Pop Up Camper Campsite Tour | 2008 Jayco Select 12HW

[Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hey how's it going pop-up campers welcome back to it's poppin so today i kind of want to do like an impromptu kind of more relaxed video just going to do a kind of a walk through or tour of our pop-up camping setup if you will so i'll take you around maybe you can uh find some things you like take some ideas from us and uh and go from there i always like seeing how everybody else kind of sets up their camp what they got going on and what what things they have for their specific uh pop-up camper setup so first things first we kind of have our of course camp chair set up so we have these new to us um actually we got these all from academy sports and there's some locking uh chairs and the nice thing about these and as you can see it's been raining a little bit nice thing about these is they have some oversized cup holders and some regular sized cup holders so phones fit perfectly in there unlike on the the regular ones i always had to cram move in there so we kind of upgraded on our chairs there and also new to us is we picked up one of these um screen rooms now this is not like an easy up one so it does take a minute to pop it up but it's really nice and roomy of course you can fit a full size picnic table in here which of course we're taking advantage as it's sprinkling so that's kind of our our setup right there new to us so we'll see how we uh like it going forward now kind of for our kitchen setup this weekend we totally took advantage of our black stone and cooked all of our meals on it burgers eggs pancakes everything on our blackstone now one thing i do want to get and this will make life pretty a lot easier is get a quick connect fitting that goes in that uh propane quick connect and then um get the adapter that runs directly into the blackstone kind of had to do a makeshift thing where i took the propane tank off the front uh tongue of the camper that way we could get it away from the camper and i didn't have to worry about it getting too hot or anything like that now at the back of the camper we uh of course take advantage of all these posts and use those as kind of a towel drying rack and we just buy some of these clips that clip around really nicely on the back end of course we have our collapsible trash can for that and let's see really the only other thing going on in our kind of kitchen setup is we have one of these aluminum rollaway tables that pack away actually really nicely and they hold a decent amount of weight so we try and do most of our food prep work right there and of course we have uh our keurig type coffee maker right there we normally just keep that in the pop-up so that way we have coffee quick and easy it's not you know it's it's mediocre coffee at best but nevertheless at least we have something and then coming over to the front here we just kind of got odds and ends water fire starting stuff now here is something pretty cool that hopefully we'll have in some future videos but this is of course a new door that swings out and then we have our cooler that completely slides out like that and it's on some 260 pound sliding well drawer slides and that holds the weight of of course the cooler a fair amount of ice and drinks and everything else pretty nicely and it seems to be holding up pretty well and of course once you're done slides back in and you can tuck it away and that way you're not tripping over a cooler so that's pretty much it for our exterior setup now this is as many of you know uh new to us jayco so we're kind of getting you know our setup perfected of course all this is subject to change um oh we do of course have our um our rv mat set up really like those just to keep you off the uh gravel and dirt but other than that that's pretty much it for the exterior we'll take you inside and kind of show you our setup inside once again subject to change because this is new to us but uh we got a lot of stuff that carried over from our last camper all right let's step inside here as far as the inside's concerned pretty plain jane at the moment and honestly that's because we like you know keeping everything outside for the most part but as far as the kitchen area is concerned of course i mean you got to have some hand sanitizer these days we need to pick up a paper towel roll holder i think we're just going to get some sort of vertical uh paper towel holder and our last pop-up we had a nice horizontal paper towel holder that attached to the sink um but um there's really nowhere to put that these days so as far as like storage and stuff we have quite a bit in this pop-up and so of course we have like all of our paper plates forks knives spoons all of your kitchen stuff hot pads aluminum foil and then some black stone accessories uh trash bags let's see what else we have up here have a bug spray sunscreen um disinfectant wipes things of that nature uh we have all of our uh cassette toilet stuff chemicals and toilet paper and is there anything even in here just a few odds and ends in that basket so we cram a lot of things in baskets that way they're just not floating all over the place within the cabinets there and then underneath the oven here we just have a lot of our cups plates pans um things for leftovers etc etc so a lot of our kitchen stuff in uh one of those stairlight baskets and then finally under here just some ex extra paper towel that's probably just going to roll around in there and then over here we have our vacuum that slides into that little cubby really nicely and here is our three-way refrigerator so what do we all have in here it's like an episode of cribs some pudding a lot of cheese waters things like that some hot dogs that we never ate eggs salsa um ham everything that you might need in your refrigerator so a lot of the foods in here and then of course a lot of the drinks just out in our cooler all right moving on this drawer right here is kind of what we're using to store all of our dry goods if you will so breads ketchup buns etc etc if it doesn't need to go in the refrigerator we're putting it right in there and then that way it tucks away of course like bigger items like some chips there don't fit so they haven't quite made it now in this drawer it's kind of a catch-all our shower curtain which is not up and then in these big packing cubes and these are actually from ikea and they are made to actually hold wrapping paper but we have a lot of our bedding and pillows that goes in these this one is collapsed because of course our bedding is on our bed so that's what normally goes in there and we'll put everything else back in and once we take down camp of course a lot of that will get filled back up now moving on over to the bed area now this is kind of a new system to us that we're trying out and these are from ikea as well and these cubes we are putting our clothing in so both my wife and i have for example packed out one of these packing cubes put all of our clothes in here and layered them in here along with our toiletries so this is the clean side and then over here we are putting our dirty clothes and then that way of course we know what needs to be washed what doesn't and then these will just go back in the car for easy access or you know ease of cleaning after we're done camping and all that really remains left of course we have our bed we went over our whole bedding setup in a previous video and then finally our shower and cassette toilet combo so that's it guys just a quick tour overview of our camping setup as is in may of 2021 of course subject change there's a few things we still want to get for this camper one thing we definitely want to install once we renovate this camper is our shoe organizer that attaches on the wall right next to the door and that way you can have quick access to a lot of like um you know bug spray lighters um keys things of that nature that you want to have quick access to uh when you're outside as well so definitely we're gonna be adding some things and i'm sure our camper setup will change a little bit here and there as we kind of figure out better ways um utilizing the storage and the space that we do have with the items that we bring along camping so hopefully you guys maybe got some ideas um from our setup that you can incorporate into yours and um i'd love to hear if you guys have any suggestions for us on what we can change up or make a little bit better so as always guys hopefully you see in the next video if not hopefully we see out there
