Renovating an Abandoned Range....

[Music] hey welcome to off the ranch welcome to basically renovation ranch but also welcome to demolition ranch we're renovating demolition ranch those who know about it know that we have a range out here in the woods and me and the boys have a bunch of new stuff from caldwell shooting supplies they're sponsoring this episode and they got our range fixed up it wasn't nice enough so we got a bunch of targets we got a bunch of rest we got some shooting tables it's gonna be pretty sweet all the targets we have here today mount to t post so we have some target you know the targets you guys have seen forever out here all these are texas star a lot of stuff but we've also put these t-posts in which we're gonna be hanging the new targets from we have some tall ones we have some short ones gonna be putting them around and we probably will go down the long range area as well this right here is an ipsec target and then this is the same shape as you can tell but it is a 33 percent ipsec so it's just really small which is cool if you're trying to hit more accurately but the way they mount is kind of cool so it sits on a t-post with this little block it has a spring here so it can bounce around so it kind of helps absorb that bullet these are rifle rated so we should be able to shoot the bigger ones at them all day and uh yeah cool little mounting on that bolt i've never seen that style before but we're gonna put a bunch of them out here i don't know if you can tell the ground is not disturbed here and it is disturbed here i think it's an armadillo could be hog but hogs usually tear up a lot more and over here grounds disturbed i cut my hand yesterday on the 510 there there there all over there i think our little frag grenade guy is back we named him frag we have armadillo that was like out here in the middle of a demolition ranch video one day i hadn't seen him in a while we also got one of these so this is a sled and it's the hydro sled which they have some called lead sleds as well but this one he's filled with water put it all together right here so you fill it up with water so it doesn't move around which is good because a lot of the stuff we do we hook the pew pew down and we get behind cover and pull it with a string and we always end like duct taping it and wiring it to whatever table or mount that it's on this would be much better you can see it's got ways you can mount it plus we can put some bungees around it to make it real secure and then it's going to be super heavy so it's not going to move we'll hit our target right where we want [Music] [Applause] we just mounted this one up high but it's so high i think it's so heavy i don't know it's in there pretty good we're just worried it'll fall over on someone because we mounted it so high we probably should go down deeper in the ground too but also this target was it's awesome and it was made by the school but i feel bad shooting it like these little things will slowly get chewed up we shoot it so i think we're gonna move this one off the range and put it by the hq just as a decorative piece which kind of sounds like i don't know they work so hard and it's ar 500 steel and it's 5 8 thick like it's some thick stuff but i just feel bad tearing it up it's so cool looking i think we're actually going to move this one off the range although i think crispy was the one who did this crispy arty he already hit it with one y'all want to see some freaking black magic so we just i took the nuts off of these and this one will come right out which i was like holy cow and then john pulls this one just the paint is holding it up right now it is completely held up by only paint there's no glue and this thing weighs like 100 pounds could have killed somebody we also got some fancier stuff check this out little target here you put paper targets on here and it's electronic so you can turn it on and you can fire there but then sometimes it turns back sideways or you can turn it up cool or you can turn away up just getting fancier and fancier out here on the ranch so you rarely see the range from this angle so that's back what's nice about this range is there's huge hills on all sides of it so we can fire in pretty much any direction my land goes far in every direction and so you can kind of see the top of that hill up there and i've always kind of wanted to work our targets a little bit further back and so like maybe put a t-post right up in there so we have something to shoot there which we're down here it'll be kind of like back up in the woods you know so you have to kind of get around these trees just daydreaming [Music] decided to put a big one in the back so when i hit it it looks like i'm a great shot because it's so far away it's like it's like 20 feet away pretty good shot here's a good uh little lesson for you so you can tell the difference that's the 33 so it's you know the size of a hand this is the 66 percent so it's you know twice as big as that one and then this is the full size the 100 and so it's supposed to be the size of a torso as you can tell so actually those that i was looking at yeah those are like 66 percent or maybe even bigger i don't know they look a little different but these are actual epic targets that's just kind of replicating it not that you guys care and they're all 3 8 inch thickness so they're rifle rated pistol rated i think are quarter inch and then like 50 bmg is half inch also have some of these that is a gong target this they're calling an octagon target so it is an octagon except it has little ears there for hanging and then this is a coffin target it's pretty sweet and then what are these cute little guys oh a five inch gong oh 33 ipsec we got to figure out how to hang all these so these don't have a hole in the center so we're thinking about hanging them from cables have them like strung across we don't have all the stuff needed to actually hang these because we need to go to the hardware store we had some cable so we decided to hang these from a cable between two posts here so we're gonna hang two targets from these cables but i mean if you put your bullet in the right spot it'll totally cut the cable so we'll have to come make these better sometimes we just kind of wanted to see what it was like hanging them see if we like this location we're tie them all up with this cable and we'll see how it goes i like it so later on we'll get some chains and string them and then drop these down hanging by chains as well because you hit there you hit there this whole thing's gonna go down so we'll do it better later getting the texas star out of the way sweet which that is the coolest target ever we love the texas star so that's gonna stay out here we gotta figure out a new place for it we got this table the nice little bench here and this nice sled on it for precision shooting and then i was like we're looking at a giant target 10 yards away our precision rest here bullseye actually i missed also have this cobble chronograph g2 this is something that you guys have told us to get forever get a chronograph so we can actually like see how fast some of the projectiles are flying uh caldwell was like yeah you need one of these so we have one now we're gonna throw rocks through it and see if it registers okay we're gonna we're gonna throw rocks you can throw rocks fastest through it but i have a trick up my sleeve i'm throwing obsidian ah you guys haven't probably seen this video yet we might have blown up some obsidian in a recent video that hasn't gone live yet okay i'm going that way which way are you going i was throwing at you i just want to see if it registers this i hit it didn't register probably because i hit it three two one i think david might be right i think we maybe need bullets dang it we also have this which is pretty sweet i guess it's a automated robot turret so if any bad guys come up no it's it's a camera so it's a long range thing and this is a emitter i guess and so this thing you put down by your targets on your long range range and then this thing emits back to you and you can look at it and see where you are hitting that's pretty cool we've always kind of had to just have a spotting scope or have someone who is looking through another scope down there this will make it to where you can just have it right there on the table next to you see exactly where we hit very cool we just shot a gold uh kalishnikov through here it was beautiful and it works it just didn't work with our rocks we're too slow we got a big box from crimson trace as well they make a lot of cool stuff show you that in a minute but then this box also you can tell it was wet it was sitting out by the road in the rain it's also from crimson trace no clue what's in here uh i don't know what crimson trace would make it'll be this big but we're about to find out merch and i don't know what is this oh this is gonna be like sunglasses or something empty box oh for the sunglasses and these gotta be little ear plug things all right so this is crazy this is from caldwell so crimson trace is owned by i think the same parent company that owns uh caldwell which is where all this stuff came from just some more swag what is in here though oh they make knives apparently we were just uh talking about how dull the knife that i use is because i never sharpen it so it's probably a good time to get a new one anyway it's a scope 4-16 power all right so anyway demolition ranch getting a lot of tools and toys we're gonna get all these out on the table as you can see all the stuff we just got here's what we got you kind of saw what was in here we also have light laser combos we got mounts mounts we've got all these little red dots this i mean this is sweet this is what crimson trace in my mind has always had is like lasers now i need to buy a little smith wesson j frame lights gun lights gun lights this is a bigger red dot here shotgun laser 1911 laser grips that's going on the gold one real quick and then some different sizes of scope so you'll be seeing a lot of crimson trace stuff coming up on the next few episodes of demolition ranch we are going to actually film a demolition ranch video now and we put pew pews in those videos and we don't show pew pews on this channel we have a totally family friendly safe channel youtube no need to demonetize this one so we'll be back in a little bit after the demolition ranch video is done demo ranch video went great i was covered in ranch dressing's long story but we're gonna see if this generator will power the lights we have a little hookup hook it up to the trailer we're gonna power the lights in here and then we're also gonna run our outside lights and our like scanners and everything off of that and have a place like charged cell phones and everything so we're gonna fire it up right now see if it works oh yeah turn her up there we go oh whoa it has oh you put these in here i was like where'd these strips come from dude that's great so these lights are what came on the trailer and then we also have these little led strips yeah this is great we'll be able to see everything plus it looks like a party in here now whoop all right we want to see how it looks when it's actually dark outside oh yeah this is great i'm gonna live in this probably the coolest thing i've ever seen oh hell yeah good elf romino in here it's gonna be great okay i need to hook up the trailer now so we can move it around in front don't look at that that's future demo range video uh so we can move around in front of the bay doors so we can load this thing we are leaving super early tomorrow morning hitting the road with this truck and that big trailer and it needs to be full by the end of today so about to do a lot of work trailers hooked up uh we are going to try to just back it straight up into a garage bay and i'm gonna use my nice new trailer camera to figure that out there's back behind the trailer just backed it up it was too hard to try to film and do it look they're gonna open the door bring it down right in front of that bay door maybe maybe oh it might still be locked oh no it's good look at that dude we can see everything from there that's the greatest thing i've ever done okay so now this trailer is gonna get completely full of boxes probably we haven't really calculated how much space gonna take up we're gonna take a lot of stuff just in case we don't really know how much to take this thing is super cool that's our 10 by 20 tent you'll see that soon enough all right trailers about to get loaded generator check tires check we got some like little tires these are the stock size tires that go on the el chromino and then we got some bigger ones down there because the ones i use we used them they smoked uh really well but we didn't actually blow up blow them up because it was smoking so much i couldn't breathe anything so we might still use those but they also you saw the wheel hop happening they also probably are pretty out of balance so we may use these these have less aggressive tread but uh they're still giant and probably will probably work better than those giant meaty mud terrain tires even though those look awesome so probably keep my trains on it we're just like driving around ranch in the el camino but for the competitions we'll probably put a more street like purposed big truck tire on it because everyone's like matt put normal sized car tires on it it'll do a better burnout i know that i'm not trying to do good burnout i'm trying to look awesome i don't get why you guys don't get that but as you can see we also have a lot of boxes all of our merch and we're not going to fill this thing up it's probably we're getting close like we have a few more things around there we're getting close to having all the stuff in here so it's going to be about half full of merch we got this big of a trailer so we can stick an el chromino in it and bring it home so i think we're getting close to being full here you know this nice little door here on the side and man we're set up we have a lot of little things we need to get like uh the tent needs to get in here and then like wiring and lights and like power strips and all the little junk and then we're ready to rock we're gonna be here bright and early i think we're leaving at 6 00 a.m tomorrow morning i'm gonna come up here grab the trailer and me and three guys are gonna head out in the ford and we're gonna go to indianapolis 16 hours and 50 minutes 1 1199 miles is the fastest route to indianapolis sweet uh and that's in a normal car going normal speeds not carrying a nine foot tall 22 foot long trailer in a dually uh well i'll probably be driving 80 the whole way it'll be fine i got everything for the trip like little like tool bag i think everything i'll need is in there i got a bunch of random things that we'll need for tomorrow we're going to end up putting those in the trailer those won't stay there but got a tire iron so i can change the tire if we get a flat on the trailer we have a spare on the trailer i think we're i think we're ready we do have something special planned for cleveland cars it's not gonna be uh the same as the last time we were there it's a secret you're gonna love it so tomorrow me and three guys from the bunker are heading out dark and early in this thing hooking up trailer and going on a 16 hour and 50 minute road trip i don't think we're gonna make it one day but we're leaving really early so it's possible we got four drivers so it's possible but just a boys road trip and just like today was a vlog we're gonna be vlogging that just get back to like the old daily vlogs for like three days in a row it's gonna be pretty sweet i don't want to ever be a daily vlogger ever but it is fun every once in a while to hit that daily vlog so i think we're gonna get three vlogs in a row maybe not because you never know what actually might have a road trip but that's what i'm shooting for so do militia wish me luck on the road trip and hitting three day vlogs all in a row i think
