Pro tool - diagnose, measure real capacity, revive, charge and discharge laptop batteries

hello so we're back Wednesday and this is a very special video yeah I just found a gold mine so actually I'm a software we can diagnose repair a laptop battery it is a gold mine yeah so what we are you reviewing today is not a blind review so I did test the the tool and I can confirm that tool it's a pro tool and it's fantastic right now on the market it's only one yeah one more so we have two tools what the batteries but the other one is like all like 10 years old and it's not even close to what this is the I am saying it's a gold mine it's it's hard to understand but if you have a computer shop you probably you'll understand yeah let me show you let me show you just to make my point here so look here yeah so these are old batteries whole batteries and this is nothing we have like three big buckets full of batteries yeah let's just get three batteries random and try to check this tool okay now let me explain you why this is gold this is the Holy Grail yeah the first we have so many problems with a battery selling the batteries you saw the battery mostly order the battery sell the battery the customer come back two weeks later you know what I remember my laptop was holding the charge when I bought it like for day like four hours and I was keeping only I'm not happy I want my money back and there's no way how you can prove you know actually the battery is good because you don't know so you have to check the battery to see exactly the capacity of the battery to maintain your point and show the customer look the cup the battery has the capacity which is yeah you understand so you need this tool and it's fantastic cheap you know even if the price will be double I was still buy it so let's go first one year ago when I made a video about how we can we can bring back to life are not detected battery yeah let me see let me see how we was doing this before not diagnosed or testing because you can't see without tool let's try to see you remember this video with the you have the charger you have the connectors yeah I will speak about the connectors later you have this this I think that's all now to diagnose the battery to read the information you need like four wires plus/minus clock and data simple if you see these wires these are for the internal batteries the new ones yeah and you see ara they have a lot of wires actually it are not so many because of the new batteries the internal one you have three fires four plus three four - which they are coming together okay so I'll leave this on one side and that gets constant concentrated on this only on doing this they repair okay so actually read the battery configuration the cell configuration you have to check the wrong cells which is fantastic and you have wake up the battery in the case this this is another battery which has no brand name this is another battery which police are replacing my I don't know what batteries is no saying the brand anyway we have three batteries what we'll do connect the wires on this butter is saying plus and minus usually on all the batteries the plus and minus are on the sides okay so I'll connect one wire - I'm sure I like to plus usually is like 2+2 - or you can have three plus in three - so - plus I don't want to connect to - even if I have to equate only one - then one plus it does on the end of the I look the nice part when you connected you see that LED so if you connect the wire the right plus and minus you can see the power coming out from the battery yeah so plus and minus and what do we have left we have data and clock but the go further you have ocean I will cycle calibrate you'll understand this function later which is nice because you can calibrate the battery yeah calibration meaning you can rewrite or reload actually the state of the cells to the internal memory of the battery the memory has a controller with a microcontroller with memory and it it's storing the values of the batteries it's wait few more second you'll understand I didn't understand and I called him and he explained me so next to our repair yeah one day repair read battery configuration the battery has four cells okay so the next step I'll be lower and that's the thing so actually the reality is here that's the reality so that's what you have to check if you want to know what what's going on in a battery if the battery is used like every day yes so probably this would be very accurate yeah but not on this case so probably this battery was not used a long time because you can see this the last time when this but it was used was good but not now now the cells are bad and the software is figured out is bad based on the internal resistance of the battery which on this case is 146 millions it's not great it's you know this is thing is this power on apply output voltage in the case when you have battery which are not detected so in that case and I didn't ask ask him you know your your device is repairing that kind of battery and he said yes he he he repaired a lot of the batteries actually the cell voltage goes so low and the battery saying on the laptop like battery is not detected or Ickes yeah on that case you have to power on and apply some voltage just to make that ship readable so you can read it obviously yeah if the cell is completely dead the memory will get erased and the chip will get locked yeah you know that story you know the story with the battery switch completely completely empty battery the memory will get erased okay so it's not simple you have four wires are four wires that's all I told you this is a gold mine I think I see the cell voltage of each so that's oil for but this you know that even this is not it's not accurate because this this is what was memorized on the chip or know any battery so look on this one the cycle count one you can see the cycle count 1 restating the state in that data design capacity 8.8 amps yeah read capacity nearly empty compute health is full hell yeah so that's was the last time when this battery was used like I'm gonna probably once by the manufacture because the cycle count is 1 by again let's go on that one the last one repair and see what the sellers are saying this is the most important thing so first read the battery configuration here so the battery has free cells yeah and now check the wrong cells let's see what he's saying so what do you think so the cells are good green good so do you see this is the case when actually the battery it is new and it is good what you can do you can charge the battery with the batteries just a little bit charged or you can do it you can charge the battery it's nice and you can see here how he's pumping the current inside of the bacterial here one point nine two amps 2.1 2.2 you can see how the current is going up two point five that is going with what I set up I set up three amps so now the battery is charging with three amps you see the voltage is going up a little bit it's nice it's just nice also I can zoom okay okay Goten now so what I didn't said if you use out of cycle or calibrate you can use this on that case when actually you charge the battery saying like two hours and it's getting discharged in half an hour if you press cycle or start calibration not discharging a charging cycle it will refresh the data on the memory chip of the battery so like how you can see we have a brand new battery here and it is good we can leave it a little bit on charge to see if it's going up on any computer shop I'm sure you will have like you know you have like tons of batteries and you are stuck with them you can't sell them because you don't know if they are good or not and even if they are bad actually you have you can take probably and recover some cells so just deal good.you nice to see the current curve so let's wait a little bit of charge and see if is changing on the on the first screen so I will say this is a must-have tool on any computer show because you have you have we have you'll have cases when when actually are charged battery can help you to diagnose a problem you know maybe your laptop is that I plug the charger in is that maybe it's working by the battery and on that case you know you have an input circuit problem without even opening the laptop but maybe you have a case like you know you have a battery and say the customer is know is he saying okay no holding the charge you can check the back it'll say look about charger five of check your battery it's a tool which you will bring in more money that's that's no question about they're not precise be precise you have to charge on this charge the battery 30% state of charge 40 percent of charging read the capacity guess this green yeah nice it is nice okay let's check change the battery let's check this one I don't know what the button is this but maybe the software will tell us what the battery it is less clear the fingy yeah start reading so again you have - we have class we have the data pins which I don't know which it is it's not this it's not this I is this straight away so you can see is the reading of the data cycle comes zero okay so this is a new one so this is a new battery the read static data for amps battery manufactured a 2080 read the capacity 37% charge compute health 100% yeah this is a new battery okay that's that's great so let's go on my favorite part repair read battery configuration and we have four cells check wrong cells okay the battery does not does not allow discharging yeah some batteries they have one pin one pin which is activating the battery okay you see on this case the device cannot test the cells so what I will do I'll take that there are other black wires and I think so the first way are are - the third one the third one all connected to ground to another black wire let's try again check wrong cells the schwag a and that dub pin if it's connected up in if you connect the pin to ground it will activate the battery can activate discharging yes look on this one so all the cells are bad so this is a brand new battery was not used and it's not good you can see it's reading the the finger yes yeah I give me one second you sorry so you can see another case when actually in the battery enforcing cycle count zero that's the capacity and the health is saying a hundred percent actually the cells are not good and I will use this tool even if when I buy new batteries yeah see this is fantastic so you know from before if this battery has to go the customer or has to go back to the seller yeah I don't understand how we live before without this tool it's fantastic fantastic so all the pain is gone okay so that's how you check the batteries I will test them this battery is not good this is a brand new battery but the cells you can see the internal resistance is phase you know you can connect the load and based off the current and the voltage drop you can figure out the internal resistance obviously high internal resistance it's a bad cell it's nothing to do it's nothing what you can do probably try and cycle or charge this charge but I don't know if this will come back to life okay so I will stop this video you can buy PayPal you can the price is a hundred seventy nine pounds which is fantastic it's it's it's cheap from my point of view from what I seen with this tool this is a cheap thing you know a hundred seventy nine pounds for a computer shop means absolutely nothing nothing okay it's good I think it is it's it's I have nothing to do with them I'm not charging anything for advertised but this
