when the bible talks about the fruit of the spirit this is a direct result of the work of the holy ghost within your life they are a set of behaviors characteristics or traits that are produced in your life when you receive jesus christ as your personal savior and then allow the holy spirit to come upon you galatians chapter 5 verse 22 to 26 says but the fruit of the spirit is love joy peace forbearance kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness and self-control against such things there is no law those who belong to christ jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires [Music] since we live by the spirit let us keep in step with the spirit let us not become conceited provoking and envying each other so here the bible gives us the attributes the characteristics that will be produced in our lives once we come into the kingdom of god once we open our hearts and allow the lord to have his way within us that's when he will begin to change you and me from the inside out you begin to have the love of god in your life you begin to have joy unspeakable you begin to have peace beyond all human understanding now my friends we need to be aware of the opposite so that we may not perish because of a lack of knowledge just as there is good fruit that comes into our lives as a result of yielding to jesus christ if we make the choice to live carnally to live by the flesh then we will bear that fruit the fruit which is not of the lord these are the things that operate in opposition to god and we can find them detailed in galatians chapter 5 verse 17 to 22 for the flesh desires what is contrary to the spirit and the spirit what is contrary to the flesh they are in conflict with each other so that you are not to do whatever you want but if you are led by the spirit you are not under the law the acts of the flesh are obvious sexual immorality impurity debauchery idolatry and witchcraft hatred discord jealousy fits of rage selfish ambition dissensions factions and envy drunkenness orgies and the like i warn you as i did before that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of god so today would you take a moment and reflect look at your own life what kind of fruit are you producing we cannot produce both the fruit of the spirit and that of the flesh we are either producing one or the other i encourage you if you see signs of these fleshly desires go before the lord to repent and seek help you as an individual are responsible for your salvation so i encourage you to reach out to the lord today let us be a people who bear the good fruit of the spirit so that our behavior our character and attitudes might be pleasing to the lord and so with this understanding let us pray [Music] lord jesus your word tells us in the book of proverbs to keep your heart with all diligence because out of it come the issues of life i pray today lord that you might help me to keep my heart with all diligence help me to guard my heart so that i can produce and bring forth the fruit of this spirit help me to keep my heart guarded so that fleshly desires may never rule me i pray that i will be led by the spirit and not by the flesh may i cast away all the works of the flesh such as impurity idolatry selfishness envy and jealousy however i sincerely ask you to fill my heart with the holy spirit acts chapter 2 verse 17 says in the last days god says i will pour out my spirit on all people your sons and daughters will prophesy your young men will see visions your old men will dream dreams out your spirit upon us lord may i be so filled by the holy ghost that i will produce the fruit spoken of in galatians 5 verse 22. which says but the fruit of the spirit is love joy peace patience kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness self-control father your word tells me that those who belong to christ jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires help me to crucify my flesh lord teach me how show me how so that i can do this in my daily life may the holy spirit touch me so strongly that everything will be transformed i pray for a mighty transformation in my family in my marriage in all of my friendships and even within me as an individual transform my attitude my personality so that they may all produce the fruit of the spirit i welcome you lord jesus to perform a work within me your word in first corinthians 15 57 says but thanks be to god who gives us the victory through our lord jesus christ in you lord i have victory over sin through you lord jesus i can overcome the flesh and temptation i declare your word to be true because in romans chapter 8 verse 37 the bible says yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us so i pray that you might give me the strength to overcome to overcome the temptations of this world may i be in this world but not of this world renew my mind and transform my mind lord so that i may have a mindset that is fixated on you totally a mindset that is focused on your word in the name of jesus galatians chapter 2 verse 20 says i have been crucified with christ it is no longer i who live but christ lives in me and the life which i now live in the flesh i live by faith in the son of god who loved me and gave himself for me live in me lord lived through me so that i might walk by faith and not by sight so that i might walk in the spirit and not in the way of the flesh lord we worship your name today we praise you you are holy you are the only true god who is wonderful and all-knowing you are the only one who can meet every need so help me to crucify my flesh with its passions and desires so that i might draw closer to you and begin to walk in righteousness in the mighty and precious name of jesus christ i pray amen [Music] in john chapter 6 we're told the story of jesus feeding a multitude with only five loaves and two fish and within this story there is an important lesson for you and i john chapter 6 verse 8 to 11 says another of his disciples andrew simon peter's brother spoke up here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish but how far will they go among so many jesus said have the people sit down there was plenty of grass in that place and they sat down about five thousand men were there jesus then took the loaves gave thanks and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted he did the same with the fish verse 11 says jesus then took the loaves gave thanks he gave thanks to god the father i believe we are to follow this example set by our lord and savior we are to follow the example of simply stopping whatever it is we are doing stop enjoying the blessings that god has given you just for a moment stop working just for a moment stop whatever it is that is keeping you so busy and simply say thank you lord thank you for all that you have done for all that you are doing and that which you are yet to do i encourage you to say a prayer of thanks to the lord in the middle of such an amazing miracle five loaves and two fish suddenly becoming enough to feed a multitude jesus still had the presence of mind he still had a heart that was so keen on god that he said i cannot enjoy this miracle without first thanking god we too should have the presence of mind not to just enjoy the blessings god has given us but to stop and praise him thank him for being good for being faithful and so with that understanding now let us pray father i come before you today with a heart full of thanks psalm chapter 7 verse 17 says i will praise the lord according to his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the lord most high i want to thank you and give praises to your name today thank you that i am alive and well i thank you for blessing me and allowing me to see another day to live and rejoice another day i thank you that i am fit and healthy i thank you for blessing me with a family that surrounds me as i bow my head before you this morning and seek to come into your presence i ask for your mercy and for your blood to wash me clean as i begin my day i pray that you will keep me safe i ask that you protect me against the evil one may you please surround me with a hedge of protection 2 thessalonians chapter 3 verse 3 says but the lord is faithful and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one i believe lord that you are indeed faithful and your word is true i do believe that you will strengthen me i do believe that you will protect me and my family from the evil one father in this world that we live in we are surrounded by so many earthly things things that fight for our attention and things that distract us we're exposed to all sorts of things through television and the internet but i pray today lord that you will help us to guard our hearts our eyes and ears from these ungodly things help us to remain vigilant so that we may not be left vulnerable to sin give us strength father the grace to remain strong in faith looking unto you the author and finisher of our faith i pray that you will surround us lord with your strength and might may you shelter us and hide us under the shadow of your wings protect our minds lord from the darkness of this world protect our hearts from the evil one snares strengthen us from the temptation of the world give us the boldness to resist the devil so that he might flee from us lord your word says in isaiah 41 verse 10 so do not fear for i am with you do not be dismayed for i am your god i will strengthen you and help you i will uphold you with my righteous right hand i declare that i will not live in fear i declare that the works of the enemy will not prevail in my life i declare that my family and children are covered by the blood of jesus and nothing by any means will harm them thank you lord jesus for strengthening us and upholding us with your righteous right hand may your holy spirit continue to guide us and may your angels walk with us wherever we go [Music] may you strengthen us lord with the power of your might dress us with your armor so that we can stand firm against the schemes of the devil thank you for your word your word that tells us in ephesians 6 to know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers against powers against the world and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms as much as i am aware of the opposition that i will come up against as a believer i also know the power that i have access to when i call on the name of the lord the name that is above every other name the name of jesus psalm chapter 5 verse 11 says but let all who take refuge in you be glad let them ever sing for joy spread your protection over them that those who love your name may rejoice in you i rejoice and put my trust in you lord because i know that you will protect me i refuse to let fear control me for i am covered by the blood of jesus christ lord jesus i thank you and i believe that you are my keeper you are my good shepherd and you are the prince of peace in my life i speak the peace of the lord upon my life i speak peace upon my family upon my children and loved ones 2 thessalonians chapter 3 verse 16 says now may the lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way the lord be with all of you i believe that you are a god that has heard and answered my prayer thank you for listening lord jesus amen [Music] i pray that this will persuade you today to encourage you to recognize the importance of god's presence and not just the importance but also the need the need for god's presence in our lives as believers we come into the presence of many things and many people some people may have a good presence about them others may have a bad presence about them things and places can also have a presence or an atmosphere that can either be good or bad holy or unholy but i would like to talk to you today about the presence of god and its importance in the presence of god there is peace there is power you are made whole again and your spirit is renewed moses in exodus 33 verse 14 and 15 realized the significance of god's presence because the bible says the lord replied my presence will go with you and i will give you rest then moses said to him if your presence does not go with us do not send us up from here moses was at a stage where he knew how precious and valuable god's presence was and he was so after it that he refused to go anywhere without it he refused to go anywhere without the lord's presence now is that your cry today is that your prayer today lord i will not go anywhere if your presence does not go with me if indeed this is your request i encourage you to seek the lord with all of your heart mind and soul draw closer to him and he will draw closer to you the bible says now the benefits of god's presence can be found in exodus 33 verse 16 where the bible says how will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us what else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth moses after saying he will not go anywhere without the presence of the almighty he reveals an important reason why he so desperately needs the presence of god he says what else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth another translation says for how then will it be known that your people and i have found grace in your sight except you go with us so we shall be separate your people and i from all the other people who are upon the face of the earth [Music] as believers this is something that we need to understand we need the presence of god we need to seek him we need to hunt and search for god's presence to be in our lives there is peace and grace in the presence of god his presence will separate us from the rest of the people on this earth from the unbeliever from those who deceive from those that are lukewarm god's presence will distinguish you and so with this understanding let us pray father god psalm 148 verse 13. says let them praise the name of the lord for his name alone is exalted his glory is above the earth and heaven i praise you today your name alone is exalted high above every other name king jesus i come before you today father seeking your presence to be with me to go with me to move with me i seek your presence lord because just as moses asked how then will it be known that i have found grace in your sight except you go with us go with us today lord every person listening with their faith uplifted right now i pray that your presence may go with us may it surround us and cover us we need your presence lord jesus because in it we find grace in your holy presence we find favor we are made unique among other people i pray for your presence to be with me because in psalm 16 11 your word says you will show me the path of life in your presence is fullness of joy at your right hand are pleasures forevermore it's only in your presence that i can find true joy joy that cannot be stolen by the enemy father i am chasing your presence today because it can protect me it can keep me hidden from the attacks of the devil the bible says in psalm 31 verse 20 you shall hide them in the secret place of your presence from the plot of man you shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues hide me in your secret place lord jesus may i dwell there today and forevermore father god my prayer is psalm 51 verse 10 to 12 where the bible says create in me a clean heart o god and renew a steadfast spirit within me do not cast me away from your presence and do not take your holy spirit from me restore to me the joy of your salvation and uphold me by your generous spirit i pray that you cleanse me from all sin lord forgive me so that there may be nothing that separates me from you in my life [Music] i pray that the holy spirit will lead me into the presence of god may he instill the right attitude within me may he press on my heart the importance of the presence of god so that i may be persistent in my prayers persistent in asking god for his presence to go with me i understand lord that your presence is not cheap i need to be in right standing with you i need to live a life pleasing to you i need to be prayerful and persistent as i push myself to seek and search for you daily holy spirit help me to consistently wait upon the lord to consistently call on the name of jesus hear my prayer lord god almighty and reveal yourself in my life reveal your glory to me and my family may your presence be with me each and every morning before i start my day and may it cover me and surround me even as i end my day be praised be honored may you be worshiped and adored in my life king jesus [Music] i thank you for listening to this prayer amen [Music] we have many things that fight for our attention whether you're at home at work or even at church there is always something that seeks to demand your time to demand your focus and your attention but i encourage you today despite there being so many things demanding our attention we should be mindful of what we are giving our attention to the bible says in matthew 22 37 jesus said love the lord your god with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind when you love something when you love someone when you love them with all your heart soul and mind then that person has your attention that person or that thing takes your time you make room to accommodate that which you love you make adjustments you prioritize and move things around so that you can give time to that which you love [Music] in fact if you love something or someone enough you will wake up early you will go to sleep later you will find the energy somewhere and somehow to accommodate a relationship between you you will do near enough anything when the love is so strong that it's with all your heart and with all your soul so as you listen may i ask you the question do you love the lord your god with all your heart and with all your soul and with all of your mind are you waking up earlier just so you can say good morning lord jesus i place today in your hands are you making room to accommodate the lord in your daily schedule are you making adjustments to your day so that you can read the word of god so that you can pray i encourage you to be obedient to the words of jesus love the lord your god with all your heart with all your soul and with all your mind be obedient to the word of god in deuteronomy 11 verse 1 which says therefore you shall love the lord your god and keep his charge his statutes his judgments and his commandments always be obedient to the word of god in joshua chapter 22 verse 5 which says but take careful heed to do the commandment and the law which moses the servant of the lord commanded you to love the lord your god to walk in all his ways to keep his commandments to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul be obedient to the word of god in psalm 31 verse 23 which says o love the lord all you his saints for the lord preserves the faithful and fully repays the proud person so with this understanding let us pray lord jesus you are great and mighty you are holy and worthy thank you for your faithfulness you have been good to me father i pray that you remove everything that is hindering me from my life remove everything that is blocking me from having a closer relationship with you take away those things that are a distraction those things that disengage me from you take away anything that wants or does demand my attention above you open my eyes so that i can see it so that i can discern those areas which are competing with you in my life and i pray that you would give me the strength not just to identify but to remove those things i desire to be more and more like you lord 1st john chapter 1 verse 6 says if we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness we lie and do not practice the truth i pray that i may always walk in the light that is your word the bible says your word is like a lamp unto my feet i pray that you would help me lord to keep your word on my heart may i be focused and attentive to your word which is sharper than any two-edged sword give me the grace to put you first to put you ahead and above all of my daily tasks my schedule and my responsibilities i will forever place you above all things deuteronomy chapter 30 verse 16 says i command you today to love the lord your god to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments his statutes and his judgment that you may live and multiply and the lord your god will bless you in the land which you go to possess holy spirit will you help me to be obedient to god's word help me to walk in the way that pleases god help me to keep all of his commandments in my life may his statutes be close to my heart give me the strength to live in a manner that is indicative of someone who has been transformed by the love of christ i pray for your help and guidance holy ghost help me to stand up and stand out for christ the bible tells me not to be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of god transform my mind transform my way of thinking so that i may be focused on my relationship with you lord jesus give me a desire to chase after you lord i pray for a heart of worship like david so that i can worship you in spirit and in truth i pray that you would give me the strength and the boldness to refuse to bow down to anything and everything that seeks to take your place in my heart anything that seeks to take my attention away from you help me to be bold enough to remove it whether it be a career or a relationship help me not to bow down to any other gods or to any idols [Music] i thank you for listening to this prayer lord may you be glorified and honored i uplift your holy name for you alone are worthy to be praised in the mighty and precious name of jesus christ i pray amen [Music] in exodus chapter 20 from verse 3 god almighty said you shall have no other gods before me you shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below you shall not bow down to them or worship them for i the lord your god am a jealous god punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments you shall not misuse the name of the lord your god for the lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name remember the sabbath day by keeping it holy six days you shall labor and do all your work but the seventh day is a sabbath to the lord your god on it you shall not do any work neither you nor your son or daughter nor your male or female servant nor your animals nor any foreigner residing in your towns for in six days the lord made the heavens and the earth the sea and all that is in them but he rested on the seventh day therefore the lord blessed the sabbath day and made it holy honor your father and your mother so that you may live long in the land the lord your god is giving you you shall not murder [Music] you shall not commit adultery you shall not steal you shall not give false testimony against your neighbor [Music] you shall not covet your neighbor's house you shall not covet your neighbor's wife or his male or female servant his ox or donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor we are given a set of commands to follow and live by as believers and i want to draw your attention to verse 3 to 6 you shall have no other gods before me you shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below you shall not bow down to them or worship them for i the lord your god am a jealous god punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments god is a loving god indeed his mercies are new every morning for us his kindness has no limits and his grace is sufficient but he will not tolerate any other god or idol in our lives he says in the bible for i the lord your god am a jealous god so i encourage you today to pray for forgiveness if you have placed any other god before the almighty jehovah it could be the god of money a person anything at all and secondly let us pray that god would clear our hearts of everything that is not of him so that we might be filled with his spirit let us pray dear heavenly father you are god elohim yahweh the almighty creator you have brought everything we know and see into existence father together with everyone listening to the sound of my voice we bow we submit we surrender and yield to you jehovah to your will forgive us if we have unknowingly idolized something in our lives whether it is our careers our businesses the pursuit of money houses forgive us lord for anything we have placed ahead of you in our hearts i pray that when we wake up each morning our hearts and minds our thoughts are of you may they be of a godly nature may we be grateful thankful of your son jesus christ who died on the cross and rose again may we be thankful of the sacrifice he made the love he showed may that be the first thing on our minds when we wake up that you have given us a second chance and a new opportunity to live this life for you and to look forward to eternity with you [Music] i pray that even when it comes to ending our day may the last thing we do may it be to give you praise and honor for your protection for your grace and mercy i pray that every part of our day as believers may be filled with giving you praise and honor and being conscious of what we are giving attention to and whether it benefits our faith purge our hearts father and make us pure according to your standards not ours i praise you today because you are a god who goes before us to make all the crooked places straight there is none like you there is no other god before you your amazing power is described in isaiah 45 verse 5 to 7 which says i am the lord and there is no other there is no god besides me i will gird you though you have not known me that you may know from the rising of the sun to its setting that there is none besides me i am the lord and there is no other i form the light and create darkness i make peace and create calamity i the lord do all these things and father we ask that you pour down your righteousness on our lives remove us from sin draw us closer to the light that is in your presence pour out your holy spirit upon our lives and hearts today god may we answer the knock of christ and acknowledge that jesus christ is the way the truth and the life no one can get to the father except through his living son only you deserve to be praised only you are god alone the king of kings and the ruler of the universe the mighty creator be glorified thank you for listening to this prayer in the mighty and precious name of jesus christ i pray [Music] amen [Music] let not your heart be troubled those were the words of jesus christ in john 14 verse 1 let not your heart be troubled you believe in god believe also in me if you have accepted jesus christ as your lord and savior then you have every reason not to be troubled not to be anxious not to be stressed or worried within your heart he said you believe in god believe also in me but why why did jesus say those words to us i believe that the answer the reason we should not let our hearts be troubled can be found in verse 6 of john 14 where the lord said i am the way the truth and the life meaning if you have accepted jesus christ into your heart then you have accepted the way the truth and the life let not your heart be troubled because if you have accepted jesus christ as your lord and savior if we decide to follow him and to submit to his ruling and authority in our hearts then you and i become like sheep and here's what the lord says about sheep in john 10 11 he says i am the good shepherd the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep [Music] what a privilege it is to have the son of god to have the born from the dead say that he will give his life for his sheep we should not let our hearts be troubled because john chapter 10 verse 7 to 9 says then jesus said to them again most assuredly i say to you i am the door of the sheep all whoever came before me are thieves and robbers but the sheep did not hear them i am the door if anyone enters by me he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture this again reinforces that there is only one good shepherd and that is christ so if you have accepted him into your heart then you will be saved you will find pasture meaning spiritual security i want to encourage you today to uplift someone or maybe to simply reassure you that you need not be worried let your heart not be troubled if jesus christ is in your heart then you have accepted the way the truth and the life you have accepted the good shepherd and now let us pray dear lord my king and my savior in your arms is where i desire to be in your presence is where i am safest and most secure i pray today father for the person listening may they know you to be the good shepherd i pray that their reality may be that you make them to lie down in green pastures may you lead them beside the still waters and restore their soul lord jesus i speak peace into the hearts and minds of every man and woman listening let them know you to be their good shepherd the one who leads them through the valley of the shadow of death [Music] i pray that you will not fear any evil because the rod and staff of jesus christ the king of kings will comfort may it strengthen you and give you confidence i pray for you and in agreement with you psalm 23 verse 5 and 6 where the bible says you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies you anoint my head with oil my cup runs over surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and i will dwell in the house of the lord your heart will not be troubled by your enemies whatever form your enemy comes in whether it's another person whether it's debt whether it's addiction god will cause you to overcome you will dine and feast you will be blessed at the table that god has prepared for you despite your enemies despite that issue despite that problem the lord will and has prepared a table before you meaning he has prepared a way for you to overcome he has given you the victory thank you for your word king jesus we speak it we confess it and declare it surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life surely goodness and mercy shall follow my family my children surely goodness and mercy shall follow me so i will not want or lack for nothing help us lord jesus to be obedient to your word may our hearts received the word spoken in john 14 verse 1 let not your heart be troubled you believe in god believe also in me to know you lord is to know the way the truth and the life to know you to know the words you have spoken to know the miracles signs and wonders you have performed that gives us confidence to trust in you and to know that you will make a way where there seems to be no way you will make good on all of your promises promises that tell me that you are preparing to come for us as your children so that we can be where you are you have said in john 14 verse 3 if i go and prepare a place for you i will come again and receive you to myself that where i am there you may be also thank you for such a promise i would like to give you thanks also for the holy spirit the wonderful helper who acts who guides who teaches and reminds us of all things concerning you and your kingdom i pray that the holy spirit may lead us move us and push us to chase you lord jesus to seek you first and always i pray that we may become a people who dwell in the secret place of the most high and abide under the shadow of the almighty i
