celebrate their God by cutting themselves other people celebrate their God by walking on hot coals other people celebrate their God by offering up their children in sacrifice now all we got to do is praise Him and that's how we celebrate him now come on and praise your God Morris amen amen amen my lord my lord my lord tell uni but that's what I came to do I came to celebrate you may look pretty but I didn't come to celebrate you I came to celebrate yet amen I'd like to honor of course we honor the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior amen and I honor the extreme presiding bishop none other than our apostle Cornelius Showell or to join me or we can do better than that honor here god bless you we honor all of the other leaders of the church the first a second the assistant the leaders the bishop boards the elders the Deacons the missionaries the first ladies all of you who are in leadership I honor you tonight amen but I honor every saint in the house tell your neighbor I honor you tonight on a because we serve the same God amen praise the Lord you may be seen if you may be seated congratulations is this your fifty second 56 my god some organizations rise it in a year they disappear but scripture amen and then we're going to go to Jude going to go to the book of Jude amen because that's really where I want to go that's right before revelation and we're going to go to Jude the twenty-fourth chapter that's it right there Jew 24 had two things in mind but I think I want to stick with Jude 24 we can read it together can't we read this together it begins a reading of God's Holy Word now unto Him we see people standing and I'm glad you stand some churches they don't stand at all and some churches they don't have a Bible and I know you have iPad iPod whatever you have just turned to June 24 and no me Texan amen June 24 he begins God's Word now unto him that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy that's a text you may be seated alright now I don't have to be a news reporter tonight I don't have to be a current event person tonight if you have an internet if you listen to the radio television we know what time will it and we know what's happening in Congress we know what laws they're passed we know what bills they're presented we know exactly what's going on in the world but we also know that the church has adopted the world's philosophy it's not even quiet anymore they are openly blatantly defiantly defected and some of us are quietly in agreement but the subject tonight is a 21st century pastoral doxology 21st century pastoral doxology it's amazing that a book with just one chapter can be so profound can bring so much information and can just wreck your life if you read it Jude very humbly calls himself a servant of Jesus Christ brother of James and some say that he was one of Jesus's hath brother James and Jude and they were later on after the resurrection they became apostles but he calls himself like his brother James a servant I just wish we would just go back to that title I just wish we could just say servant McCullough alright now here we are looking at this man or looking through this man and listening to him as he spoke to his generation and trying to glean to take away what did he say to his generation that we can say to ours are there similarities in terms of issues and challenges and problems that concern him that should concern us or should we keep our nose in the sand and just pretend as if things are going to be as usual he had a burden tell your neighbors good to have a burden is good to have a bird he had a doxology and what is a doxology it's giving praise and glory ascription of glory and praise it's really a short description and you can find that it is strongly stated in the Psalms for instance Psalm 96 honor and Majesty of before him strength and beauty are its sanctuary give unto the Lord all ye Kindred's of the people give unto the Lord glory and strength give unto the Lord glory due to his name being an offering and come into his courts all worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness fear before him all the earth say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth the word also shall be established that he shall not be moved let the field be joyful and all that is therein then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice before the Lord for he cometh for he cometh to judge the earth he shall judge the world with righteousness and the people with its truth that's a doxology they use it in the synagogue can you imagine that when they got up to teach before and after they just talked about God in his glory in his Majesty in his beauty his power and then said he's coming to judge truth I wonder how we end our services the Apostles used it in Romans 11:36 they said for him and through him and to him are all things to whom be glory for ever amen first Timothy 1:17 now unto the king eternal immortal invisible the only wise God be honor and glory for ever and ever amen you can't end like that and people say the prayers of indice so why is Jude writing this letter to a Gentile Church because he is concerned about the lowering of the standard I'm not going to be long just hold with me for a minute he's concerned about the fact that holy living is no more stressed he's concerned about the fact that there's a great falling away now falling away doesn't mean they leave the building they fall away in the pew and so he says beloved while I was giving all diligence to write unto you of our common salvation I was constrained in other words I was going to write to a nice little encouraging letter just to boost you and motivate you but I was constrained I was gripped by the Holy Ghost to exhort you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once delivered unto the Saints something was delivered in the first century that we are dropping in the twenty for a century something was gonna fit somewhere along the way we have left that first century foundational truth he says I received distressing knowledge and the seriousness about the Brotherhood they're drifting till your name of the church is drifting so you can sit in church and drift you can sit in church and fall asleep lots of sleepers with your eyes wide open disconnect indifferent unattached you know I'm saying other agenda planning in their mind playing with their little toys and completely drifting from the pulpit to the pew this concerns me because I'm a true servant of the Lord Jesus Christ you see true leaders get concerned what is he concerned about that within the congregation there is a group called The Libertines and who were the libertines you know these were Jews that were really enslaved by the Roman Empire and they got their freedom and they came into the church and they got saved but they brought a certain lifestyle with them you know when people have been restrained for a long time it's like a child that grows up in a house where it's very very strict ridiculously straight and when they get out they just go to the deep end so these people even though they came in the synagogue and came in the church they decided that they were going to water down the standard and that they were going to live by their sensuality and if you read Jude is loaded with sensuality it's loaded another word for sensuality is the flesh and it it lives out the flesh in a certain way superstition practicing superstition and witchcraft now today we don't do superstition we do new-age we do Oprah we do dr. Phil we do yoga same thing providers of grace we deny the grace of God the grace is no more efficacious it doesn't work in other words if you're an adulterer don't try to change because just come to church and shout because the grace of God doesn't have the power to change you all right your are arrogant detractors in other words you don't have any reverence there was a time when we reverence the house of God and we reverence the things of God and we reverence leadership now we're arrogant we're rude we are argumentative oh my god we we have a lot to say we we create division we're ignorant we are brutish we're hypocrite and deceivers grumblers fault liners pleasure seekers and boosters we're parasites we take advantage of the church's privileges but we don't pay tithes and offering schismatic and sensualist we laugh at the preacher we make jokes of the word we mock what the preachers say we take the Word of God and twist it and bend it to suit our own lives we're just Libertines we live free from any kind of restraints we don't like instructions we don't like boundaries we don't like to be told what to do we believe that well I'm saved the Lord understands so I can live the way I want to live it was getting so out of control just like the church is out of control today we have taken on the philosophies evangelicals are joining with all kinds of special interest groups to say that we are tolerant and we we don't see that where God is against certain because first of all we don't know the Bible we don't study the Bible if somebody ask you why you should have a tattoo why you should have a tattoo why st. student at to whether on your rear end or on their neck they shouldn't tattoo we don't even know where that scripture is to say it's against God and his standard body piercing body piercing so the organist can have a tattoo and something in his nose and and the leader of the choir can have a tattoo and something up her nose and her ears and we don't even know where Scripture because we don't go to Bible study we don't like to hear the word of God and we want to be free like the world let us contend for the faith did you hear what I said this is a 21st century doxology for he is still the same yesterday I'm almost finished now today and forever so the percentage of defecting the percentage of functional atheists now I'm not denouncing God but I don't believe none of that I just come to church because I don't want anybody to think I'm a sinner but I don't believe it and I don't live in on when I go home I live the way I want to the percentage is increasing so if I'm now going on with the Lord serving the Lord and I'm watching the time I'm going to become discouraged and ask myself is there anybody that's going to be safe does it pay to live right his holiness still right do I preach and mourn and sit down or do I teach the word until ignorance goes out the door what do i do what do i do plans to do it do i just entertain like anybody else just me do i just make you feel good and give you a clap clap and then have a little recreation in the basement and then do some other things and make you feel good and then dress down with dirty jeans and my shirt open so I could connect with you what do I do cuz it seemed like the ones who do that get the folk what do i do I contend for the faith did you hear what I said tonight that was once delivered onto the same do i preach a message that will make you feel good or do i preach the word that is determined to change your heart so Jude became concerned because the members of the church who really want to go with God are now being affected influenced discouraged by what they see somebody who is living any kind of way can be so talented and make albums and get people to support them somebody who is blatantly defiant can seem to get a law a big following and here you are sitting in the corner like a Wallflower and nobody cares about you so you ask yourself maybe I should live like that this will pay to be serious doesn't pay to be committed doesn't pay to be straight maybe it's alright to be a little different and so it got so out of control that Jude said listen I got to encourage you there are few of you in here who are pressing in pressing in tell your name I'm pressing in I'm pressing in ah they feel you in here whoever tastes so bad that you can't defect if you've you've been too far too deep in it to even think about getting involved in what's around you ah you've been too much into the word the Lord has brought you too far for you to start negotiating your walk oh I came to bring you good news tonight ain't talking to everybody and I'm not talking everybody take your nap now take your nap now cuz ain't talking everybody River and Brian I just love conjunctions in the Bible I love the and and the but and the yet and the for I love the adverbs the now where for therefore then things love them because they seem to hold the text together after he goes through this whole litany of the kinds of defection and the kinds of practices in the Church of the dust out in the open and seeking to get a gathering and a following sitting in the pew and whispering and getting people to come over on their side and the church is getting shaken out and shaking people are not as firm as a Houston used to be able to stand and rightly divide and ain't nobody dividing and they're not doing it rightly so what are we gonna have in a couple of years from now it's so hot he doesn't cry aloud spare not lift up your voice like a trumpet and tell my people to be holy somebody help me praise him cuz I feel a little excitement coming on you later and then I was getting so discouraged because Jude is so current event he's so in it he's so in it he has moved out of the first century right in the 21st century he's right on CNN he's right on and we see what el he's right he just just gathered all the data and so oh my god come on me say until I got to verse 24 I got the verse 24 something happened to me it says now Brian help me here not because you know and it literally means it's an adversative it's it's in spite of what has gone on before in spite of my concerns about X Y Z is out of the fall in a way and the mess going on the drunkenness folk getting drunk and leading praise first getting drunk and preaching the gospel going to parties and Saturday night and then singing on Sunday morning and then reveling and fro clapping it and then singing it in spite of all of that but say your name of these hope up in here now there's hope the now is a but unto Him who is able my god let me get through this unto Him who is able which means that he has the power and the authority you see you can have power but no authority that the Clapp has a power to kill you but he needs a badge to use the gun Jesus got the power and the authority now unto him who has power and authority he doesn't need a two-thirds vote from Congress he doesn't need anybody to sanction what he says there's nobody that vetoes him he doesn't have to go to a council to decide what he's gonna do he already made a decision before we even got here now to here oh you know that's a wonderful thing because the church's life is not in the hands of Congress and the church's life is that in the hands of the lawmakers I don't care when he laws he put on the book to sanction listen to censor us now unto Him unto Him unto Him I don't care how many backsliding preachers walking away from the Word of God opening their backdoor to sin now unto Him who is able I said he's able well come on here Church he's able i got hope in the house i said he's able you know he has the power to perform the tasks and the authority to do it Luke 436 backs me up and said and they were all amazed and speak among themselves saying what a word is this for with authority and power he commanded the unclean spirits and they came out romans 16 and 25 now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret since the world begun and here is ephesians 3:20 i was trying to hook it up in there now unto him that is able to do exceeding and abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in US we have enough scripture to support the point that he is what Abel I lay Dee's and gentlemen ladies and gentlemen I don't care how many churches closed I don't care how many ministry closed down their doors and said they change their mind and they're not there anymore I have somebody who is able who's got power and authority I don't care how many people defect and backslide God is still in charge oh my god my heart is rejoicing tonight because if you keep looking at the news you'll get depressed if you keep something that the Saints you'll get depressed you can keep looking at the direction of our young people you'll close the door of the church but back up church now I'll to him who is able come on put your hands together and let me hear you praise Him able to do what oh Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus hey able to keep now now that there are couple of words you know when you do your study if you study when you do your study and you look at as one of them old mothers cry right there when you do your study and you look up the word keep in the English it just could mean key to preserve whatever but in this context right up in here right up in here 24 verse it just doesn't mean to preserve it means to isolate so I know that all around you focus inin openly I know all around you the pulpit no longer preaches the gospel I know all around you who folk Akama out the closet sneakily and twisting the Texan coming up with all kinds of explanation to justify their lifestyle but on to him who is able to ISIL I'm not isolating myself I'm not trying to ignore you I'm not trying to put you down but there's a line of demarcation what does the isolation do it keeps back it Ward's off it protects it makes sure that this thought feeling influence will not penetrate it means I'm in the mids but it can't get in me it's around me but you can't persuade me you may not influence with somebody else but you ain't messing with me cuz God has done something divine in my life he has isolated oh my God my God he has preserved me he has preserved me my god he has put some salt in me to keep me to keep me to keep me if he didn't reserve me and preserve me I would be one of those out there but I can look back and see divine intervention when he stepped down and isolated me when he blocked this and blocked that when he shut that door and opened that door when he moved me from here and put me over there I thought he didn't like me ah but he isolated me come on and put your hands together for the Isum and don't tell me he can't do it cuz then you tell me he's not able now he's isolating me preserving me from something now remember the context now there's a great falling away what did it mean by falling the way people that used to talk like they had sense and holiness are they talking foolishness people that used to could quote a scripture now they're coming up with some philosophy some psychology to twist the mess you see what I'm saying ah people that used to stand firm on what God says are now coming up with will you know we're living in a different time and this is a 21st century and you know our young people you can't talk to them the way the old folk used to talk to us and you can't make demands on them the way they make demands on us or you can't do whatever whatever if they can read a whole thick book of Harry Potter why can't they read revelation why the only thing they can do is sing and rock and jump so we have watered everything is watered down everything is one of them because we want people we want people we want a lot of people and we want a lot of people cuz a lot of people mean that we have a certain lifestyle to maintain so we got to adjust to the time can't offend can't offend here say anything from the pulpit when Jesus said I'm the rock of offense then I came to offend I came to offend I came to bring the sword between mother and daughter he I social and say hey I came to mess up ah you don't like me because if one member of the family sold out there will be persecution he that will not leave mother father sister brother is not worthy of me ladies and gentlemen the gospel is offensive it offends sin I'm on a butcher hands together aiiow svorski Korean son it why will there be a percentage of believers that will not compromise now somebody they call the remnant the remnant and Renmin doesn't mean left over it just means special lord have mercy remnant doesn't mean a few just means different why is it that in spite of the increasing influence of the world in the church upon the minds of the people to the point where they don't even come to church on Sunday how you gonna be a saint with a little bit of God at least a little bit of God maybe even if you just have a half an ounce of God because when you have a half an ounce of God even if you're tired you're not feeling good you're something about the thought of coming into the house of the Lord to raise your voices and one to Santa fied to sing the songs of Zion to read the scripture to get a word something you start jumping cuz you get excited about getting together with the Saints ah but today ain't nobody interested in that you're busy they got another light you see of a church light and then you have a street life and then you have a home live scene oh they're kind of lies got a church life they got a street life you got a home life and then you got a back door like you see all them kind of like UNICEF and when you got all them kind of life then you only give God just a little bit and think he ought to take that but there are some of us tell your neighbor there some of us there are some of us who contend for the faith something happened to us at Calvary something got ahold to us radically something messed us up severely and there's no turning back no matter what's happening around us there's a press come on then put your hands together ha be a socialite skip come on and give Him glory I said there's a brass please messenger I'm almost there I'm almost there what is he keeping me from everybody falling away now which is a so-and-so you don't know you mean where's that preacher that used to preach we don't know where's that church that used to be on the car we don't know how come they don't read from the Bible anymore we don't know how come they only show things on the screen and have a half an hour service and send you home we don't know but here we are somebody help me my shoes got stuck cuz it devil this man I don't know why thank you sir thank you falling away and after a while when you hang around people like that it starts affecting you when you start listening to certain things if you don't have something inside of you keeping you all of a sudden you'll find yourself drifting you're hanging around them you're eating with them when you're talking with them and you're talking to you they're saying things to you that will affect your faith you really want to go with God but something is getting attached to your spirit until after a while every Sunday morning you get sick Bible study night you fell asleep and overslept oh I know you're mad at me no but I'm coming in soon can't be the church three times a week that's just too much church when I have another life and it's that out of life that's messing with your true life see that's what you don't know that other life is deadly it's called a libertine life you see when sin increases you need more grace you need grace to get on top of sin ah the more influence the world is pressing in the world is pressing in on the church the world is discrediting the church the world is destroying preachers the world is coming up with the young people there's no time for vacation so if you really have the mind of God you know you've got to step it up step it up a little bit you know you gotta take it a little higher if you used to pray one time a day you got to pray all day long if you only came to church on Sunday we need to be there every morning praying cuz the devil is not on vacation ladies and gentlemen and the church is gone to sleep but they are falling away by unto Him who is able to keep me out of that crowd somebody help me praise Him right now I said he's gonna keep me out of that crowd I'm not being kept because I'm so wonderful I'm not being kept cuz I'm so righteous I'm not being kept cuz ain't got nothing else to do I'm not being kept cuz I lived all my life now it's all I can do it was Church it I know that's what you say with you're a liar I'm not being kept cuz I ain't got no excitement and passion an interest in creativity I'm being cat because he's able but somebody helped me praise him I said he save us beep it a rock in me that I can't get away from come on put your hands together I just want to hear your prints you can run if you want to but there's something that God did to me years ago as a matter of fact before the foundation of the world no other other preachers can can drink gin and preach uncapped others can do porn in the basement but I'm here not because I'm better but he's able Lord have not led a table don't tell me you couldn't help yourself oh the Holy Ghost I wish somebody would help me right here can't if you put your hands together I want to hear you what is he keeping you from Reverend Bernal Brown he's keeping you from stumbling in the English it says falling and the Greek it says stop you know I remember years ago there was a there's a young man in here that won't call his name it was a little bit of boy came to visit my house pastor George and and you remember he just balanced down the stairs like a ball he just stumbled kept on going down till he hit the bottom we got nervous we thought maybe he broke something he was not able to stop the stumbling Bishop Joseph he didn't have the power over his own body to redirect his waves the stumbling took him over some of us would have been taken over but something to break the fall tell somebody he broke the fall you see before I hit rock bottom he intervened or you better put your hands together I want to hear your praise him in this house some of us would have been thoroughly destroyed thoroughly corrupted lost our minds but he's able to keep us from defecting you can be so mad with God and his people that you curse God and even though you come to church you left the faith see that was what's happening they were pulling people away from the faith pulling them away from the foundational truths pulling them away from the apostolate teachings and the world opening them up to worldly carnal teachings telling them it doesn't take all of that and you can do whatever you feel and giving him a field theology instead of a God theology so so so so what what does what Jude is saying now back up I know what you see is frightening I know what you hear great men falling in it ain't over yet great people who wants to stand and now you don't know where they belong but as for you tell your neighbor as for you as for you he's able how come you ain't down there he's able how come you can't be in that circle he's able and then how much you tried a lot kept you out of it he's able you try to hop off and the door that slapped in your face as he's able huh ah they shook your hand and call you Bishop and brother Ella and Doc but they didn't like you cuz he's able you ought to be glad that in life you put your hands together I want to hear your praise and he's able to keep me from falling and the Psalms really talked about this event unfinished the Psalms of Psalm 104 140 enforces keep me O Lord from the hands of the wicked preserve me from the violent men who have purposed to overthrow my goings the proud of hid a seer for me and chords they have spread a net by the wayside they have set gins for me Psalm 141 and 9 keep me from the snares which they have laid for me and the jins' of the workers of iniquity so their traps and snares to cause you to fall tell your name it was a trap it was a trap and you defecting from biblical theology and creating post-modernism which means that what I feel is more important than the word my culture is more important and the word my gender is more important than the word my pain is more important and the word my need supersedes or takes preeminence over what God know what God said I know what God said I can read I can read I can read I've been church all my life but you don't understand what I'm feeling you don't know what I've been through and so now we've got to adjust the word to accommodate your feeling and we allow you to feel but never get delivered Jesus when the vibe if you're laughing you'll do what I tell you you see see you see the secret the secret the secret the secrecy I'm feeling anger towards you Danelle because you offended me and my anger is justified what you did to me was wrong it was low down with low down it was wicked with wicked and my flesh and my friends tell me I shall whip you I should take you outside and Jack you up comes somebody else so you'll be mad all your life or your life in the church and never delivered from anger cuz you didn't do it God's Way and that's what's wrong with the church we are too many opinions and too many suggestions there's no opinion the Word of God stands forever and if I do it I'll be free and whom the Sun sets free he is she is free indeed I ain't changing none to suit you sin is sin in the morning it's sin in the noon day and it's sin ten times at night ah but he is the way the truth and the light his word stands forever heaven shall pass away wrath shall pass away but the word the word the word the word the revealed word the inspired word the breathe out word of God it's not forever that's what's wrong with us we might as well join Congress and change the law that's how we make people feel better but you feel better but you're still angry and you feel justified but you're miserable and you got it out and you found a way to get it out but you still vindictive that ain't no ever us what does the image of falling what does the image of falling look like it's like somebody is like a horse stumbling have you ever seen a horse stumble and what's a stumbling keep us from falling into temptation keep us from ascribing to our feelings and said the word of God keep us to do the will of God instead of doing us this is a do me age thank you this is a age where I won't do me I done gave my life all these years to the church and to my husband to my wife someone do me but you see we never did him you can do your husband the Lord and say do your husband at the peril of your soul he said love him and care for him but you better have your own private relationship with the Lord it didn't say worship your husband it says unto Him it didn't say worship your wife isn't love or put food on the table clothes on the back give her good sex take her out to dinner didn't say worship huh all right I'm coming in coming in coming coming in I thought you would wake up something you all went to sleep why and this is my final point River Brian too many points why is he preserving me isolating me kept me from certain company some of you in your old worried about being lonely not being noted not being recognized you ought to thank God for mercy why why has he painstakingly hidden me you may be out there what you're still here why he didn't let me get hooked up in certain things why when it seemed like it was the popular thing to do I went in the other direction what is wrong with me that I can't go with the flow why I got to be the oddball in
