I think that the fact he understands what their relationship is all about and thanking them for doing their jobs, even though they have probably caused him a lot of struggle throughout the years, is such a good indicator of what kind of a person he is. It's incredible to see the difference with the current POTUS, who will only take questions from journalists he knows will give him easy ones and runs away when the criticism becomes too much. It's good to be reminded that it's not normal.
