Conquerors haki is EASILY THE MOST
HYPED power in all of One Piece, leaving a major impact every time
someone uses it. So I went through every single scene it appears to rank the 13 best
conquerors haki moments in the entire story! And how can I start anywhere but with the
OG conquerors haki user, Red Hair Shanks, who gives us the very first use of
demonstration of this power all the way back in chapter 1. With Luffy helplessly
drowning in the sea, Shanks swoops in, sacrifices his arm to this giant sea monster,
and then scares away that sea king with this killer blast of intimidating willpower. Wow, what
a start to the story. And for me personally, this was the moment that really captured me and made
me super excited to continue reading one piece. However, while this moment is an
incredibly iconic start to the series, we actually didn’t fully understand that Shanks
was using conquerors haki until much much later on. That’s because haki in general remained
a mystery until about 600 chapters later, but now looking back we can clearly understand
that Shanks is one of only eighteen confirmed conqueror’s haki users in the entire story and
he used his dominant will to save child Luffy. What you may not remember though is that Shanks’
heroics were not the only time that child Luffy was saved from certain death by a conquerors
haki user. That’s because during his childhood flashback in chapter 587, Luffy and Ace were
trying to escape this burning trash mountain when they were cornered by these thugs. With
Luffy knocked down and about to be stabbed, Ace unleashed his conquerors haki for the first
time and knocked out these weak willed pirates, which gave the boys time for help to arrive. And this moment really hits you right
in the gut because this flashback came right after Marineford, where Luffy
unlocked his own conquerors haki while trying to save Ace from execution.
Unfortunately, Luffy failed and Ace died, which made this moment from their
childhood even more bittersweet. But while Luffy was too weak to keep
Ace from dying after the time skip, he showed off just how much he had grown after his
brother’s heart-breaking death. Because in chapter 634 he knocked out fifty thousand enemy fishman
with a casual burst of conquerors haki, showing the world that he was back. And okay, okay THIS
was the moment that truly got me excited for the post time skip. Because while the Fishman island
arc by itself was not always super interesting, seeing Luffy show off his incredible new
powers definitely gave me the chills. It was truly an impressive display of power, but
not even close to the power level of the next epic moment in this ranking. And that’s because next is
the sky splitting clash of two Yonko, Big Mom and Kaido. During the Wano arc, Big Mom chased Luffy
to the land of samurai but was eventually captured by her former longtime rival. Due to their bitter
past, these two Yonko fought and showed off their tremendous powers by splitting the clouds with
their conquerors haki infused attacks. Since this is the first example of splitting the sky on this
list, let me remind you that this incredibly epic display happens when two super powerful conquerors
haki users clash and their combined willpower is SO strong that it separates the clouds above. But
no matter how impressive this particular show of power was, it was nowhere near as impactful
as the number one moment on this list. And while an event like splitting the sky happens
only a few times in the story, the next conquerors haki moment in this ranking is an even rarer
ability. And that is Luffy taming animals with his conquerors haki spirit. Now this ability is never
fully explained, but basically conquerors haki can be used on animals just the same as humans,
just like Shanks did in chapter 1. But what is even more impressive is how Luffy doesn’t just
scare the animals away. He can actually tame them so that they become his friends. A few examples of
this are when he tames the wild beasts on Ruskaina during the time skip and when he made friends
with this giant baboon upon first landing in Wano. What’s even more impressive though is when
Doflamingo saves his entire family from an angry mob. All of this occurred because
his family, who were celestial dragons, came down to live with normal people.
Probably not such a good idea… Of course, the normal people hate the celestial dragons,
so they strung up Doflamingo and his family. So with young Doffy about to die, he let out a
burst of conquerors haki that knocked out all of the cruel citizens and allowed his family to
escape. Which is pretty damn impressive for a kid, and this moment cemented Doflamingo as one of
the coolest characters in the entire story. However, this unfortunately
didn’t have a happy ending, because Doffy would later go on to kill his
own father and brother. Which just goes to show that not all conquerors
have a kind spirit like Luffy. Now you won’t believe that what’s even more
awe-inspiring is a moment that demonstrated an incredibly honorable clash of conquerors. During
the whole cake island arc, Luffy’s final showdown was against BIg Mom’s strongest son, Katakuri.
And at the beginning of this fight, Katakuri did not respect AT ALL. Like seriously. This mochi
man insulted him left and right and said there was no way Luffy could defeat him. But as the
fight continued for literally hours, Luffy’s determination eventually impressed Katakuri.
Which led to this epic moment when their fight was interfered with by Katakuri’s sneaky sister, who
stunned Luffy with a poisoned needle. This allowed Katakuri to stab Luffy with his vicious trident,
which nearly killed the straw hat captain. Fortunately though, this wasn’t the end of the
fight. Because once Katakuri figured out why Luffy got distracted, he got so furious that he
literally stabbed himself to match Luffy’s wound, and then together, the two unleashed their
conquerors haki to knock out Flampe – who by the way is one of the most annoying characters in the
entire story, so good radiance which allowed the two to continue their honorable duel. And if this
moment showed Katakuri that Luffy was a worthy opponent, then just wait for the number one moment
which completely changed the course of the story. But if the end of Luffy versus Katakuri
didn’t have you jumping out of your seat, then this next moment surely will. Because
now we have one of the earliest, clearest demonstrations of overpowering conquerors haki
with Rayleigh’s awesome display in the auction house on Sabaody. And this all happened right
after Luffy just punched the snot out of this celestial dragon and now chaos was about to break
loose with marines, admirals, and cyborgs coming down on the straw hats. However, Rayleigh casually
emerged from the slave cages and let out a burst of controlled conquerors haki which knocked out
all of the enemies but left the straw hats and other allies just fine. And while we still didn’t
exactly know what this power was at the time, it is a really clear example of what the conquerors
haki does and how much control a skilled user has. Plus what a way to introduce one of the coolest
characters in the series. Because just after this we were about to get dumped on with A TON of
new information about the former pirate king. So this was the perfect way to make us incredibly
hyped for the character who would turn out to be an invaluable ally for Luffy going forward. And
you can be the same kind of ally by unleashing your supreme king’s haki and subscribing to the
channel for more one piece content just like this. Which means that Rayleigh’s super exciting
introduction finally brings us to the top five best conquerors haki moments in One Piece.
And while Rayleigh demonstrated incredible control with his conquerors haki, this next
one is just pure power. That’s because when Luffy and Kaido clashed in their epic
rooftop battle, Luffy finally achieved the legendary feat of splitting the skies.
After more than 1000 chapters and episodes, this was the moment that marked Luffy’s
rise to the top tier of one piece fighters. But it certainly wasn’t an easy feat. In fact,
part of me was thinking there was no way Luffy could beat Kaido on his own. Because Luffy had
already been defeated by Kaido twice. But then of course he learned advanced conquerors
haki and this new ability allowed him to finally fight toe to toe with the king of
the beasts. And if there was ever any doubt, this moment perfectly showed us why
Luffy will eventually become King of the Pirates. Because even after being knocked
down, smashed, and thrown in the ocean, Luffy’s unbreakable conquerors spirit
always brings him back to the top. Man, I love one piece. Though as impressive as this moment was,
it could never live up to the sheer impact of this next one on the list. And this is the
legendary clash of the two mythical mustaches: Roger and Whitebeard’s titanic clash that split
the sky. This occurred during the Oden and Roger flashback, when Whitebeard's crew encountered
Roger’s on some random island. And these two rival crews instantly shift into battle mode. But
while Oden could not hang with Roger, Whitebeard stepped up and these two unleashed attacks
with such overwhelming conquerors haki power that their supremely powerful blades did not even
touch. And with black lightning flying everywhere, the skies opened and the entire island shook
under the force of these two monstrous figures. Truly, this was a moment worthy of the incredible
hype of two of the strongest pirates ever. Now this next one might earn me more disagreement
in the comments, but keep your fingers quiet until I can explain. That’s because at number three
we have Zoro awakening his advanced conquerors to defeat Kaido’s right hand man, King. And you
might be thinking this moment isn’t as nearly as impressive as some of the others on this list,
but for me it is basically a climactic moment for Zoro’s whole journey. Because as he is struggling
to master the ridiculously demonic blade Enma, and even more so having a tough time
fighting against the godly figure of King, something finally clicks for Zoro. He
realizes that Enma has been testing him during the entire raid on Onigashima, and now
he feels in complete control of its powers. So with his conquerors haki flaring, he delivers
one last final blow to the dark angle and ends the contest with a victory. And just like Luffy
announced himself by splitting the skies against Kaido, to me this is Zoro’s moment to say that
he can stand at his captain's right hand and take on anyone who challenges the straw hat crew.
Plus it looks incredibly amazing in the anime, so how can you not be impressed by
this awesome conquerors haki feat. Then onto the top two. Which ones do you think
made it at the top of the best conquerors haki moments in the entire story? For me, we are going
to turn all the way back to right after Enies Lobby, when Shanks comes aboard Whitebeard’s
ship to deliver a warning about chasing down Blackbeard. And with Shanks just walking on
the ship. my body already started to get all tingly. I just knew something amazing was about
to happen. And of course I was not disappointed. With his overwhelming conqueror haki knocking out
the weaker members onboard, Shanks and Whitebeard start to talk. But the older pirate won’t agree to
Shanks’ demands and they eventually come to blows. Just like many others on this ranking, this clash
of top-tier conquerors haki users splits the sky, but this one is special because it was the
very first time in the story. And truly this was the first moment in the story that we HAD
EVER SEEN some of the strongest fighters fight and show off their strength. Of course we’d
seen Luffy take down many opponents, but these two are way beyond what Luffy could do at this
time, so to actually see these massive powerhouses in action gave us a glimpse of the amazing
powers that we would discover along the way. Which of course brings us to the most incredible,
impactful, and tear-jerking conquerors haki moment in the entire story. The blades are coming down
on Ace’s neck. Luffy is struggling to reach him, but he is trapped by tons of marines. Even
Whitebeard is having a literal heart attack and can’t do anything. So a desperate Luffy
awakens his true conquerors haki and unleashes an overwhelming blast that sweeps over the
entire battlefield, which of course knocks out countless fighters, and most importantly,
the executioners who were about to kill Ace. I mean could anything else be
at the top of this list? Now, was it the single most powerful
display of conquerors in the story. Probably not. But did it leave me screaming and
crying all at the same time. Absolutely. I mean, when I first watched this I was thinking “how
is Luffy ever going to impact this fight when he is so weak?” But then this iconic moment
happened, and I was completely shocked. Not only did Luffy manage to save his brother, but he also
knocked out a ton of marines PLUS all of the top tier fighters were absolutely stunned by Luffy’s
display of raw power. What an incredible moment, with Luffy saving his brother, just like
Ace had done for him when they were kids. And while Luffy just awakened his conquerors
haki, what is truly incredible is there were actually seven other confirmed conquerors haki
users at the war at Marineford, plus two of the strongest blades in the entire story. Those belong
to Mihawk’s - who by the way also probably has conquerors haki - with his massive sword Yoru,
and the other is Whitebeard’s Murakumogiri. So in order to find out which of these
insane weapons is stronger and why I ranked the thirteen strongest swords in
One piece, which you can watch right here. Shanks for watching, and
I’ll see you in the next one.
