Pokémon Blaze Black 2 ULTRA Hardcore Nuzlocke (Challenge Mode, No EV, No items, No overleveling) 1/2

all right today we are going to be playing the hardest generation 5 game ever we're going to be playing blaze black 2 which is a rom hack of pokemon black 2. so all of the trainers have been made more difficult with full teams of six the trainer ai has been increased in difficulty and there's also gonna be more pokemon made available for me to use so we're gonna do all that and we're also gonna play it as a hardcore nuzlocke so in case you guys don't know what a hardcore nuzlocke is here's the rules i use so if a pokemon faints in battle it's considered dead and it must be boxed permanently i can only catch the first unique encounter in each area no bag items in battle i cannot over level the next gym leader's highest level pokemon and the game must be played on set mode finally what makes this ultra hardcore everything i said before was easy right what makes this actually hard we're going to be playing with no evs so evs are just extra stats that a pokemon has this just makes it so that if a pokemon i get is bad it stays bad additionally pokemon black and white 2 are the only games in all of pokemon to have an extra difficulty level so we're going to be playing this on challenge mode which means that all of the trainers are going to be either 1 to 10 levels higher than normal and i know i'm probably gonna go insane doing this challenge so i'm gonna do all this in the scenes come check me out thanks okay starter choice this is important so back in my blaze black play through right we established that contrary snivy was the best even though we all know fire types are rare grass types generally don't perform well and water types are really common so you don't need one as a starter even though we all know that we established that contrary snivy was the best so obviously he's the best here right not exactly the best here is actually oshawa because oshawa here gets shell armor now it doesn't matter how many defense boosts you get on snivy if you get a crit none of those defense boosts matter but being able to plan for a fight without having to worry about critical hits is just so much more useful and don't get me wrong i would love to sweep all of the fights with contrary superior but you can't reliably set up in every single battle especially in this challenge so getting oshawa is the correct decision oh yeah there is the challenge mode coming in the the first rival fight is usually always level five same as you but in challenge mode they always increase the level by like one or like 10. so here you can see that he's one above normal so that's challenge mode for you uh one thing i have to mention is that because i am only spending one attempt on this game i will be using rare candies and if you guys think that's cheating first encounter i'm really hoping for a fighting type because the first gym is a normal type gym at this early on in the game stab normal type moves deal a lot of damage so i'm really hoping for like a steel type a riolu i guess uh relaxed nature minus speed analytic uh the minus speed works well with analytics so that's fine we're really hoping for a fighting type here so great let's do this [Music] um i guess we just swift until we can kill you right i don't mind sacking you yeah so if you die here i don't i don't mind oh okay maybe i'll let you live maybe i'll let you live but now that he's in potion range he's gonna potion which means we leer because this makes it easier for the next pokemon in to kill uh okay so then we can switch to you this is a swift coming into us and then we so we're gonna do is don't circle through this turn okay and then just miss miss everything miss everything miss everything oh we're faster now that means a circle throwing which means oh i guess circleco never misses i guess we just go to younow and we just set up as many defense curls as we can so we go defense curl and just set up as many as we can until it hits us until it hits us plus two roll out i don't actually know if it circle throws then it's dead right unless this circle throws this turn okay okay it doesn't circle through it doesn't circle through this turn that means it's dead next turn right because this should do like what at least a third perfect that means it's dead next turn and it's not going to circle through because it's last because circle throw is might as attack boost means we definitely kill this two shot don't toxic spikes or faster perfect okay this is so good this is so good because he did not set up toxic spikes no one on our team will ever use venoshock we might still have to get lucky here if you don't do more than half lynch is good lynch is good venoshock it's not gonna do that much right because we have yeah we have barry please kill lead in excel gore it's really fast and really offensive so what we're gonna do is we're gonna encore first turn so that we can keep him in rain dance then we're gonna switch to u and we are going to work up we need like two minimum that's two stay in encore stay stay in encore it okay we have to kill it now then this shouldn't do too much maybe like a third that's a crit holy this is this is probably like icy wind or skull right if it's icy wind that's good so we can roost first but the next turn we just have to go for it icy wind that's okay that's what i thought because now we're not are special attackers except for miracus and by that point great acrobatics they should do nothing they should be like 10 max a little bit more but this should kill we we're gonna kill her with rock blast right away perfect we bait out a piper potion which is amazing perfect we knock it out that's exactly what we want this is going to be either amp ross lantern or galvantula and we have a counter for all three of those this is going to be hydro pump hydro pump that's perfectly fine it's probably going to confuse right now but we have person berry uh we're going to gig a drain because it's more plus we get health back in case it does vote switch that's fine we have person barry so we're cured of our confusion that's okay air balloon pops light screen wears off perfect now if it goes for conf yeah so we just need to hit the confusion this turn because light screen wears off so now we can perfect perfect uh it really couldn't have done anything to us so that's fine zeb striker this is meaning we're gonna hit it before it can hit us right he goes up we go down and he comes down first missing us but we come up hitting him perfect this is fine galvantula this is almost certainly faster than us and it's almost certainly going to use giga drain snorlax is especially bulky so he shouldn't take too much damage he might both switch out but i'm not afraid that's fine that is fine because then we just get the free return on somebody else because there's no special move that they can do that can damage us amp ross right i guess we'll switch to you because you can take a you can take a crit focus blast and we're faster so we can out speed with return yeah that was the one thing that that was the one problem that i didn't want it's probably going to focus blast now so we can actually switch to you i like this because we're still faster and it's not going to confuse rate again thunder wave is fine because our ground type even if it wants it even if it wants to confuse ray it can't because we're faster so we go down that's perfectly fine alvangelo again this is going to be gigadrine luxray let's return here that's okay that's fine um his highest damaging move is probably crunch so we can switch into you and get an attack boost volt switch away that's a little bit subpar that's a little bit subpar i'm pretty sure he's faster pretty sure he's gonna thunder wave me or won't switch again he bolt switches we can dig or faster okay that means he's not volt switching oh i guess we are just faster never mind in that case we should have fire fang yeah i didn't realize we're faster okay we're definitely slower now there's a cherry berry and if we're faster then we should fire fang easy perfect intimidate should be fine for a one shot because he is only at to kill any of them so he starts with sandstorm hip hour on we're gonna peepee stall this hypodon out of thunder fangs earthquakes and stone edges so that all it has left is firefang once that only has firefang we're gonna kill it with crookedile and hopefully that'll give us the moxie boost to sweep the rest of his team it's now out of earthquakes i think crocodile and rydon both bait in seismitoad so i actually don't think it's right to kill this with crooked dial i think we just killed the hepaodon and peepee saw the seismite as well all right so next out should either be excadrill or seismatode yeah seismitoad okay of course so i think we pp stole this now right it's it's hydro pump into you right of course sludge wave okay i think this is equally likely to earthquake or hydro pump hydro pump does so much more to me that i think we just read the the hydro and we just go into miracus earthquake okay so it is 50 50. zorg takes the least from sludge wave so i think we switch into here yeah okay that's grass not all right window berry sludge wave again that's that should be fine um i'm actually not too sure what it wants to do but we need to kill it with crooked dial so we have to send in quicker down i don't think it's ice punch though i think he's sludge wave there because he's trying to read the hydro pump and sludge wave me on the turn that i switch in miraculous i kills but i'm definitely slower so there's no point roosting so we just brine swords dance so he so he definitely kills whatever is out next um does he go greedy and go with accessor to predict or fine and then he falls asleep right he falls asleep right there it is perfect and now i think he's guaranteed one turn sleep so we brine i think we're faster too more than half perfect we win we win because he's guaranteed sleep this turn and then and then we're faster next turn oh my gosh i think we got very lucky there with the miss on exca drill well he has crocodile left i didn't realize that it out the problem is that we don't have a fast electric sweeper so again we can get joltik here so i'm really hoping that we get him joel take elect fast electric fast electric so right now we have an imoga level 35 as our lead and we have a repel on so basically this is just to increase our chance of getting a level 35 haunter haunter bronzor haunter bronzer one of the two that's impossible oh yeah that was possible relaxed nature minus speed is not good but you are never fast in the first place synchronizing a minus speed plus defense nature uh and you motor drive plus special attack oh my gem strength into swanna perfect so both the mandibus and togekiss can't really do much to gyarados so i think gyarados ice fangs the gliscor right the most we take is like acrobatics and i think here dragon rush for they're both dragon types this is a dragon type nice critical hits nice this is arcanine close combat so we'll pivot into crobat first to take the close combat get the defense drop on him [Music] yep perfect then we switch into swamper on the wild charge while charged that's good and then earthquake to kill close combat shouldn't do too much that's fine and then now with the defense drop earthquake definitely kills i have no clue what the flygon's gonna do so i'll protect the scout outrage now that's locked into outrage we can switch into rydon and and ice fang kills perfect and they should kill perfect you see guys easy battle no nonsense bold nature is good regenerator plus attack minus speed dragon air and print plop defiant magna zone that seems good all right draden we've done some prepping hopefully this goes well okay so draden won't be as easy as he was in regular blaze black he is going to take a bit of work but i think we should be okay so he's going to start with a drutagon that's completely fine we're going to start with miractus so we're going to start off with a layer of spikes just to get rid of the focus ash on the haxaris and then it doesn't matter if he switches this out glare is completely okay let's switch into u so we have magnazone out now so that this dragon is pre-damaged before salamance comes in to kill we have slow analytic volt switch right we gave this a we gave this a full incense to make it even slower oh shoot is he going oh that means he's going for a dragon tail because he went last yeah because he went last he's going for a dragon tail in which case we don't want to go into the elements directly we want to go into you actually dragon tail um it should be okay whoever you bring out he's dead there so now so now he's just dead now we can basically sweep dragon pulse should be a kill this should kill him uh we'll take it over earthquake so the one problem with this is that haxorus is actually one point faster than us our dragon is fine we're faster so we can dragon claw to kill okay perfect flygon is also slower and it also dies through dragon claw hopefully we get the level up by the time hacksaws comes in oh i didn't even account for this i forgot to account for the intimidate he still has an altaria and kingdra left i think we have to switch into you now right you do so much damage what the hell why did you do so much damage don't crit don't crit don't crit don't crit perfect so now slow analytic volt switch should get this down to enough oh no we're fine we're fine because now we both switch into yeah we're so fine because now that we've both switched into salamance salmons can just kill the rest of the team right so hopefully we get enough experience to get the level up so dragon claw should kill we are faster oh he's faster oh thank god oh my god there's no way he's faster though right i know we're not max speed but we're three levels higher if if his solomons was faster than this hacksaws is definitely faster he might go for a dragon dance or he might go for an outrage i think he dragon dances though right he always dragon dances first or faster unless he's speed tied we might be steep we might be speed time okay we got lucky then we got lucky so lucky he could also be minus speed nature so we i wouldn't know okay well now we sweep right now we sweep they should kill oh boy that could have gone wrong yeah [Music] um worst things that worst thing that could happen was that we lose our ride on or magna zone but that's fine
