Rehabilitating an old water well by "Air Lifting" - Vulcan, AB 2016

hi everyone its Bret from all's well filtration and pumping solutions based out of High River Alberta Canada we are just east of Vulcan here by a few miles we are out at this a location today to what we call airlift a water well we were out here about two months ago we did a pump test or drawdown test on this water well that you see behind me here it's an older well hasn't been used for quite a while it's two hundred fifteen feet deep we put our test reel and equipment down the well and we test roughly ten gallons a minute is what surfaces for a flow rate out of this well I ten gallons a minute we drew it down roughly seven feet and it stabilized that back at that level for for a two hour duration test we did a to our drawdown in half an hour recovery so within that test we found that there was lots of sediment the bottom felt really soft and there's also some suspect that some mice or some types of small critter animals might have have gone down in the well the customer runs a kind of a light commercial greenhouse operation here on this property and he also wanted just to kind of clean it up and stuff so we're gonna airlift it and then we're gonna do a shock chlorination to it and then the customer has purchased a pump through us and we'll be putting it back down into the well and then he'll look after the pump off and so forth and then go to using it the purpose of this would be of course to run water to his his greenhouse operation and supply water to his sprinkler systems and stuff like that in it so that's why we're out here today it's a beautiful day at 28 degrees you if you have any questions or anything you want to know for more about the air lifting or just water wells in general you can also reach us at chip at W dot all's well CA and you can submit to your messages through that process and we can answer them for you and stuff so again thanks for watching our videos and here we go well we'll take some video of course of the air lifting we'll go from there take care [Music] [Music] you
