all right well good evening nice to see all of ya I know you turn with me to Romans chapter number 14 if you will I know you've all come a long way tonight and a lot of activities and so forth so we're gonna have two sessions I'll teach a little while and then he said we can take a break about 15 minutes and clear the air and then we'll have another session so I'm gonna be I'm gonna do I'm gonna do both the sessions and ice you only get one speaker but you get two doses of it okay he said I could preach an hour and a half if I wanted to I could break it into session so I'll probably break it into two sessions although I can't promise everything I sometimes don't have enough stamina anymore to to do the hour and a half I tell myself and then sometimes people think yeah you do you don't ever quit anyways it's good to be back in North Carolina he said gonna have pizza you know and then he says we're gonna be it's going to come from Pizza Hut I'm from Chicago you don't order pizza from Pizza Hut in Chicago see he's asking me what kind of pizza do you like it so I come to North Carolina come to eat pizza I eat pizza in Chicago I came down here to eat barbecue so he's gonna order barbecue pizza so so at least I'll be happy and my wife won't like that but I'll be happy all right Romans chapter number 14 we're gonna we got a lot of stuff to cover this this evening and this weekend and we're going to be talking about the issue of judgment and the various judgments in the Bible Romans chapter 14 verse number 10 Paul says why does thou judge thy brother why do us thus thou said it not thy brother for we should all stand before the judgment seat of Christ we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ we members of the body of Christ this is where we're going to face a judgment for it is written as I live saith the Lord every knee shall bow to me and every tongue shall confess to god by the way you notice if you're gonna stand before the judgment seat of Christ and he quotes the verse out of Isaiah he quotes it again over and flipping is chapter two and says you're gonna stand before God if you're going to stand before the judgement seat of Christ and you're going to stand before God who does that tell you Christ is yeah and if you're gonna see God who you're going to see Jesus Christ so it then every one of us should give account of himself to God that's an issue about a very special judgment that has to do with you and me as members of the church the body of Christ when we talk about judgment and we talk about the judgments of the Bible and the fact that we're going to stand before him in judgment it's there's an issue about rightly dividing the word that you got to get here we're going to go over a number the judgments this weekend the judgment seat of Christ a judgment the nation's the judgment of Israel the great white throne judgment know all the various things that are in your bulletin you see the topics if you read the average commentary and listen to most preachers they always they see judgment it's like when somebody says baptism everybody goes water because they think you know they think baptism must all be water there's all kind of different baptisms in the Bible most of which have nothing to do with water there are first baptism in the Bible first Corinthians 10 says that the nation is was baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea and when they went across the Red Sea none of them got wet in fact they went across in dry land there's a dust storm come up around them they're baptized under mode that's a drive the first baptism recorded in scriptures a dry baptism so people said what's that Matthew 3:11 talked Jesus says John the Baptist says I'm baptize you with water so there's water baptism he that comes after me is mightier than I who baptized you with the Holy Ghost and with fire there's three baptisms in one verse three different kind of baptisms in one verse so every time you see that word baptized at the Bible you can't just go water because it didn't always water that's what people think you know because they there's a thing a little disease called water on the brain you know hydrocephaly as you know what that is and people have that well they do the same thing with judgment and every time you see judgment people think well it's lost people issued about dying going to hell and and am I going to go to heaven I'm gonna go to hell that kind of thing if you don't understand the issue of judgment in relationship to right division you're going to get confused there are actually seven different judgments in the Bible seven major judgments you know sometimes we say there are seven baptisms in the Bible there's seven major baptism really there's about a dozen different ones but some of them can be compiled compiled in and in and and broken down to seven major ones there's seven basic major judgments in Scripture the first one takes place from the word Jesus Christ dies at Calvary if you look at 2nd Corinthians chapter number 1 second print in Chapter number five when Jesus Christ died at Calvary our sins and our sin Jesus Christ died for our sins you know the verse 2nd Corinthians chapter number 5 the very last verse of that chapter Paul says for to hid for he that is God the Father has made him that is God the Son to be sin for us the one that knew no sin was made my sin your sin God the Father took your sin accounted it to him and as he hung there on the cross Jesus Christ died for your sins and this is important because your sin has been judged it's been sufficiently and eternally and totally dealt with at Calvary and so when Jesus Christ died at Calvary he wasn't dying because he was a sinner he was dying because you're a sinner he's a perfect sinless son of God who willingly took our sin upon himself and paid our sin-debt he died a death that he didn't deserve wouldn't his knew because you owed a debt you couldn't pay you know the song about that so when Jesus Christ died there he died is the propitiation the fully satisfying sacrifice to pay for your sin so the first judgment in the Bible you've got to understand about the first issue between you and God is the issue of the judgment the payment for your sins and our sins are completely and sufficiently and totally paid for when Jesus Christ died at Calvary the only thing that will ever put away sin is the cross work of Jesus Christ your confession your repentant your turning over a new leaf you're making deals with God about what you're going to do for him in the future we'll never deal with your sin the only thing that will deal with your sin is the cross it's the only thing that'll live with the guilt of your sin pay for the debt of your sin it's the only thing that's going to set you free from because he didn't just die there for you he died there as you you literally died at Calvary because God puts you in his son then he put him in you and that gives you life so the cross is the first the the cross the first judgment is the judgment for sins and for sin and that's at the cross and that's the that's the absolute most important judgment you can ever talk about okay now after you get saved you trust Jesus Christ as your Savior you become a member of the church the body of Christ and as a member of the body of Christ come with me to first Corinthians chapter 11 there is a judgment that you and I are to participate in on a daily basis in our own lives and if if our sins are dealt with there this is what we call the self judgment that is this is where we evaluate our life and look at our life and deal with ourself in life 1st Corinthians chapter number 11 beginning in verse 23 the Apostle Paul talks about the the the memorial of the Lord's table he says for I've received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you how the how the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread when he given thanks he brake it and said take eat this is my body which is broken for you for this doing remembrance of me after the same manner also he took the cup when he had supped saying this cup is the New Testament in my blood this do ye as often as you drink it in remembrance of me for his often as you eat this bread and drink this cup you do show the Lord's death till he come now in this in this communion service the Lord the Lord's table that the the Saints there are take our doing they didn't do what you're used to doing at the end of a little at the end of a morning service an evening service and you got the guys gonna come down and get the little glass and put a little grape juice in it and pass it out among you and little crackers and that kind of stuff that's the Protestant version of the Roman Catholic Mass okay that isn't what they were doing that that's what you're used to doing that's where I was raised to do you know we and maybe still some people do I don't care if you do it that way that's your business that isn't what they were doing they were having a supper it's not the the the the the Lord snack or the nazarene nibble you know the joke about the little boy he sits through the communion and and they and they give him a little little glass you know and and and the and the little piece of cracker and you know it's getting on about 12:30 on Sunday morning and he's you know the preachers done preached and he's waiting to go to go to lunch and comes by and he gets at and he eats it he looks at his mom says is that all we get for lunch well that's not much not very satisfying see these people what they did is they had a fellowship meal that's what breaking bread in the Bible is about we had a meal together that's what the Lord did and when he broke the bread he it wasn't just that he's taking a loaf of bread and cracking it like that they broke bread they set and had a meal together and after the supper then he took then he took the cup it's interesting in Paul's epistles that he doesn't tell you how to do this what's this supposed to look like you read down through this you can glean out of it but he doesn't tell you when and how and so he does tell him the last verse of that the things that are wanting I'll set in order when I get there well if he was going to tell the Corinthians how to do it when he got there why did he write it in the text it was like I really I said my way it save a lot of arguing among people if it he just wrote down the reason he didn't is because the way you do it physically isn't the issue it's what you're doing is the issue what are you doing when you do it you're showing forth the Lord's death till he comes you're showing the fact that you and I are one not because of our political agreements and our theological agreements and our economic agreements and our our good looks and happier feelings about one another we're one because of the shedding blood and broken body of our Savior what makes us one tonight is the cross work of Christ what gathers you here tonight has to do with an understanding a commonality of appreciation for what Jesus Christ did when he died it was very rose again for our justification he's our life he's the bread of life he's where we get our sustenance from in it's his blood that gives us that life his sacrifice at Calvary provides our life and that's what it's at spiritual reality you ever heard anybody I years ago I heard hey there's a fella we have a few folks around even yet that like to shout you guys don't shout I guess but I think he probably might have used to you know you get to pick up grace believe me to kind of settle down a little bit we had a guy one time we and our in our church in Chicago there was a lady she'd sit right about there and I you it's not you but about where she'd sit on Sunday morning and our auditorium is kind of long and she'd sit about that third pew back and about 10 minutes into the preach and she'd go to sleep every every time I didn't care who was preaching 10 minutes in she's asleep there's a guy sitting on the Pew right behind her who hadn't been there very long and he was he was still kind of happy he'd come out of the denomination he you know we messed his religion up he got all excited about grace and he's all excited and I'm there one morning and she's she's out I don't bother me I mean I know she's gonna be out so she's out and he's he's gone and all of a sudden he just got real happy and he says well praise the Lord whoo I mean just I don't know where poom now she woke up threw her Bible up into the air bulletins flying all over like confetti and she got out of war hoop and he scared the bejeebers out of her her Bible was about five pews back well he didn't break up the meeting but it costs a little little conversation through this one of the brothers went to him later and he says you know brother well done we appreciate them through you know when people are studying and thinking to come out without instantaneous little Wow kind of scared maybe you should build up to it a little bit so now what he does just say amen praise the Lord and you know in a minute who coming but he gives you a little a little warning ahead you know and somebody says well that's just flesh we need to be in the spirit and the other brother action suit you ever heard of spirit shout no if the spirit shouts you had to use your vocal cord and do it see and understand that peacefully less not spiritual that's in the flesh well what times it is I'm standing that people running the island hootenanny that kind of stuff got nothing to do with anything understanding it's just it's it's just the you know the glory breezes hit on that kind of stuff that's not that's just all a buncha you can get that down at Joe's Pub down here or paddy Long's place over yonder you can get that over there but you know if if the spirit if you're gonna have a spiritual shout it's gonna have to come from the Spirit of God working any of the truth working and you're making you excited but then it's gonna come out kind of thing well that's what that's what's going on here they having a spiritual appreciation for what's happening and what you're doing the local church is then you express that and one of the ways that Paul taught them to do it the Lord gave them to do it is as often issued you get together and you recalibrate your life and in the local assembly and you remind yourself and blah I tell you it's good to do this every now and then to remind yourself what makes us one here isn't the fact that we all agree about the color of the carpet or we all agree about how this thing ought to be done of that thing ought to be done the thing that gets us together is the it is the cross work of Christ in our life in him and a common appreciation of that as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup ye do show the Lord's death till Iike by the way one of the one of the groups you show that too is the angels and the principalities in heavenly places the thing about that claw sufficient 310 the Angels watch and you have a ministry to make to manifest to the principalities and powers in heavenly places the manifold wisdom of God you have a ministry far beyond just whatever you're doing where you are and the body of Christ is designed to have an impact that ripples out all through the universe all these angels you can't see them here this evening but all the angelic creatures that watch it isn't just on the video and the internet people watch there are people in the spirit creatures in the spirit world and the angel around that watch and listen you need to be aware of that and when you're washing dishes and thinking about what's going on you know when you cook and cook and supper or something I'm cutting the grass doing whatever it is you're doing you need to be aware that there's a spiritual impact and all of that well anyway verse 32 27 wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread and drink this cup the fellowship meal unworthily that is in the right doing it in the wrong manner that doesn't mean you had you're gonna be worthy you're never gonna be worthy of anything ever gotta give you give you someone not do not doing it in a way that shows the words death shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord but a lot of man examine himself and so let him eat of that bread drink of that Cup for he that eateth and drinketh unworthily eateth and drinketh damnation to himself not discerning the Lord's body people get upset when they see that word damnation he's not talking about damning you to hell there's a lot of condemnation that doesn't put you in hell he that what sir it's not is not of faith is sin first Romans 14 says why do you can no better read you the verse that that's quoted to you happy is he that condemneth not himself and the thing which he allow us a verse on when Timothy talks about the woman he says that I better read this one to you to first Timothy 5 verse 11 but the the young wood has refused for when they have given begun to wax wanton against Christ they shall marry having damnation because they've cast off their first faith when he talks about having damnation hidden home that they're gonna die and go to hell he says go sundown this says she that liveth and pleasure is dead while she lives how can you be dead and live will you understand that that's Romans chapter eight verse verse twelve and thirteen if we're walking in the flesh you shall die what's going to happen to your Christian life in your Christian experience what's going to happen in bringing the reality of who you are into Christ into your experience on a daily basis it isn't going to be there you'll be like the guy in Ephesians chapter number number five when it says arise from the dead awake or are they dead spiritually no they're just asleep they're not functioning you've been conditioned where your Christian life doesn't function you're saved but even you're not you're not getting the impact in your life about it that's just you know Paul did that in Romans seven he said the good that I would do I don't leave a little don't want to do I do you know you know that experience don't you he said to will is present with me but how to perform oh I want to Lord but the reality is I just don't get there how to perform that's why it says Oh wretched man that I am who should deliver me from the body of this death that's where you are here at verse 30 but this cause many are weak and sickly among you and then you sleep for if we would watch judge ourselves we should not be judged but when we are judged we're chasing to the Lord now notice verse 32 when we are judged well you want to ask yourself in that verse who's judging you he says if we judge selves we won't be judged that's what I'm talking about the self judgment and if you judge yourself somebody else won't have to do it for you but if somebody else has to do it for you then you're chasing to the Lord that you should not be condemned with the world wherefore my brethren when you come together to eat tarry one for another if any man hungry let him eat at home that should come not together unto condemnation the judgment there is we judge ourselves and then the other brothers don't have to do it for us you remember that verse in Galatians 6 which says you the DiSpirito you see won't overtaken in a fault what do you do go seek to restoring considering yourself the three ways God chastens a believer in the dispensation of grace number one and it all all works this way with the Word of God you remember David said that word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee the scripture is given for doctrine but what else reproof correction does reproof and correction sound like chastening chastening is to correct someone with a view of changing their behavior that's what Jason is reprove that's something you should not do correction here's the thing you shouldn't do instead of that you should we like that we like the Scriptures giving for doctrine whew let's get the doctrine but we ought to love the correction and reproof as much as we love the doctrine because the doctrines designed to change our life and put on display through our life the transforming power of the doctrine of grace that we're believing and it's designed to work itself out in our experience and it changes and it will and it'll tell you the things that you don't need in your life it'll reprove those things bring them to light and then it will correctly it'll show you how to fix those things that are in your life I got an email just this afternoon it was got over the hotel I'm hooked up my computer and looking at email and last about a week and a half ago I got this long email from a brother asking me some questions about some things and difficulties it is having in his life and then today I got this email from him and he says you know I listened to your message last Friday night in Arizona and you don't need to answer my other me my email I got the point I'd do it myself I said well glory to God bless somebody got something out of that message and he would listen on the internet too I was in Arizona last week and and in a conference was it last week or two weeks ago whenever it was I'm I can't remember where I'm at right now I know where I'm at now don't worry was last time but anyway the point is he got through the study of the scripture the answer for his own problem you know what that is that's growing up brother people ask me all the time said brother Jordan do you do counseling I say absolutely one-hour Sunday morning one hour Sunday night when our Wednesday you know and if you're getting three hours of public counseling a week and if you get all of that and you need some personal attention beyond that come see me but don't come see me if you're not getting all that because there's plenty of information and all that that'll help you well you don't need to come and sit down with me and and tell me all of it you know use me as a confession board you can do it the verse says you can judge yourself how does that happen the word if God works in your heart to reprove and correct them to teach but what happens if you don't pay attention to the word of God pretty soon it's going to be obvious to the Brethren around you and the brothers arounds are instructed to do what you see what you see oh brother overtaken in a fault don't just go yeah yeah don't just walk around over here don't be around him anymore what do you do you seek to restore him you bring the scripture to them and say look have you thought about this you don't wanna say you shouldn't do that you're going to see love brother have you thought about this and you sit down with them over the work and you bring the word to them and you do what Paul calls admonish to admonish is to warn somebody about something they're doing with a view of changing their behavior that's the same thing chastening is designed to do now when when that happens and someone comes and does that that's what he's talking there when we are judged when the other brother comes along and brings the word that's God chastening that's God reproving that's God working through them to correct them so that you wouldn't be chasing with the world that's that third way because if you won't internally obey God's Word and you won't let the Brethren bring the scripture to you where you go back and believe it in a confronted body you remember he did that the God first Corinthians 5 living an open sent assembly wasn't doing this job to all puffed up rather than morning and trying to help him what's he do he says deliver someone to Satan put him out you want to live in the world there no live in the world for the destruction of the flesh you know what will have you you you know the quickest way to get rid of your flesh life is just to let somebody just go get it people I've watched this thing for a long time I started preaching in a rescue mission intercity mission back in the 60s first time I ever saw drunk I was I was racing home didn't have alcohol was never in our home my dad didn't cuss he didn't drink he didn't do all the things that the world does and I was raised in a Christian home first time I ever saw anybody inebriated under the influence of alcohol walking up the driveway in the rescue mission and I didn't know what was wrong with him no idea everybody laughing at me I really pretty don't know what's going on you know but I learned watching those guys you know what I've learned in in 40 years of doing this I've learned that you don't need a rehab program to get over alcohol any other kind of addiction chemical addiction whatever it would be you don't need you don't need a addiction recovery program to get over a bad spirit and angry disposition you know what you need to do you just need to get sick of it and when you get tired you get sick of it and you don't want it anymore you know what you get over it and that it's what sets you free but you got a person to take it and apply it and make it real in your life and what people do is they do all this this enabling stuff they call it that's just excusing it brother Venice used to say guys got to come all the way to the bottom before you get out of the bottle they used to advertise a beer call it the finest product of the Brewers arc bill the rental shoes the second bring them down to the mission I'll show you the finished product to the Brewers are and you don't say if you don't get to the end of it but that's when you go there you tossed to and fro like a drunkard man the psalmist says at his wits end that's when this one place you got to go well in your life when you're there that's what he's doing I get he's just put him out there to be condemned with the way he not gonna die and go to hell he just get what to what gets what sin gets the natural consequences of sin you know what it does you remember the prodigal he came to himself you remember that and they eat in the husk he said in my father's house you know what he did he came to the he said there's something bad in what's going on here but you know he didn't he didn't get to the father's house with any joy till it got down to the end of the Pigpen to the end of him so there's self-judgment there's bringing by faith your identity in Christ into the reality of the details of your life where you sit and look at your life not to find all the things that you can condemn yourself for and feel bad you know I tell people all the time I learned years ago preachers like to kick them you know people call it good preacher I remember the I remember years ago when one of my boys he just maybe maybe like the fourth grade and I went he was in a Christian school down Alabama and I went to Chapel one day and they had one of the teenaged boys about 17 year old from the from the school the senior high school and he's preaching and he's preaching around he said ah a lifetime seeming it's so bad the world is just going to hell on the handbag in my whole life I'm thinking your whole life doesn't in conscious of life but about three years and that's what preachers do they call that good preaching man just condemn everybody you know why if you're not here on the doors oh well you're here long people aren't here that knee didn't need to hear that aren't here you know what I learned through the ears I don't need to condemn you you'll eat your own lunch better than I ever could I don't care who you are that little voice in your head that's you that's not God it's not the devil that's you and that little self talking voice in your head I don't care what kind of most you make out there but that little voice in your heads always questioning you you see that little voice in your head knows everything you ever did my wife doesn't like to go around with me when I'm preaching shower I'd heard all that before well I have to but I had to hear it again that little voice in your head knows everything you've ever done there's all the thoughts nobody else knows and he knows how often you drop the cheese off the cracker and how often you come short and every time you want to stick your little chest out and hold you hold your shoulders back and stand tall that little voice says yeah but don't you remember and brings you down don't you know what you'll you you you beat yourself up worse than anybody else could you can turn me off you can get rid of me you wake up in the morning 5:30 in the morning bright eyed and bushy tailed little boy starts running around in your head you can't get rid of him I hurt so much noise in the world out there and you can crank the noise up put your iPods in get turn you to get your tunes going and you know what it's just the version it's not relief because soon you should turn it off the battery's running down that little boy's goes ah yeah I'm sorry now we're gonna talk more so I'm not what I've learned is there's an answer so I don't waste time trying to tear people up I'd rather point you to the answer and the answer is for you to take the identity God gives you through the cross and to bring that in the end the self judgment is bringing into my life Who I am in Christ and putting out of my life the things that I'm not the grace of God teaches us that denying ungodliness that that's not who I am anymore denying ungodliness I should live soberly righteously and godly this is who I am after the dispensation of grace is over Christ comes back we'd go out at the event called the rapture first Thessalonians chapter hold on the first Corinthians chapter number four and first US alone in Chapter four first Thessalonians chapter four verse number 15 for this we say unto you by the word of the Lord that we which are alive and remain under the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep for the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of the Archangel with the Trump of God I people say we're not looking for the signs of the times and we're not but we're not looking for signs we'll listen for some shouts some some some noises we're listening for the shout the voice of the Archangel the Trump of God fascinating things Jesus Christ the Lord Himself descends from heaven with a shout as a resurrection with the voice of the Archangel the dispensation of grace began with the appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ appalled it will end with his appearing for the body of Christ the appearing of Christ appalled over here was a totally unexpected prophecy interrupting event his appearing for the body of Christ over here will be a totally unexpected prophecy rhe beginning event follow that when he came over here the people standing around Paul heard the noise but didn't understand what was being said in that Paul didn't hear the noise he heard the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ they're gonna hear the voice the shout the trumpet but only the believers are going to understand what it says it's fascinating we were two alive and remain be caught up together the dead in Christ shall rise first then we which alive and remain are caught up they come up first then we go that way we both are even when they go up they got their six feet under they got to get a head start to come up even with us and then we the verse says then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air so first we're caught up together with them in the clouds we were reunited and then we meet them and that meeting that's where the judgment seat of Christ takes place right there when he says will meet the Lord that's not meeting like hey you know who I met down at the mall yesterday and I just bumped into somebody we live down south we went to the mall on Friday and Saturday to see people that we knew do you do that where I live now you go to the mall you never see anybody you know if you if you go to the mall and see somebody you know you're shocked dad hey the mall we go to close to our house you go out on a Saturday there with 15,000 people in the mall the one right down the road from us we go to another be forty thousand people on that it's easy not this easy to get lost and never see anybody you know in those malls where we lived in Alabama there weren't forty thousand people in two counties so we'd go the mall to see people we knew but if I meet somebody at the mall now it's a but didn't this meeting is we get a phone call says I want to remind Cynthia that she's got a hair appointment at 7 o'clock Tuesday night so my wife goes to the hairdresser at 7 o'clock on Tuesday night for me and she meets Andrea at the hairdresser at 7 o'clock on Tuesday night that's a plan meeting that's this meeting 1st Corinthians chapter 4 verse number 5 therefore judge nothing before the time notice when is the time until the Lord come then when is the time for judgment for the believer what judgment are we talking about who should both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the counselors of the heart and then shall every man have praise of God when is it that we're evaluating we stand before God and get our evaluation from him that's the judgment seat of Christ when does that take place when the Lord comes when is that is right there so the judgment seat of Christ is going to take place here okay now after the judgement seat of Christ takes place is going to be the time of Jacob's trouble on the earth but we'll talk about that tomorrow another way will the time of Wrath and tribulation in this period of time of the tribulation here the function the purpose of the 70th week of Daniel is to judge and purge out the rebel out of the nation Israel the purpose of the 70th week of Daniel is not to convince anybody in America or South America or Europe or Africa or Asia to take the mark of the beast and that kind of stuff the purpose of the seventh week of daniel ezekiel chapter number 20 is to purge out the rebel from israel this is a time of the judgment it's called the time of Jacob's trouble when God purges out the rebel judges the nation Israel and identically separates the wheat from the tares and then there's the judgment Matthew 13 at the end when Christ comes back and he John the Baptist says he's going to thoroughly purge his floor he'll burn up he'll gather the wheat the believers in here into the kingdom into the into the garner over here put them into the kingdom and then he'll burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire so you have the judgment of Israel then you have it the second advent of Christ you have the judgment of the nation's that is the gen after he's purged Israel and takes them into the kingdom what Gentiles get go into the kingdom and we're gonna talk about this tomorrow night and that's the judgment of the nations and that takes place here in the Millennium at the end of the millennium heaven earth pass away and you have the new heavens to the new earth and you have the great white throne judgment you remember that check your head yes that's what this one everybody knows about and the lost are sent to the lake of fire and there's actually two judgments that take place here one is the judgment of the Lost and the other is the judgment of the angelic realm the angels at that kept not their first estate and we'll talk about that on Sunday okay she got seven judgments you start out with Calvary where sin sin is judged then you have the opportunity of self judgment each day to take to take the reality of who you are in Christ and bring it into your life then you're going to go to the judgment seat of Christ and that's this judgment here is going to be based upon it's going to be a review of the of your application of your identity here then you have the judgment of Israel the judgment the nation's the judgment the loss the judgment the angels most of the time people try to make the judgment the judgment seat of Christ this you're in trouble if it is people take judgment the nation's and make it that in trouble if it is they don't get confused so the issue of judgment really is a dispensational issue and you need to be able to put them where they belong on the chart you with me with that and go back with me if you will to second Corinthians chapter number I'm sorry Romans chapter four not trying to remember what to look at Romans chapter number four and coming within the first corinthians chapter 3 first corinthians chapter 3 verse number 10 a certain verse 9 first gun says 3 9 for we are we are laborers together with God you're God's husbandry you're God's building according to the grace of God which is given unto me as a wise masterbuilder I've laid the foundation and another buildeth thereon but let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon notice that the issue in this text is going to be building on the foundation Paul laid on the foundation can no man lay than that which is laid which is Jesus Christ the foundation is Jesus Christ the foundation is the truth about the Lord Jesus Christ Romans chapter 16 Paul says that we that he that God establishes you by the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery you know that verse didn't say preaching about Jesus Christ it says the preaching of Jesus Christ if you go to on 1st Corinthians chapter 4 here talk about a second present chapter 4 he says whom we preach we preach not ourselves but Christ Jesus the Lord the message that we preach is really not a bunch of doctrine and theological concepts we're really preaching and infusing Jesus Christ into people his life how does that work he said the words that I speak unto you they are spirit and their life when the Spirit of God works in you how does he do it he does it through his word you see the tangible measurable objective standard by which the Spirit of God works is his word he's not floating around out here in the fog because the tangible measure of how he works isn't a fog I listen to a meeting in Chicago a couple of years ago big famous place big school thousands of people in this meeting came down the guy's going to give an invitation at the end of a message and he's talking about he gets some he says now the Spirit of God is walking up and down the pews here tonight and I'm thinking boy better putting a feet up underneath the seat I don't want to trip him words mean things folks spirit of God's not walking up and down the aisles here tonight the way he works is through his word and he works but he works through his word so if it's going to be Christ in you she would preach Christ the doctrine is designed to produce his life the words that I speak their spirit and their life that's where the life-giving Spirit of God works is through the Word of God so as you build on the Yui the foundation is Christ the truth about Jesus Christ that builds this foundation that's developed into your life now verse 12 now if any man build upon this foundation gold silver precious stones wood hay stubble every man's work should be made manifest for the day shall declare it because it shall be revealed by fire and the fire should be Trever man's work of what sort it is and if any man's work abide which he has built there on he should receive a reward and if any man work shall be burned he should suffer loss but he himself should be saved yet so is my fire now I want you to notice something in that we before we take a break when he talks about verse 13 every man's work should be made manifest what is the work that's going to be made manifest well what's the work in the chapter the work is building doctrine on a foundation Paul laid the foundation and now you build on the foundation the work in the text here has to do with building doctrine into people so when you go to the judgment seat of Christ what's the doctrine that you've been building my point right now is that when you go to the judge see Christ sin is not going to be the issue Romans chapter 4 verse number 6 start in verse 4 Romans 4:4 to him that works work at this the reward not reckoned of grace but of debt but to him that works not but believes on him that justifies the ungodly his faith is counted for righteousness the only response that grace will accept his faith grace will not accept works as a response why hold your hand there look at chapter 11 verse number 6 here's a verse you need to get nailed down in your understanding Romans 11 verse 6 if by grace then it is no more of works otherwise grace is no more grace grace does not accept your efforts the only response grace will accept is your faith because faith is the only thing you can do without doing anything look back at Romans 3 verse 27 where is the boasting then it is excluded by what law of works nay but by the law of faith the only thing that excludes your ability to say I had a part in it is faith you ever hear Calvinists come along and say well if you've got say I'm who saves you you are God well God does well then you gave me then God has to give you faith because if you exercise faith it was you doing it not God doing it and if you if you if you're saying because you believe then you've got something to boast of hogwash why do I say that because I can read Romans 327 says that's hogwash well didn't set that way it said nay but you know what means modern translation hogwash no that's just a bunch of theological tomfoolery faith is the only response graceful accept Romans chapter 3 chapter 4 verse number 16 therefore it is of faith that it might be by grace you see that it's a faith that it might be by grace faith establishes Grace that's the principle because the only response grace can accept is you don't do anything you just believe it verse six man has state that's counted him for righteousness even as david also described the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness without sin I'm sorry without works saying blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered blessed is the man watch to whom the Lord will not impute iniquity no wonderful completely totally eternally forever successfully dealt with we're right there that means in here when you see sin in your life you don't need to jump up and down and go to some Protestant confessional and claim short accounts I was raised on a religious system that we always had to keep short accounts you know what that is weren't raised in that first John 1:9 if we confess our sins he's faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness and when every time the owner keys talk to God the first thing you mr. Lord I just want to confess it on the center on confessor every time you had to see you got to go confess it why so God would forgive you because if you had known sin in your life you broke fellowship with God and your communion fellowship with him was disturbed because of your sin and until you confessed it the the fellowship was broken if that verse says never happened I think I silly that is if we confess in our if we if we confess our sins he's faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness tell me something how many times can you be cleansed from all unrighteousness one time two times guy said to me well how many times can my wife spend all my money every time I got some but the verdict the answer that's in verse number eight blessed is the man whom the Lord will not impute sin he's right every time you've got sin imputed to you in cleanser so after he puts you into Christ how many sins does impute to you what's the verse say none your sins are covered I used to be a painter I gave it up yeah you got a wall all scarred up messed up you paint on it you paint it paint covers a multi use doping paint covers a multitude of sins it does you know just cover all up all that stuff he comes along and puts it all under the blood somebody says when I paint that wall and it looks nice now but the kids come along with the magic mark and write on it again verse eight says ain't nothin will get rid of it any more I got it covered nothing ever gonna be put on it any more no more bad marks that means when you get to the judgment seat of Christ it isn't gonna be a sin issue because sins been taken care of there you need to understand if you don't get this you know what's going to dominate and run your life your failures you're gonna live identifying yourself by your failure you're gonna allow a defeated enemy to run your life because what's you focus on is what runs you what should I talk about the application this in our next session but I want you to understand when you get here if you've got one Unforgiven sin you ain't getting there you're going there how many times Adam and Eve have sin to get kicked out of the garden that's all it takes one Unforgiven sin so you need to understand when it comes to the judgment seat of Christ this is going to be an issue it's not going to be an issue of my sin or my sins because the sin issue is settled at the cross grace requires a participating response of faith look at one verse and we'll take a break 1st Thessalonians chapter 2 one chapter and we'll take a break 1st Thessalonians 2 verse 13 for this cause also thank we God without ceasing because when you receive the Word of God which you heard of us you received it not as word of men but as it is in truth the Word of God which effectually worketh also in you that believes what is it that makes God's grace work in your life believing it verse 19 for what is our joy our hope or joy or crown of rejoicing are not even ye and the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming that's the first talking about what Paul's going to think about them when they're getting over here being reviewed when he comes why is it that they're going to be his joy and hope and crown of rejoicing over here because the Word of God worked effectual in them because they believed it God's grace requires a participating response of faith it's the only response that we'll accept but it requires it in order to activate it and make it productive in your life and the gap between what you know about what God says and how it impacts your life the gap between it is faith the key to appropriating into your experience the reality of who you are in Christ is faith it's not i but christ and the connecting point is to believe that and to walk by faith okay now we're going to take a break for about ten minutes we're going to come back and I want to talk to you about the three passages that tell you what's going to happen to you right there what I've done so far I start ticketless not what it's not going to be okay alright let's take a break you
