all right just real quick guys we uploaded um Narnia as a special like hero tier exclusive but when we posted about it a lot of you guys were super bummed that we did post it on YouTube so I talked to the heroes I put up a poll they said it was okay so here we go we got an extra um you know YouTube reaction for uh The Chronicles of Narnia I'm Gonna Leave the full length reaction still on the hero to be watching um The Lion The Witch of the Wardrobe we have a obnoxious I think it's a treat he's probably not obnoxious they're probably lovely people but they just decided to trim Trace right now so I apologize if there's a little bit of background noise but welcome we're gonna be watching Narnia um you've read the book we've both read the book yeah um it's been ages I haven't watched the movie in years I don't even know once again this is one of those movies where I don't know if I was allowed to watch the whole movie I can't remember um but I'm actually really excited because I have like I have just like this happy feeling toward this movie it's like weird like in my channel I remember just like happiness around this movie I know that sounds really strange um so I'm kind of excited to watch this you guys voted for the hero tier so um yeah thank you guys just for being here thank you for for supporting us the way that you guys do every month um and let's just get into The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe all right I want to hear all about the book readers in the comments who read the books did you read all the Narnia books I used to have one of those DVD sets I remember I got it for like a competition at school or something interesting with all the audiobooks oh my gosh yeah I used to have one do you remember those little DVD players like the portable ones or CD players the headphones dude I used to have those oh my gosh oh yeah I'm gonna be honest I I'm not gonna remember a lot of stuff so I only remember like uh what's his name the lion guy Aslan yeah yeah and it was like the kids or something music in these movies are awesome well this is really cool why did this come out early 2000s mid-2000s that looks cool yeah this is really honors I just love the shots through the bottoms of the plate and stuff yeah I really like the aesthetic of this it's sort of like uh period oh yeah yeah when it's so dark bro that's so dangerous no oh my gosh is he going he said dad oh picture though shoot I mean I get it whoa that's a that's a sick shot bro why can't you just do as you're told I mean it's understandable I understand uh Peter yeah yeah also because he's he's almost acting like the the father yeah of course I forgot how young the kids were I there you hug what is Evan like 12. promise me you look after the others a real mom I mean this is rough I love this music dang that's cool that is really cool yeah I liked the cold open I like the music that's sick oh this is really cool I don't I don't know there's a certain feel yes now this is it I mean honestly a lot like the books because I feel like a lot of people compare like Lord of the Rings to Narnia and like Harry Potter this is a lot more of a kid so this is like PG I don't think it's PG-13 yeah yeah um I mean same with the books really at the same time I still like how they're dealing with like the war and like some some serious issues no yeah because um through a little bit of a kid's eye but yeah I mean it might be I feel like that's sometimes a lot of the source of of like some of these like fantasy movies you know yes yes yeah this is just beautiful that's a cool shot what is this they were the only people that stopped here oh [ __ ] out of the country great no we're going old school ladies and gentlemen I'm afraid so is this it then haven't you brought anything else no Mom what do you mean I mean this is kind of beautiful honestly no yeah look at this Countryside man there are a few rules we need to follow but like look at this house bro dang look at this place no one two three oh goodness let's go here we go let's try not to break everything this is cool come on bro hey there are so many good hiding places in this house I mean it's yeah it's pretty messy honestly it's gonna be impossible for him to fight them yeah oh you were so not and thrown dang this is a little horror movie it is it is kind of like a horror movie what oh that is a beautiful shot that is so cool better hop in there oh that's just mothballs yeah I feel like I you don't hear people talking about the filmmaking but like already so far watching this I feel like it's like uh this is a little underrated yeah like the cinematography and stuff is can you imagine huh now I don't remember in the comments is this is this the first book because it's not like the first in like in like the actual like storyline but isn't this is the first book that that C.S Lewis wrote right I like how the lighting on the door matches the room lighting yeah interesting I think it's kind of cool such place no I I love this type of feel like yes even just the image of the lamp post which I know they use in a lot of like everything yeah is so striking oh yeah yeah what are they called Ian a fawn fawn that's called something nice I'm pretty sure seder Fawn I think he's a fawn but she's Brave man I would have been like yeah I'm running through the closet again if you can tell me where we've seen this guy before I will oh there's no way right buy you dinner for like a week or something nowhere I can't get it all right you have to give me until the end of the movie I was just um I didn't things and I can't quite remember you know plot wise but sure sure they're not seems like they're you know something up with the humans and stuff like that yeah yeah I mean he reacted yeah like he reacted definitely and it wasn't just like shock well here we are I don't know maybe she wasn't supposed to be there go ahead go ahead no no I was just gonna say I love the set design and the look of it yeah even like like it seems like everything's just brighter even and how the soundtrack has totally changed to like only flute and yeah yeah no but yeah she seems very wary yes of like some kind of everything something it just seems sketchy although it's almost as if like she's worried that like someone's gonna know that there's a human right yeah I'm not very much like him at all really for Christmas now that is a nightmare yeah what are you talking about that is the only reason you have winter oh you uh no oh that's good because this probably won't sound anything like one foreign I love the instrument it's cool yeah I forgot it looks like one of those I found what they're called oh I didn't know it was it was based off of something real what did you put in the tea that's cool I like the feeling that this world is just like alive with magic yeah yeah I like the song too it's like he's like yeah he's like making her go to sleep oh bro what was that was that Aslan um thanks for that can always tell what it's like a player but yeah yeah it has a different sort of like a prose Lucy think she's found a Forest inside what was it like into a lunatic the forest geez I'm not saying you smell it sorry Lucy pevency whoa the effects are really good on the beaver I can't get gave to Mr Thomas he got it to me just before they took him uh uh probably not yeah we'll try the trees bro what as he went and trusted the White Witch so that's true I'm just saying Susan's got a point at least but it does seem like he's on tumnus's side this is super cool still plenty that though ain't quite finished it yet look for business when it is though still working on the backyard you know you and where are you sick his name's Bieber I yeah that might get confusing real quick yeah that's gonna be tough you're in a scenery are we not really hey maybe the beaver thing is like it's like all of them or be right you know how like husband and wife will call themselves like Mr and Mrs so it's like that they called about we'll defeat the White Witch and restore peace to Narnia once again no pressure because aslan's already figured out your army what I'm sent us away so we wouldn't get caught up in a war yeah we really have to go let me just leave we help Mr Thomas I mean I get how Lucy feels guilty because it's like yeah it's like it's her fault that they got arrested well you know who know I feel like he feels really Outcast from from The Sibling Group right and so there's all of that as well that's kind of been like building up okay whoa that is really cool that's a really cool sister's name Susan or something Susan yeah I do understand Susan though I do too I do too that's why I actually like the idea of these four characters because they do a really good job of representing the age and and like different kind of perspectives and different like you know like the different takes that all of us as an audience would have to something like this yeah and you could tell the different things that they're thinking about and responsibility you know and different kind of levels of maturity if you like or even just in different fields you know what I mean this is such a cool design whoa bro or you'll never move again my apologies fortunate favorite of the queen dude they're doing the talking pretty darn good for I think this is like 2008 or 2010. this is the true story of Elsa that's what happened to her sorry but like dude look at that there's smoke coming off the ground and even as an evil Tyrant why would you want to live here like it's so boring it's people did that and I know that's why I'm saying it's hardcore this is beautiful whoa the gear looking really fine aesthetic it's so cool the Arbor's super cool and how everything has the lion of Aslan on it like like that's cool yeah and just the the yeah and the gold lining or something I don't know it looks really cool it's just fantasy enough but also just real enough because you guys are funny okay Lucy roasting we have come to see Aslan how do you know he's like bro you're holding that wrong whoa that's cool uh guys dang Aslan looking epic I was gonna say welcome Peter son of Adam welcome Susan and Lucy of course Liam Neeson is God my brother's been captured by the White Witch how could this happen he betrayed them your majesty and he has betrayed us all peace no I'm sure it's not as you know I know I think it gets a little bit teased for like it's it's kind of obvious allegories but I actually think it's I actually think it's more subtle than people give it credit oh snap okay that's kind of Epic he just leveled up that's cool even just this like the coloring of the camps are completely different oh what the dude you're attacking already I don't think we should huh dang you guys got destroyed dang we have work to do I like the Practical effects of some of the creatures too yeah that's cool yeah and the special effects are really nice yeah for the time period I feel like they're very they're they hold up now even yeah yeah I know for sure hmm [Music] around a little bit what's done is done there is no need to speak to Edmund about what has passed that's cool that's cool that Lucy forgives him first get some sleep and Edmond try not to wander off that's really cool I'm sure they'll pack something up for the journey back we're going home wait what you are I promise Mom I'd keep you through safe but it doesn't mean I can't stay behind and help yeah I don't know bro yeah because it's in the process it is you need to help each other out I almost drowned Edmond was always killed is why we have to stay yeah because whenever we were separated we did not do well let me leave these people oh yeah that's actually cool she actually has from the little I know about archery good form which they don't always get in movies what um passive skills coming into effect oh dude just the passive unicorn reveal oh wait what that's sick I do like how about whether you want to give him up or not it's this is just what will be yeah yeah she has renounced her claim on the son of Adam's blood how do I know your promise will be kept whoa [Applause] he has to keep the promise right because they were talking about how the land would be yeah destroyed so that was a dumb question I just like how like how everybody almost like passes over it so for Lucy both being bad couldn't we come with you I would be glad of the company for a while thank you it's cool how like Majestic aslan's character kind of is but also like also like a little it doesn't seem like completely like out of this world feel you know what I'm saying like no no like distant he doesn't feel like distant I must go also I love the the animation on his hair I I feel like it's it's actually on another level because a lot of times we'll just do like a it looks more real the way that it frays and it I don't know yeah it depends on what type of program they're kind of like using it just looks a lot better than even even more modern animal things that I've seen dang this is freaky what the heck this is kind of Epic oh dang it's so brutal you have to bind him because like I mean I feel like that that shows that they're still scared yeah that's true like I was literally thinking that dang oh geez the amount of emotion and everything that they're they're they're doing really well with like the lighting and stuff yes and and he looks so much like a cat but also so so human oh dude it's like a cult [Music] I love these creature designs I think I literally was never able to watch are really cool you can get moves just green Susan the gentle King Peter the Magnificent oh yeah this is beautiful look at this this is so cool every scene is just cool I know it's like all of these set pieces are incredible good luck [Laughter] oh hey it's the uh it's a post it's familiar dang that thing is dude oh yeah you are what are you all doing in the wardrobe um you wouldn't believe us if we told you sir that's right yeah can you imagine if you lived an entire life in another world like I feel like that would be so weird I don't think you'll get back in that way I've already tried will we ever go back no I expect so it'll probably have a winner not looking forward just to keep your eyes open what do you think that's really good wasn't that I thought it was a great movie I thought it was really enjoyable yeah I think they did fairly well with like having the you know cram and everything into like a was it a two-hour hour movie yeah yeah something like that yeah it's really well done yeah I I really enjoyed the um you know I think all the cast was really really good yeah good people for him uh I thought the world is just cool the way they did all the world I thought was really well done yeah the music the music was really it felt um you know it probably isn't completely like unique or anything like that but for some reason it just felt different it felt very unique it had only it had an actual like magical I know that sounds super cheesy but it had like a magical yeah yeah yeah no for sure I think so too like just the the way that the vocals kind of came in and stuff at times it it was really cool um yeah and then you know I don't know how how uh what do you call it honest it is to the to the book I'm pretty sure this one is very accurate to the book okay to my to my recollection I remember it being like like a oh close to one to one I mean as close as you're gonna get between a movie and a book of course yeah yeah without you being like so long no yeah yeah um but no that's cool if they if that was the case that's that's really it's you know I like when you know movie adaptations stick fairly close to the uh original Works no I agree I agree it makes me appreciate it because you're not here you don't get a ton of that yeah a lot of times they yeah it's just not a bad thing when you know they try to do their own thing but I also appreciate when they uh stick to the original work yeah no I completely agree yeah and then of course uh freaking you know the aesthetic was oh it was beautiful very good it was beautiful yeah at least just for my personal taste like I I freaking love the aesthetic all the freaking um places that they were in like the different types of landscape that they chose you know for like almost like every single scene I was like wow this looks really really nice but it perfectly matched I feel like the vibe of the boobies which is like like it was its own thing it wasn't derivative of like any other fantasy and it was maybe even a little bit less realistic like it wasn't like super real looking armor always but it worked they could somebody had like a really good vision and I feel like it worked with what Narnia was which is like it is a little bit more children oriented a little bit more fantasy um but it works really well yeah well I'm not gonna lie even realistically like I think they did well with like you know weapons and even that's true that's true you know even compared to like other that is true yeah other fantasies like I I think they they did a fairly good job you know um you know even I I don't really know just a small thing but like you know having uh Peter with the shield if he did have plate armor he probably wouldn't have the shield but like you know just little things like that because he had male prop possibly you know yeah you know like just little things like that like I feel you know probably you know I could be wrong but you know someone probably behind the scenes was like oh no let's think about it or something like that I think if I'm not wrong it's been a long time since I've read the book I'm pretty sure Lewis goes into fairly good detail about what they're wearing in the armor and because I remember in general Narnia really having like a lot of historical basis in that the way that they would meet for treaties and the way that the camps were set up in a way so it's very like kind of inspired by real medieval chivalry and and kind of the way that those things went about and the camps and the squires and the I don't know okay then yeah yeah no getting credit to C.S Lewis you know for all right because he has a lot more nights and stuff than like for example Lord of the Rings was like oh there's all just like Warriors and stuff this is a lot more uh I guess historically based or inspired anybody no that that's that's very interesting that's cool but you know credit to both for no yeah um yeah I think it's just a total blast yeah um so
