Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
On a similar note, I hate when subs don't include things like background conversations/billboards/etc. I hate having to pause to read whenever there's a lot of text on the screen, but I'd much rather do that than miss out on the info.
My friend once watched Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka with a fan-sub that didn't include Eu's notepad translations. He dropped it and told me how bad the anime was since he had no idea what she was saying. Gave him a proper sub and he enjoyed it luckily.
Strangely enough, I could keep up with the flashes of texts in Monogatari for the most part. After watching a lot of anime, and reading a lot of books, I can pretty much read those stacks of text before they finish talking. There are exceptions though.
This is what you do
Edit: Wow. Who'd have thought Madara would be gilded? Thanks :)
Literally Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan in a nutshell
I love how more and more ridiculous it got. I think at the end you had
All talking at once.
How to train your eye muscles

Funimation are horrible at this. They just stacked everyone speaking at the same time on top of each other.
Holy shit I hate that! I without fail get a minor headache from trying to focus on what's going on screen, listening to the voices, and trying to read multiple subtitles at the same time, I eventually give up and just focus on one of them.
Quite confusing with stuff like Steins;Gate. They had SMS/message board text whilst the characters were talking, sometimes they were reading aloud sometimes not, hard to keep track of... One thing even worse than this though was the interpreter scenes in Black Lagoon S2.
