greetings everyone hope all of you are having an absolutely fantastic day we are back again with more Pathfinder Wrath of the righteous during this video if I reference mechanics from a base class that you are unfamiliar with there's a link in the description to my 25 Base Class mechanics video that will provide more information alright let's get back at the prestige classes starting with Dragon Disciple to get this class you must have a ranking of five and knowledge Arcana and you must be able to spontaneously cast first level Arcane spells in addition you cannot be an imperial Sage or Sylvan sorcerer there are a lot of classes that can do this easily such as bloodrager Magus or other sorcerer archetypes the earliest you can get this class is level six at level one you get a draconic bloodline just like what's available to a sorcerer or blood rager and if you have levels in those classes then they will be applied to the bloodline potentially providing you with more spells if you don't have sorcerer levels then you just start the bloodline at level one how awesome this is obviously depends on your build but I think it's pretty cool you also get an increase of up to plus three to your natural armor and this Stacks with other sources of natural armor bonuses such as bark skin or legendary proportions obviously this will make you more tanky at level 2 you get Arcane spell casting which works just like the Arcane trickster version allowing your base class to continue gaining spell levels while you level as a Dragon Disciple the difference is you do not gain spell levels at level 1 5 and 9 so there is a sacrifice here at level 2 you also get your first rank of ability boost strength which can provide you a bonus of up to Plus for the strength this is a big deal because the bonus is untyped which means it will stack with any other bonuses that you have you also gain a bite attack that gains an increase in damage at level 6. bite attack stack so this will help you even if you already have a bite attack from your base build and extra attacks are always nice at level 3 you get a breath weapon whose type and shape is determined by the bloodline you select the advantage of breath weapons is that a save only has the damage so if you are facing an enemy that you just cannot hit for some reason this might give you a useful alternative albeit for only a little bit of damage all this together means that the four levels you get plus two AC plus four strength a bite attack a breath attack a draconic bloodline that might give you more spells and you still gain three levels of spell progression that is undoubtedly one of the most powerful four level dips in the entire game at level 5 you gain blind sense which is completely different from blind sight blind sense does not help you attack or protect yourself from invisible attackers and therefore it's useless at level 6 you get a plus two untyped bonus to Constitution this isn't a game where unique Constitution to be really high so it's not that helpful but no reason to turn your nose up at an attribute increase at level 7 you get Dragon Con 1 and you gain Dragon kind 2 at level 10. this is very useful because both spells will give you bite claw and Wing attacks more attacks give you more opportunities to trigger Critical Hits which you have hopefully set up your team to take full advantage of at level 8 you get a plus two untyped bonus to intelligence whether or not this is useful obviously depends on your class at level 9 you get wings which gives you a plus three bonus to AC and makes you immune to difficult terrain and other ground-based effects definitely nice to have and makes you more tanky overall I ranked this class in s there is no reason to get more than four levels but those four levels will help make you an absolute monster the only thing keeping dry Dragon Disciple from being S Plus is the base attack bonus is average that obviously sucks for blood ragers but for many other classes it's not an issue at all next on the list is dual list you need two rankings in Mobility Dodge weapon finesse combat mobility and the base attack bonus of six to get this class any fighter or melee class that picks up a lot of Feats will easily be able to get this the earliest you can get this class is level seven at level one you get candy defense which is going to add one point of your intelligence modifier per duelist level to your armor class when wielding a melee weapon this is mediocre because most bills that are melee and focus on intelligence also have spell casting and this class does not allow you to continue gaining spell levels some non-caster builds increase intelligence to make death attacks more effective but most death attacks come at level 20 so you cannot use this and pick them up at the same time you also get precise strike which lets you add your duelist level to your damage rolls when wielding a lighter one-handed Pearson weapon like a dueling sword you cannot have another weapon or shield in your hand this is only useful if it's worth taking several level of Duelists so we'll Circle back to this at level 2 you gain Parry which lets you deflect the first attack against you or an adjacent outline after making a full attack to do this you must successfully complete an attack roll that is higher than the role of the attacking creature and you get a penalty to this attempt based on the creature's size you also take a negative four penalty if you are attempting to deflect an attack against an ally instead of yourself I am torn on whether or not this actually helps you on the one hand the ability only lets you deflect the first attack an enemy does by the time you reach Act 4 even mid-level enemies will have multiple attacks and nullifying one of them technically doesn't do that much on the other hand an enemy's first attack has their highest base attack bonus so if you or your ally only need a little bit of help to have an AC high enough to absorb the attack then this will make a huge difference so basically whether or not it helps you depends on your build and the situation instead of being consistent and therefore I think it's mediocre that does change in a few levels at level two you also get a plus two bonus on initiative checks and this increases the plus four at level eight this phone is Stacks with what you would get from improved initiative and it's definitely useful for you at level three you get a plus four bonus to AC against the tax of opportunity when wearing no armor or light armor and not using a shield personally I don't find this helpful because I am not a fan of pulling melee Fighters off of Frontline enemies but depending on your play style this might be useful at level 4 you automatically pick up combat reflexes you have to be at least level 6 to pick duelist which means that the earliest you would get this at level 10. if you are running a bill that really benefits from combat reflexes I believe you would pick this feat significantly earlier so I don't think this actually helps you at level 4 you also get a plus two competence bonus on reflex saving throws that is okay but considering this Prestige class focuses on you wearing no armor and having a light on one-handed weapon more than likely you are running a dexterity focused build due to this your reflexes are probably Sky High anyway and this boost doesn't really help you at level 5 you get repulsed which allows you to get an attack of opportunity against any enemy you parry as long as that creature is in reach obviously this makes Perry significantly more useful just keep in mind again it will be significantly more difficult to Parry the Colossal demons that are littered throughout Act five and some of act 4. at level 6 your speed is no longer reduced by difficult terrain which is not a game-changing ability but it's definitely useful against some creatures at level seven when fighting defensively you get a plus one Dodge bonus to AC for every three levels of duelist that you have do not forget that Dodge bonuses stack so this is very useful if you plan to level up duelist a lot at level 9 you get the deflect arrows feed if you are using a lighter one-handed weapon deflect arrows let you deflect the first successful Reigns attack against you once per round it's not the right home about but you get it for free so whatever you also get no retreat which causes enemies to provoke an attack of opportunity if they use the withdrawal action withdraw only exists in the tabletop version of this game not outcat's version so this ability is useless finally at level 10 you get crippling critical which allows you to apply a penalty on enemies when you critically hit with a one-handed or light weapon the penalties range from 1d4 points of strength or dexterity negative four to saving throws or AC 2d6 bleed damage or reduction in movement speed this is cool to have but is it worth taking 10 levels in duelist to get it personally I don't think so and rank this class A D if you can maintain spell levels while taking this it would be absolutely fantastic for maggots as things stand I believe most classes don't really benefit from what duelist provides quick note before we review Eldritch Knight if you enjoyed this video I would really appreciate you subscribing and hitting the like button this information tells me which content the community is enjoying and helps my videos spread to more people I really appreciate all of the support alright last on the list let's review Eldritch Knight to get this class you need martial weapons proficiency and the ability to cast third level Arcane spells many classes will let you get that such as blood rages Magus and even Sorcerers if you multi-class the earliest you can become an Eldritch Knight is level 7. on the first level you get diverse training which adds your Elder night levels to any levels of fighter you need to qualify for fees it also Stacks with levels for your Arcane spellcaster class obviously how useful the first part is depends on what sort of build you are running but there are some really nice Feats that require fighter levels you also get three rankings of bonus combat Feats which is definitely useful for any mainlake class at level two you get Arcane spell casting which works just like the Arcane trickster version that allows you to continue gaining spell levels in your base class while leveling in Eldritch Knight obviously this is very useful concerning the types of classes you would build this with finally in level 10 you get Spell critical which allows you to Swift cast a spell after successfully Landing a critical hit obviously if you use melee attacks and offensive spells often this will help you overall I give this class an a there are a lot of builds that can benefit from Eldritch Knight it feels a tad empty like it should do a little bit more but if you want to combine casting and melee attacks this one is really useful that wraps up my rankings for part two of our Prestige classes overview in summary I ranked Dragon Disciple s duelist D and LG to Knight a hope all of you enjoyed this video if you did please leave a like share this content and subscribe to the channel if you haven't already I will see you all in the next video take care
