I'm Jason Crabb and I'm so excited to be with Reba McEntire today thank you so very much for letting me be here at your home today you're very welcome I'm excited to be here with you too I want to say thank you for doing this record thank you for doing you you don't have to you didn't have to do a Christian record you didn't have to share that but you did tell me why Wow two guys my old manager Bill Carter he's not old but it was a long time when he was my manager look you know Bill and Bill came to me said I think it's time for you to do a gospel album Tony Brown who's been my one of my producers since 1990 he said I really think this would be a great time for you to do a gospel album so - guys I really love with all my heart and respect them I said it's it's time to do one and so I started looking for songs but I asked my little sister Suzy because she's been in the gospel business on those Bill Gaither mm-hmm and so I said what do you think about this you okay with me kind of getting stepping into your lane there she said oh you go after it you're gonna have such a good time they're great people and you're gonna love them she was right on all accounts and we started looking for songs and I was gonna do five great hymns and five new songs well we got the studio with Jay DeMarcus Doug Sizemore myself different times Jay produced some songs and then Doug and I did some and we kind of got carried away you know how that is recording and so what I said in there and I was looking at the hymnal they'll hymnal from the chocky church in chalky Oklahoma population 18 so I started that's where I grew up yeah started looking through the hymnal - oh I'll look that one right now oh that one well I had about 30 songs I wanted to record but the only one and ten five old five new so anyway we got in there and got carried away got we've got about 15 16 songs recorded so I handed them over to Jim weather soon and Bill Hearn and I said here you go y'all pick out which one you like don't like and then well well yeah and we'll get it down to ten and they came back and they said we can't do that and I said what do you mean you can't they said we like them all yeah so what we gonna do is they said well let's make a dual CD ten old ten new and I said we're going back to the studio voice and that was such a blessing because I went back in the in the studio and but I was looking for more songs and I was looking at my computer and I found back to God that Randy house oh what a great song had written back to God back in 2007 eight it was on Randy's freshman album yeah and I said this is a sign I've got to record this song oh I'm glad you do me too you do a great job thank you very much I love that also there's a song called save prayer which is a great and of course you do a lot I mean amazing grace can we do that one sure I got I brought my little guitar I see you brought that or my sound it's a nicely yeah but it doesn't have the right oh yes you will good but let's try let's see so I brought it and I figured out what key you did it yeah on the way over yeah yeah thank you yeah I don't it might be a little high for be but let's try okay Oh Maisie grace how sweet the sale that seed of rich like me I once was lost oh but now I was blind but now [Music] [Music] [Music] we know I didn't know well I make up a lot of words when I do sang-doo won't matter if they rhyme did you just kind of go with it everybody kind of follows along that's a good thing about Hume oh you know I would have never dreamed in a million years I'd have been in your home and gotta sing amazing grace wonderful I appreciate you playing it for me to make me get this angle it's not a huge play thank you again for letting his cover end today you're well thank you for letting go by anytime I'm huge fan thank you I was like soon as we pulled that Paschal oh I can't believe I'm getting to do this today and then your home is sold just so cozy even see nice thank you again for doing this cruise with this record was gospel record I needed it oh we did it you know I found out a lot of people said it really helped them and I hope it helped them as much as it helped me music is very healing but when you put the Lord in it and the love of Jesus nothing better ain't nothing
