The producers love fucking around
TIL not everyone can tell this show is completely fake.
Even my grandmother knows how to pronounce Pokemon, obviously the producers told him to pronounce it like that.
The theatrics of this show is annoying. The classic old guy calling them "pokemans," despite being corrected, to antagonize the customer and seem like he's above the guy's collection is patronizing.

Wanna sell your Pokemans huh? Best I can do is insult you and demean your very lucrative hobby.
When he pointed out the 10 card that is the only one in existence, the set immediately jumped in value. All together he estimated 350K+, but that's probably for an outright sale of each card, accumulated.
At an auction, the set itself may draw up to $1M+ to a rich fan. The guy's disappointed, but if he holds onto those cards, he's sitting on a literal gold mine. They are incredibly unlikely to devalue with how popular the franchise has become.
Does anyone have any idea of the true value of these? I was into Pokémon as a kid, and have a Charizard card that I got in one of those foil 10 packs in about 1999. I put it in a hard plastic case immediately because I thought one day I might be able to sell it, because I was 13 and naive. Is it actually possible it has value enough to go through old boxes to sell it?
