Refilling a LPG/Butane bottle at a Petrol Station LPG gas Pump Safely

hi we've got a 47 kilo gas canister here which is empty it's empty you know because the tap is on and no gas is coming out okay I'm going to refill this at the petrol station people will say no you can't do that it's not safe you shouldn't do it blah blah blah well I've been doing it for 10 years now and generally I save 30% on the price of the gas that goes in there now first of all if you notice here the adapter or the tap is a European gas canister what I need for this is an adapter so I have this adapter okay this side goes onto the gas canister I'm sorry this side goes onto the gas canister and that's where the pump will go on - okay [Applause] let's screw this on when you're screwing anything on - gasps it's the opposite of the normal way so to screw on its anti-clockwise okay okay that's hand tight okay make sure I'm going to carry this in the car so I'm gonna make sure that it's off now let's go to the petrol station and fill up [Applause] okay here we are at the gas pump alright filling one of these things up the most important thing that you have to remember is you cannot fill it up 100% you can only fill it up 80% okay now if you look on the gas bottle you'll say how many kilos of gas it had two liters makes one kilo of gas all right so in here sixty-seven liters of there abouts is the maximum you can put into this bottle so every bottle tells you how much gas was put into it previously with the stamp and just follow that guideline I cannot stress how important it is never to fill one of these bottles more than 80% capacity the reason being is gas expands and if this bottle gets warm and it expands too much it will blow and if it blows that is a problem and that is why people are discouraged from filling these gas bottles up on their own right simple rule of the thumb 80 percent follow that that is thirty three point four kilos which gives me 67 liters of gas I can put it all right let's fill up the gas bowl [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] all right hold on [Applause] [Applause] there you go that's a simple refill of a gas cylinder thank you very much there you go 17.4 1 liters cost me 49 pounds and 22 pee [Applause] [Music]
