Port Mansfield Trout and Fiounder Tips

foreign [Music] [Music] yeah right that's what he said but here we are here we are that's how it happened it took about two seconds you said let me talk to the Missus but I don't think you I think you talked to the dog and you said hey so there we are here welcome back to the show everybody this morning we'll go up boys up north trying to catch a few trout Reds and we're gonna we're gonna do some flounder fishing this morning hope y'all having a good day we are God bless everybody and their families we'll show you what a nice day it is at Fort Madison a little you know windy but not bad looks like we've got some thunderheads right offshore here we'll be back at you in a minute where's y'all doing [Applause] [Music] pretty good fish here [Music] [Music] [Applause] oh [Music] swallowed it this is all of it they will just be choked on it's like he might be real I think so boy he ate the worm need my fish grabber out here pretty long foreign flounder looks right on the bottom remind me of flounder shaking until now boy nice truck real nice drummer ah oh yes 20 inch trout foreign whoa buddy she swallowed it it's working it real slow she was right on it's right on the point there oh yeah about 20 inches or so she swallowed it trout dude no 16. got a trout come out to this deep water looks like he's almost a keeper yep give me a little wet me yourself looks like he's a keeper Okay so okay gator we used to keep those a while back God damn it you know gotta get a little bigger but that's nice okay now a little tip of the day we're gonna go in here and catch some flounder we're going to use gulp I like to use the sugar and spice myself you know oh they got a lot of different colors excuse me but I've just had really good luck on the sugar and spice over the years when I'm really in a tournament I use a usually use a 1 8. mouth jig and throw it out there and Let It Go on the bottom and Just Bounce It real slow until I feel them holding on to it basically and then I give them a few seconds and then I set the hook on and believe me I missed about half of them it's like everybody else but all I need is one good one usually place and uh there it is oh this is how we fish for flounder throw it out there boom go all the way down the bottom put the drag just give some soft pops like this make sure you're right on the bottom you can just feel them tap tap and then you've got to set the hook on them we're going to work this thing on the left side and the right side they've got one see if we can catch another one hopefully there's some more in there right here Dave's on come on bubba oh yeah it's already on so I know we're eating my sandwich oh yeah that's a nice one David there we go buddy thank you not too big huh it's terrific it's a redfish sure it is hello little one here we go [Music] Twinkies another 18 incher oh you're using the manso margarita foreign foreign we enjoyed ourselves um we didn't catch as many fish as we would have liked but it was good good time had by all what happened to the boat the boat sort of uh quit it quit it just gave up it did not want to go any further we got to about dubs Island and on the way home and all of a sudden it was not good we thought we were gonna have to get code in change the battery David messed around with a switch here switch dignity ignition switch was loose and then it cranked up after sitting around there for 30 minutes or an hour anyway thank God we're coming in so yep it's all grateful for that where it's all good we had a tough day but we caught a few fish they've got a nice flounder so stay tuned for another episode be safe out here it's very dangerous we thought we were going to get caught but we figured it out anyway thank you all for watching Birch Outdoors that's what we're talking about
