earlier i got a call from a guy selling a classic mustang so corey and i are on our way to go check it out so this is it huh this is it a 68 mustang fastback gt this is what we're here for yes we're definitely here for this this is the coolest car ever made possibly this is the car that steve mcqueen used to drive it's not the actual car steve mcqueen drunk one exactly identical to what he had in bullet he had a 68 mustang gt fastback right this is the quintessential muscle car it's 1968 movie bullet comes out it was the greatest car chase scene in the history of all movies and they have no special effects or anything like that this is it steve mcqueen was one of the biggest movie stars of the 60s and the 70s i'm a huge fan and it's not just me there's a ton of die hard mcqueen fans out there that i can sell this to i want it you want to sell this right i want to sell it how much do you want for it i got to get 20 grand out of it when this car is like new again it will be worth around a hundred thousand dollars let me have a friend come down and take a look sure gentlemen goodness gracious steve mcqueen machine i own counts customs right here in las vegas we specialize in building anything cool with an engine let me ask you how long have you had it for about three years nice i mean i just love this car i mean this is the quintessential muscle car please talk about it buying it rick besides corey what are your concerns i just want to make sure it's a gt and i need to know if i can get it back to beautiful condition without putting me in bankruptcy court okay take a peek man there's no rust rot in it it's just surface rust this ain't rust it looked like somebody used some sort of a chemical stripping agent on it that makes it look like that sexy the way all the door gaps line up the way the doors open and close i mean it's solid now let's take a look at the uh the sole of this beautiful baby right here it is the factory engine 5-liter 302 engine that's correct that's exactly what's supposed to be in here so is it a gt looks like a gt to me brother and it looks like a nice one believe it or not it's this grill with the fog lights built into the grill things like the gas cap that's all factory gt items so what do you think it's worth i would comfortably put this car anywhere between [Music] and 15 000 as it sits right now okay all right man if i buy it i'll give you a call i'll be waiting for that call corey most people would look at this and think it's a pile of garbage it'll be a bit of a challenge to make it perfect but it's a gem i'll give you 10 grand for it oh i got to have more than that i'll come down a little bit but i can't come down that much that's half of what i was asking my guy just said it was worth 12 dude i need to get 15. i'll go 11. i mean basically it's just gonna sit around here and rot it can't get worse here i'll keep it inside out of the weather can you come up any how about 12. how about twelve five that's the least i can take twelve five all right it's a deal okay i hope that they'll be able to take it and do the work to it that i haven't been able to do to it because the car well deserves it all right so where are we at it's top secret i'm just hoping you're not breaking me out here to bury me or bury the car this is vegas you know so you really did bring us out here to kill us [Music] we've been working around the clock to get this bullet mustang ready for rick harrison and after everything we've been through with her she's finally ready for the road so i've got kevin bringing rick and cory out to the desert so they can see what this baby can do well there's something coming this definitely doesn't look like the piece of crap we bought oh wow that's not the same car is it what's up jen my god man that thing is amazing [Music] beautiful it came out gorgeous oh this is cool man i poured my heart and soul into it just like i was building for myself this is just absolutely amazing glad you dig it brother i'm looking at this car and everything about it's amazing the paint job the chrome the wheels i mean this car used to look like a piece of now it's one of the prettiest cars i've ever seen in my life sexy that's amazing what'd you do to the motor everything well that's definitely not stock [Laughter] i mean we took this car down to the last nut and bolt it's a very very happy motor dude that's amazing so i'm assuming it costs more than 15 grand to fix well you know let's talk about that later let's go for a drive first man before i tell rick how much we ended up spending on the bullet i want to get him out on the road so he can see just how bad this car is hopefully he won't be too mad when he hears we went over budget [Music] all right [Music] this is amazing [Music] this is literally the fountain of you oh look at me in the mirror i'm 22 years younger danny really did this car perfect and the whole fact that it looks exactly like the car in the movie is a big deal i'm a big steve mcqueen fan i mean he was the king of cool this thing's amazing dude i'm going to own this car for a long time oh yeah [Laughter] nice look i grew hair danny told me he'd get this thing done for fifteen thousand dollars i think it's gonna go way over that okay so i'm imagining it cost more than the 15 to 20. it did i definitely blew past our budget i know we were trying to keep it as close as we could to 15. uh i've got you know 22 in it i mean honestly if you would have told me 35 i would have thought that was a deal but uh hey i don't got to pay that thanks man as long as you're that happy i'm that happy i bought the car for 12.5 danny only charged me 22 to fix it which means i'm in the entire thing 34.5 and literally the car's worth 50 or 60. or the way i'm looking at it i think the thing's priceless nice man i'm really proud of our team you know rick is happy and we made a believer out of corey yep you hungry i'm always hungry i know you guys well i asked let's go get something to eat man i'm starving [Music] i'm stopping by the pawn shop today to show rick this volkswagen thing that he thinks i snagged out from under him are you really going to buy my high school car i didn't plan on this man it just happened actually we've been working like mad on it to get it in mint condition for him you see i want this thing to be ten times better than the thing that he drove back in the day you see rick's getting married soon and i can't wait to see the look on his face when i tell him that this volkswagen thing is a gift from me to him what's up rick hey brother what's going on how are you my man doing good man i get to come through the front door this time i don't think i've ever seen this part of the shop i'm always you know the guy that you keep out in the alley how's business business is good life is good about to get married awesome dude i heard about that getting married things about time okay actually in all honesty i i did come down because i guess something i want to show you okay what do you got uh it's a car i figured i figured you would dig it all right you got it you got a couple bring in the warehouse so we don't got to deal we're on back yeah i'm gonna run around back right now danny wants me to look at a car i don't know why usually i call him to look at a car he's just being a little weird but you know it's danny so what the hell [Music] oh my god what do you think man so you came by to tease me with it i figured you would like this bro well i would have liked it if you didn't steal it out from under me steal nothing steal nothing so you just sort of came over to rub it in my face i wouldn't say rub it in your face i just wanted to show off to you because we put a lot of work into it since the last time you saw it man yeah and and i just i love these i've always been into volkswagens this one drives awesome walk around this thing man look at this thing with me man she's beautiful all this powder coating the new paint job custom made these fenders with a nice roll to them new top you see this interior oh i just really needed to know that i got a thumbs up from you on this man so have i got have i got thumbs up on this [Music] yeah it's a really cool car and i'm glad you dig it because you're getting married i wanted to say congratulations in the right way far and i can tell you my instincts aren't going to change rick he deserves an awesome gift for his wedding naturally it's going to be a car but it's going to be a sentimental car something that talks to his heart now you got to take your beautiful bride in your high school sweetheart car and go to the drive-ins or something like this oh yeah we're we're going to take this thing our cruiser it's been over two years since we started this project but finally chumley's beautiful 1963 lincoln continental is done after we discovered all of the paint prep work was incorrect done by someone who obviously no longer works for me here counts customs we had to take this car apart and start from scratch we got her completely sandblasted put her all back together all new bodywork got the gorgeous black paint job all new interior all new chrome this car is so badass i know that when chum sees her he ain't going to want to sell her you ready for this lincoln bro are you ready years ago don't be doing that don't be doing that to me man i can tell you this though i'm thrilled it's bad bro it's so classy man it's so classy chum you're gonna love it man you're gonna love it i'm excited to see it i think it's gorgeous let's roll this 63 out and show this man his beautiful lincoln [Applause] [Music] the grill on that thing alone come on outdid yourself this time boys yeah oh yeah brother this thing is sweet she's all you man check her out soak it in chum leave my brother what's going on in your head just give me a minute to look at this pretty smile and that beautiful reflection this 63 continental needed everything we stripped this car down and we worked every inch completely overhauled the engine and transmission gave it a brand new all-black interior all new chrome custom 22 inch wire wheels and topped it all off with a mirror finish black paint job that is simply stunning she's sexy check it out man wander around so is the back as pretty as the front dude she's just beautiful everywhere the chrome is disgusting it's so beautiful it has that feel of a classic luxury car but it just looks like a muscle car factory with the suicide doors in the back come on i love this look at that look at that come on don't mind if i do [Music] yeah look at you man classy man classy excuse me do you have any grey poupon but of course the long wait was worth it car's been here forever but it's beautiful it's perfect everything's done right i'm excited to actually get the car home so i can get it listed on the internet and flip it i need to make some money brother man your chariot awaits you're driving now all right we'll go for a cruise baby building this car turns from a really fun project to a huge headache taking a hit on that incorrect primer still leaves a bad taste in my mouth but in the end this car came out gorgeous and i know if chumley turns a big profit on this ride he's gonna be back to do it again we've always had a great relationship with chum lee and all the guys from the pawn shop and it just keeps getting better and better i'm surprised you didn't try to keep this yourself well you know it's got a for sale sign on [Laughter] let me tell you something when we're done with this i want hundred dollars and i just want all hundreds oh yeah i hope you have 509 i don't have 500 off kevin thinks he's got this whole bet in the bag but what he doesn't know is that i've already talked to a buddy of mine who happens to be in the market for a nice pool table now i've put about 7 100 total in this project i'm not looking to make a big profit on this i'm just looking to make sure i take kevin's money i think you're going to dig this brother when's the last time you've seen a pool table like this um i can't say that i ever have when i first saw the pool table it was definitely not what i was expecting but actually i think it was pretty bad 1961 ford falcon ranchero or at least it used to be we just basically put the front connected it to the back built the pockets into the steel all the way around it pool table is a real table four foot by eight foot and the artwork is out of control man pretty crazy huh that's amazing it is pretty amazing [Laughter] so what exactly possessed you to make this well restoring it turned out to be a little bit more involved so we cut it up and we made this really crazy pool table so do you level it by putting air and the tires you can do that absolutely man she's a little high in this corner there you go it's all set up man i actually think the pool table will sell i mean it is really cool it is sort of a piece of art you know i'm thinking i could sell it for 10 but i don't know if that's gonna be a week from now or two years from now so how much you're looking to get out of this it's mainly artwork well and of course the metal fab and everything so i got a lot of hours in it but i got to get like about nine grand out of the thing what do you think i don't know [Laughter] this would look great in your house wouldn't it i'm not really allowed to buy the furniture well see the same furniture this is artwork all right uh a cultured man like yourself i know you recognize good artwork um give me five grand hey man right at the knees right at the knees there's no way in hell that danny is selling this table for a profit so i'm feeling good about my 500 it's just what do i want to do with my money you know it's there so can you just do me 8 500. i'm thinking more like the seven ballpark i can't it's only because i got more than that you got to deal with me i just tell you no don't of his employees he's not very good with the customers he doesn't deal with him a lot but when he does he needs some work oh nice i got it so i told them you know what come over to my shop i'll put them out on the sales floor we can work with them do i seem more professional it's polishing a turret dude half the game has got to look like you know what you're talking about hello can i help you sir just give a good explanation of what we have be nice yes ma'am no ma'am yes sir no sir you can do that can't you yeah get out there interact with customers you might learn something okay [Music] okay you don't ask him what his credit card limits are i wanted to make sure you had enough that's all no all right i got you i'm not you know what for that i don't know if it's mike's customer interaction he's ranking a negative number i mean on a scale of one to ten it's like negative five right now he's blowing it can i see that this one yeah that's beautiful you're quite beautiful sitting outside man you ready to see this baby let's go look you're gonna love it man come on come on mr h i gotta tell you i am definitely excited for you to see this car sir it's about time it is all right rolly you know mr h how are you doing roller good thing how's it look to you sir looks beautiful this is a car yes sir like richard senior himself this car is a true original besides a few modern touches like air conditioning she's restored like the day she rolled off the production line we stayed away from compatible parts almost stock parts and fancy schmancy 3d printer parts richard senior and i got no time for that she's got a 413 chrysler under the hood and torque flight transmission and all new chrome and of course we found the original taillight lenses to replace the old burnt up ones to complement the awesome black and chrome exterior the interior is black and white tuxedo style upholstery old school classy as it should be just like the man who'll be sitting in the driver's seat take a good look at this baby all this chrome all this trim it's got more chrome than most peterbilt trucks i don't know see how straight the body came out all the door gaps look at that interior boss black with the white inserts the only one was a square steering wheel i know man that steering wheel is crazy she's beautiful back in the day when this thing was new i couldn't afford one they cost as much or more than a rolls-royce did back then they were the ultimate high-class driving machine yeah we rebuilt everything the engines rebuilt transmissions suspensions brakes all of it put a new ac compressor on it oh it's just beautiful it is ready to go oh yeah this is a rare car so you know finding parts and rebuilding stuff you know it just took it just took extra time yeah i appreciate you being patient with it even though i know you were kicking me in the butt every week that's all right oh well you deserve it i know i do was it worth the wait anytime you get something this beautiful you can wait on it amen danny did an outstanding job he outdid himself with an imperial it's one of a kind i don't think there's another one in the country that will matter this far it's a class ride that's for sure amen brother i'm glad you're happy and i have good news for you too more time you told me to keep it between 25 and 30. i may have a little bit more in it but we're family so we're just gonna call it 30 and call it a day maybe i can get a store credit or something it sounds like a plan you're awesome boss you're awesome it goes without saying that i'm ecstatic that richard senior is happy with his chrysler i love doing work for mr h and for everybody over at the pawn shop they've done a lot for me over the years and i love it when i can return the favor to them anytime i can you
