pointe shoe fitter reacts to DANCE MOMS

hey it's josephine from the point shop today i'm reacting to dance moms the girls audition for joffrey ballet school also i want to make a distinction there is joffrey ballet school and then the joffrey academy they're actually two different companies so the joffrey ballet school is the one that is in new york in san francisco texas they have all these remote schools joffrey academy is the one that's attached to the joffrey ballet in chicago so there is a difference just in case you didn't know i know it's very confusing i have not seen a single episode of dance moms i know it was a big thing and i know i should have been on it but i never did so i don't actually know what it's about so here we go how old is this girl i did not look like that when i was seven or six i don't know how old she is brooke make it look easy because that's what's impressive about you all judges have different opinions so they may hate tricks or they may love check generally they don't love tricks in the ballet world but you know do you boo blue what is up with all of these kids is this what children look like now because i i did not look like that when i was a child i had braces and i was awkward and weird [Music] wow the judges wow oh my gosh this is so funny competition dancers coming into a ballet audition and doing tricks is like the greatest thing ever all the judges are like what am i looking at right now this girl's eating her butt i'm not a fan of trick i've been to these studios they're beautiful i think this is the one in new york in a bucket outside got a bucket all doing tricks this is this is um interesting i'm more awkward for the judges you know when like you're watching in exchange and you're not part of the exchange but you feel awkward for them that's how i feel right now [Music] i hope i get the scholarship wow gymnastics [Music] you the judges watching the competition dancers is like me watching amazon reviews twirled a lot but you gotta tell whoever told you to shake your bum bum like that that they are a dum-dum hey oh told i should not be enjoying this this much no and i shake it pretty well [Music] whoever taught you to shake your bum bum [Music] wow there's a lot of non-ballet in this audition oh i guess they do a lot of different genres too for the joffrey ballet school really think you need that much makeup in a ballet audition [Laughter] dang i feel like the ballet world is like the last place you can say whatever you want wow that was two minutes of pure enjoyment for me not for them i don't know this is amazing i might get into dance moms i might binge watch that like the whole thing how many seasons are there no i won't okay so that was dance moms if you were into dance moms tell me what you think how is the rest of the season should i binge watch this i don't know let me know guys i'll see you later [Music] you
