Quacked Game on Steam Deck sends you to Steam Store? Here's the fix!

hey guys i'm jd ross and this is just a follow-up video regarding my video about installing crack games so what is this about there are correct games that when you try to play them instead of the game launching what's happening is the game sends you to the store asking you to purchase it okay that's the problem that we're gonna solve right now i'm gonna show you how to fix that the first step is try to open the game when this happens and the purchase button appears you go to settings properties updates and then take note of this the app id for ghostwire tokyo it's one four seven five eight one zero you need to take note of that number so the next step is going to desktop mode [Music] okay now we are on desktop mode go to discover [Music] and search for text editor [Music] and then install this one the first one install that okay when it's installed find the installation directory of your game i don't know what game you installed i don't know where you installed it just go ahead and find it since you're the one who installed so you probably know that in my case this is where it goes where tokyo is installed what you're going to do is open the main directory of the game and then right click create new text file name the text file steam underscore appid.txt okay now right click open with text editor [Music] type here the app id of the game that you are trying to launch in my case it's ghostwiretokyo and up id71475810 [Music] okay and then go ahead and save that [Music] there we go [Music] now if you want all text files to open with text editor instead of vim because vim is kind of hard to use to be honest go to properties change and then remove vim here do that now every time we try to open a text file text editor opens automatically see it just opens okay let's get back to the tutorial [Music] let's go back to gaming mode [Music] and then let's try to launch it now it should launch the game now [Music] there you go that's our tutorial on how to fix that weird error when installing crap games if you have any questions or requests just comment down below make sure to like and subscribe if you haven't and see you on the next video
