uh festival program entitled the apocalypse i am naja cooper i am the five of us as the religious liberty leader and we are so happy that you can join us this morning we have had an awesome awesome week here with pastor dutton so far he has indeed blessed us with the word of god he has provoked and probed our spirits and minds as he took us through the tunnels of time with topics such as iran in the bible angels in the middle east that wine drinking donkey and he will do it again today with the hidden seal i know you are excited and you are waiting to hear from him we do have an awesome program planned for you and we are happy that you have been sharing the link we've had so many views and we know that god's work is being done in this final days and we thank you for that it is amazing how pastor dutton has been used by god to bring god's word to his people he encouraged us that even though we are facing perilous times even though there is panic and pandemonium all around the world right now we have the proclamation in the word of god that when we see these things that we should look up for our deliverance draws nigh so look up look up look up to god pray get your lives in order for we are definitely living in the last days don't say you have time time is no longer anything that you can look forward to you don't have five years 10 years 15 years youth you have no so change your life and give your lives to christ now the hour of his judgment is now he is getting ready to seal his people are you ready for his seal god is our salvation he is a god of liberty he has given us the liberty to worship and we should be happy for that for a time will come when we will not be able to have that liberty so take it now do what needs to be done with it now isaiah 12 2 says behold god is my salvation i will trust and not be afraid trust and not be afraid to stand for god stand like daniel stand like those three hebrew boys stand for what you believe in and god will take care of you he is our deliverance he will deliver you from any storm that life may face may come your way trust in him and he will see you through there is nothing bigger stronger or anything that cannot rank god god is all-powerful and almighty he can deliver us from any bondage he can set us free from that we are washed in the blood of jesus christ the blood of jesus covers us protects us completes us so trust in him there is no darkness no entanglement no prison no oppression or depression no financial problem or spiritual wilderness that he cannot deliver you from so trust in god he is our salvation i hope that this program has indeed touched your hearts and revived your spirit your lives so that you continue to trust in god and do his will serve him with all your hearts and all your mind and lean not unto your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your part i pray that god continues to bless us to bless you have an awesome and we welcome you glad that you can join us well you know this is the children's corner and we have a story for you but before we give you our story could you remember our first story it was about a short man yes that was zacchaeus you remember zacchaeus after he met christ oh he was a changed man and we are glad for that and that reminds us when christ comes into our heart we become changed what about our second story it was about a man who took a a ride and a fish for three whole days yes that was jonah and we know that jonah became obedient then he yes and your mummies and daddies could read that story for you in the book of jonah so today we have another story it's a story about a queen but i wouldn't tell you who she was it's you would have to guess okay so listen up [Music] what my god what am i to do what's expect from me oh oh oh hi boys and girls what are you doing here your parents know that you're here oh you've got me at such a bad time see i'm expected to do something i'm too afraid to do i don't know how they want me to do this me little me i don't know what to do see i am expected to go before the king and law is if the king does not summon you no matter who you are you will be put to death you will be killed on the spot they want me they want me to do this but i'm i have to i've prayed and i've fasted my people have prayed and fasted yet still i'm afraid i am so afraid where do i get the courage to do this do you know who i am you don't know who i am maybe i can give you a clue i'm a queen queen of persia my husband is king xux is the first but even though i'm queen i cannot go to him on someone i will die i'm a jew my cousin sent me this letter telling me that i am put here for such a time as this that god has placed me here and i have to stand for my people we will die but how do i do that see this wicked haman wants us dead he hates the jews and he has forced the king he has tricked the king rather into signing this decree that all jews should die but they're asking me and if i do not go before the king they will so is either i die or they die what would you do boys and girls if you were me would you go before the king do you think you would be brave enough how do i get the courage i know what i have to do i know that god has put me here i know that i'm purpose within my heart to serve him to do what he asked me to do so i have to i have to go to him i have to do what it takes so pray for me for i am going to do it i know that god will go with me he has placed me here and he will go with me so pray for me i will go before the king and if i perish i perish [Music] my god you have been so good to me i thank you oh hi again boys and girls i am so filled with joy so you see god took me through it god carried me through i was so afraid i was so afraid that i would die but god kept me and gave me the courage to be brave and to do what he expected of me and boys and girls if it's one thing you should notice that no matter what you face no matter how scared you get god can give you the courage to do anything you just have to put your trust in him have faith and believe that he can guide you through it all and i'm sure there are some times in your lives when you probably were a bit scared maybe just to tell somebody about god you're probably a little bit worried and scared that they make fun of you but don't because if god could give me queen esther the courage to face the king even though i may have faced that he can give you that courage to do anything so be brave boys and girls just like i've been brave go tell your friends your mommy and daddy tell them that god can do anything you need him to do for you he can give you the courage to stand up to purpose within yourself to do what he expects of you so boys and girls pray pray so that god can give you the strength that you need to stand for him just like i stood okay so have a good day okay bye yes boys and girls that was queen esther she went into the room to speak with the king and he stretched out his scepter and she touched it and was able to have an audience with the king now remember that was unprecedented she could have died because no one could go unto the king unless being summoned by the king yes but he listened to her and she explained to him what was happening with that wicked man heyman eventually he man was hung but because of esther's bravery people were saved modi kai was saved her life was also saved so boys and girls we should not be afraid we have a mighty power that goes with us and that's the power of god we have nothing to fear because god is always with us let us trust him let us be true and let us be faithful he is always by our side so don't be afraid we can pray and he has promised that he will be with us always even unto the end bye see you next week [Music] morning again to everyone and we want to thank sister cooper for sharing that that beautiful story with us and we want to thank auntie peggy for coordinating the children's corner and usually i will touch on on the story but this morning i i want to touch on the priest team i i sat in church this morning yes i'm a church and something about the worship leaders this morning they set the tone for worship i was almost jumping on my seat down there this morning and i just want to say to god be the glory the priest team really really set the tone for worship this morning we want to touch on on the youth class lesson for just a little while and last week we had a very sobering youth class lesson discussion very very sobering as a matter of fact i'm certain that it placed all the youths it had them thinking and i'm certain when i'm finished sharing it it will have even the adults thinking a little bit the theme for youth class lesson this week was the servant hero the servant hero and you know god truly was in charge even of this situation and are stories taken from isaiah chapter 53 isaiah chapter 53 from verses 2 straight on to verse 11 i want to share this story with us to help us to understand the significance of of the servant hero and like a young plant or root that sprouts on the dry ground the servant grew up obeying the lord he wasn't some handsome king nothing about the way he looked made him attractive to us he was hated and rejected his life was filled with sorrow and terrible suffering no one wanted to look at him he was despised or we despised him and said he is a nobody he suffered and endured great pain for all of us red ring but he thought his suffering was punishment from god he was wounded and crushed because of your sins and my sins by taking our punishment he made us completely well all of us were like sheep that had wandered off we had each gone our own way but the lord gave him the punishment that you and i deserved he was painfully abused but he did not complain he was silent like a lamb being led to the butcher as quiet as a sheep having the wolf cut off he was condemned to death without a fair trial who could have imagined what would have happened to him his life was taken away because of the sinful things people had done he wasn't dishonest or violent but he was buried in a tomb among cruel rich people the lord decided his servant would suffer as a sacrifice to take away the sin and guilt of others now the servant will live to see his own descendants he did everything the lord had planned by suffering the servant will learn the true meaning of obeying the lord although he is innocent he will take the punishment for the sins of others so that many of them will no longer be guilty brethren jesus christ as we would have learned in our youth class this week took your sins and my sins he didn't have to but he did it so that you and i would have another chance at life what is the lesson that we could learn from this story that even though trials may come even though we are ridiculed and even though we we are punished wrongfully let us keep our eyes focused on the prize and the prize is living eternally with our lord and savior jesus christ so i want to encourage the youth i want to encourage youth to continue to allow the sacrifices that jesus would have made on your behalf and on my behalf to resonate in our minds daily so that we'll be encouraged to live the overcomers life and to live for our lord and savior jesus christ may god bless us good morning everyone unpleasant sabbath uncle b we thank you for the lesson this morning amen and praise the lord and morning pastor welcome back and we had a wonderful time in the lord this past week with our religious liberty crusade amen amen and this week's lesson also talks about liberty in the form of the sabbath experiencing and living the character of god i want to start this morning with the word isaiah 58 13 and 14. isaiah 58 18 and 14 says if thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath from doing thy pleasure under my holy day and call the sabbath a delight the holy of the lord honorable and shall honor him not doing thine own ways nor finding thine own pleasure nor speaking thy own words then shall thou delight thyself in the lord and i will cause thee to rise upon the high places of dude and feed thee with the heritage of jacob thy father for the mouth of the lord had spoken it indeed amen i think that's a very powerful passage isaiah 58 indeed has a lot in it for us and i think there is a cry from the lord he's saying cry aloud cry love to my people show my people their sins tell them what is happening and therefore what was the problem that god was dealing with in isaiah that i think all of us need to be aware of i think first we see that the people were practicing external religion with no internal transformation okay they love to pray they love to fast they love to you know in fact while they were praying and fasting they were fighting among themselves have mercy you see so god is saying what is happening the religion was one of which they continue to do things that appear to be religious but without getting the experience the transforming power of god within their whole experience all right then christ did not leave them in their situation he also provided a solution all right and let's see if i can identify a number of solutions all right he said you must love and care for each other okay because if you must recognize and demonstrate the love of god if christ must be working from within you've got to learn christ is god is love so you got to learn how to love and to care for each other so your prayer and your fasting must be that which will cause you to be transforming your behavior okay so that they must love each other they must mend the broken relationships all right so don't continue to be at war with each other and still praise god you can't the two can work together okay mend up your broken relationship treat people justly be kind and charitable stop trumping upon my holy sabbath [Music] give glory to god he said when that happened when you start practicing and doing that which will best glorify god he says no he said the glory of god will shine through you your prayers will be answered all right and you will be guided by my holy spirit so that isaiah seemed to be taking god's people they will have drifted away from the ideals that god has set out for them and so god was calling them back okay restoring them but there must have been somewhere where god first given these divine instructions all right where did it all started well well we want to start with where it all started it started with the first full day that adam and eve spent together this was a blessing but the first full day they spent together was spent with the creator himself okay and god sanctified the seventh day with his presence and they learned much more than they knew before because they learned about god their creator and even his creation as they spent an entire day having interacting with god and what he created his creature and you know what god invited them and said listen i want you to do this with me once a week yes every seven days i'm going to have this special day where we're going to come and rest apart we're going to interact we're going to fellowship we're going to commune together and this day was especially and it's even in the bible it said it was he rested and he blessed it and sanctified it so that to me this is where it all started bishop and you know you know you know my mind is going back i'm seeing adam and eve and god sitting sitting around and he's walking with them through the garden teaching them about the plants teaching them about the animals yeah teaching them about nature and adam and eve excited this was full sabbath with god yes and they are anxiously looking forward to the next sabbath amen where they can continue to learn about the universe about the angels about the things god has created what indeed a marvelous experience this must have been what the sabbath in heaven would be like amen when god continued to teach us so therefore there must have been other things that god is saying to us in this journey and this experience you see that even after this ex this genesis experience yes and man drifted away from god god again was attempting to help man back to him all right and so that they they were in egypt yes deprived of that blessing that god intended and so god wanted now he raised up a leader a great leader yes take my people i want you to take my people in the journey so that they can enter into this land this special land i've prepared for them so that i can teach them a number of things yes but on the journey some things happen yes and and and something amazing that i call the double miracle the double whammy okay where manna came from heaven and god gave them food he said listen i'm gonna let you collect this food six days that's the first miracle but the double whammy comes where on the sixth day food that would always turn to worms and sink and be destroyed on the normal day on friday evening it would last for another day so that it will be good to eat only on the lord's sabbath i call it the double whammy you know you know god god is again teaching instructing guiding he is the provider yes trust me in everything because i provided everything for you and so that he's saying look not only am i a provider i will tell you how to go about doing what i want done yes so he's also the instructor the educator the teacher so he said okay i will supply your every need every day go out and gather it all right so when it comes now to the sabbath he said listen don't worry i want to spend this day with both of us together there are some things i want us to learn together and as you rightly said they still insisted that they must go to search for it and he said he told him how long how long are we going to continue to disobey me to disown me so that every friday evening they would gather twice as much yes because it will not stink it will not bring breed worms and it will stay over so that they could have enjoyed that communion with god every sabbath i think it is an important test that god has taken us through he's saying to us even in all modern times right our day-to-day activity while god is with us supplying our needs it is the day that we enjoy each day but there is that special time we want us to put aside all the activities of the day then during the week that is and come and spend this special day with me and it what you do is not going to stink yes it's not going to be a worm yes it is going to give glory to my name yes and so it is in our modern time god is also calling us to do the very thing and the experience is real it's real manner from heaven food from angels food and so that god blessed his people throughout the experience to helping us today to understand how important that experience that took place at creation and that first habit in creation how he expects us now to continue doing that special thing but pastor there's a point even about this what about our lives is is our lives are there things wrong in our lives are there things in our lives that that stink are there things in our lives that we need to remove that that that it's not right god is saying listen um i'm gonna spend some time with you and help you get these things out i want to come to you once a week and interact and have that relationship with you so that so that i can remove the things that are not good from your life i can change you and give you something better you know so to me i like that analogy as well that that god has shown even in the past that listen once i come into your life and we have that relationship then things will go better and i'm saying again god have continuously been coming and teaching and instructing and the people god's people have been drifting then christ he said look now i think i need to come myself okay i'm coming and because even after all the instructions and all the guidance and all the principles laid down right it seemed to me we're not getting it yet yeah we don't have it so god came himself walked the streets of this earth all right lived among his people and then there were many challenges he had in helping us how he expects of us to keep the sabbath day holy so how could we look at what some of the things that christ was saying to us that should happen or should not happen on this special day if you remember some of the experiences that christ went yes and and some of the things are this the bible notes then that jesus went to the synagogue and the bible but you know wait wait is it sometimes he went to the synagogue or or sometimes he went other places i think i heard somebody erase it as it's causing someone so yes every sabbath he went to the center of the synagogue so let's see what happened so then even even when he went to the synagogue it showed from his actions and his words the purpose of the sabbath there was blessing for others the bible clearly says that there were seven miracles that he performed on the sabbath right that he healed the people seven miracles that happened he healed people on the sabbath and also it shows that the lord of the sabbath he was very intimate with the sabbath and that he blessed others he helped he he made it his duty to show kindness and love to others on the sabbath so for me that's a principle of the sabbath as well that whatever we do and partaking should bring glory to his name it should be a blessing should help sustain and and be good to people in the world because i think i think somebody said the sabbath was made for the benefit of man okay yes so that whatever is to uplift to deliver to improve to inspire to make life better for the fellow man because of what sin has done to us is okay to be done on the sabbath oh okay so the sabbath must always provide a blessing to mankind so therefore should i go to work on the sabbath should i go to the grocery on the sabbath okay okay should i just okay your brother your neighbor house on fire and i'm well dressed to go to church yes then it is the sabbath [Laughter] yes i should not go on out help the neighbor with that fire because i am going to meet my holy god in the holy sanctuary yes on that holy day so you don't have time i don't have time i don't have time well well pastor i want to say this to me there are principles of sabbath keeping that's what i like to use principles so a principle of sabbath keeping is showing god's love and goodness to others so if you're on your way to church and and some person needs help and you can administer help in an emergency then i think it's important that you stop going to church and see about that emergency but isn't that good servant keeping according to what jesus said of course it is lawful to do to do good good on this disability and next thing as well is if you're not working hard the six days that you're supposed to work then i i'm not seeing this rest been a real rest for you so one of my principles of sabbat keeping is is doing working hard during six days of the week i'm allowed to work all right okay another thing is is this is that sharing the scriptures and testimony of the messiah and the sabbath is a good thing to me it is indeed this is why i am here this morning because i think it's important that i share jesus as well during his day as well so so so how could we let's see if we can get some principles that have been lined out as concerning what christ is trying to teach us about proposal keeping one he says there's a time to meet with me in worship all right so that he bring his family together he said come let us talk together it's a time to spend with god yes it's a day that god is not sharing with the secular activities yes six days you go to work put aside your secular work and come and spend a day with me i think he said something to that it is for the benefit of man yes the sabbath was intended for the uplifting of the human race he said it is lawful to do good things on the sabbath amen to help to lift to alleviate self-suffering and to help to heal to help to minister so it's a day of ministering yes where christ's name is always lifted up it's a day that is holy and it only takes a holy people to keep a holy day all right so if christ is not living inside you cannot keep the sabbath outside okay so it must be that transforming agent christ living inside of you controlling your life and then it is demonstrated by the life you live okay so i think these were the important principles that christ is saying that we ought to follow from day to day amen lesson is bringing out so beautifully all right the challenges that we face as seventh-day adventists okay the sabbath and what it means and therefore am i a true sabbath keeper or do i just come to church on a saturday okay am i following the principles as outlined by god in this holy word amen i think this is an important question the lesson is bringing not so vividly how we ought to keep a sabbath because this is the day that god is ordained it's the day that he says he's blessed it one sanctified it it's set aside for holy use and then he says it's a day to rest from all the secular labors where we can together enjoy the presence of god with each other so we can enjoy fellowship one with the other and with god amen well perhaps i think that we've discussed the main points yeah and i just want to say that and even as we go forward with life and history in the world it means that the sabbath will become a mean test in the future it is it is going to and it's something that will be put on on the pedestal and spotlight to those sabbath keepers so we as we keep this sabbath it's important that we understand these things so that we do things in the honor and glory of god yes so i think we we want to give god special thanks okay for having again reminding us yes of the sacredness of this important day and god has created that god has given to us a day of fellowship with him and therefore we want to thank him for the blessings that we have been providing today and for the rest of our journey as we look forward to spending eternity with him so at this time i think we can offer a word of spread of thanksgiving to god amen eternal god how thankful we are that you have given us this holy day this blessed day a day to spend with you where our lives can be untouched where our lives can be transformed and where we can be like you serving humanity helping them to a better understanding of your will so bless us today and teach us continuously to keep the sabbath day holy in jesus name
