Red Dead Redemption 2 CRASH FIX Tutorial! (Crash to PC Desktop after 10-15 mins of playing)

so guys this is a quick tutorial to show you how i fixed red dead redemption 2 from crashing it kind of started today after 10 15 minutes of gameplay the game would just crash back to desktop every time reliably it's really annoying but there is a fix so what you need to do in order to fix this is go to start menu bring up your settings now i'm sorry this is in german but obviously this would just be called settings you go to your settings and you go to the apps tab once you open that you will have a little button here that's called optional features you can click it and in the optional features you can go to add feature up here and search for a feature and i've already done this it's called graphic tools okay so you would just go in here go to the bar you'd search for graphic tools and it would be in the list and you click on install make sure it's fully installed it's in the list you can see the date here i've installed it today now once you've done that you can close your settings again and just open your game once you've made it to the main menu of red dead redemption 2 you want to go down to settings down here and you want to go to graphics settings just here on the left now you're going to scroll all the way down and you will see that advanced graphics here are locked okay this is probably set to vulcan on on your screen but what you want to do then is unlock the advanced graphics settings and set this to directx 12. once you've done that you hit apply down here again obviously i've done that already and that fixes the issue once you've done these steps i mean my game didn't crash since then i've played for hours so the problem is fixed obviously you also need to make sure that your graphics card drivers and your windows all up to date it's all on the latest version and then you should be able to play the game let me know in the comments if this fixed your problem i hope it did and i hope you enjoy the game please don't forget to smash the like button i i would really appreciate that because that way we can help more people to get this problem fixed i appreciate your time take care and i'll see you next time i'm out bye
