creation we had a work to do for the kingdom before the return of jesus christ take it back take everything back take it all back grab ahold of what god promised you and take it out of the enemy's hands who am i talking to in this room god has rendered the enemy powerless we have to take on the very essence of jesus when he was on this earth our job is to preach with one voice one voice the we've been doing this every year consecutively but this year is different this year is a different year usually this place is packed to the rafter with people standing in the vestibule and people standing around the walls and usually this place can can't even hold the crowd but this year this year has been a different year this year has been a year of turmoil trouble this year has been a year of pandemic of death of sickness this year has been a year of economic downfall and political uprisings and racial discords this year has been a year of fighting of religion against religion this year's had a whole lot of things going on in it but despite what we've gone through we are here on this last day of 2020 to give god praise somebody here [Applause] somebody here [Music] we don't we don't do this just for the camera but we do this because if it had not been for the lord on our side if it hadn't been for jesus walking us through this year holding our hand taking us through these things and taking good care of us while we went through if it hadn't been for the lord on our side we would have lost it by now but everybody that's watching no matter where you're watching from everyone that's watching give god a shout of praise right now give it to him give it to him for your household give it to him for your families give it to him for your friends give it to him for your loved ones give that praise up to god because he deserves it he deserves it and so as everyone is in total discombobulation and don't know what to do usually there'd be two million people down in times square usually there would be so much going on in so much festivities watching the ball drop not this year it's not going to be anything like it was but just because times have changed doesn't mean that god has changed just because we're not doing what we're used to doing and the norm there's a new norm we're praising him no matter what situation we're in this is where true faith comes to play do i have anybody that's out there this is where true praise comes to play this is not an easy time and this is not an easy time to praise god but when you're totally convinced of who he is you thank him 365 days i won't complain i won't i won't complain there's been a lot of hurt a lot of loss but we will not complain we will not charge god foolishly but we will celebrate with every one of you watching from home we will celebrate with every one of you in different continents we will celebrate with every one of you in different countries we will celebrate on the islands we will celebrate no matter where we are one good time everything that happens scream out and give god a praise come on yeah yeah yes yes and i'm telling you the people that are standing on this stage are not privileged they've gone through such hurt and such problems the people that are standing up on the stage have gone through so much some have lost their family members their mothers some have lost their child stillborn some have lost so much and we're still standing here not because it's easy but because it's right not because it is something that that we have to do but it's something that we choose to do because we know who god is and whether it's good or bad whether it's a a a comfortable time or confusing time we will bless the lord so one more time for everybody that's watching for remind you of what i spoke about two nights ago on wednesday well last night on wednesday i'm going to remind you of what we spoke about and the message that we brought was simply this hitherto has the lord helped us in urban english that means god helped us all the way to this day that the only way that we got to where we are was god had to help us because we didn't have a plan we didn't know what tomorrow held we didn't know what we would have to deal with we didn't know the different pitfalls that would come we wouldn't know the pain of the loss that we'd have to suffer we didn't know what was going to happen from one moment to the next and if god had not helped us we would have surely buckled along the way we would have surely thrown in the towel we wouldn't have been able to make it but because of god he has helped us he has given us his hand he has given us his power he's given us his love and because of that we are here today about to step over into a brand new year [Music] oh yeah we are and some of us didn't think we were going to make it and some of us at one point didn't want to make it but god breathed new life into us and brought us to a point of understanding that there's a plan in 2021 that we've got to be a part of there's a plan that we've got to be a part of yes we do so as we go through these next hour and a half before we come into a new a new horizon a new dawning a new year we're going to sing we're going to speak we're going to encourage and i'm going to do some impromptu calling of people to give words of inspiration right now they're shaking behind me because they didn't know this before now but god bless your hearts we're going to get some words of inspiration because we're more than singers we are ministers of the gospel of jesus christ different continents that weighed in i think there was something like 46 or 47 countries it's amazing 46 to 747 countries not to mention all of the cities and states here in america so i just want to thank god for you and give god praise i thought i would have a list but i don't have a list with me right now but we thank god for every single one of you in every country thank you for sitting up until this hour of the morning with us enjoying a brand new year you all are in your new year in africa you are in your new year in europe you are in your new year over in the ukraine you are in your new year already in japan you are in your new year already in australia thank god you all hold it until we get there make sure keep it warm first because we're on our way we're going to join you in the new year in a few minutes but until then we're going to give god praise and we're going to worship god in our giving right now [Applause] this is the last seed of this year this is the last seed of this year and i want you to prepare your hearts and there's still so much that we're doing we refuse to let this incomplete stage this uncompleted work hinder us from bringing you tonight i don't care plywood everything it don't matter to me as long as we can bring jesus christ to every single one of you and the christians around the world celebrate this together you know god has been great to us and you have sown throughout this year and i want to thank every one of you for everything that you've given into this ministry all the resources that you've given it has not been in vain we've still used it to circle the globe with with ministry and missions we've used it in order to reach out to people across the waters and even across the street you've seen what we've been doing we make sure that we chronicle it so that you can see and it really the most of it we can't put on on screen because it's just too much the hands that make this thing work the lives that come in the people who sacrifice their time from perfecting faith church and even outside of perfecting faith church that come to make all of this happen it is a act and a labor of love for all the guys that are behind the cameras right now for all the jomo at the sound for everybody at the production board thank god for dean that's during the whole broadcast we praise god for everybody that's working this until the what she's trying to pull up right now she's trying to trying to pull that up so this way she can read what she wrote but it was really inspirational and when i read it i see there's a wealth in these ministries behind me yeah you can take a seat because your heels are hurting right now praise the lord you know beauty costs amen you know painful right now in jesus name you need to buy shoes the right size amen praise god but right now i i was reading and i i see the worth of so many of these people behind me that's greater than their singing and this preacher this minister is not just a good songster but she has words of inspiration and i wanted to take this moment right now slowly methodically just read to them what you wrote alyssa horton praise god as he says i have a journal earlier this year i lost a baby i had a stillborn and after that there were so many things that were going on through my mind and then i also almost lost my mom so i spent a lot of time in the hospital and just writing in my journal and um as he said i am going to read to you i am not a preacher i am just going to read what um i wrote so there are moments in your life that you may feel overwhelmed by life by people by your own issues by your own circumstances and by the demands of this world by your struggles and yes even by temptations and sometimes we like to think that life comes to us in courses but it does not in reality sometimes you go with 10 issues and they all hit you at the same time and it is not long before you feel overwhelmed and you say to yourself i can't take it anymore there are moments like that that comes into our hearts and our spirits and this is what the text is talking about it's coming to the church of corinthians and yes it's talking about morality and yes he's challenging sin and yes he's challenging all the issues that are prevailing against the church who has recently converted to christianity and the corinthian background when i was looking it up again this is my journal there was lust and selfishness and indulging in uh so much sin and promiscuity and now they're talking and now they're trying to walk circumspectly trying to be like god walking before god is not easy because we are in an era now where people think serving god is coming to church and now we actually are realizing that that is not the case that's right but if you really take seriously living for christ and have a conscious morality and responsibility there's a certain amount of pressure because there's a constant war going on in me and you probably between how you're supposed to respond and how you're tempted to respond i actually had a situation this week how i was tempted to respond but how i did respond have you ever had somebody say something to you and you just say pray jesus well that was me this week [Music] and i would just like to say that it's the holy spirit that actually will muzzle our mouth and it holds you down but it's not without restraint and it's not without pressure living this walk because there is another part of me that says oh if you just would have told them off girl you had you have sometimes you have a billion things in your mind that you could say to them you can say i can say this to them and when they said this i wanted to say this and this and you start rehearsing it and when we do this we are totally totally running away from what god wants us to be so these people in corinth are trying to fit into something that does not feel like them because when you put on christ you can't feel like you and you when you put on christ you are not you anymore i looked the city up and it was filled with so much so much orgies and so much things that are not of god and they were doing whatever they wanted to do however they wanted to do what is it uh yolo or lolo or whatever it is they embrace the spirituality the gifts of the spirit the working of the spirit moving of the spirit but when it came down to the morality that was associated with it it was not appealing to them at all and that was their struggle it was not fair to them that they completely had to change their course their habits it's not fair that you would expect anything of me god and paul writes to them there is no temptation not one not of any kind nor your style or bran or mind not your mood swing or my mood swing not your lust or my lust not your craving or my craving there is no temptation taking you but such is common to man then it says god is faithful that's the good part i love it didn't say we were faithful it said god is faithful who will not suffer you to be able to be tempted above you are able but it did not it didn't say he wouldn't suffer you to be tempted above your comfort it didn't say he wouldn't suffer you to be tempted above your convenience it said he will not suffer you to be tempted above that which ye are able but will with the temptation also make a way of escape that ye may be able to bear it able to bear it yes and if i had a text i would say i am the divine design we are his architect god is our architect that he has designed you like an architect designs a construct or a building you must understand that the architect never drives a bulldozer or picks up a hammer or nails or lays a brick he builds the building with specs to determine what grade of concrete what level of steel what type of wood can be put in the building he designs us and he determines how much weight that building can bear god knows the measurements the inches the centimeters the height the designs our strength and will and your personality your tenacity to determine what you are able to bear that's why i say do not compare yourselves to people do not say to god why is this person going through this and i am going through this why can't i have this life why can i have her life why can't i have his life because you were divinely designed and you are able to handle what god can put on you not anybody else if he was to put what he gave to you on somebody else they would not be able to bear it that's why you're not going through what people around you or your neighbor or your sister or your brother is going through because your test and your temptation is determined by your contract and god won't put on what he put on them because again you can take that you can take what he has given you you are not a mistake christ jesus gave it to you which means you can bear it you've been designed for it you've been designed for it but just because you've been designed doesn't mean you don't feel the head so remember when you face whatever you faced in 2020 whatever you faced in 2021 that's coming it's not going to be as easy as we think but know that i am divinely designed [Music] yes alyssa horton on saints come on come on come on sinks come on [Music] and uh and and all honestly i wasn't even expecting all of that but it is amazing what god gives because i could preach i could preach three messages off of that because it is so true that what he puts on us we have the weight-bearing ability to handle everything that god puts on us there's so much that goes along with the architecture there's so much that goes along with the divine design that is significant and unique to you individually it is your idiosyncratic divinely designed life that god is calling and you can take it and you have taken it you've gotten thus far hitherto hath the lord helped us you've gotten this far because god designed you for everything that you went through put those hands together one more time for alyssa woodside horton right now i'm going to ask for my sister matanya lormeal to come i'm going to ask for matanya o'neil to come she will tell you in her own words in the next five minutes she will tell you exactly what she's been through just as alyssa has 2020 was not an easy year for that young lady 2020 was not an easier for this young lady but god he's been our help and he will always be our stay put your hands together and give god praise for the inspirational word coming from matanya loremia so and from 2019 entering into 2020 my thought process was there is greater ahead not knowing what i will suffer not knowing what i would go through not knowing what was the next step in life not knowing how 2020 would come for me in my personal life and i just kept on telling myself there's greater ahead there's greater ahead there's greater ahead on good friday all i could remember from good friday is nine minutes 48 seconds i pushed i pushed i pushed trying and crying and pleading to god asking him please lord save my mother i pushed i began to get tired and i said i can't do this no more god i have to give up but i looked at my mother's face and i said keep pushing daddy keep pushing maddie i'm speaking to 9-1-1 operator i said i can't do this no more please hurry up please hurry up i can't do this anymore i watched my mother's lifeless body i watched her take her last breath i watched her tell me she loved me before she took her last breath but one thing that stuck out to me was the day before my mother passed away she said to me we got to get it right we got to learn how to forgive we got to learn how to love again we got to be able to give god praise the way that he destined us to give him praise we got to honor his word we got to walk in his will we've got to serve him no matter what we come across no matter what we face we've got to give god praise we've got to worship him but before he comes for his people he has to come for me so i can help him with the gathering of the people i didn't want to understand nor did i want to hear what she had to say but not knowing that little conversation we had the day before would be my push would be the push for me to go back and remember maddie you walked into 2020 saying that there's greater ahead so you can't allow this situation to tear you apart you can't allow this situation to bring in feelings that when the enemy finds room he says i got you and then he begins to bring confusion in your mind he begins to make you ask question am i depressed and it was this an anxiety attack what was this so today i sat down and i wrote something which i shared with my friend's family on facebook and i said i'm sitting here reflecting on 2020 and i'm forever grateful for life but i also feel upset hurt confused and i can keep going on but i'll stop right there this year and 2016 where i lost my dad was the worst years of my life the thoughts that ran through my mind no mother no father who would give you away when you get married who will teach you how to be your mother who would help you get dressed on your wedding day yes i do have a tribe and i do have sisters and brothers but it's different when you lose your parents so i would have to say what i felt this year could not truly words could not truly describe most of the times i stayed quiet while building up my strength to keep pushing on even when i was ready to give up i had to realize all these feelings there is still greater ahead and with thinking this way i am able to feel like i can take a breath because a few months ago i felt like i was holding on to my breath and fighting to breathe but with the strength that god has given me i am able to be grateful for the life that i have now and what's to come in the years ahead of me so even in my pain i praise him even in my hurt i give him thanks even in my confusion i call out his name this year your strength was tested your faith was tried your life was shaken you suffered loss pain hurt confusion depression and the list goes on but we can't remain captive to these feelings as there is life more ahead of us because we simply made it so i encourage all you in every walk of life no matter what is happening in your life big or small you matter and you will overcome be free live in victory 2020 you tried it you tried to hold me captive but sorry boo-boo i'm victorious and i will overcome your eyes is the sight to your vision look again and be there is greater ahead so i encourage you today to push past your pain push past your trouble push past it i am a living testimony that i am able to push that i am able to be here that i am able to come into 2021 giving praise i'm not in no mental institution i'm not laying in the hospital bed i'm not in my house crying i'm not in my house weeping and saying why me why me why me but i stand before you and i lift up my hands and i open up my mouth and i give him the praise that is due unto him because i know that there is greater ahead there is greater there is greater ahead and if i believe and you believe that there is greater ahead you got to be able to walk in your vision walk in your will walk in your strength god will never leave you no he will forsake you if he did it for me he will do it for you so right now in your homes wherever you are i encourage you push past it push past inspirational word and then i'm going to bring us into this scripture in 1st samuel the 7th chapter and we will not be long and we will go into the new year praising god we will cross over from 2020 with the praise we will say goodbye with the praise and we will greet the next year with the praise and how we end this year and how we begin the year is gonna be how we finish the year somebody give and he shouldn't be here but by the grace of god i'm telling you every one of these that have brought an inspirational word should have been taken out in this year that just passed well that's about to pass but god has been faithful damon horton [Applause] so i'm just going to talk to you so 2020 crazy i think we can all agree it's just crazy it's more than just covet 19 it was uh we watched a man get murdered by the police by the people that are supposed to protect us we watch the man get murdered live on tv um so much unjustness politics political it just seemed crazy just seemed like right was wrong and wrong was right did i say it yeah could we not agree on that and a lot of emotion a lot of things going on and particularly those of us that are in church and those of us that are believers we don't really like to dwell on the emotional things that are going on and how we feel we think we're our faith is lessened when you're discouraged or our faith is lessened or we don't believe right um when we look at things and go that's crazy wait a minute god that's crazy what is going on but the thing about god and the thing i love about him and the thing i love about his word is that whatever you need and whatever you're going through it's in his word he addresses it in his word so he led me to this uh psalm that i don't think i've ever read before psalm 73 and in this psalm it kind of captures how people have been feeling about this year how people have been looking at the unrest and the unjustness that seems to be going on and the writer kind of gets into it and and he you know just starts talking about his feelings about what he sees let me read you i'm not going to read the whole thing it start it's a psalm of asaph and it starts off saying truly god is good to israel to such as r of a pure heart and when i read that and then going on it reminded me of how you know we look at each other god is good all the time all the time god is good we know how to start off with the right thing you know we say the right thing we know we know how to say that but look how he changes in verse two but as for me my feet almost stumbled my steps nearly slipped for i was envious of the boastful when i saw the prosperity of the wicked for there are no pangs in their death but their strength is firm this year in the middle of this pandemic the only people that have really prospered are billionaires do you know that the billionaires are the people that have their wealth has increased until people have gone to 100 billionaires in the middle of a pandemic in the middle of everybody's suffering and all the people down you know down around my way we we're just holding on you know we get happy about twelve hundred dollars you know thank god for twelve hundred dollars and i want two thousand more truthfully but you see how the writer and he really goes on and really talks about i'm looking at everybody prospering that really shouldn't be prospering here i am you know we trusting god believing god trying to hold on trying to live a life and i'm watching everybody prosper but seem like the saints it here in new york we lost so many giants in the church so many generals in the church this year my mother and i came through covet 19 and i couldn't even i couldn't even be happy about it because i was so burdened seeing my friend's mother's past my friend's father's past these great people and i was going through i think they call it survivor's remorse and i was suffering with that and sometimes we don't really deal with our emotions because we think uh you know i'm not being super spiritual but here in this psalm god lets the man talk and god lets the man complain and then you go down i'm going to go down because i want to [Music] down to the 5th 15th verse he says if i had said i will speak thus behold i would have been untrue to the generation of your children and when i thought how to understand this it was too painful for me and people have been there this year it's just been too overwhelming this year and just speaking to i want to talk to the saints more than anybody else you just feel like you're being unfaithful to god because you're just overwhelmed in your emotions and you don't know what to do but then the answer comes in the next verse until i went into the sanctuary of god what to do when you don't know what to do you've got to go into his presence i know how hard it is sometimes to worship when things are going crazy i know how hard it is to see and say god you are good when everything else keeps burdening me down but when you go into his presence when you go into his presence you get understanding it says until i went into the presence then i understood therein you see when you get into the presence of god when you get into and you begin to worship him because you worship him about who he is who you know him to be it's and i've said this before it's like corrected it's like these glasses [Music] when i put them on i can see things clearly before they were blurry before they were askew but when i put the glasses on i can see clearly that's what worship does for the saints that's what worship does for you because you really understand that no matter what this looks like right around here god is still god [Music] you understand that no matter what's going on around you god is yet worthy to be praised in spite of all i've lost god is yet worthy of the glory in spite of all i'm going through i'm still here and if i'm still here then there's got to be more than this there's got to be more than this moment of loss there's got to be more than these moments of pain there's got to be more than these moments of depression and if i get into his presence i can make it a little bit further if i can get into his presence i get a little more strength if i get into his presence i realize who god is and i can bear this thing like elissa said you can bear this thing jesus goes into a town and there is a man full of full of demons and he comes running to jesus and worships despite all the demons he's got he comes running today jesus and he understands who jesus is and when jesus cast the demons out the demons ask can i go into the flock of pigs that are over there as soon as the demons enter the pigs the pigs jump off the ledge and kill themselves why did i bring that up because what that man went through for years for years those pigs couldn't take for two minutes of it [Music] in spite of the fact in spite of the fact of what you've been through what you've been through would have killed somebody else a long time ago but you were built to bear it you were made for this you were built to carry it what you would have went through the things that you have been through have killed some other people but you're still here and so we god is worthy of the praises he's worthy of the glory and we walk into 2022 2021 knowing that it can only get better and even if it gets worse i can still bear it because i'm not alone i can bear it because greater is he that's in me than he is in the world and greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world so whatever you're going through take a moment get into his presence and watch how you understand it better [Music] somebody give god praise for minister damon horton yes i'm telling you there's so much that was that was said there's so much that was said in all three of these inspirational moments that really it's not just a stop gap it's not just to fill time but it's to fill your heart it's not just to fill a space but it's to fill your heart with hope and give you an understanding that god he he hasn't even started using you yet you haven't even seen the better days that are coming and they are coming somebody give god a shout of praise for the better that is coming [Music] [Music] in just in just 16 17 more minutes we will be going into a new dimension hear what i'm saying and i know that people give prophetic words or semi-prophetic words every year but this i don't usually do i don't usually give something prophetic but there's something about to happen and it's a it's going to take us into another dimension of life another dimension of life all of us that have succeeded and and making it through this year you've made it through with purpose you made it through on purpose hallelujah because of the purpose that god has called you to you have gone through the darkest year in the history of our lives the darkest year in 100 years [Music] are you understanding whereas we came out of 9 2019 believing that we were going to come into a clarity 2020 clarity but what we came into was god opening up our eyes to understand that life is but a vapor and what we expect is not always what is in store what we expect is not always in store but one thing that we have always learned is that we trust in god and although we don't know what's coming at the next moment we do know this prophetically that god is going to cause these things to go away and god is going to cause us to increase we're about to step into not just another year but another dimension of life a dimension of evangelism a dimension where the usefulness of the obscure the ones who don't have the column or the chain the ones who don't have the certificate or the title he's going to bring us into a point where the usefulness of the ordinary saints the ordinary churchgoer is going to become so vital talk about essential workers we're about to see who essential workers are the preacher is going to stand in his place and he is going to give word to the people but the people are going to rise up hallelujah the power will be in the people not in the pulpit the people will rise up and they will hit the streets and they will turn lives over to jesus christ they will speak to co-workers and they will tell their testimonies how they made it through this year god will utilize the least of them to bring about salvation to many you are about to come into a level of usefulness that you never thought you could have it is not from the pulpit it is going to be from your place of worship it's going to be from your house from your home from your mouth from your life somebody praise god god is about to change your level and bring you into another dimension where you will be seen as useful in the kingdom the reason why he couldn't he didn't allow this to close your eyes he didn't allow your life to ever weigh god has you here for a purpose and he has he has literally brought you walked you day by day hour by hour giving you help when you needed it the bible says this in second first samuel is the seventh chapter the 14th verse it says this then samuel took a stone and samuel said it between mitzvah and shen and called the name of that stone that place where god worked a miracle you you you erect a monument where god worked a miracle so that if you ever forget you can turn around and look at it and remember what god did and so he put a stone there and called the name of it ebenezer ebenezer meaning hitherto hath the lord helped us as i said on last night and as i'll tell you again that just simply means that the only way i got here is god had to help me the only way that i made it through this is god had to help me i didn't have the strength i didn't have the fortitude i didn't have the wisdom i didn't have the wherewithal i didn't have the resources i didn't have the mentality i didn't have the insight the foresight i didn't know what to do the only way i could get to this point to this december 31st to these few moments before 2020 the only way i could get here through all the ups and downs through many dangers toils and snare the only way i could get here is i had to have supernatural help that would not run out on me when i failed that would not run away from me when i was wrong that would pick me up from the rubble of my mistake wash me off in his blood and put me back in place and say you are still my son god does not have a cancel culture [Music] god does not have a canceled culture by that i mean when you make a mistake then god x you out and says no i can't use you anymore you're too much of a mess we were a mess when he called us we we we were a mess he didn't call perfect people he called people who were a mess and he loved us and he washed us and he aided us and and pledged to us that he would never leave us he made a pledge to a broken people he made a pledge to a worthless people he made an oath to people who he knew had no ability to pay him back god made an oath that i will never leave you as he said in job the fifth chapter in your sixth trouble and even in your seventh trouble he said i will be with you no matter what you go through god said if you trust me i will be with you i will be with you a flood i will be with you i will be with you [Music] we will be with you [Music] i will [Music] be with you [Music] trust me trust me like we have never seen before god is about to show you who you are and the reason why death couldn't take you out god is about to show you your usefulness for he has a divine purpose and a divine plan you are the divine design of god and god is going to show himself through you and whatever you yes god yes god and what hear me god just said whatever you need in order to do it he is about to supply every bit of it your need and your lack will not hinder you any longer god said i am about to supply everything you need in order for you to be freed up to do what i've called you to do and be who i've called you to be i've helped you thus far and you're about to see a surge of supernatural help that can only come from god if you believe that give god praise right here [Music] trust me god overcome as soon as the clock strikes 12 you will have overcome the hardest year in existence because of the grace of god i wish i had somebody who understood the true severity of what we've just experienced this is not just a cliche that we say with every year but you in a few minutes in just three more minutes you will have endured and come through the hardest year of existence in our generations if it had not been if it had not been for the lord who was on our side and he is on our side if god before us what in 2020 could be against us you heard from a woman who suffered a miscarriage carried the baby for weeks in her stomach still with no life and had to deal with this and not lose her mind it was nothing but god that helped you heard from a woman who had to apply pressure for nine minutes on the chest of her mother and watched the life head out of her and say goodbye to her mother during this covert [Music] and not lose her faith in this god it's only the lord that helped you heard from a man who's severed some things in his life that only god could get him through and god's not even through with him yet and the testimonies are replete throughout this whole entire room and even through this camera there are so many things that you have not said that you will say for your testimony will bring deliverance to many people in just one and a half more minutes
