pretending i'm in a vogue beauty secrets video

[Music] hi folk hello welcome to my beauty secrets video here on the Vogue Channel my name is Leah Holton okay no but seriously so today I am doing a little vague inspired makeup tutorial I just moved houses so I thought at least we're in your bathroom to do like a little Vogue moment but I am not gonna lie you guys I did this trend like a year ago and I felt so good about it because I came up with it and then other people started doing it but that's fine it's a fun Trend to do and it's a way to feel pure and special let's get into being beautiful all right so to become my best celebrity self I am going to face mask first and foremost because I feel like in these Burke Beauty secret videos they all like to start with some skincare and as you can tell breakout Galore I don't know what happens and I'm so mad because my skin is like amazing for one day and then something happens and then for about four days it's bad but then the fifth day I'll have that like one good day of skin and I don't understand and I don't know what I'm doing wrong but anyways today I'm going to be doing a glamorous face mask to be honest I actually don't understand when these celebrities are doing face masks before their makeup but you know it must be working they must be doing something right so I am taking this press free fresh zit sticker I don't know but this is the little face mask and I'm not even lying I swear by this I have used this face mask maybe three times and I use it at night time the next morning like I wake up and my skin is great this is like my second last one so I'm really upset to be getting rid of it but I'm gonna put this mask on and it looks really bougie okay so now I've put this on I'm going to let this sit for like 20 minutes I'm going to go do some Posh things like I don't know what Posh people do but anyways I'll be back in 20 minutes for me in like a second for you I'm back it's actually been like an hour oh my God I'm gonna be taking this off Oh see it's like instant glow so now that I have done my first step into my beauty secrets look I'm going to be moving on to makeup because basically if I'm not going to dedicate this whole beauty secrets to doing skincare when makeup is the best fit okay so let's start by priming my face I'm going to be using the Charlotte Tilbury Wonder glue and I'm literally going to blend this in with my fingers because that's what all of the celebrities like to do and I want to go for like a really natural look today naturally gorgeous naturally gold gorgeous going very minimal today I'm using a little brow setup no eyebrow product so now I'm going to add a teeny tiny little bit of coverage to my acne prone skin because we have to be natural I'm going to add some color drops just to give us some a blur tan I'm going to be putting on some of this oh barley body baby cream and just mixing all of this together on my face The Barley body like baby cream as you can tell it's like not very coveraging at all however I feel like it does make the consistency of my skin the same shade I don't know how else to say that okay oh that was a really bad idea to put the mask on I don't know if you can see it looks like little boogers so now I'm going to cream Contour with this Fenty beauty cream Contour I've never used this because now's the time I'm going to go in with this Napoleon produce brush oh that's so pigmented and I did not take that much oh my goodness gracious and now I'm going to highlight the brightest parts of my face okay and then to blend I'm just putting it all in again and you know what I feel like breakouts are so normal I feel like I talk about my skin in every video and now like I always freaking have these annoying pimples that stick around but the more and more I have them the more I realize how normal it is and it doesn't actually take away from your beauty I think it's time we Embrace The Pimps wait a minute the pimples the pimpy pimples okay so now that my skin is looking more even and glowy I'm going to be adding some of this Nars liquid blush just one pump is enough and I have learned that from many bad experiences where I have definitely over blushed I'm going to rub this in between my two fingers are just see even one pump was like oh but you know as the old saying goes there's actually no old saying it's just a saying that I like to follow no amount of blush is enough blush and I can't believe the days in 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 where I never owned a blush didn't know how to use a blush and would not wear blush so I personally think a lot of blush is better than no blush these days I feel like it really melts into your skin throughout the day this next product I swear by I bought this when I was in LA and I have been using this ever since every other powder is out the window for me this is great for setting this is great for baking and I hate baking well I used to love it but now I love it again so this is the Givenchy pink powder I just wore quite a bit of it because I'm gonna use it again later into the lid like this and then I just press it into my face everywhere and instead of giving me like a really cakey finish like other powders would a like thick finish it's very thin and like velvet fine I feel like it makes my skin look like a velvet okay I'm now going to bronze with the Nars bronzer in the shade Laguna and I'm just kind of going over everything and before I Contour my nasal cavity I'm going to blush first so my kind of routine of what I like to do is I bronze then I blush then I go in with a fine brush and Contour so I have been absolutely slimming for this blush this is with your backstage blush in the shade Rosy Glow it does look very intense and hot pink I'm obsessed with like the cool pink glow I'm just really blushing I'm kind of going for the scarecrow makeup look like the really intense blush and then with the excess I'm just brushing it over my eyelids and kind of blending it into everything okay so now that I've blushed to the maximum capacity I'm going back in with my bronzer and this little brush to Contour my nasal cavity and then with this brush I know it's not Blended don't stress but with this brush I'm going to kind of just start to create some Shadows here I know I look crazy but before I set anything I'm going to go in with this cream highlight off just because I know I'm really going for the glowy look so I'm going to start with a brush and put that on my inner eye Corners just to prepare myself okay I'm putting it on my finger it's very subtle but really pretty okay and then on top of that I'm going to go in with this little macca cosmetica highlighter which is so good I'm just putting this on to be extra glowy and because naturally in the summer I do have freckles I am cheating a bit now but you can kind of see them they haven't popped through properly yet but I am going to make some fake freckles some faux freckles by dipping the tip of this little eyebrow pencil into all of the different shades in my squat bronze palette and just like really naturally putting them on I don't want to grow like hectic I know that looks crazy I haven't Blended them in yet I will but first i'm going to set my face and do a bit of it baking I like to bake on top of of the freckles that I draw so this is the veil soft focus setting spray and then here is where that leftover Givenchy powder really comes in handy so I take like more of a precise brush and I like to reverse Contour with this so I just go in the places that I want to highlight such as under my contouring on my jaw and next to my nose Okay so as I'm doing my eyes and the rest of my makeup I'm going to let that set in place so I'm going to be using the not a box of chocolates from color pop and I'm just going to do like a really natural frenzy eye I'm going to start with the shade praline and then with the shade I'm a red just kind of to find the outer Corners like that these two shades are also really pretty I'm gonna mix them a little bit the shades champagne truffle and honeycomb crunch oh very pigmented and I'm just going to kind of put them on my lid just a tiny bit this is becoming less and less natural and more and more soft clam now I'm going to to do a little wing My kiwisd Vegan Beauty touch your eyeliner in the shade Mad Max Brown and I'm going to do a little and I can't Wing just a tiny one like so I'm going to copy on this eye I might have to go and do it in this way because I'm struggling today okay and now that I've completed my wings I'm going to be putting on my muscular this is my roller lash mascara by benefit I use this one first I go over the top with my butter than sexual activity mascara I'm just going to leather my lashes look at the difference cute basic oh okay so now I'm just passing all of the powder into my face before I get started on my lips which is the last step but see how much of a difference like doing eye makeup it just changes everything so now I will be lining my lips with a trusty Dusty Charlotte Tilbury the planner in the shade I couldn't tell you because it's run out and I'm really defining my lines with my Mac lip liner in the shade strip down and now I will be adding a little bit of my Huda booty lipstick in the shade and press just to give my lips some highlight effect on and to top it all off I am finishing with the Dior lip maximizer hyaluronic lip plumper but yeah you guys this is my finished faux makeup tutorial and I'm so grateful thank you so much Mr Burg for having me anyways I really enjoy doing
