greetings everyone hope all of you are having an absolutely fantastic day we are back again with more Pathfinder right after the righteous let's talk about skull the class that lets you spread your rage to empower allies we've already reviewed these mechanics in my 25 Base Class mechanics video which is linked in the description below overall I ranked this class in S Plus being able to select Barbarian rage powers and spread them around to your entire party is bananas in my opinion scald is the only real competition Brown for a transmitter has for the best support class in the game the first archetype is Battle Scion your bardic knowledge ability gets downgraded to the point you only receive a bonus on knowledge World checks for half your level whether or not this is a big deal obviously depends on the makeup of your team but I lean towards it being slightly impactful in exchange you get courtly presence which adds half your character level to any intimidation check X this isn't useful because persuasion checks can easily be covered by party members intimidation bills can be great but I don't think it makes much sense to go that Direction with a scald at level 3 you get your first ranking battle Powers which combines teamwork Feats and rage Powers into one list for you to choose from teamwork feeds you select will apply to the entire team while you rage keep in mind this mechanic Works significantly better than the tactician classes we have covered because it's not long before you can easily keep rage on at all times despite that I am torn on this change on the one hand taking the teamwork beats probably saves a feat for multiple party members that they can then dedicate to other areas on the other hand there are so many great rage powers to give your team and you don't want to delay that for teamwork feeds on lean towards is really not being all that useful and therefore rank this class to see battle Scion doesn't serve a purpose it's redundant what's called while providing some flexibility that's nice in theory but in practice doesn't actually help you the baseball class is better next on the list is Battle singer you lose three rankings of Rage Powers which is deeply impactful but you get an alternative song in each case in exchange for this you get battle song first verse which lets you as a standard action will run round of performance damage enemies in a 15-foot cone the damage is 1d6 per two scald levels and it's Sonic which the vast majority of enemies are not resistant to enemies can have the damage by passing a fortitude save but if they fail it they are staggered on top of this the ability is not subject to spell resistance it's an absolutely fantastic early game option that will let you decimate hard to hit foes at level 9 you get battle song second verse which calls two rounds of performance instead of just one in addition to the standard action and hits all enemies in a 50-foot radius with 1d6 per two skull level Sonic damage if enemies fail their fortitude save they are stunned for one round and then staggered for a round casting second verse within two rounds of first verse empowers the ability which will increase your damage significantly at level 15 you get battle song Final verse which calls two rounds of performance and allows you to Target one enemy for one d8 Sonic damage per skull level if the enemy fails a fortitude saving throw they are stunned for one round and staggered for 1d4 plus one rounds if they pass the save then damages half but they are still staggered for one round if you use this ability within two rounds of first verse it is empowered and the DC increases by two if you use it within two rounds of second verse the ability is maximizing the DC increases by two as well obviously this is a really useful collection of abilities that can help you all throughout the game is it as useful as the rage Powers you've lost access to that could have been given to the whole team I I'd argue the answer to that is no also keep in mind that there's virtually nothing in this game that interacts with Sonic abilities so unlike fire which has items and Mythic abilities that enhance what you can do the Sonic abilities will pretty much always be the same I give this class A B it provides an interesting play style but at the end of the day it's not as good as plain old scald next up we have court poet you lose the ability to inspire rage and all rage Power Rankings which is a massive sacrifice that deeply impacts this class you also lose well versed which doesn't really matter that much finally you lose song of strength which might be impactful depending upon your scald build in exchange for all of this you get insightful contemplation which provides a morale bonus of up to plus four to the intelligence and Charisma scores of your entire team while also increasing their will saves morale bonuses to your attributes scores are extremely rare So this almost certain only Stacks what you already have and will make a big difference at level two you get a bonus of plus one to AC when adjacent to two or more creatures and you can add half your squad level to persuasion checks this is not particularly useful as plus when the AC doesn't mean much and persuasion can easily be covered by party members at level four you get your first rank of insightful spell which adds a bonus of up to plus five to dispel damage of your entire team obviously if you're running with a lot of spell casters this will be very useful at level 6 you also get song of inspiration which can add half your skull level to wisdom checks for the entire team depending on the enemies you are facing this could be very useful so it's definitely nice to have overall I give this class an a basically if your team is melee heavy go with scald but if it's magic heavy go with court poet that being said I think skull does more for melee allies than corporate does for your magic group so I rank it lower next we have demon dancer you lose all rankings of Rage Powers which is impactful but it is replaced by a different mechanic in exchange you get four rankings of fiendish maul which provides all allies with a bite attack that steadily increases in damage if you have a melee heavy party an extra attack never hurts so this is beneficial at level 6 any enemy that strikes you in melee receives 1d6 piercing damage if you are playing with a melee build you'll get struck all the time and this will definitely stack up at level 7 the attack and damage bonuses from your inspired rage ability increase by two however if an affected character stops attacking or changes targets they will take 1d6 plus your scald level damage this makes it more difficult to switch gears and decide another opponent is a higher priority Target than the one you are currently attacking the bonus is definitely nice but personally I am not a fan of this finally at level 9 you get an r that damages any surrounding good aligned creatures and gives them the shaking status neutral creatures are only shaken while evil creatures are unaffected even if you are a scum-sucking Despicable demon the amount of good aligned creatures your face can fit in the thimble there are more neutral creatures but a lot of them are constructs who cannot be shaken this ability isn't very useful overall I get this class A B minus considering the other scald options I don't see a reason to pick this next on the list is Herald of the horn you lose Lore Master which could be impactful if you are using this called as a skill monkey in exchange you gain Arcane bond which lets you restore one spell slot this can definitely be useful so its addition is welcome at level 7 you can increase the DC of your Sonic spells by up to plus three skulls get the shot line of spell so depending on your play style this could definitely be useful as well at level 11 you get crumbling blast which will do five D6 points of Sonic down Mr creatures within a cone at level 17 this is upgraded to 10 D6 points of damage obviously this damage is nothing to sneeze at especially since most enemies cannot resist Sonic damage but again you don't get nearly as many ways to increase that damage overall I ranked this class in s the Sonic abilities don't really mean much because more than likely you are focusing on melee to take advantage of all the great rage Powers Arcane bond is useful in theory but in practice most of what you'll focus on will tie in with your rage powers and stay on for long stretches of time being able to regain one spouse slot won't help you much long term so honestly it's an S because of everything skald does and not because Harold the horn is so great which is why I slightly downgrade it quick note before we review hunt caller if you enjoyed this video I would really appreciate you subscribing and hitting the like button this information tells me which content the channel is enjoying and helps my video spread to more people I really appreciate all of the support all right finally let's go over hunt caller you lose two rankings of Rage Powers which is a big sacrifice you also lose well versed which doesn't really matter you lose song of strength which again is probably impactful depending on your build finally you lose song of the Fallen which I don't consider to be a big sacrifice but it's definitely noteworthy in exchange for all of this you get the ability to give your entire team blind sense blind sense is not to be confused with blind sight which allows you to ignore many forms of enemy concealment and prevent them from taking your dexterity bonus to Armor class when they are attacking from stealth blind sense does not do any of that and it's basically worthless in addition to this you get three rankings of b shape which you can apply to your entire team while in this shape party members cannot use abilities or spells this ability has its uses for a melee heavy team but overall it isn't all that great I rank this class in F considering the other scald options available I don't don't think there's any reason to take this whatsoever that wraps up my rankings for scold in all of its archetypes in summary I ranks called S Plus battle Scion C battle singer B Court poet a demon dancer b-minus Harold of the horn s and Hunt caller F hope all of you enjoyed this video if you did please leave me a like share this content and subscribe to the channel if you haven't already I will see you all in the next video take care
