this is trinant and this is Path of Exile necropolis the slow playthrough and we're not going to play those characters we're going to play Paper cutron our character that does probably paper cuts worth of damage last we left off we killed Eric coli and got pass the Temple of Decay into act 8 I don't know how a sunken Temple can lead into the Ram parts of s yet here we are before we continue into that next area I do want to just make sure all my gears in check my Golem buddies back up uh we don't care about any of that gear I think why did I think the Spas Lord would be an upgrade yeah there's no way it is 45 65 wait a minute it could be and I think about it if I craft a little bit of perc damage on it would that actually buff this up to where I need it to be I don't think it would let's not bother bil please buy my crappy sword so our first all let's see what the morg is looking like we have 13 corpses I think we'll do the corpse crafting at the start of this little playr always good to clear up inventory and stuff and you know we're playing necropolis League it's not just peee it's peee and necropolis after all all right so first let's [Music] do item is corrupted um scarcer [Music] fire increased chance of Fire and then randomize the effects which is very strange looking now re effect of humanoids do I have any humanoid corpses yeah we have the haunted I mean might as well right says armor so they think that's anything but anything in the armor category all right let's see well you know our Shield's a little old let's do a shield armor Shield CR May the love of free you of your anguish and Aid Soldier so that you may Shield them from harm and here we go H not really better as corrupted it's you would rather not all right next up I want to craft the sword do want explicits some modifier craft [Music] weapon sword get the Twilight blade going AAP to cut alas no we need it's very unlikely that we will get a sword that we want from crafts like this but you know it's just fun uh what's the crappy piece of gear we have feel like our gauntlets really aren't going to be that helpful right now they're not that bad though try boots so that you may Grace them with fleetness wow these are good except for the lack of move speed sad right one more so that you may Grace them with fle ah fleetness like boots I get it welcome welcome in Alice yeah um well last stream admittedly was uh at a weird time kind of want to keep this I think I will I'm going to s this though take care of that Lantern is that all the morg cuz then we can actually start the oh we have the link socks I'm saving those to make a high link item so all right let's actually go and uh start the Stream So the thing I want to do first outside of crafting Acropolis is make it to SAR and we have to go through the S Ram parts for that now in some ways this is a completely new area for the campaign but a lot of areas in path of Exel acts 5 through 10 well especially acts 6 through 10 are reused assets from the end game of all things the endgame added a bunch of levels uh that were exclusive to just the endgame itself and in uh the rehaul of the campaign they I guess reused or uh imported some of those in-game assets as levels in the normal game so when I was playing through it for the first time I was like oh hey I remember this map layout this area for instance is very similar to a Zone called the ramp parts and lo and behold we're in the S Ram parts and there's a few others things like that in fact act eight8 also has some references to uh some other some cut areas from act three that return in this act and we'll be seeing some of that too what same old there's no mini boss in this area it's just a straight shot to the uh uh to the start of act eight we're back in the pattern now of uh having to go through a uh intro area before we get to the main act main Town unlike the other uh two acts we just did and we won't actually start act8 immediately because there's one piece of content we desperately need to do that'll both be a defensive upgrade and a damage upgrade for very silly and the Damage upgrade is for very silly reasons but a reason nonetheless right okay and we got a levels just like the theop pits damn theop dueling pits must have been stanky get some accuracy we talk to people do Dre you may notice that SAR is a little bit stinky now sewers are all green there's do and the sewers for some reason making everything a sewer her how annoying of her and everybody's talking about what to do there's two Gods after all there was the solar simple and lunar simple so now we have solarus and lunaris to worry about uh haran told us that do is hiding in the sewers Clarissa's gone slightly mad and found her dead boyfriend zombie and has him in manacles cuz you know he might bite people otherwise this would be good it's not though what is it I got to change my loot filter again keep forgetting to do that but yeah it's fine all right so this is what we need to do the trial of ascendency I said I was going to do this at the start of the next stream it is the next stream so here we go and don't make the mistake of clicking the regular Labyrinth again you have to CL pick cruel Ascend with Precision Ru Labyrinth is has some differences from the first Labrinth and that it's actually a little bit longer and the fight with aaro at the end is going to be slightly different the eldrich hunger Helm is that the uh one of the mtxs that sounds annoying feel like one of these sessions we should look at the cash shop talk about path of exile's moneymaking [Music] strategies the weary traveler draws close to the end of the path we get a double resistance thing so the first zone between here and the Labyrinth is um it's still one zone away but that'll be it'll be two zones instead of one for the first and second Labyrinth oh the 60 tier supporter I didn't know the ELD Helm said something all right so we get double resistances a very good crafting recipe The Sovereign who empowers the scepter not the other way round that sounds like the um feed me pet to the mimic all right so we got totems here we'll destroy those aaro is going to be threatening today he has double swords and those are very dangerous the big problem with the zaro's attack there is the sword beam sword beam does a lot of damage it's like that aerial slash he's doing one day even the great scepter of God shall fall it actually does heaps of damage it can oneshot a lot of builds in the end and uh and merciless lab yeah the mimic talks too he he says feed me make your Empire a new and he'll say it to everybody in town you may have heard it actually in uh hideout in towns recently like if you ever hear the feed me voice that's the mimic talking it's like um Seymour from Little Shop of Horrors uh do we go this way I don't know if the I think the traps in Labyrinth get a little bit more complicated as time goes on I know in the final tier of Labyrinth they get exceedingly more involved we'll see how well that turns out think about some of the some of the Trap gaunt and uh Labyrinth is there a lot of them are really skippable it's kind of inconsistent their layout I guess that's the downside of random layouts all our skills are leveling up at least where are we going costic or on death one of the newer modifiers enemies can have they just launch three orbs and will try to slam you if they get get on top of you the idea is you wait until the orbs get on top of you and you just move to the side a little bit and you don't get hit exploding orbs are like that they chase you and you can't really avoid them until they're about to explode so the Labyrinth has a lot of little sight areas you just generally want to go in a straight line if you can if you're not then you tend to be going into an optional Zone you don't want to do that Labyrinth takes too long do all the optional stuff unless you enjoy being in here I don't it's too obnoxious the asite and the Eternal rest I don't want to hear the p I misclicked some poets get get Des sent into the Labyrinth I guess the labyrinth in the story does have a story behind it basically aaro was the last emperor of the fresian Dynasty and was um what's the term for um well he was unable to have children so so to d a new emperor strike an EMP Emperor strikes without hesitation to entertain doubt is to dance with death an emperor is only as efficient as those He commands to Dan in a new emperor what he decided to do was to build a death Labyrinth and anybody who went through it would be able to uh become emperor next time and the emperor to be the person who won the Labyrinth and historically was chitus because the pandis chitis parandis uh was basically the Brandis family built the Labyrinth and built a cheat code in it for the other for Chas to become the uh Emperor three lieutenants remain and that and then chis of course uh was the emperor that oversaw the downfall of SAR uh with the uh rebellion and all of that and Malachi was building gem Lings and stuff Jus was the one who revoked the rule of not using gems people generally weren't really happy with that and uh caused a revolt and then the Revolt after the Revolt uh Malachi Ed survived and decided the time was right to cause an apocalypse and uh then we killed Malachi a few centuries later this is the right way after after SAR and Ray class got destroyed the survivors and Oro who were actually part of the Empire they were just like in a offshoot area became the Templar theocracy of Oro and so they're they do have historical roots in Ray class exploding crystals I have negative chaos R so that was actually a scary amount of damage coming my way thankfully it wasn't in the thick of all of them or else that would have hurt I guess I'll take Superior gems the general way to navigate Labyrinth to get where you need to go is just to go like up and left and that'll tend to get you where you need to be an aspir can AF or more like just like up an emperor you'll you'll usually start the left side of a labyr or like the you generally want to go like Zoom you start like the bottom go up top and you'll be you'll get there not what we need all right final lab so here's the big difference between normal and cruel Labyrinth the boss fight has traps the most devious trap of them all in normal Labyrinth there's no traps in the final Gauntlet and there certainly is in in final lab also Zar will have a green circle it'll teleport him teleport the player to uh the Trap uh into a corner where there's a bunch of Hazards and stuff and you got to watch out sincear has a third of his health in the fin Labyrinth a lot of people tend to put coing strike on their skill bar to kill aaro quickly in the final fight it's not always needed obviously but it can be nice we got two Treasure Keys this time because I let the three lieutenants live and having the mechanic that aaro has be left all the way up to FL will mean that they do uh that you get an extra treasure key not that it matters he didn't really get much here what we did get though was our second ascendency point which gives us default fortification all the time and the reason that that's damage is cuz um we get attack speed now this whole thing well fortified um didn't actually apply to us until now so now we have damage and defense how fun and we have a nice little fortification Aura around our character permanently now how fun is that also have Define font 3 million XP to gem I don't want to use that early let's see if we have a spare gem um we have a high level fortify why is this level 18 it must have come from let's sacrifice the gem for Treasure Keys and we got nothing okay great I'm just going to pick up these items and uh vender all the relevant ones I believe ining light sounds good okay we're ready to go so now we attack fast do a little bit more damage have a little bit more defense from hits at least be careful we're ready to continue so the first part of act um of act 8 is sewers though they're not called sewers they're called the toxic conduits when always and the toxic conduits have a nasty gimmick of zombies that drop toxic ground on death these things they drop a lot of it and it actually hurts a lot if you're not ready for it which is why I switched my Pantheon just there secretly from not being stunned which actually is irrelevant now cuz I am immune to stun uh while fortified and I'm always fortified I swap that to taking less damage over time which is very relevant for this area cuz there's a lot of damage over time in the toxic conduits but hopefully we'll have a little bit more damage going on now another chaos sword man if this is a campaign play through I could use those chos orbs for uh trading for some low value items wouldn't that have been been fun I got to watch out for the exploding ground some enemies have minions explode on death and generally don't want to stand those they will shotgun you and all hit at once and do a lot of damage let's see what this thing is doing H The Vortex on the ground Essence monsters will have more more health and damage for each Essence they have it's a little rough actually there's the cage over time ground the costic orbs oh yeah the alll members true there are builds that can tank chaos damage D gen not a lot of them usually damage over time tends to be a damage type that a lot of players don't mitigate much but oh boy is it's satisfying as a result when you do make a build that can just tank all the chaos tank all all the damage over time and not care mini boss of this area is the sutured aberration that when you kill them become the Towering aberration and it's just a zombie with earthquake that's all should be noted that we're taking chaos damage which does byass energy Shield so my energy Shield could be up for this whole time I still would take Health damage life damage also should be noted despite the fact that chaos damage um if you are hit while froma with chaos damage while you have energy Shield your energy Shield will still not regenerate it just won't take damage but if I recall correctly if you're hit at all um chaos damage doesn't re chaos damage will stop your energy shield from uh recovering still counts as damage blocking your recharge not recovering just recharging cuz again energy Shield only recharges after a period of not taking damage oh the volatile magic mod yeah all right I don't think we're going to replace actually we might replace um the ranga kurai cuz you you've seen the sewer goliaths here and every there's some newer enemies we are we do say goodbye to the zombies but we will put the sewer goliaths away and how about the meetic mavens which are no we we saw they they were in here so so now we have uh trial of the ancestor characters the all the tribal enemies the rakurai the T the namu and I forget the other names there's a lot of them those come from the tri of the ancestors um expansion that was uh two leagues ago it basically involved doing like a mini MOBA game that was all single player it had and it had a ranking system and the enemies get harder as the rank went up and you get tattoos and uh powerful items as a result tattoos being the big one let's see so nice thing about do accessible is those damage over time elements are gone now it's all replaced by uh just friendly um friendly other damage types Goliath of the night that sounds like wrong ofay this turtle is definitely wrong aai I think the turtle does a fire breath that hurts a lot I'm not [Music] sure you can notice that the any of the all flame member enemies tend to be a lot harder than the um base game and that's just a thing all right so we are looking for a area that has a giant circle around it an empty space that leads to Center Circle be like a sewer pit the field Masters love to summon walls you can destroy them though or no it's the actually I forget who builds the walls it probably is the field Masters you can break these walls and phasing walks through them it's still annoying though I'm just going to kill this Turtle there's no reason to but stubbornness really at this point I think generally it's easy to get more damage than this build has in the game especially if you roll spellcasters spellcasters generally keep up in damage and spell casters with links on their gems with weapon based builds you have to worry about weapon damage and our damage is falling off there are ways to accelerate the damage just find a weapon base that's relevant to your level and do certain crafting recipes and you'll get there I would say weapon builds are slightly harder to gear comfortably than uh spell casters I think minions probably are the easiest to level but they fall off really hard on end game weapon builds are probably the hardest to level but have really endless scaling opportunities for damage the weapon the triggers builds like a cast and Critical Strike probably do the most effective like damage values I would say uh weapon based builds ultimately went yeah see this little circular area this is where do is going to be situated if we can get past these walls that is minions fall off but you still can do most most content with minions oh absolutely it's more that just like minions get very annoying to wield and um Pinnacle fights perhaps like the Pinnacle content I haven't actually seen how they perform in tier 17s the most recent endgame content but I imagine they're still very doable it's just that sometimes they're they do require smartness things that there are things that make minions very hard to sustain in certain fights true mainly things that can kill minions are the hardest content to do all right so here's styre do Dre activates when you open this valve deyr is all about her witch cauldron and cursing so this fight's a little interesting um there's three types of debuffs she'll summon and she rotates between them based on if you valve she will turn into a blood teleport attack the first debuff is slow it's random which one she picks at the start you can change the debuff basically by uh switching uh by clicking the valve red is vulnerability debuffs um there's little blood circles that explode and if you get hit by them you get a stack of a take more damage debuff we going to just skip that I really could have just done the slow debuff and have done that and then finally the INF feble debuff every time you kill a zombie a uh INF feble stack lands on you and we could ratee between those or we could just kill her now I need a b indeed indeed dualist indeed and our reward is a crafting recipe in this Waypoint don't forget to click the Waypoint and I do believe haran gives us a reward now and SAR is DED very nice uh I forget what our resistances are yeah cold is so how about fire and [Music] cold back see if we get lucky oh we got very lucky lucky and we got gold lightning res perfect um Maroa has a quest to um kill the gemlings Lissa wants to resurrect Tolman and since our weapon I feel like we're falling behind on this cut lless we're already at corsairs I feel the need to look for an upgrade in the shop I think necropolis could also help but necropolis is relying on corpses so we'll just vendor all this see you and Now's the Time to try let's see about you [Music] we'll keep this I don't think I actually need it right now but it could come in handy later so haran is our weapon vendor for the sa and Cloris is the W potion vender same as before actually we have a Gladius here um has lengths and stuff and damage and honestly a normal sword for a weapon right now is not a bad idea because we're going to try a certain vendor recipe we've collected enough black sth wet stones for this if you sell let me see if we have any unique belts before I continue this madness no if you sell a rare a magic or rare rustic sash or unique for that matter blacksmith wet stone and a weapon you will get a physical percent damage weapon back isn't that fun and lo and behold higher damage ratio slower attack speed so we'll have to gamble that five life per enemy hit that's not bad does less damage right now so we're going to just waste currency um and then we're going to go to our Hideout I would not recommend using a Regal orb early I'm just desperate because it's a rare we can add craft another modifier and I'm going to craft physical damage FL physical let's see if this does more damage 2800 2700 still no okay wow we wasted currency wonder if attack speed would have worked do I even have attack speed yeah we don't even have a or of scouring for it all right well I tried the cutless winds out though this does have life per enemy hit that is nice it's not nice enough all right I'm going to keep this just just as uh just to cry with don't get into too much trouble and get rid of the other one all right anyways let's continue act 8 there's several ways to go and act eight it's actually split in half a little bit um you can go to the lar simple or the slow simple early um we're going to take the route I like to do because it gives most skill points early and that is going right towards the Solaris Temple what is our accuracy ready 3,000 okay let's grab a little bit of Sword damage [Music] cuz I do feel like my damage is starving [Music] still and it will continue to do so because this build is bad but that's okay all right the key that is pronounced key for what it's worth it's a weird pronun weird spelling of it the key is a set of docks um lot of gemlings here remnants of sa Empire some gemlings like to summon ballistas at you not sure why why do they have giant ballista crossbow just hanging around at the Docks but they sure do for this area there's a quest for clorissa wants you to find the ank of Eternity and we're going to humor her for that the ank of Eternity is always uh past an archway uh off the docks so you basically for this tile set I want to hug the water want to always hug the edge of the docks like I said before a lot of tile sets in this in the new game are based off tile sets from uh the endgame an endgame expansion from before 3.0 this one ised turn you should be here indeed it is just in a crate somewhere who knows why maybe they just wanted to forget about it so um this one's based off a t set called a map called port and Port I mean it's just you know it's a it's a dockyard what can we say about it and again keep hugging the the keep hugging the docks cuz uh or the edge of the water cuz the an the resurrection site is also here not sure why it's at the Docks yet here we are this will do and uh we'll find our way surely enough to the resurrection ction site [Music] now the resurrection site is um the resurrection site also has a tell to it there's generally like a wall right before it I do not know why this oh physical resistant you can see how much just being resistant to an element type can really um slow damage down that's true for like almost but like it takes like a really strong build to overcome like resistant types I'm running a few builds in the end game and they are crit oriented and whenever I come across a crit resistance rare enemy I notice they take a lot longer to kill it's actually pretty impressive I'm impressed by the enemies I generally try to find these little archways cuz they tend Elite where I need to be uh we got invulnerability enemy I'd recommend having ability to pierce through enemies or having an AOE because of the invulnerability are enemies if you are find a pack of enemies and you can't get through them to find the invulnerable enemy it you'll have a bad time invulnerability or comes in pulses at least so it's not all they're not always invulnerable but it is annoying to attack the one re generating that aura I think we're at the resurrection site there's this little wall here coming up could be wrong though uh yeah no this is it cuz this long wall here has a divider you go through it and then the sight is coming up will Mark or Mark the Beast and uh try to kill this thing life cannot be leached heals allies so we're going to have a long fight ahead of us and the endurance charge let get a totem up the totem ironically doesn't do much damage right now cuz we're doing projectile oriented damage there we go Hile willite ay poem it there is a snow bolt enemy here too snow bolt just summons like a beam from the sky that's their whose location is marked by little bolt on the ground give it to me quickly Lissa does an incantation and realize that something's going horribly wrong and is generating a lot of zombies are the shield Cosmetics not good in this is that what you mean by Shield game yeah there's a cosmetic sale this weekend so Tolman summons zombies after enough zombies Tolen breaks out of his chains and summons these annoying corpse detonators so you generally want to stay away from the little um from these little red things Trails chasing you and we'll kill tomman how could I have been so stupid vuso didn't hide the young so vuso tried to resurrect his Emperor or tried to resurrect his wife and uh probably wasn't the best idea who knows what happened we can only assume anyways Clarissa's very sad and we this is all an offshoot I believe so we'll just go this way this should lead forward route the ank and the resurrection s are side areas usually I could be wrong about that but the laborers and the labor wraiths have these big maces they hit you with they don't really do much a lot of the enemies while they have interesting like little abilities they tend to not really matter if you're a ability a lot of the fights against fod enemies tend to be about mitigating their damage before you can even get to them there's very few situations where normal enemies are threats you have to pay attention to outside of like special modifiers Tolman didn't have main protagonist juice true yeah I've resurrected at least one time we're not going to go back to town just yet actually we will once they get to the grain gate cuz there is in fact a uh wayo here I do seem to be full in inventory all right so let's identify rear we're looking for Fizz damage that does have Fizz damage but it's slow tier it is Corsair though and attacks very fast we might be able to craft the fiz we need on this let's give it a shot you win but with shame yeah dying a thousand times nah that's not shame that's just that's that's pride of anything Pride before the fall a lot of Falls this s is accuracy rating in life on it but we're not using a jewel for Just Two stats be careful I find Jewels more of a late game thing you specialize in when you have the ability to craft good ones maybe that's just me though oh this ring sucks too well chorus was kind enough to give us a skill point so we'll utilize that also probably should get projectile stuff when I get a chance pretty close to projectile damage and don't really need the other projectile stuff what other projectile things do we have project H here's one projectile damage and long shot long shot's actually really good adjacent animosity both of these are honestly even with Point Blank well we don't reduce projectile speed so long shots the way to go but we want sword damage and block why not Maro talks us about the jying legion we're going to go craft this sword and see if we win I could go to build planner and what the crafter result would look like but I'm stubborn uh 38 to 142 that might be more damage [Music] 3,000 nope not quite alas I think if we got the 79% roll it would have been more [Music] damage just has a lower [Music] range very sad an ey out for I'm willing to waste a few alteration orbs to gamble that physical damage all right Green Gate time so Green Gate much like the warehouse that originally was based off of an original path Exile has tells basically there's a lot of directions you can go a lot of Warehouse entr entrances the way you want to go is you want to find these warehouses that have uh corpses of Oro and blackards in them and they will lead in and out of little warehouses that you're supposed to go through the warehouses always have like one entrance and one exit so not too hard to find your way out we're also looking for a diary entry on the ground which will lead to um the gemling legionaires that Maro wants us to kill they're like soldiers that still retain to their sanity to some extent even though they don't say anything at you they're very silent yeah and they should be in the second room y there they are there's the book they are very easy to murder well except they got possessed so that might add a stinker to this they also count as players on death weirdly enough so they make they mute the game when they die it's kind of funny that's the gym Lanes to you yeah sorry not diary in order that's Captain alarus there speaking of many bosses there's not that many optional deities here there is one I think there's only one optional deity in this uh Act that gives us a skill point the other one other skill points come from the jiming Legionnaire and Clarissa's attempt at resurrecting [Music] Tolman uh I was wondering if this enemy was physically resistant they were taking a long time to murder you die rather well and we're out of the grain gate um field has a fun enemy type scarecrows in course this is based off the solar simple there are the return of ribbons will appear we also have Tauruses which are like Centaur Minotaur things bull centaurs also got a level field areas like the Imperial fields and some other zones like a castle rout C uh the broken bridge tile set and areas with like these little paved roads um can drop the rain of chaos card collect eight of them you get a chaos or it's surprisingly common card a lot of people don't bother picking it up but it is decent to do early on not worth sitting in the Imperial fields to farm though it's not that common there's zva we're ignoring her yeah I Tire of all the as well like her many min game is fun but it's just kind of hard to get started you have to have a build fast enough to clear it which we don't all right let's go back to town real quick get our level talk Mar MOA for killing the gemling legionnaires get a [Music] level level our [Music] gems back to the field asite verin out that's like the most armor of a sh of a helmet in the game if I recall but it has higher stat requirements than the other tier of perset I think it's called The Royal buret I think there are some other helmets that give more armor but they're very specific and way later down the line they don't drop normally the mini boss that's are is the Effigy of fear a scarecrow that summons crows for some reason you think that would be the opposite but whatever maybe they're just too scared of the Effigy and go after you instead ah our first map I'd say around act eight Maps start dropping I think as early as they count as level 60 items or maybe 59 there you go okay as early as level 58 then maybe earlier but starting in act eight nonetheless we will come across Maps we don't really get to do anything with maps early on but they are worth saving end of the solar Temple where we will encounter ribbons and St statues and lion statues and Elemental [Music] statues oh asites the one before etal sorry it's it's the third far that's from the most powerful for the most armor heavy well the second most armor he it's one away from the most AR armor heavy but weirdly enough the two above it the um Eternal and Royal Bion nuts uh Royal I believe has less armor but it does uh it has less attribute requirements too so it's kind of nice in that way not a good helmet though we also got a Divine flask starting at item level 60 area anything that sign level 60 can drop Divine Life flask oh that was the armor rank never mind oh still yeah weirdly enough the highest level requirement helmet has less armor than the one below it is all I was saying I got the names wrong but still that's all I was trying to convey here's an abyss and yeah we come across solar guards so you can have a skill in this game called rise Spectre and starting on the second floor of the Solaris Temple there will be these characters called solar Elementals and solar Elementals or maybe it is the solar guards no it's the solar guards never mind uh solar guards are actually very good specters or at least they were not anymore they have a laser beam it's nice they have decent defenses that's about it there's better Soul there's better specters these days but still not a bad one to pick dark lint child of God I believe the KY Chopper does the most damage of any axe but it also the slowest so it's not really good unless you have a really slow big single hit which has not been in the meta for a long time you get a wayo at a cross Junction and an L there's basically an L turn here if we go down and left we will come out the exit to The solarus Concourse which is an open area that used that is what used to be the battle field in act three we don't want to go that way no we want to go somewhere far more dangerous the second FL of the SAR Temple not more dangerous just it's there and hey another Expedition character it's Gwyn again Gwyn seems to really want to just hang out these days find a lot of excavation sites not sure how the SAR Architects didn't realize there was ancient runic civilizations in their Temple but it's a video game it doesn't matter finally come on yeah it's really slow has bad Critical Strike chance so like unless you're doing like a not so crit relevant slow heading [Music] weapon yeah highest DPS though just slow uh we'll do more damage on Monsters this is annoying thing about Expedition you get like one little pixel off from two options it's very silly now these enemies do have increased damage so we do have to pay attention kind of not really Goliath Greaves those are pretty good pair of boots Essences of contempt contempt is the essence we actually care about cuz that gives physical damage uh flat physical that is definitely something we care about so we'll be hunting for that [Music] I believe in tring light we are full in inventory and I honestly don't feel that incentivized to drop any loot there's a shipyard map and we'll identify everything real quick and I want to say that could be okay this has full D full attributes so no no no no put up all the vendor items no to the asite version at yeah everything else is well we will use that Divine flask in a moment this is fire and lightning R but nothing much else so to the vendor tab it goes k a one thing about builds in this game is you don't want to have too many types of things you need to build with you only get so many ways to like you only get so many options for how you scale your character and if you find that you need to uh cover your bases in multiple aspects like let's say you're trying to do both like two types of damage you need both of them to be high that can be really tricky like uh physical and Chaos or something or chaos and Elemental especially that could be really tricky to pull off hybrid d types aren't really a thing specializing is very powerful in this game in other words there are exceptions to that builds get pretty complicated in Path of Exile as the skill tree might might might suggest and that's not saying there aren't ways to scale things in double ways like for instance if I'm my um builds do physical but it also is a projectile so scaling so using things that increase my projectile in physical you know still it's essentially the same scaling so it's not like I'm missing out by picking one or the other really I want to use both when I can so close you know the celestials oh yeah since uh solor larus were Gods I believe in lore strange voice we're listening to now was the deity that tricked lunaris and Solaris to to go at each other's throats the Sun and the Moon hating each other Beau have thought physical resistant monster what can you expect with molten shell even so when the shell regenerates takes less damage ball animate weapon and the gem cutter we delirium if you come across those little egg looking things those will always have enemies in them these things little puls they'll have nightmare enemies the nightmare enemies actually do Fade Away out on once the fog dissipates around them they're actually only in the nightmare role whereas normal monsters will be there still there they just uh get less nightmare fied got some shards that's welcome and uh black art a good leveling level one ring to have this might be more no it has slow attack speed oh well yeah sometimes builds can scale in ways using conversion or like if you're converting fire to lightning or or not well you can't do fire to lightning for silly reasons but let's say uh cold to fire or something if you you generally actually want to scale the first one cold or scale Elemental cuz Elemental apply to both or well not both but there's weird reasons that you want to convert but generally you do want to convert [Music] damage uh cuz the way the um way you get damage like if you get extra damage it'll apply to multiple sources of elements and conversion gets all of those at once and it's kind of weird and Powerful like if you get gain um Elemental damage is chaos for instance uh it'll take all three cold fire and lightning and every step that you converted will in fact scale at once so you essentially get three times as much damage three times as much scaling as you should it's very silly conversion non chaos is extra Chaos on Fizz to lightning to cold to fire means you get non-chaos is extra chaos four times over because conversion is weird and kind of unintuitive also converting damage taken as is also surprisingly good but not for the same reasons defensive conversion is interesting in that basically physical damage is the hardest to mitigate compared to Elemental so if you convert um physical damage into Elemental damage then suddenly you're taking way less damage usually there's some exceptions but that's PE in general there's always some exceptions there's no there's no uh exit out of here so we just warp out and we will put these up I'm not going to explain shards those are later down the line those are more map oriented frankly vendor some items I don't think we've completed any extra quests right now so there's two ways we can go uh oh yeah we have a Divine flas Divine flas are while there is one tier higher than Divine flas Divine flas heal the most of any flask base in the game and so the problem is they heal slower than their upper counterpart the Eternal flask I actually like using Divine flas because there's ways to get instant recovery on them which we're going to hand it down do now uh we have flat we have uh alteration orbs enough to maybe get an instant recovery mod and we just keep rolling until we come across one we want instant recovery and corupting blood removal theoretically uh there's the instant recovery on low life which is probably the best one however life recovery to minions is pointless there's blood removal but again I want both aha if I I have an open Instant recovery though I can go to einhar our friend down in the managerie and take some of those beasts I've been collecting and doing sealing for corrupting blood removal the first ones are watching Survivor don't disappoint them you are truly and now we have so now we have blood removal and a higher healing flask isn't that great actually the hollowood flash heals less over time than the Divine flash so yeah the Divine flash is just straight up better hello all right we're free so let's go back to act 8 and that Solaris Temple Waypoint we took at the T Junction does lead us to The slor Concourse we could have taken the other route from the toxic conduits as well but frankly that uh way actually you know what we will do that because I want to showcase the ACT but this is the more inefficient route in my opinion I used to think this was the way to go and for longest time in the campaign I would go this way but frankly the grand prominade which is based off the prominade map in the end game but either way the grand prominade is a really not that relevant area there's nothing here the slowest Concourse is faster and you can return to it anyways it's kind of weird like that grand prominade wasn't in act three at all if I recall it's just like a giant walkway area there's some ghosts here a character who has a unique in the game is here andar who has andor's class I'm not sure what his deal is there I think there's some lore around onar oh I meant to skipped out of this but here we are oh well getting a lot of corrupting blood Stacks a little Annoying that and we get dire Lord the Lord of dire andar was the guy who assassinated chitus oh I did not know that this is the benefit of doing this on chat instead of recording I can get info thank you Alice yeah spectral tacticians lot of specters I guess the zombie apocalypse didn't only Resurrect The the flesh but also the soul very Grim that under across a bridge somewhere I think we'll en have to go through that bridge so we'll encounter him shortly prom's actually pretty long area too which is all the more reason to take the Solaris Concourse if we pass them we pass him but I don't think we will I think andar the betrayer oh he was the advisor emper beforehand oh how did I miss this lore I feel like maybe he talked about somewhere in game I thought he was only talked about in the unique item you get from him here's andar Andre is always on this bridge there he is Andre the betrayer he likes to leap and C costic ground there's not much to him he's dead now and we'll just keep going since we're way overlevel for these areas cuz I've been taking it slow oh the cic grounds reference to killing chtis by a poison that's fun that's a fun reference I I love it well the grand prominade leads to the bath house bath house is very similar to a conservatory area in a in game and it it's it's what it is it's a bath house with a bunch of water in it isn't that fun and a bunch of patricians are here undying patricians and this is where Harin want us to kill uh titius titius tudus um this dude he likes to charge around he's actually the same boss of Conservatory believe it or not he's called the first a gotten Soldier there oh we got rat cage makes you tiny and the wings of AI that uh already want us to fetch feel like I could fit These Wings or this Crimson round Shield if I wanted to and lo and behold I can well we'll just workp out Reber wing reward and we'll get a crimble jewel a Crimson Jewel I just like seeing crimble for silly reasons identify everything sell a lot of it kind of an okay item lot of fire and cold here don't do anything [Music] I and we don't need P oh that was just a quality gem is this any good no be careful haran used to give a unique Jewel from the wings of a Siri Quest it was actually worth getting it CU there was an ability called conqueror's efficiency one of the three jewels you could get and it was very good problem is was kind of mandatory to get or something I don't know what they're reasoning for getting rid of it was but they replace it with a trash Quest reward of just a rare jeel is kind of pointless now people would go through the campaign just to get conqueror's efficiency and then uh if you could corrupt that efficiency to get um a good V implicit modifier on it which is what corruption does on occasion you could lock into a pretty valuable item all the more valuable now since it's not in the game anymore except in standard Le where all Legacy items still are preserved but any new league with fresh characters and stuff will not get these [Music] items ah here we go yeah so conqueror's efficiency gives increased Mana reservation efficiency corrupted with more reservation efficiency basically makes it an incredibly good Mana efficiency Jewel all right so Harens well I think sen tells us to go here to the high Gardens we'll humor him I'm not going to go back to town to talk to sen about it but basically there's that evil yugul I think was a Val character for some reason I don't know why he's in the s but he experimented on children to learn the essence of fear he's like super evil scarecrow or something it's called the reflection of Terror he looks like a weird monster too it's kind of neat replica conquerors efficiency oh yeah that's that was a thing too I forget what it does is that like life efficiency or something oh flat minus Mana cost that's right yeah it used to be great for uh attack builds Al last that got rid of too replica uniques are a heist type of item that I haven't really talked about cuz I haven't done Heist yet ey Gardens is actually kind of scary only because there's these ice porcupines that love to explode on death there's also a lot of Mercurial enemies they're called and they leave these these leave these Mercurial orbs that chase you yeah all the replica Jewels are gone I think you're right they did a rework on Jewels a few patches back and basically got rid of a lot of them made a lot of them only rare only and I'm really not sure why they did that yet they did maybe they got fed up with How uh some skills were Jewel Reliant and then promptly got rid of the jewels instead of like buffing the skills or well they kind of buffed them but some of them got left in the dust it was very strange there's some strange Balan decisions in this game but they're not all bad grind gear has an idea of where they want the game to be and uh tries to shift it towards that sometimes and sometimes the devs play like patch on player feedback but I think actually I would say they always patch on player feedback but not necessarily the feedback the players always want the the way they patch is not necessarily the answer that the players demand actually the devs have been on interview saying they absolutely listen to players it's just that they um they don't the the solutions that the devs give are based on their own decisions as opposed to like necessar like they want to hear what the players say is wrong versus what they say they should fix or how they should fix it it's better to know the problem than know the solution that problem don't know I don't know if I agree with that oh here's our first six socket this will sell for seven Jewelers orbs that's that's that's why it highlighted on the filter I think they're generally in the right for doing that even if I disagree with some of the Balan decisions they put in the game I think it's a good idea to like I think taking constructive criticisms always matters just interpreting it correctly is the tricky part and that's why I'm not a and I'm do not envy their position of trying to balance the game in a way that appeases the community but also pieces to the health of the game and ways that the community might not see CU that can be very tricky line to walk here's yugul yugul is uh baring of the CR from uh kroer chimal whatever uh the reflection of Terror ul and beta used to be very very hard cuz these orbs would move faster and slow you more still is a pretty chaotic fight if you have low cauld Ras you are in trouble for this fight every third of a health bar uh ugle hops into the water and summons Reflections that you have to murder Eagle does a charge move does a charge up move hops around that charge up move there he summons a reflection that pop that slams you it actually kind of hurts if I recall and all the all more and more Mercurial ORS chase you baring of a yeah cre creakic Ma sorry not a kroer cokers are different they're like the frog things and these pillars start shooting stuff at you and explode it's pretty chaotic in this fight generally you just want to stay out of the move keep moving and avoid the uh little Mercurial orbs yugul should be back now somewhere there he is oh there's ugle we'll go say hi to him he should be dead soon you can see even with my Max C reses I'm taking enough djen to for it to matter samite helmet I recall so samite used to be called samite but samite refers to a cloth piece and samite refers to Arena which is what this is supposed to reference a gladiatorial helmet they actually fixed that spelling error and then some very obnoxious people thought that was supposed to be because were trying to appeal to racism or something and or not appeal to it but like they were trying to be ult sensitive it's like no it's just grammatically correct also Jesus some people are just rude but that's not here or there Eagle gives us AAR of after all I'm in WoW narcissism much dualist ugle gives is all about reflect mitigation and reduce effect of curses for some reason but this is actually one of the easier ways to woke metal versus chat fabric anyways ugle go figure that he's like reflect mitigation uh and reflecting curses and then reduce effective curses ugle is actually very good if you want to become reflect immune without having to invest too much you take a node on the tree that makes you take reduced reflected by a percent take ugle for the other percent and become purely immune to reflect not the reflect comes up much in this game there's like one boss fight and then some area modifiers that can make you take reflect damage mind you when reflect comes up you do want to be immune to it otherwise you will just murder yourself and I think I went over that a few sessions ago all right it's a dead end we can leave [Music] BR and you paran's like hey you know you go dead yay I don't know if there's anything here that matters chance to gain F frenzy charge when hitting unique is not bad but honestly I wouldn't get projectile Dam mastery or not projectile Master but the projectile damage [Music] wheel and now we've entered to Clarissa actually try for this Corsair sword again I don't really think I had an orb of scouring I might look look for a normal Corsair sword I don't think any of these are worth keeping so see selling this foul staff gave us seven jewers orbs picking up six socket items really last for a long time until you're overflowing on jewers orbs which takes a long time to get to in the game let's see if we can get a freeze immune um life flask that's actually a good one right there but I want to be immune to chill and freeze rather well that does give us immunity to chill and freeze however it has the worst mod on it life recovered but life taken from Mana when recovering ah here we go instant recovery got lucky there and we'll just go beastcraft the freeze removal which I think is called convection used to be had to guess what these say but now they Mouse over and they tell you what they do prove to the first ones you are worthy exile what annoyingly tanky enemy oh physical resistant you are truly a Survivor and our flats are better now yay all right well since let's go go back to act8 and go back to the bath house bath house does have another thing we want to do here and that is the trial of ascendancy there's one in this act the first of the merciless labyrinths trials we'll come across T tisus again but we don't need to fight him ah there he is he's red some's these blood orbs that cause corrupting blood I think doesn't really matter it's a if we click this again no no Quest item because we already got it thankfully that'd be annoying if you pick it up against it's in your inventory you can't drop Quest items in town or destroy them you can however drop them in a normal area a lot of the time well some of them at least there are some Quest items that you can just leave on the ground if you're not in town o doing Uber shaper an endgame boss with 2,000 hit points that sounds like a low amount for a fight like that I hope you have the damage I assume that's the idea all right so the trial of ascendency is on the left side of the map 1 mil DPS that doesn't sound like a lot for a fight like that I correctly Uber shaper has a lot more Health than 1 million and here's the trial ofen see numbers in this game get pretty excessive like I have 2,000 health and 4,800 DPS but that DPS tool tip can go in the millions or even billions well a couple billion there is such thing as a damage over a damage C for instance damage over time caps at something like 37 million and it has to do with the fact that they assigned an integer value to these numbers that can only go so high and I think it's like damage per minute too tool tip can only hit 25 million oh that's good to know allow your wisdom and there's the treny that being said there are ways to get to in the theoretical billions of damage cuz you don't do damage per hit caps but you do damage per or damage uh per second cap but damage per hit cap so like if you're hitting for a million damage but you're hitting 300 times in uh second well congratulations you're doing 300 million damage per second and the game will calculate that to its chrin oh darn I didn't find the uh way out of the bath house we got to do that in a second this is actually a pretty good piece of armor here I'm going to keep this around the rest I'm going to vendor though see you teleport phase wrecked you go figure like the ad phase that you have to do in the shaper fight that makes sense anyways oh the bullet hell phase yeah there's some boss fight attacks in the end game that get pretty Dodge heavy if you will is that not the way out up there huh weird anyways the way out of the bath house that we actually want to take is not to the high Gardens but it's always in the top right of the screen or bath house we'll just go this way oh hey I got a level fun fact level 64 is the level you're at at the end of act nine so that's how far ahead of leveling we are if you want to reference for how far we've come we could have taken the solars Concourse exit and gone through to a Harbor Bridge to get here and skipped all that um promod stuff you would have wanted to go to the bath house one way or the other for yug not for titicus though yeah by the end game having 2,000 health is usually very much not enough unless you have mitigation in ways that uh make that 2,000 Health effect a lot more effective per Health Life Point or energy Shield point there are some tricky ways to mitigate damage in this game some fun ways some people just have there used to be ways to be completely immune to damage but they basically tend to get rid of those damage types anyways here's a mini boss sniper Lucius summons cold beams from the sky mini bosses again field bosses at least tend to not have much going on it's the uh halfway bosses and full bosses that matter most they forgot to talk about um Dawn harbinger of Solaris that was the Enemy at the end of simple he summons beams has sword attacks and that's about it you want to stay out of the beam theoretically bosses in this game are fun but they're not too much of a will never forget what you became Venia so yeah ulist confirms that Pi's original name was Venia back when she wasn't uh working with Dominus lunar simple has been prettified it has become less gory instead the lunar simple is about lunaris um cleaning up Pi's mess all the torture devices are in bombing cases now I don't think there's many boss on the first floor of um lunar simple you still want to take the route with the carpet go next area this is where coal would have been and now you can see all the torture cables are like there they're still there but there's less bodies on them now everybody's trying to clean up the mess worshipping lunaris getting some spicy stuff here there's a crystal enemy here who has ambushes which is very annoying because that means he teleports and if you don't have a way to hit everything on the screen at once this can get very obnoxious and run away from the crystals when he dies Pi up some items that could be relevant and Tropic Devastation I forget what that ability is sounds like a boss modifier the ribbons are still around but they belong to lunar now instead of diala I guess the the gods approved of the ribbons are like yeah we'll we'll take these ribbons they'll be our now oh and Tropic Devastation is that unique item that doesn't pale right right right probably not in that much demand these days as it all right let's see and like before there is a wayo right before the entrance to level two but since we're full on inventory I'm just going to take this opportunity to go back to town save myself some grief oh that's a very good piece of armor there not a four link but fire and lightning sure get to stay I think the rest is trash though be careful all right let's see actually what is my resistances right now yeah that balances out better I just need to socket these and I am getting jeer orbs now confusing so we're at the point where I can start crafting sockets on gear comfortably semi comfortably partially comfortably yeah I imagine there's some skills that some spells that benefit from impal impale normally being a attack only for physical damage impale is always physical damage oriented but usually only applies to attacks with a unique from a final boss that uh fix that changes that around uniques generally enable stuff that normally can't be done in the game that's their whole gimmick they're not necessarily better that some of them are as much as they just change the way you play some changes are objectively better of course but it's not really the big point of it I can't say no to this I'm going to craft on it now since we're in a waypoint anyways might as well all right I'm going to Quality this I have so many armor scraps I might as well use some get at least four sockets at least four sockets there we go link them get one red and three green one red and three green one red okay there we go then dread Banner can go here do this get a little bit more life and a little bit more armor and Invasion too nice that can stay for posterity though I could just sell this and be fine we actually have enough opportunity to get resistances over cap now cuz I could put cold res on this piece of gear and uh have 105 resistances which is what I need for Act 10 however we are far away from Act 10 so I'm not going to bother with that right now I'm going to bother with this though it has a lot more armor than this thing and all it's missing is cold res which is again a thing we want to keep so maybe I should worry about that nah all right let's Jewel orbs this too and yeah cold res is a little lower but it doesn't matter cuz we can fix it back up as soon as we get some better gear and look we have a giant rectangle as a shield now and I think the instance probably hasn't even reset yeah we're good okay perfect our simple level two and look the blood water is just water now no more corpses are impaled people on them we have they have but they do have a lot of um burial rights going on cuz there was just a lot of people in the uh tentacle Miss Creations have become concubines for lunars which is a weird thing for them to happen but they're still they've been able to wrap the dead but still haven't put a shirt on the poor uh misc Creations I guess you know it's hard to do that when you have tentacles spewing out of them but out of your chest but still I think they would uh maybe they don't care about modesty right now the uh lunaris uh tacal miscreation variant variant I think do cold damage instead of fire damage I think that's their gimmick they're more cold oriented it's not like you can murder them put them down or anything they work for lunaris now yeah they are called the lunaris concubines I do love this stink of victory much like the lunar simple in act 3 uh the going up the stair thing still works where you find stairs you go up them and you'll progress further and further to the end of this area it's laid out basically the same as it was in act three in other words came across the corpse there that makes us that belongs to a family one of the necropolis things is if you come across a family you can make a unique item if you have the full four family members five if you need the pandis one I said I was going to find a Corsair sword that uh or faster [Music] sword that I could craft physical damage onto I forgot to do that oh well anyways a lot of chill damage in this area having a chill removal flash is really good for the sun casting it every once in a while when you're chilled helps a lot some Shock damage I guess too interestingly enough lightning damage sorry cuz I notic I'm getting shock Stacks that's probably some enemies are lightning Enchanted and already we're at the top floor I'm just going to ignore that Abyss there's very little reward for them we're looking for the big doorway here we go this leads further in you can see how the corpses have all been uh wrapped up and are being and probably going to have their burial right happen but yeah otherwise the layout for lar simple very similar to what it was before just blue blue and Shady less blood red and enemy types are even the same they're just more blue and cold damage oriented I guess there's ice Elementals now and we come across dusk oh yeah the Moon and Sun orb were hovering above each each of these halfway bosses as well thus Carpenter lunars is an Archer likes to shoot old arrows has a barrage abil has a Las big shot and a barrage shot and that's about it the orb will summon damage over time dusk clouds I guess and we got the morb annoyingly enough you generally want to do both of these you don't want to do both and then do all the optional quests you want to have both these by the end of the ACT which we're at now because once you collect both orbs you can go to the final area um despite this having two quests lunar and solar eclipse we basically are just doing one big Quest that leads to the end of act eight where we fight a certain pair and again a dead end so we just head back drop off the loot this is actually a tempting item to pick up I'm going to keep it I'm going to sell the rest be careful and I'm going to see if I can buy a sword from haran that looks good this Gladius is level 60 let's see if we can get a better Gladius than this I don't have a scouring orb which is frustrating this has good physical damage otherwise uh well I'll just look for normal sword next time because essentially I'm looking for something I can slap this essence of contempt on to Gladius I'm sorry I wasted you Clarissa have a sword all right final end it's good to tag the way point actually you know what since we never went there let's go find the solar Concourse lunar Concourse would be the easiest way to get to the Harbor Bridge that we need to go to some reason the two deities we're about to fight are hanging out on a bridge who knows why anyways you take the left uh you go left from the Waypoint and you'll eventually get spat out actually might be down and left let me just make sure it isn't yeah it's down and left but still you go left and you'll be spat out to the Solaris Concourse which I generally find to be the easier way to get to the Harbor Bridge well if I was doing my normal route the normal route I basically skip the Grand prominade in general and you can go and take the saris Concourse instead of uh to the Harbor Bridge To The lunaris Concourse cuz this area in the grand prominade you have to basically go through the entire Zone the Solaris Concourse is just way shorter to get to where you need to be in my opinion cuz there's a lot less to explore here like look we're already at the Waypoint into the Harbor Bridge like this is just more immediate by far dirty see like we're right here Harbor Bridge is interesting cuz there's a battle going on you can see the corpses of some uh blue ribbons on this side and also you can see that the sun's on this side it's sunny out here come across solis's minions the solar guard solar Elementals all of that good stuff [Music] um The Annoying temporal proximity Shield enemy that not only has a bubble that you have to get into but when you're in the bubble it slows you but look notice now it's night time we're not going to go on this side cuz we're already at the bridge you just basically get to pick your entrance entry point here to the sky Shrine which look has the symbol of the Sun and the Moon here and if we click it our orbs go away and we free lunar soris lunaris which is probably my favorite fight in the axe you basically pick one to attack and because they hate each other only one's on the arena at the other at a time and then the other one is um hiding in an orb from a distance notice though when each orb appears the Sun and the Moon get eclipsed each orb does different debuff in the arena Solaris has these spear attacks when she puts her spear on the ground she'll throw this magic spear at you that actually you want to just straight up get behind her for it if you don't have fire and cold res for this point you're going to be in trouble cuz look how much damage I'm taking just from the wrong move there lunari has like blade slices generally not as threatening as Lun Solaris as far as attacks go um her orb is more dangerous than her uh slices she has a whirlwind attack you just generally can just stay away from her soluris is a character you want to get close to and you want to get behind Solaris and you're only close to her get behind Solaris get away from lunaris and and you're in a fine spot yeah sores is almost always frontal facing [Music] attacks and she should be dead soon and then the final form and since the sun orb is no longer here we're fighting just the Moon Moon attacks so this Final Phase is slightly different and lunaris is dead lunar and that's the twin god boss fight Pride flaming rage and pass beyond this human age sun and moon return to their rightful places all right a shame I would have enjoyed further sparring matches with those two oh dualist anyways um so the final two major pantheons are actually from one boss fight uh the act9 boss is not going to be a deity Believe It or Not uh and we'll find out what that is in act 9 when we get there I actually like these two a lot um soul of lunaris is actually good for packs and Solaris is good for single Target but also just taking less area damage I think I'm going to go Solaris because area damage comes up a lot and we'll take the Waypoint we'll take the exit to act n which is the aqueduct but you may notice it's a little bloody now we'll find out why in act n I'm going to warp to town though uh in act 8 we'll talk about the blood do later all right let's clean up our gear ah 25% move speed finally and fire and cldas and armor and evasion and more than enough lightning so this is an upgrade right here I think definitely is we'll gear that up next time all Lea not convinced [Music] be careful to uh haven't gotten a level yet so aran's
