Peak Season - Amazon Prime Delivery Associate Van Loading Demonstration

[Music] hello to all you wonderful people thank you so much for being here i really appreciate it first of all i just wanted to say thank you so much to all of you who watched commented liked and just supported me in the last video that i made i totally made that just simply for my friends and family to see what a typical day in my life looks like when i'm at work and we are currently now up past 20 000 views um so i am just honestly kind of overwhelmed by that fact i was not expecting to have so many people watch it but anyways again thank you so much for just the um support and um all the views and likes and comments and everything i appreciate it more than you guys know i figured in order to celebrate the over 20 000 views i would make another video um there were some of you that had commented and asked if i would make another video i haven't really had that chance only because i've been doing a lot more of dispatching these days than i have been driving i haven't been driving much at all and so a lot of my time is taken up by answering questions that drivers have sending them on rescues and doing stuff like that at the end of the night when all things are said and done so anyways today i'm going to um show you guys how to efficiently load a van when you have 300 plus packages um that can be quite a lot but there is ways that you can get around it and still have space in your van to walk around so now let's get on with the video hey guys so today i'm going to be showing you how to load your van when you pick up your packages from the station as you can see here what i'm doing is laying the bags sideways and stacking them too high on the shelf so i put the second bag that i will be using on the bottom and then the first bag that i'll be working out of on top of that one next i put the fourth bag that i will be working out of on the bottom of the shelf and now here i am putting the third bag that i will be working out of on top of that one so from here i'm just continuing on with that pattern in first of all putting the six bag that i will be working out of first and then i will be putting the fifth bag that i will be working out of on top of that one so this way they are in order of how we'll be delivering them i can grab the first bag off of the top then i can grab the second bag third bag fourth bag and so on so i will continue in this order until i am finished you can fit five stacks on the top of the shelf and so 10 bags all together are going to fit on that top shelf there so i'm working on putting my eighth bag up right now they can get a little bit heavy so it can be a struggle at times but it is totally doable and definitely worth it to fit as many bags as you can on the one side of the van so currently i am putting the 10th bag on top there and then i will go from there and putting bags on the bottom of the shelf or below the shelf i should say so i am now finished with the top shelf i fit 10 bags there and so i will then start putting bags below that shelf i will put the 11th bag that i will be working out of towards the beginning and the 12th bag next and so on from here why i'm putting them looks like i'm putting them out of order but i'm actually putting them in order because they were not loaded correctly on the cart but anyways as long as you know which bags are coming first you'll know which way to load them and you can fit seven bags below the shelf which puts it at a total of 17 bags all together on the one side and that is probably one of the most efficient ways to fit the most bags that you can possible on that one side if you were really in a tight fix and had to put a lot more than that you could put them you could put the shelf up and stack them probably four high on their side and could fit a lot more but that's just how i did it at this point so now what i'm doing here is i'm just going to be loading my oversize onto the shelf and underneath the shelf that way leaves plenty of space for the oversize that you do have personally for me i do not really organize them in any particular way some people like to try to but i feel like at this point it's just a waste of time so i just load them all in and um load them in a way that i can easily see the yellow sticker so that when i'm looking for an oversized later it's easier to find but yeah like i said from here i will just continue to load my oversize and yeah that is about it so so alright [Music] so at this point i am pretty much just finishing up with the oversize um here you see i have someone that comes and helps me and just helps me finish loading the rest of my packages this day was definitely not a lot of oversize some days there's a lot more and some days we have less so here we i definitely didn't have a ton as you can see there's plenty of space left over i have a nice aisle for walking and will be really easy to find my oversize when i go to deliver them you can just sit over here thank you so much no problem so this is the finished product of what a fully loaded van looks like and as you can see i have a little bit of space here at the front as well for if you had more than 17 bags so there you have it the bag's easily accessible in order of the stops you will be making perfect for a quick and easy delivery hey guys thanks so much for taking the time to watch this today i hope you learned a
