It's very smart. - (FBE) So, Bhad Bhabie
started her career as a viral sensation,
has since had a number of notable accomplishments
up to this point. - Umm... can we
define accomplishments? (laughs) - (FBE) She's currently signed to
a record deal with Atlantic Records. She has gone certified Gold twice...
- (softly) Wow. - (FBE) ...was nominated
for a Billboard Music award... - No, she was not!
- She made a name for herself, and, you know, she's following through
with new music, new singles. She's giving her fans what they want. - (FBE) ...and is the youngest
female rapper ever on the Billboard Hot 100 charts

I mean, she's putting the work in, so I'm proud of her.
But I just... no. - (FBE) Well, being a teenager herself,
there's a good shot a portion of her fans are around her age.
So, a parent yourself, would you be okay with your kids
listening to her music? - No. Absolutely not. - No. I am stupider.
I am less of a woman for hearing this, and I've been doing a lot of work
to be who I am. (laughs) - No, I would feel uncomfortable.
I don't give them a reason for them to behave that way, you know?
I try my best to give an example, what music I listen to,
what movies I watch. - 100% no. Based on the lyrics
and all that, it's more of a... Like, they're passing it around
and like, "Oh, do you hear this? Do you hear this?"
It's cool, because it's forbidden. - I don't have a problem
with the language or the material. It's more that it's just not good. - My kids know how to differentiate.
I mean, I think they just get a kick out of it, and they're kinda more
with the beats and her voice. - I want them to be empowered,
but I don't want them to be inspired. I want you to grasp on that power
that comes from that girl and how smart she is
in delivering her message. That's what I want my kids to know. - (FBE) So, regardless of your opinion
on her music, what do you think the appeal is for younger people
or those who enjoy her music? - That their parents probably
don't want them to listen to it, and that makes it exciting.
- It's forbidden fruit. It's cool because it's bad.
- She delivers their message. She's their voice.
And the music is phenomenal. - Those kids that are listening to it
want to make sure their parents know that they're listening to it,
because it's a big ol' [bleep] you to your parents
if you're listening to that. - A lot of people,
they don't pay attention to young people until something
like this happens. She lends a voice to kind of those kids that are pissed
at the system. - (FBE) So, finally, Danielle
continues to have success, has already found a sizable audience.

that you hope sticks around for your children's generation?
