PHOTOSHOP GENERATIVE FILL | Greyed Out | NOT SHOWING UP FIX (Easy Tutorial)

[Music] hi guys in this particular video I want to show you the error of not getting the generative field or when the generative field tool is grayed out and so guys the first thing you have to do once you want to use the generative tool is to select if you do not select let's go to Windows and then okay so it shows over here you cannot have the generative to you need to select first but once we select we still find out that the generative tool is grayed out and there is no way around it we try and we select again as to grade out we deselect now we try and then maybe use a different shape and then still deselect maybe use a different selection to all right and esto grade out that means we cannot use it okay but this particular Arrow or this particular issue is new to many people because this is a new feature out there and people are really kind of looking for answers and so that's what I want to address this now you can also go to edit over here and check for generative field it's still grayed out over here how do we solve this guys one like I said you need to make sure your selection tool is what you are using first before you can activate this generative field let's deselect it the other thing is that I want us to close Photoshop let's close Photoshop now I want you to right click it and then refresh right click right click refresh now I also want you to go and then make sure your Internet is on now once you have your internet on you can see over here my internet is now on now you can come back and open Photoshop okay so we have the eye image here again um let's go and see whether we can find generative fill it's still grayed out and we can't find generative full over here but guys once you select the area you are looking for you realize that it tends to generative field over here that means you can type and you can work and they can also come to edit and you can still find generative field also activated over here now guys here is there is the reason is that generative fail is a tool that is AI powered that means that it needs to work with the Firefly before it can really function oh well that means I need to connect to the cloud and if you can't connect to the cloud it cannot really work well and so that is the reason why we have that particular issue anytime we want to use a generative fill kindly put on your internet and then also make sure that an area is selected guys see you in the next video love you all see you in the next video
