Pokemon Legends Arceus - Hisuian ONLY - Hardcore Nuzlocke

so i've been playing a lot of pokemon legends arceus lately both on stream and on my own it's the pokemon game that a lot of fans wanted and for me i think game freak did a fantastic job transitioning the franchise into an open world game now one of my favorite parts of a new pokemon game are the new types of pokemon available to use whether it's a brand new pokemon all together or it's an older pokemon with a new form with a different typing i generally go out of my way to catch and use these pokemon in a new play through so i thought to myself why not do a run where i can only use the new history informed pokemon and to add some spice to the run i'll use hardcore nuzlocke rules which are listed here oh by the way i've started streaming my runs onto youtube so make sure you subscribe with notifications turned on if you want to join me and chat on our runs so the first order of business is to pick our starter pokemon a couple of things i want to mention so obviously the only way this runs possible is if i'm allowed to use historian pokemon at their pre-evolution for example my start is not technically a historian pokemon but eventually it will evolve into one so i can use it all the way up until it evolves and that's fine so any pokemon that i catch that's not hysterian but can evolve into one then i that is fair game i can use it part of the run so that's how it's going to work and the reason why i'm leaning towards oshawott is because i feel like um decidueye has the exact same typing as liligan so i think that just doesn't make too much sense to go for that and then also typhlosion i've used typhlosion a few times but not only that i think arcanine is actually a really good fire type as well i haven't used basket legion so i don't know i'm unfamiliar so i don't really really want to risk it in that sense so osha what is the person is the pokemon going for but nicknames we need some nicknames in the chat chat votes for the name tanjiro and we continue the run we do some required research tasks and now we have the dreaded battle against zakari and her pikachu tanjiro let's go all right aqua tower aquajet surely we go first thunder wave oh no this is not good we're already off to a bad start okay we hit okay please i just if how much does this do all right if we don't hit this we lose simple as that okay we've got a second chance dead well that didn't last very long this is going to be a fun challenge pikachu is going to go first thunder wave again no oh we avoided the attack okay okay we're in we are in so that gives me two turns and aqua jig okay i'm going for the aquajet it's two turns and it's stab nice oh what look how easy this was second attempt second attempt was didn't even phase me first attempt absolutely destroyed that was easy this just goes to show how important rng is in pokemon nuzlockes now we have another battle that i'm scared of the munchlax all right so here's the plan let's go for a sword's death wait does aqua jet allowed to go twice no we're going to go for a sword stance right raise our tap whoops i got in the way of that now what's it going to do tackle how much attack will do does too much for my liking i'm going to start off with one rock smash get the defense drop come on oh what we are safe and the okay guys i sit there don't cry i sit there and i'm struggling oh what do we do what do we do that was oh my god i feel so stupid i feel so stupid that was too easy i really worried uh i really worried about that turns out i was worried for nothing from here i decided to do some exploring and we add some new team members first we come across a scyther who was not too difficult to catch with a pokeball once i was able to catch it chad decided on the name slasher then i decided to backtrack and look for a stantler who was surprisingly difficult as they would always run when spotted we do catch one eventually and chat voted for the name rudolph tanjiri then evolves into duet and we can progress with the story thankfully we have a fight against cleveland and this is a rather stress-free battle we throw a bunch of forest bumps at cleveland and it finally comes down and we can now continue on with the story so at this point i'm keen for stantler to evolve so the plan was to fight some alpha barrels and obtain a seed of mastery that way i can master the move sideshield bash and use it 20 times with an agile style and get the evolution level 16 waterfall some should just do if it doesn't do too much we're dead to [ __ ] all right so i'm switching out i'm gonna bring in slayer who can go for rock smash yeah that's the plan this thing doesn't have aerial lace right i should have checked it does this thing have aerial lace oh it's got roll out though oh no um can i get two no i can't is this thing gonna kill me if it goes for a rock smash i mean if it goes for a roll out i'm taking a big risk oh no drop your defense oh what's it doing roll that oh [ __ ] oh no oh no we're dead what's it doing oh please survive slayer yeah i know i'm an idiot a totally avoidable death and now i can't use cleveland for the rest of this run what makes this even worse is you can't even use a seat of mastery for that particular move and you have to wait until it's level 31 to master it anyway we press on and we take on volo all right let's go okay i do this and this raises my defensive stats so i'm gonna do this i think that's this is the best move bam that's good my defenses go up it's gonna drain and kiss yeah that's expected that's okay if i land this we're pretty safe oh no i didn't land of course i don't land it and now we're in a situation where it's dangerous all right let's work we'll just we'll work it out my defense is up by two so gibbel has to crit to kill me now right bulldogs i'm 172. leaves me on 38. oh my goodness that is so close all right i'm gonna switch because i've gotta feel he's gonna go for agile move and if you guys for now john if he would have hit me twice and he would have killed this is bad let's go for this i'm just dude oh you know we're fine we are fine 127 how much is we gonna do oh wow we are not fine wait no we are not fine at all it's so close but i don't really have a choice really so if i bring in stanley he's not going to be able to one-shot it i'm doing it what happens please tengiro plot armor oh we're dead guys please don't get two turns oh we survive we survive all right we're good wait why is why was everyone why was anyone even stressing this fight's easy this is an easy fight what was anyone even stressing for i decided to add some more team members before we actually take on their saloona so we end up finding ourselves a teddysura come on you wanna i know you want it did you see me are you gonna run away oh you're bringing your dad okay well you know what i'm gonna apologize for trying to feed your child food you know what they say don't take candy from a stranger and then now that you're back uh what he's chasing me down whoa psycho relax dude i just wanted to capture him in a ball for the rest of his life okay he's gone now okay let's do that a little bit more discreetly all right oh yes that's guaranteed capture that was green yes all right nicknames nicknames for the teddy bear please level 20. we can use it nice also i know i can find myself a patil and a goomy but i just need to find a way to cross this water patio will be especially useful as i can grind some mirror points and get a sunstone to evolve it into a liligan who will be perfect for ursa luna if i catch you i'm happy i think i caught you all right and we can get us uh we can get a grooming here as well level 35 oh no they're over leveled i can't use um that's lame it's too high level i completely forget that the pokemon here are technically not meant to be caught yet and are indeed all over the level cap patil is named nizuko and gumi is called king slime i let my pokemon rest out of their pokeballs for a little bit before we head on to take on the ursaluna so with uh luna i'm going to i'm going to go for it okay i'll go for a normal style aquajet because he's got bulldozer wow that did big damage critical hit nice okay slash oh no crit slash uh i'm dead to a normal hit i need to switch out i actually need to switch out um i'll bring in rudolph i'll bring yeah i think i'll bring in rudolph let's see what happens hopefully we get a hopefully we get to attack in fact if i bring in rudolph i think if i go for a bulldoze that guarantees he won't get two turns because this will slow him down okay nice oh no i just thought he might get two turns baby okay that's fine that's fine babydoll lies what's his other move slash oh my goodness two crit okay all right i need to bring back in tengero actually if tanjura gets to attack we win waterfall should kill this rights it's got really bad special defense yeah we win i think we just win water pulse yeah i think this is it it should kill nice all right that wasn't too bad sometimes i stress a bit too much for nothing with ursula now calm we can head towards probably the easiest frenzy fight in this game liligant like cleveland i didn't even bother bringing out a pokemon for this fight and we continue to throw bombs at this pokemon until we win now that we have a new level cap i can finally add both patil and gumi to the squad so from here i decided to work more on the pokedex to allow me to get to the next area of the game ah what's this gonna do okay i'm i'm taking too many risks hey what happened there that one hurt you'll be missed rudolph but the show must go on on the bright side inosuke got to level 30 and can now evolve into a nurse rank we now have a tough 2v1 fight against a rider so i decide to get tenure up to the level cap to allow him to evolve for the fight with a rider easily disposed of i then box 10-0 so it doesn't over level for the fight against the bandit sisters that is coming up soon before i continue on i do a quick hunt and i add the next member to the team we then catch a dust club so we can use it to make basket legends favorite food at the campfire and then we can finally summon the giant fish by simply playing the flute the sisters come up and they kidnap the wrong growlithe and now i need to hunt them down and take them out before i head to the volcano i have access to one more encounter that can be found in the water i then take out a bunch of sheens with strong soil barbarages and eventually let quillfish evolve into an overquill before buying myself a firestone with merit points to allow growlithe to evolve into an arcanine i've got a four i didn't even heal my moves i've got a five percent chance of not killing him i land this one shots nice okay print just to rub it in yeah i wish i had strong style i don't but let's go bulldoze one shot please oh no okay no fighting move mud bomb oh that's quite affected this is bad actually oh we'll be fine i'm overreacting because we're going to out speed the ride on for sure i should have just done strong style actually easy [Music] and i'm just wondering there's an adjust adjustable water pulse will kill for sure it has to kill he's got like paper special defense all right so if we go pokemon we go tengero we swap you and we want to do agile style to make sure gengar doesn't get two turns in a row that's what we do in agile style for so water pulse agile style that will kill one one shot for sure what okay okay i just told aquajet this we might be in trouble guys we've been bulldozed then i shot please don't kill don't get too hit okay he there's no way he survives this no way he survives this come on ten zero you got plot armor yeah okay what was i with you guys you just worry for nothing use worry for nothing even when things don't go away it works out we then have to deal with the frenzied arcanine and take it on but i've done this fight a few times now and i beat it on my first go barely taking any damage with a new level cap we now have a bunch of evolutions that we can do first up we have king slime who is now a hisoian sligoo then i use the sun stone to get nazuko to evolve into a hissuin liligant and finally after a bit of searching i can find a peat block and i use it during a full moon to evolve the earth's rank into an ursa luna now we have a tough fight against ingo so is there any way i can get two moves off agile aquajet followed by a psycho cut gives me two moves so let's do that oh do you know i just realized his tangle is going to rip me to shreds so yes akaza you're going to come in a kaza i have a plan guys i have a plan double edge nice well not that nice but things i don't really want to kill him just yet because if i kill him gliscor would definitely come in and one shot akasa with a ground type move psycho cut should kill from here for sure [Music] all right nice in comes the tangler and we get to go first nice okay you know what i'm gonna play it safe oh no if i bring in ringoku though let's call just one shot with a ground type move for sure he'll one shot king slime is actually going to be useful here i should eat this right yeah eat it easily i'll do a normal and then i'll follow by an agile follow up with an agile on my next turn energy ball okay now i've got to be careful because gliscor does come in so now i'll bring in tengiro i should still get my turn hopefully i hopefully hopefully it's still my turn yes all right we go for the icy wind that will kill and now we can 1v1 the gliscor with full health because i never got a chance to use it okay so quick attack ouch mud bomb all right let's go oh nice we get two hits off with aqua jet regardless let's go for an aquajet no that sucks hey how come i didn't get two hits off for those who were wondering i figured out later on that i didn't get two turns because the first aquajet missed i think in suke is the um the play let's go mud bomb that hurts more than i than i'd want it to but that's okay okay i'm gonna go for one slash see how much it does do a decent amount okay we can finish off with a strong style oh he's just gonna i'm gonna keep missing though aren't i you know what let's go i'm doing i'm taking the risk strong style slash please hit oh it didn't even hit we are in a bit of a pickle all right in suke if you want to live you have to hit this move it is in your hands i'm going to press the button if you die it's on you i'm sorry if you want to live you have to hit this and kill you have to kill it no oh we lost another person in suitcase dead that battle did suck but little did i know that it wasn't going to get any better any time soon it starts off positive as i find a his who involved who i can catch and unnamed zunitsu and add to the team alright slime you can break these graveler okay oh no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no yeah that's right a level 53 graveler just casually chilling in the oil deposit while i was lurking in a space-time distortion with no time to mourn the death of king slime we need yet to add another pokemon and we find ourselves a hissuian sneasel chad gives a name luna and now we have a team of six again now we have a 3v1 battle against melee to tackle gun tank can i one shot this thing that is the question why am i so worried about this gun tank why am i so worried about it and let's just go what happens i just are they're getting like 10 moves off let's count one bite hypnosis oh no now i'm going to take more damage that's not good agile style this is the third move now night slash that's not good fourth move fifth move i got hit five times in a row no oh my god honestly at this point i've lost all faith in the action order chart that has shown in hindsight i probably should have attacked one of the two support pokemon first i then take out the electrode on my first try however this was much more difficult than it should have been before we can head to alabaster iceland we now have a battle with our rival akari pikachu does not get two hits off surely not right [Music] let's see what happens let's see what happens tengero what level is this thing it's level 47 okay strong star oh no that's not good thunderbolt am i dead that one did hurt wanting to end this stream on a positive note i hunt for some new team members starting with zora who is named zoro then i scale the mountain and we can find ourselves a ruffler who is named oreo and last but not least i hunt for a basculin that gets the nickname guy you from chat the next day i'm feeling refreshed and i have a bunch of evolutions to start the stream on a high first of all is rufflet who becomes a historian bravery who i'm a big fan of next up we get ourselves a basket legion who then joins the team last but certainly not least is the hissuian zororak and this is a fan favorite that completes the trio of evolutions made as we progress through the game we need to compete in another 3v1 against sabi all right let's go yes i want to fight you first a drain punch should kill right i'm 25 levels higher please kill nice all right i think we're i think we're safe now what are they what are they going to do the underwear that's annoying but it's not the end of the world that's actually fine high horsepower i should eat that not very effective absolutely okay good and you know what let's drain punch my uh electrovirus [Music] i'm too okay i've got to watch out i don't want to be thunder punch i eat that as well my horse power i've got to be very careful now yeah electrode energy ball to rip area that's the play do i get two turns if i do that no that's right and oh no wrong pokemon oh they'll still kill i think no it doesn't hopefully this doesn't punish me oh this might hurt all right that ah i should have got rid of i was meant to get rid of ryperia first now we're in a bit of a situation but it's not the end of the world please please don't let elect avail go before me [Music] no oh no guys it's not good [Music] this is not good at all please okay we should be fine all right i need to switch in we're not paralyzed so we should get the next turn and energy ball will kill energy ball will kill by period for sure [Music] and we're fast so we should get our turn right yes all right and just be s yeah just be safe strong style energy ball there's no way this thing survives this right no chance that was way too risky and that'll happened from a miss click that fight was a lot sweatier than it should have been but thankfully i wasn't punished from the miss click the last friends in pokemon to quote is avalog and maintaining my perfect form against the frenzied pokemon are defeated on my first attempt from here i catch the last available pokemon in this run bergmite although it is way under leveled with a couple of big back-to-back battles i spend some time killing the same old paw alpha blissey over and over again until our team is close to the level cap before the fight against benny we need to defeat or catch the alpha pokemon that reside in the lakes starting with goodra okay we don't get two turns so we're going to go with a drain punch see how much we do okay that's all right okay it's gonna get two hits off what's it gonna do iron tail oh no no thankfully the other two went down without much of a fight and i replaced the zico with luna who is my backup fighting type now we have the battle against benny who can be problematic okay we do go first which is what i expected no okay i'm dead oh i'm a special attacker i don't have shadow ball i actually have to go to bit of malice and pray i didn't even think about that that's awkward i need oh good good good good thank you no i'll just go for a normal one print maybe at least he uses max potion already power gem i want to kind of save zoro i don't want anyone else to die let's do this i've got a plan agile style let's go this should kill for sure right nice okay sneeze light okay this thing can't it's close combo that's neutral oh we eat that oreo come in because we'll definitely one shot this no questions asked what that sucks just go for air slash we get two hits off nice there's no chance he brings glade in right please no didn't think so but you know what can't mind okay that's not too bad i mean it's a bit scary but it's not the worst let's do this how much damage am i doing oh that's not good at all aura is able to slowly bring the garden board down to the yellow by roosting over and over again while guardable keeps going for dazzling gleams this took a little longer than expected but we got the job done ah just gonna go for thunderbolt this should kill and i don't think a lead can do anything i'm going to go agile style just to avoid him doing any um double up moves on me i don't i don't want to get hit twice i should have won bravery actually oh let's work it out oh nice that does decent damage and he's paralyzed oh nice okay drain punch i'm just do ouch all right we can bring an oreo here we're going for it we're going for it come on oreo i believe in you yes benny come on mate you're an easy fight easiest fight in the game with benny disposed off we now take on commando okay so the plan here is one shot this thing with a shutter ball right and it should be a one shot for sure bam okay bravery is down so who's going to bring it next probably snorlax maybe okay snorlax which is fine high horsepower that's going to kill me no it doesn't oh wow i'm thick i'm bulky i bring in luna and a close combat will absolutely destroy this thing hopefully if this takes it out nice what a luna okay golem most likely clefable the fable carmine okay that's a bit scary to be honest soccerkid219 thank you very much for the sub okay i don't like the fact that clefable's in i kind of want okay you know what let's go let's just get rid of it this is the last hard fight is this one shot almost got the poison what are you gonna do max potion okay i'll take that oh we get two hits nice nice nice this is actually perfect perfect indeed because gollum is next let's bring in zanetsu and we're just gonna go for an agile style move at your sole energy ball this look at look how stress-free this fight was compared to benny stress-free and golem this is definitely energy ball and dead and just to be safe we've got strong style i kind of hate the historian electro design yeah the design's pretty average i think uh but i like the the electric grass type i think that's pretty cool after commander bows down to us we now have to catch dialga to be able to progress at this point i was prepared to let luna die if it meant getting in a good position to catch the alga with the alco now on our side paoko decides to show his face and everyone decides to bail before we take on paukya we craft the origin balls thanks to the help of liam and the professor and we have one last battle i'm going to be honest why in the world did my character decide it would be a good idea to face paokiya in its fused form in hand-to-hand combat like i literally have a dialga in my team but i have to fight this thing myself thankfully i can be powka on my first attempt although i did get pretty close we catch pacquiao with an origin ball and now we have saved the world with our bare hands with that i have beaten pokemon legends arceus in a hardcore nuzlocke using only his silly informed pokemon thank you all for watching and i'll see you next time
