don't know um oh maybe i should make the shelves like a wood color to match the floors and the other shelves in the building oh wait i kind of like how that looks and then we actually have more of the colorful wallpaper i don't know okay where did my cat go oh she's underneath the couch i was gonna say is she like trying to get in the tree she never does but i um you never know you gotta make sure you can stop her before she does just in case she's actively trying to be in the tree i'd like to make sure i'm aware um hmm something that i would have liked to do is have like two of these guys together like that perhaps i don't think that is that unrealistic you know what other display tables do we have there's like the bigger ones there's the small ones there's those there's the little pedestals there's the square ones maybe we could do two square ones together oh you can like line them up oh so you can make like a long skinny one if you wanted to you can't put the guitars on top and that's the thing i don't want to um i don't want to raise them up because then it doesn't work like because it's actually a shop like it's an actual functional shop i don't really want to raise them up because i want like to make sure your sims can still shop here and like buy stuff when they come um like that's important to me so we can do like a bunch of robots there i don't know let's get some funky things over here are going to be a lot of like decorative toys i think um like we have the the other sections that have um the real toys back there but then we can do some like decorative things around here maybe i could get some different kinds of gnomes that one looks scary i'm gonna like scare the kids off with it oh no maybe the bunny one could be good we could probably keep them weight if you put the bunny in between them no i don't think the gnome should be in this area there's so many like cutesy decorative things in this area i feel like we shouldn't oh my god i didn't put these guys oh well let's why does there have to be so many of them they don't really slot in the best way you know i'm so irritated by how the slots are on these i i genuinely cannot even begin to express to you how annoying i find the slotting of this like why why are they all crooked any suggestions anybody got an answer because i don't and why are they not evenly spaced what if we put these on this side and these on this why do they slot like that i am so [Music] so irritated oh what if you could buy some clay from over here oh my god wait clay future cube forget it i like they slot funny i think it's fun how they slot funny i like them when they're almost touching because they're in the wrong spots i don't know i like it and we is there anything else small that we can maybe i'll put some weird monsters up there why does he slot like that i know i guess it is kind of realistic but it's still so so exceptionally irritating you know like i don't care if it looks realistic i just want it to slot better um maybe those little pandas maybe just two on that one would be good okay okay a bunny oh i'll put this dinosaur somewhere a bunny how about a piggy bank oh my god no wait what if we did piggy banks instead of because they come in different colors so you could get like one of each you know sure anyway if you missed it um we're intentionally not sizing anything up or down when we're doing this because if you size it up and down it is no longer functional for the toy store aspect um which obviously because we're making a functional toy store like i would like it so that people can actually use it um so we want we want to make sure that everything is still working you know um maybe the steamboat is a good one do i still have one sitting somewhere no the boat could be fun or we could always use this boat maybe we could swap and put the bunnies over here in three different colors i don't like the yellow bunny ah the colored bunnies are scary get a dinosaur by the door hmm could put baby yoda that's true baby yoda would work um i think i might get another one of these kind of cars these are the exact layout they had originally in in their version i feel like that could be fun where did i find the dino um i don't know he was just in there in the like kids decoration section you know the giraffe is base game um amadeus geeky and lola becca thank you all for the service everybody again um dinosaurs base game too okay oh there's more space on that side because it's um wider maybe i'll put like another one of these in the corner no cars are not debug the base game has a bunch of so before we had debug cars we had these the toy cars um we've had these a a whole lot longer than we had the cars in debug um so these have been around for for a while longer um i didn't size anything down for these we used to size these up to pretend that we had real cars we would size these up um i don't like how you're slotting personally i find you offensive maybe we could put like the train pieces over here i guess i could have them lined up like that instead oh that's kind of fun we're playing the sims 2 soundtrack right now lay um this is cook with the 13 months lisa and morgan and sunflower thank you all for the subs and stuff too okay um anything fun and large that i can put as a decoration perhaps um maybe oh we can always swap this one out for a for the bus thingy too so it looks like there's more different kinds of cars we can put the weird alpaca thing like why is he there you know i kind of like it molly thank you for the nine months um okay maybe we could put a couple of the guitars lined up like over here do they come in a third color no uh and we can always get like the kids oh well doing days i'm currently building a toy store using get to work so it's like functional um or i guess i'm renovating the existing one but um we decided to make a toy store my sims visited the toy store uh today in a video because my believe it or not someone asked my sim on a date to the toy store um and so i came and i was like this actually has potential but it's kind of sad looking right now and so i thought it would be fun if we tried to renovate it so that it was more interesting hey sunshine i'm glad i can be a distraction for you i'm really glad to hear that um yeah it does sound like a good date though i mean it seems like it would be fun so i guess that's good they probably had a good time yeah we're gonna put the my students figures over here i'm gonna do the myself figures in this area i even have a sign for it see um that's my plan my sims figures in the corners i am doing an advent calendar this year on stream i am i for the past couple years i've bought some silly advent calendars um and i i got a good one this year i think you're gonna like it that's all i'm gonna say um i'm i'm pretty excited about it so it's really weird i saw it and i was like that yep that'll do um so that is the plan oh this actually looks okay because it looks like it's all one piece oh maybe i should swap the other ones out to be like that or at the very least swap a couple of them out to be like that um is it star wars no no i i'm gonna be honest i don't oh god never oh never mind um i don't think that you'll guess it you've pulled in front of kiana thank you all for the subs um yeah i don't i don't think that you'll be able to guess it um anyway it's not a simsy advent calendar it's a weird one it's a real weird one oh what did i just why did i do that i was trying to open type debug in the cheat panel um okay so i want to get under the decorations panel a bunch of the little my sims guys if they show up if they decide to show here we go um see won't this be fun i think so all on that side and then on this side maybe we could do like i guess we could just have him be on that wall sasha just found pietro are you kidding me deep breath deep breath i'm gonna be doing a calendar giveaway did you miss hear me i just have an advent calendar that i'm gonna be opening every day on stream throughout december um i don't there's not like a giveaway or anything like that i'm i'm so sorry um i you don't want the prizes that are in this advent calendar it's not exactly something that you would interest be interested in brie chris katie cardi baskin eve thank you all for the subs i feel like this is okay that kind of works um then what else you know well we could put like one we could do one of these little tiered guys again because that was kind of good before um yoda okay okay that'll work maybe uh oh they have to be really small to go on the other ones oh no i guess we could do some actual oh wait these are from debug too no how about a dragon and a little monster creepy guy put the my stims on those well i just i just closed it i want one of these maybe i'll get another hopper maybe we can put like some extras of the fun ones on these an extra hopper maybe an extra and uh maybe i'll do dr f as well oops here he is yeah extra fun ones in the middle okay i kind of like that it's kind of cute well then oh maybe the interior is pretty much done i guess if we wanted to get some more we have to do the upstairs too if we wanted to get some more like posters and whatnot we could do that how about a clown um the bathrooms are upstairs and there's a lot of empty space upstairs too the original build had a had a pretty much empty upstairs um so we kind of kept it a little bit similar to that um oh maybe i'll only put this over here that looks good over there rip baby yoda well he's dead yeah the original build had nothing upstairs didn't even have a staircase um i don't want to put baby yoda he's stupid um but anyway the original build had uh nothing upstairs we put the bathrooms upstairs and we've also left a lot of it kind of open the idea being kind of that like um a lot of the a lot of the upstairs like we don't want it to we don't want it to break the functionality of the build by putting too much upstairs basically um because i i worry that you're coming here to shop and then will will there be like sims because when you download it off the gallery will the door stay locked or like will the townies go and and try and use the the apartment that we put upstairs or whatever you know because i um i i don't know what the best thing to do is um but we have like this little sitting area so we can put some stuff up here like for that um i want to do something better maybe i'll use the hot pink no it's horrible maybe i'll use the blue that we use downstairs um and then toddler stuff upstairs well what do you mean when you say that because like the toddlers can use all the toys that we have downstairs you know um so when you say that like put the toddler stuff upstairs um ugly swatches of items and it could be like the bargain area oh this is the clearance section we could have like a little book section too um that could be cute because like obviously you know you'd probably come buy some books from here we could have a book section um the upstairs can be kids furniture that's an interesting idea some people said mannequins for like kids clothes too i don't know if i want to do that or not but that's not a bad idea either um maybe we could have like we could make these for sale too if we wanted to a couple of options for some fun art see that's always fun i think this could be a fun furniture segment i think we could put like some kids because there's like um you know like these chairs like you could come here and you could buy one of the little chairs um that kind of thing could be cute and then there could be like maybe you could buy oh like a toy box we could have a couple different toy box options for sale um maybe i'll put wait maybe i'll put a different bookshelf in between these art tables is a fun idea too we can always just do two chairs and we can have some art tables because we already put like the um downstairs we have some of the um violins or whatever so the art tables could be a fun a fun purchase you know science table oh my god how many things do you think i've got space for it's kind of small hmm what is the best thing to do here expanded upstairs a bit well i didn't i didn't really want it to be in the open area i kind of wanted it to be small i was kind of envisioning it being really small um so i don't really want to extend it that's kind of that defeats the purpose in my brain um because i sort of wanted it to be really small up here um it's a it's a fun idea but i don't really want it to be a big big upstairs um maybe this could be like hmm why don't those slot maybe you could buy some pencils wait that's kind of fun um does that slot no no maybe yeah but it's like the art section so you can buy some pencils um maybe you could buy well i can't very well make you buy toothbrushes now can i we could get some more kinds of pencils oh wait actually um do a little switcheroo so that those actually fit there um just all placement setup is not for sale i mean we could we could do that too um but i like the idea of there being a lot of stuff that's like um i could always put more toys too because we didn't put like all of the toys for sale oh we could put more of the clay we had some of the clay downstairs but we could put more of it up here oh it's like a whole art section wait that's actually we can always just do like three shelves with like three different art supplies um just the little no i think i like it i think i like it like this the lump looks so strange it does it really is weird i don't know if i like it or not building blocks are art well so the blocks don't slot anywhere um like the nesting blocks don't slot we could put them but just keep in mind that we have to they won't be functional like we have to raise them up so they won't actually work that's why i've been trying to avoid um doing any of this like things that have to be raised up because they don't actually work um but you can't change the color of these once they're placed either can you oh that's so annoying i don't know why you can't also people keep suggesting yarn but this is only base game and get to work so there is no yarn um i'm so sorry there is no yarn um unfortunately that yarn comes with obviously nifty knitting so okay loads of arts and crafts what can i put is there any other small toys i mean oh maybe i'll put the bigger bookshelf this looks like it's got stuff that um the kids can actually read as well which is kind of fun toddler potties you know people have been asking me to put toddler potties all day do you listen to me listen do you really buy a toddler potty at a toy store that that is an honest honest question do you really buy a toddler potty at a toy store and i don't want to put them in the bathroom either who potty trains their toddler at a toy store i don't think that this makes sense i'm also i'm thinking about this right um i'm thinking about this and that's not the weapon tablet i'm thinking about this in terms of like how my mother felt about us when we were kids but my mom did not want to bring us to toy stores because it would result in us being sad and like throwing a little fit that we couldn't buy things you know she'd be like no you can't get the toys and then her children would be like oh my god and then scream you know um so i'm i'm just thinking do you really want to bring a toddler here as well like that's another concern that i think is a genuine concern i believe any parents in the chat might back me up on this um but i don't know i um i also don't want to put a display of toddler potties i don't know how to tell you this i just don't want to put a display of toddler potties i mean that in the nicest way possible but i'm really trying to avoid the um the request here okay um i think where did the other one go is it not under that section we have a whole section of blurpies downstairs um so i already got that covered um luckily i feel like that's kind of fun it's some simple furniture sections um i don't want to fill in this area i think i um i don't i wasn't really envisioning it being a two-story store like i was kind of picturing the store only being downstairs like how it was on the original build oh i didn't do a roof yet oh my freeze is gone oh hang on no wonder it looks so weird um anyway i was kind of picturing it being only one story so um can you live above on a store lot here okay this is a good question so yes and no um you can't actually live on a store lot like if it's a retail lot your sims cannot actually live here and like have it as their home address right but there's nothing stopping you from just never leaving so like if you owned a retail store and your sims ran the store like as their job nothing nothing says that you can't just make an apartment and then stay there you know what i mean um so you could very well do that you know make an apartment above the store and stay there i've done it loads of times um back in the day when i used to play with retail stores more um and it's really fun but just keep in mind that like um your sims when they get home from work or school they're they're gonna go um and like they'll go and autonomously show up at their home lot and not the store you'll have to bring them here um obviously you won't have like your friends and family popping by to visit you here because you don't actually live here um but you could you could just stay here if you wanted to so i hope that answers your question um you met someone from england and he's really nice we've been getting along boy this is very exciting um i'm i'm really happy for you that's super cool um i i hope that it goes well i know a thing or two about international long distance relationships um been there done that so sounds a bit familiar chris how do you been desi free chris spontaneous thank you all for the soaps and bits everybody again um okay oops i mean honestly i i am i can't say that i would recommend it i'm not really um pro international dating uh it just sort of happened to me and now that i've done it i probably would never do it again don't plan on dating anyone else again anyway but um this isn't like a wow i love being in a long distance relationship with someone in a different country kind of thing um it actually kind of sucks it being that far away and the time difference and you know all of that um worth it for the right person but i i can't say that it is a fun time so um okay i think are we liking this i'm gonna get some like seating and maybe some chest tables outside too those are not debug shrubs now these are from the regular build mode yeah that's a good good way of putting it i don't think anybody likes being in a long distance relationship just some people can handle it and other people can't yeah and a lot of people can't handle being in a long-distance relationship nothing's wrong with that either um it sucks so always a chess table yes of course it wouldn't be a little simsy build without it um okay i'm six hours apart and it makes me cry a lot see you understand yeah that sounds about right crowd thank you for 11 months um yeah i i relate to that a lot the um the the international business is really quite miserable as well do you know what especially during covid um terrible but it's okay because now dan moved here so it's a little bit easier a little bit it's a lot a bit easier he lives here it's done now so um that is an improvement to say the least but um oh wait you know what i was gonna do i was gonna get um from get to work i wanted to get some more of those little like like these kind of guys to put around the place i thought that would be cool you know like maybe to emphasize that these items are for sale and they're not just up here for no reason um maybe if there was like a i don't know um or stand from dan is from from england he lived he used to live near london um not anymore though because he moved to america in july um so it's like a clearance sign yeah it kind of does that's kind of what i liked about it um oh my god i haven't saved my game this whole time oops oopsies okay um i think i'm gonna put a couple trees over here someone asked did dan do dual citizenship so um i don't know how familiar you are with the process of like getting a visa to a different country i assume not very because like why would you be um but you can't just like become a dual citizen um it takes a really long time to become a citizen in the u.s so dan will will probably eventually become a citizen obviously like when he's lived here for a long time um but you have to live here for a long time before that's even an option um but eventually like obviously he can maintain his uk citizenship and then if he gets u.s citizenship he can have that too um but you can't just like apply for it he has a visa he came here on a k1 visa and now that we're married he's we filed to adjust status to get his green card he's gonna get like basically like a residency permit um that he can stay here on for a while um okay let's see i've made a couple videos about it um if that's something that you're interested in hearing more about i know it's all very bizarre um but i've made a few videos on youtube about it that like explain it in more detail if that's something that you want to watch um because i know you might have questions i probably answered them though in those videos um so anyway it's very complicated they don't make it easy it's stupid but he's here now which makes it easier so uh yeah it takes a long time to even get his like obviously his visa took forever to get and stuff like that it's um yeah some countries allow dual citizenship others don't um so like there are some places if you're from there uh you aren't allowed to be a dual citizen so you'd have to give up your citizenship to have that citizenship the u.s and the uk both allow dual citizenship so you could be a citizen of both at the same time but in some places you could only be a citizen of one that place and so if you wanted to become a u.s citizen you have to like renounce your home citizenship um which kind of sucks um but luckily in the u.s you don't have to do that um okay i don't know i don't know what more i want to do for this hmm oh make it bigger um is there any more like fun signs that won't be ugly see that's a clothing sign they used to have this one um that was in the front before that's like a collectible sign i don't know why they would have that we don't have any collectibles in there but we could put it build looks fantastic thanks i'm really happy with it i think it's kind of fun um i i'm looking of cute i don't know i i kind of like it so on the inside like each corner kind of has different stuff there's like some toys over here we got some transportation toys we've got all of these little guys we got the teddy bears there's a doll section with doll houses and loads of dolls upstairs there's the bathrooms and also like some furniture um but and then we have like obviously open space if you wanted to live here you could make it into an apartment i had doubts in the beginning okay well in your defense it looked like this before so i don't blame you it was horrible it looked horrible the original is really just so sad so um this one is a placed lot hope when you when you play get to work um this is the paddy wax emporium that that exists right here um i can't put it on the gallery yet because i need to go set up all the items to be for sale so i need to like get a sim and have them own it um and then we can be ready um all right let me give myself loads of money so i can buy the store and set it up okay will it bsp build maybe maybe um buy a retail store come on give me give me give me watch it not be enough it should be enough okay i couldn't money cheat yeah i could have typed money and then given myself a significant amount of money or i could cheat it like that i mean it's anyway this is how you do this so um everyone i'm going to be here for a while um yeah it really is horrible but it's okay because we get to hang out you know and then we can one at a time decide what we want to sell um i don't think that you'll have to do this too once you download it i assume it will stay set up when you download it um i can't imagine why it wouldn't stay when you download it so you can even set the sign for sale if you wanted to but i i'm guessing they did this because like you know you don't really want to put the sign for sale or the table for sale it's just the stuff that's on the tables but then you obviously have to like individually do so much and it's kind of ridiculous um that's okay yeah if you have to do it then i guess no one's buying toys in my save file yeah i mean like that i don't blame you well it works like on their version of it and people post stores from the gallery don't they if you actually can't do it i'm gonna be really angry oh my god but then when you bring a sim here you can buy the toys it's gonna be so cute set to replace automatically should i how about a i'll leave the markup um how do you oh no you could use the toggle for sale tag oh oh oh that just shows me what it is on never mind that doesn't do anything yeah i think the auto replace thing is one of the perks it has to be like a higher quality oh god you can run a store and get to work that's this is one of the things that came with get to work it's actually kind of fun i've really enjoyed running stores in the past um you could like have your sim be a painter and run their own art gallery and like sell their stuff you know it's actually quite cool um okay oh wait i wanted to put these things on the wall for sale is there anything else this one yep oh this thing and then upstairs just a few more things everyone just a few more things can do this cause like how often do you do it you know um i wanna bring a sim here so i can see what it's like when you go shopping there um let's come here maybe maybe dennis can bring olivia that's kind of cute we're here to shop but then you could come in and look oh my god all right this place is it's pricey but look you can buy it and then you can be like hmm i want this maybe this one oh give me the dollhouse how about this i'm buying out the store oh let's see if we can buy the item i raised up oh i think she can buy the toddler blocks oh yeah that's weird yeah that's weird but that's okay that's okay yeah somebody supervised this child i know she's gonna buy out the whole place i love this i'm having a great time and then the stuff that like obviously goes in her inventory is in her inventory and then the other stuff's gonna be in her household inventory oh my god the place is popping look at how many people are here they love the toy store okay i like it i think this turned out good um you once had a legacy husband who was an alien who erased his wife's mind over and over well hey that sounds like fun this would be something like next rags to riches yeah i haven't done a retail rag searches with stanley in a while have i maybe i will i'll write it down oops cross stitching retail please avenge him oh my god that's not a bad idea because you know how cross stitching is literally impossible to make money from when you when you run a retail store you can set the price markup way higher so he can try and make money from it okay you give up uh-oh what
