[Music] attitude mentality and mindset if you want to be an impactful personality you have to develop certain types of thinking and perceptions that change the way you see yourself and see the world we can have a lot to do in determining what a year will bring forth for us and it is true we may not determine the exact activities other actions or reactions of other people what we show enough can determine the final results let's talk a little bit about the line the lion has what I call the spirit of leadership and this word spirit here is referring to attitude the lion is the king because of one word attitude the lion has a different attitude that makes every animal afraid of him when I use the word fear we're talking about respect the elephant respects the lion the hyenas respect the lion the giraffes they respect the lion what makes these massive animals respect such a small cat he's not the tallest not the strongest not the smartest not the heaviest not the most intelligent but yet he runs things that's because the lion has something that we need to capture the attitude is the difference for example a lion will see an elephant and the thing that comes to his mind one worried lunch now the elephant is ten times the size of the lion probably 50 times heavier and has more power one stump of his feet could destroy the lion but when the lion sees the elephant he doesn't look at size and weight and strength and power he looks at lunch I could eat this thing he acts the way he thinks you see the size is not the problem the weight of the elephant is not as concerned what makes him act is the way he thinks and because he thinks he can eat the elephant he attacks him the elephant is larger bigger stronger more powerful heavier and more intelligent and yet when the elephant sees the lion he thinks that he is lunch the elephant is controlled by the way he thinks therefore his size is weight his power his might his authority is a victim of the way he thinks it doesn't matter how big you are how intelligent you are how many degrees you get it's your mind that keeps you small and it doesn't matter how small you are or how an unintelligent you may seem to be or how much you don't have it's your mind that keeps you small attitude Romans chapter number 12 verses 1 & 2 today's be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind so the renewing of your mind will help you transform your life and I'm talking about mind management question do I want to transform my life do I want to change my life to a better quality of life I need to have a knowledge but that knowledge can only be knowledge if it works for me if God says to you that you can be transformed by the renewing of your mind he's given you the responsibility he's telling you that you can make it happen he's instructing you to do it because it's put the ability with within you to do it so you can actually change change your life from glory to glory by the renewing of your mind and what you do to your mind will show up in its character it will show up in what happens why are you the way you are and what more would you want to add to your life what would you like to take out of your life in a meeting like this there are things you'd like to add to your life there are things you'd like to take care of your life it's great that you know it's possible in the first place if you don't manage your mind then it's gonna keep giving to you what it's already got where you are today is a function of your mind you are the expression of all that cinema the workings of your mind that's who you are your personality is the expression of your mind the Bible says as a man thinketh so is he in other words it is the thinking of the person that makes them see circumstances differently people ask me how am i doing my answer is I have no problems I haven't had a problem for the last 35 years why because nothing in my life is a problem the word problem is a human definition of an opportunity to grow if you call it a problem it's a negative if you see it as an opportunity it becomes a positive how do you think write this down attitude is a product of belief you cannot have an attitude beyond your belief so your attitude comes from your belief system the lion is the king because of what he believes about himself and what he believes about the elephant and the giraffe he believes that they are lunch and he believes he can eat them his belief system controls the whole situation when they meet no amount of promotional associations with rich people or smart people can ever substitute for the right attitude as a matter of fact your development is determined by number one your perception of who you are number two by why you think you exists and number three these are very important your sense of significance I am giving you my secret to life right here you got to first change your perception of who you are and that starts with a belief system secondly you must change your perception of why you think you exists and number three your sense of significance once you discover no matter where you are right now it doesn't matter I don't care what's this when you in now where you working or what setting you in if you get these three things to come alive number one your perception of who you are you've got to change it and most of our perceptions are other people's concepts of us and therefore we don't have self-concept we got other concept what is your perception who you are and the second one why do you think you exists you got to discover that you were born for something some reason there's some purpose for your life if you don't discover that you'll always have a job and we'll bury you in an average grave with an average tombstone and you must develop a sense of significance in your life discover that you are important to the human race you are important to the world you are important to your universe when I had to travel with that question it was tough because I've been taught by society like you have that you are just a Social Security number or some NIV number or use some just kind of a worker in the system but that's not true you were born to do something very significant in the world and you have to get to the point where you believe that you can have potential but if you don't have the belief your potential becomes a victim of your present belief remember the elephant the elephant has great power but what makes him afraid of the lion is his belief system belief is so powerful it can make an elephant act like a sheep in the presence of a lion your life how you live what you do the character of your words the totality of your personality the expression of your mind so managing your mind is the primary principle for increasing your value in multiplying your success and upgrading your state you know normally people who are insecure whenever they meet somebody who is confident they always called the confident arrogant when you discover who you are you can't help but be confident I don't pretend I don't try to have confidence if you try that means you ain't at it it's you're faking it confidence is a product of belief but you believe what yourself determines where you think about yourself and if what you think about yourself is the way you behave and you behave bold and confident and felis because there's some things you discovered about you and about life that changed a perception and that's what the session is about it's about mentality first of all your attitude gotta be right then you must marry that two attributes that means gifts you were born with then you got to marry that to aptitude that means now you got to educate and train those gifts that's why you read and study and go to school for your aptitude to be increased and then your altitude means you got to change the level of associations you are in you know it's amazing when you change your attitude you normally want to change your altitude is you have to appreciate the fact that no one is responding for your life except you I had to take charge of my life as a teenager and at age 13 I discovered who I was I became a problem to the whole family my mom said to me she say you are a different boy you are a different child but something happened to me at age 13 I discovered myself different was simply meaning you don't think like the rest of the kids that's what it means I remember thinking is belief system being exposed and therefore I married my attitude and my attributes and my attitude change and I began to study for a different reason and suddenly my altitude change i sat attracting different types of friends sometimes you say I've tried hard about this I've prayed about this I've done this and I've done that and I've done that and I haven't had much success with it what more can I do well I'm saying to you let's begin with mind management can we manage your mind can we get into your mind and see how it works and see what fires need to be deleted and what fires need to be downloaded and installed so what changes can we make in the structure of your thinking I studied Eagles intensely I got a whole series on Eagles because you must study to understand life and I discovered but he did they said Eagles can fly up to three to four miles in the sky and do you know that when an eagle is flying a top flight they say that if an eagle meets another bird in top flight it has to be another eagle because they're the only birds that can fly at that altitude so here's a thought to take back to work with you if you keep running into pigeons and ducks and tobacco doves you are flying too low Dino a pigeon is Eagles never flocked you only find them one at a time so if you keep attracting a gang of people around you at work everybody want to break gossip for you no cackling you are in bad company that's why I really want you to give yourself a big hand today because to come they're frightened Philippians chapter 4 verse 6 he says be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God and the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus then it goes in verse 8 finally brethren this is not an addendum he's gonna tell us something that's so important in connection with all he's been talking about finally brethren whatsoever things are true whatsoever things are honest whatsoever things are just whatsoever things are pure whatsoever things are lovely whatsoever things are of good report says if there be any virtue if there be any praise think on these things you see he then just tell us to renew our minds without telling us what to think about he told us to change the fires in our man and then he told us what fires to download so he told us what to think about imagine if we had this verse as a scripture that controls our minds look at it again verse 8 finally brethren whatsoever things are true how do you test choose whatever things are honest whatsoever things are just whatsoever things are pure whatever things are lovely oh boy whatsoever things of good reports how many things have you listened to and they were not of good report and you kept thinking about them they were not true they were not honest they were not peel they were not of good reports yet you centered your mind on them and you wonder why you're unhappy and unhappy pastor produces unhappy people unhappy congregation I don't keep my mind on nasty things I only think deeply on God's Word I don't have time to meditate on other things especially all those things that don't qualify here people who criticize get time for it and that's why I ignore them I ignore my critics because they got time for it I'm too busy I'm too busy succeeding I'm giving them something to criticize the greatest revenge in like they say is success right it's down it's not ability its mentality it's not ability it's what mentality that elephant and that hippopotamus has power they got ability strength size they get might they got ability what they lack is mentality the lion got a different mentality so he eats them for lunch write this down what you think is more important than what you do and so if you want to change you got to work on this attitude you know trees are not in the soil they are trapped in a scene and every one of you is a seed that was sent to the planet to produce a tree to serve the world your fruit that's why you were born and deep inside of you is a person no one knows yet and what you've done so far is just initiation process that's why no one should cancel you yet because you ain't quite come out yet you know a seed can be placed on a windowsill in your tiled bathroom and stay there for 50 years and the tree never come out even though the seed has a tree it is a victim of the environment if you can just get that seed off that windowsill and put it in soil with a little bit of water here comes the future that's the way life is you are no different from a seed so coming to a summit like this and sitting among people like this this is fertilizer it's a seed bed it's soil for you to put yourself in matter of fact when you leave here imagine he had prepare yourself you got to go back to those rocky people in your yourself don't be in bondage to your thoughts thoughts are coming to you that are wrong thoughts are coming to you that are trying to intimidate you trying to make you feel less than yourself you've car I'm feeding my see even the music you listen to got to be careful it can be poison to your germination of your scene the next time someone says they want to get to know you accident are you fertilizer or a rock there are some folks in your life right now who are very toxic they will pollute your seed you'll never come out have you noticed that people who ain't going nowhere want you to go with them folks are in doing nothing in life want you to do it with them that's why you got to break away from your best friends sometime to become better you all grow people so know when to leave be with people who you can ask questions that's how you grow an attitude must be a product of your belief system everybody and you have attitude everybody your ability you never receive it you came with it but your ability that you were born with is trapped by the mentality that they gave you from your culture this is why to be great you got to divorce yourself from your traditions and your culture cuz convention makes no room for creativity it doesn't allow you to believe beyond the norm matter of fact they want you to fit in not and out so society is all designed you to behave yourself you got to design your cause that takes boldness and risk it takes all kinds of challenging commitment to decide where you want to go in life out front some of you in this room you are powerful but they got you in the bush the social environment is just making you afraid to come out and take what's yours in life I put it to you this way there was a story of a man his name was Caleb Caleb was the man in the bush until he ran into his creator and his mentality was changed the text says that when they went into the land to check out the land that was already theirs according to promise they all came back and ten of them told Moses that the land they saw had big Giants in them and then they also told most that we were like grasshoppers in their eyes now they never talked to the Giants to find out that's what Giants thought about them let me say that slow you missed it they went to the land to check it out it was already theirs they saw some people in the land they came back and told Moses that people are like Giants and then they said and we are like grasshoppers in their eyes how did they know that you are the way you see yourself do you think your grasshopper the elephant actually thinks it's a meal for a cat it was their thinking that made them not going to the land where did they get that language from from somebody else who was just as doors as them where did you get it from your great great grandfather are hoping that you don't take the road day - are you still there there's a greater life out there are you listening there's a greater life don't be in the same boat that your great-grandfather was in your roots should be in Christ if any man be in Christ he is a new creation old things and all things are become now you look at your life and you think well you know I'm not a very outgoing person the way I was tricked that I lived in my uncle they so dealt with me and put fear in me I grew up with you for how long are you gonna think like this what are you gonna talk about it isn't trying to change you are here now so what are you gonna do what's your future gonna be like for how long are you gonna test the fact that they put fear in you how long will you be in bondage to your mind the bondage of the past for how long will you be there how long Elijah the prophet said to the children of Israel how long shall you horrid between two opinions in other words the word part means so saga like a he said how long shall you stagger between two opinions how long how long are you gonna stack up in your life when are you going to finally see yourself journey upward and forward only I've told it that's my life upward and forward only I don't have no doubts not that many people who have known me for years there's been no down in my life I can't have it down I have no down days no I just keep moving upward I believe Jesus gave us a life and he said follow me he said he that follows me shall not walk in darkness he shall have the light of Life that's progress that's success that's prosperity that's victory why the special trees tell people they can have a life without suffering how did he say that whose say their own experience is stole them and didn't say that's you may not have some things to suffer the only thing you are the supply is specification that's what the Bible says and I've got quite a lot of it Alleluia however Caleb and Joshua came and Caleb and Joshua said Moses don't believe them we are well able to take the land the people are there nothing we could knock them off heimo let's go get them the attitude was different and here's God's response to Caleb and Joshua he says because my servant caleb has they were different spirits small as miss attitude and follows me horribly I will bring him in the land the Bible says the heavens belong to God and the earth he has even to the children of men in other words the only difference between the 2 and the 10 was attitude they saw the same thing they saw the same people they saw the same land but their perceptions were different based on their belief system he was not a man that was bigger than them or stronger his thinking was different and that was the only distinguishing factor that the creator said made the difference read that verse again he says the only difference was their spirit was different in the word that means attitude the small s mentality can do that to you that's how I am no problem that took me to the second part of the message in 1st Corinthians chapter 13 and verse 13 three great factors three great principles three great spiritual laws that are necessary for an exciting life so he says now abideth faith hope and love these three the greatest of these is love this is love is the greatest but the three are three Greeks with one being the greatest of the tree Faith Hope Love these three the old King James translation says charity instead of love so it's love because it's translated from the Greek word agape God's love even in the heat of trouble he said when you go to the fire you shall not be burned he said so why should we worry about the fire he said when you go to the fire you shall not be burned so I know that I've got to go through the fire and I don't have to try to you know well you know this part of my life I know I'm going through fire now you know I'm going through fire he didn't say that you will notice it he didn't say that he said when you go through the fire you shall not be burnt Shadrach Meshach and Abednego went into the fire the Bible says nothing was burnt except the bonds with which they were tied and that there was no smell of fire on their clothes then he said when you go to the water it shall not overflow you so that's telling us about problems in life in that when we go through them we will not even notice them why because you stay you stay on the platform of the word of God stay on the platform of the world it is your belief system which controls your behavior I see the world differently for most people because of my belief system which becomes my attitude creator so I don't panic panic is a product of a certain belief system you know your attitude in turn by your belief system and therefore it is your mental conditioning and this is designed to work on your mental conditioning to give you a different way of thinking so that your life changes you have to nurture yourself so that you can produce the right attitudes and nurture means to feed yourself the right information change your thoughts because your life what you add today is the expression of all your thoughts all these years period you look like your mind now if you found now and this is true anyway that your face is the expression of the character of your thoughts how do you feel and not only that your life the way you are is the character of your mind just that the circumstances of your life are the expression of your mind why do some people always have accidents by their confession they have opened up their lives to demonic operations they don't know this they have fear because they had an accident one time the most high because of the first accident I was not because I was not because okay now so how can I be the cause of the second row and the third row in the photo in one year only you five near-death experiences how many more are you gonna have and keep testifying you know what happened insistence as I was coming like this and something was coming like this if they almost finish me like this it was good that you said my life when is your testimony going to go a book in the bathroom a book in my briefcase I got a book in the office you know I got a book by the toilet so ever I am I'm working on the chapter somewhere I love my wife she reads a lot she reads more than me and our house is full of books our kids we never tell them read they won't just read all the time if you want your kids to value books you should value them you tell your kids go read a book go read your homework and then you watch TV they confused your kids will value what you value if you value TV they got hate books if they want you always reading books they got to turn the TV off cuz whatever mom and dad values and mom and dad are doing well that must be what we should do too so our kids fell in love with books my house is full of books and begin to run at a house because you become what you think you cannot rise above the plain of your mental conditioning so I got to constantly keep feeding my mentality I have to work on it so I can work up my altitude of mentality he said when I was a child I spake as a child I would understood as a child and finally thought as a child when I became a man I put away childish things no wonder it was a child because he spoke fast and understood next before he thought as a man you think first understand next before you speak and so he comes to the 13th verse and he says now abideth Faith Hope Love these three the greatest of these is love which means the first principle is love until you know that you are loved you will never make a success of your life you've got to know that you are loved if a husband doesn't know that he's loved by his wife the family will never work out well if a wife doesn't know that she's loved by her husband the family will be in shambles love is not something you toy with love is something you believe and speak children have to know that they are loved and parents have to know that they are loved learn to speak the law of language I'm an African man I don't talk like that we love what we keep it in our hearts no law has a language love must speak this love doesn't speak it dies you know people who can't express love lavishly cannot believe in the lavish love of God and the Bible says God has bestowed his love upon us lavished his love upon us that we Accord his sons become confident of it it'll change the way you live become confident of it it'll change your perception of your future to change your life you might change your mind don't let where you came from physically trapped you don't let your ethnic heritage become your graveyard stop waiting for everything to show up before you start let us meet you before you die please not the one the culture made the one that's on the inside that we have yet to meet the true self sometimes our past can hold us back mentality just don't allow you to to step out and take a risk what about hope we talked about love as it hopes at based on thoughts or a hopes hopes our expectant thoughts of a desired end because you see he says these three abide faith hope and love these three are powerful principles to live by I gotta trust in the love of God I gotta trust the God loves me and wants me if he loves me he must want me if he wants me he must have a plan for me I come into this world fulfilling the plan of God for my life great confidence I'm not living for nothing if you don't know why you're alive you're gonna be done about that in the darkness not knowing where you're going you do this and you do this you get into this business and you run out of it and do this in rona you keep moving around whatever they say is working is what you get into no don't let your life be swayed by the circumstances of the season hope is based on thoughts how can I be expectant because my thoughts are expected so hope depends on what I think about what do I think about myself what do I think about God what do I think about my environment am I gonna give up and say nothing works I'm finished nothing works is that the way I'm going to think I'm not going to think like everybody around me is it if nowhere is safe is that how you're going to think there's more inside you than the world could ever fathom beliefs and convictions can regulates the nature of your life and therefore the source of beliefs is the perception of your truth what is truth to you determines what you do with your life whatever you think is truth that's how you're gonna live that's why it's important to keep getting information what you're doing now it's not what you could do whatever you impressed with God's disappointed in the matter what happens we can choose to win
