Neat, I really liked it. I think it would be better not to show the creature in the thumbnail though- seems like it would be more surprising/interesting if the viewer had to imagine what "God" looked like based on the testifiers, and then potentially have their expectations subverted when they actually see him.
It would also leave people wondering whether or not anything's going to show up in the painting. I feel like half the story is revealed in the thumbnail, because it's only a 7 minute short.
The last minute, starting with the star in her eyes, was the big payoff. From there, it was one small jump-cut after another, each making reference to something that preceded and set the tone, all tied together at the end. That's Sixth Sense technique, and it works really, really well.

Please if your dream is to produce feature length horror - pursue it. There's a lack of talent in the industry and this kind of shit is what we crave.
I mean, right now the best horror film out there is about a glory hole so.. the doors are open.
