Paradigms and Paralysis - Bishop T.D. Jakes

I want to turn our hearts and and our attention to the Word of God so I'm excited about the word that we're going to be sharing this morning I've been praying and talking to the Lord about you about me about us about the world about the situation's we face the complexities of the times were living in the invincibility of our God is able miss merger his victory with our uncertainty and how how should we conduct ourselves I believe that this is going to bless your life there for me it passes in Scripture Acts chapter 3 verse 1 through 10 turned to it quickly because we've got something to do now it says now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour prayer being the ninth hour and a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called beautiful to ask arms of them that entered into the temple who's saying Peter and John about to go into the temple asked at all and Peter fastening his eyes upon him with charm said look on us and he gave heed unto them expecting to receive something of them then Peter said silver and gold have I none but such as I have give IV in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk and he took him by the right hand and immediately and lifted him up he took him by the right hand and lifted him up and immediately his feet and his ankle bones were Seamster he took him by the head wait a minute he took him by the hand and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength boom and he leaping up stood and walked and entered into the temple and it began to walking and leaping and praising God and all the people saw him walking and praising God and they knew that it was he with set forearms at the beautiful gate of the temple and they were filled with Wonder and amazement at death which had happened unto Him can the church say man can you say man again I want to talk to you this morning about paradigms and paralysis paradigms and paralysis spirit of the Living God fall afresh on us as we share the Word of God and let it be revelatory and relevant let it be profound and practical let it be the Oracle of God to the people of God spoken from the man of God I thank you for what you're about to do I believe you I trust you God we salivate in anticipation of what you would speak today in the name of Jesus we pray somebody shall day man you may be seated in the presence of the Lord and your living room on the couch wherever yeah let's talk a little bit I just want to spend them a moment somebody had called me on the phone and I was talking and I told him I said it's hard for me to keep track of days yeah is it Wednesday or Thursday is it Tuesday or Monday because when you're when you're going through certain things and when you're isolated yeah you find yourself where every day starts to look like the day before and if nobody's asking you what day it is every day starts looking saying further for the character in the Bible that I'm going to talk about he also had that experience of monotony where every day remained the same understanding the complexities of the situation is important but before we focus in on the character let's widen back the lens and look at the breadth of the text Jesus has been crucified now if Jesus were crucified in Jerusalem in today's world it would not have made national news Jesus name had not been noised abroad to the degree that he would have global impact he would not have been on CNN and Fox it might have made the six o'clock local news maybe but it would not have been national news you must realize that Jesus died and the impact of his death only hit a particular demographic now in the wake of his death we are now realizing that the world has gone back to business as usual the religious institutions have gone back into the synagogues and back into the temple the merchants have continued to open up their stores and carry on their affairs and life continues and there is an uprising almost cultish group of people that haven't even been called Christian shed they called them believers and and they called it the way it hadn't even it hadn't even gotten enough footing up under itself to have a name it wasn't even a real threat in the absence of Jesus it was just about twelve people running around talking about Jesus trying to sell this religious ideology of people who had history that was rooted all the way back to Abraham and here comes these upstarts with a theology that that in no way could threat the the complexities of Judaism and Orthodox tradition seeing as it's rooted in thousands of biblical history ancestry all throughout the Old Testament and here they're coming up with this this thing they called new New Testament theology and it's it's controversial and it's only a few people teaching it and it's not really a threat but there is there is this indecisive complex time going on Jesus has been crucified the church has not even fully been identified the synagogue has gone back to his traditional theology the Romans still control the Jews so there's political ramifications and theological ramifications say no matter how much they pray in the synagogue they're still controlled by a Roman that doesn't even believe in their God so you got a polytheistic society ruling and reigning over a monotheistic society and and and the impact is tremendous it's all most like they're back in Egypt again yet they are allowed to have religious expression and so they go back and forth and in and out of the synagogue doing what they do but real thinking people are wrestling with the complexities of how long will Israel be up under the control of the Roman Empire how long will Caesar dictate our worship and our service and where we can go it what time we can go to bed how long will Herod come and collect finances in the temple and take away from that which belongs to God how long how long will our prophets be stoned to death how long will our people be killed how long will they be crucified big people were thinking big thoughts okay because big people think big thoughts that's not to say that people who are not exposed to big decisions are not important it's just that they're preoccupied with the little problems of their everyday life we look at this text today we look at this text understanding that this particular young man has has been lain with paralysis all of his life yeah from his mother's womb he he doesn't know what it is to walk he doesn't know what it is to ride a bicycle he doesn't know what it is to run and play with other kids or go swimming in the brook he doesn't know what any of that is like all of his life he's been in a state of paralysis it's and when I lifted his paralysis I looked at our world it was like without any kind of warning at all it was almost as if God told everybody to go to their room and over a third of the population went into total paralysis shut up in the house and completely shut down imagine with me if you will I never thought in my life that I would see a time that Time Square would be closed that there would not be the ringing of the bells of the casinos in Vegas the Broadway was shut down and Hollywood will collapse at every Beach would be empty everything was shut down in a state of paralysis and like any paralysis the longer you are paralyzed the more territory it takes so what started out as a medical problem evolved into a sociological problem evolved into an economic problem evolved into a political problem and the whole world was in crisis if he had a way to get out there was nowhere to go if you bought a plane ticket there was there was no place on the planet you could go to escape the problem and so everybody stuck and shut down there there there much like a third of the eight billion people on the planet are in their house and they are much like the ankles of this man they didn't work they didn't work there was no place to work they couldn't go to work they couldn't move anywhere they couldn't do anything and even though 2/3 were still mobile the 1/3 was shut down and the world was lame in both its feet and anytime something doesn't work long enough you you develop a system of survival it doesn't matter what it is it doesn't working if you and your daughter don't get along well you learn how to cope with that for you you might be moaning you might be upset about it but eventually if people hurt you're bad enough for long enough you learn how to cope with that you you learn how to as my grandmother would say feed them with a long-handled spoon is if your marriage doesn't work you learn how to cope with that if you if your car doesn't work you learn how to cope with that their little ways when I had a raggedy car that I knew I had to get out there and if I took the screwdriver and put it up against the alternator and the battery it was sparking I could kick the ignition it was it was normal for me because my car had been broke so long that I always carried a long handle screwdriver so I could get it going if I needed to get it going other people who run with it would be shot and say oh what's wrong with the car don't worry about it hand me the screwdriver you learn how to cope with stuff that doesn't work this man is lame and both his feet but he has developed a system of sustenance let me tell you all of you out there who don't have a system of sustenance you're fooling yourself you can't stay at your mama's house forever you can't stay with Grandma forever sooner or later you got to stand up and come up with a system that's the station even if it's not what you dreamed of sometimes you got to do what you got to do this is not what the man dreamed of being but necessity is the mother of invention and he had learned that there were a couple of people that would carry him everyday pick him up out of his bed and carry him and lay him at the gate at the gate called beautiful his problem was his ankles okay but if he wallow in your problems you'll never see a shift in your situation so he had to find a place where he could find a way a way of coping with the problems that would not go away and so they laid him daily at the gate called me for not once a week daily every day every day whether it was Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday or Friday every day look the same they laid him there I want to talk to somebody who's whose days all look the same and in any wake up in the morning and it no matter what you put on and it doesn't matter what you do you got the same thing to deal with you got the same problem you got to put up with the same lying people you got to deal with the same kids in their situated the same circumstance live in the same community with the same neighbor next door deal with the same frustration deal with the same economic consequences the same Monday same Tuesday saying Wednesday same Thursday same this is just another day it could have been any day they told us what time it was and didn't tell us what they'd were they tell us it's the ninth hour of prayer but they don't tell us what day of the week it was they told us what time of what what difference does it make what day when every day is the same they don't tell us what the man's name is they don't tell us what the day is they just happen to mention what time it was now to all of you who are trying to figure out next steps because you have been paralyzed by a pandemic terrorized by fear ostracized from other groups of people who have different opinions you find yourself with your back up against the wall and you're trying to figure your way out when you walk by faith you don't always have the benefit of having a strategy to get out sometimes things just happen what I want you to understand is when God orders a change in your life he doesn't always announced that the change is going to come when I want you to understand he said when God gets ready to take over he takes over just awake Oviatt took over he did he didn't announce itself it didn't give us a 90-day warning with boom everything shut down didn't matter what your opinion was about it the color of your skin is just shutting down this man is going about his routine is his cycle it it is an ordinary routine for a paralytic man he is neither Wheaton or strong to be admired nor resented he is doing what paralytic people do people do what people do there's nothing really exceptional about it everybody thinks they're exceptional but the reality is if you boil it all down people struggle with what people struggle with people do people things I don't care what planet what country what culture what language people do people things and this man was doing what any other parent lynnie person would do who was trying to get something to eat he be that was his job description when he woke up in the morning and brushed his teeth and combed his hair he knew he was going to be what are you gonna do today I know what I'm gonna do the damn and do what I did yesterday I'm gonna do did the day before I'm going to be what I want you to understand he said this man did not wake up this morning and brush his hair and brush his teeth and comb his hair and say I've got a meeting with destiny Peter and John are coming and everything in my life is going to shift now he didn't wake up with excitement and anticipation of a revolution or a paradigm that would forever change the rest of his life he woke up paralyzed he woke up stiff he woke up normal he drugged himself over to the side of the bed where they could lift him hand me my cup so I can be and he went out there and they set him at the gate at the gate called beautiful I want to talk to you about the game because the gate the gate called beautiful you got an ugly situation in a beautiful place here we have this this mod broken frog impotent and complete paralyzed individual stuck and a game called beautiful what a strange place for an ugly problem to exist I want to talk to people who have ugly problems in beautiful places on the outside it's beautiful but on the inside is paralyzed oh the outside we take great pictures on the inside we're not speaking on the outside we're prosperous on the inside they're about to repossess everything on the outside oh my god the gate and the man what an amazing oxymoron a beautiful gate and a broken man and they laid him daily and a beautiful gate perhaps it was to accessorize the agony of being paralyzed because we all have our ways of of glamourizing our agony we all have our ways of fixing up their surroundings to accommodate for the pain of the reality an exercising our pain it's like a holly gets drunk cuz life looks better when I'm drunk it's why the drug here gets high because life gets better if you let me get a couple of cokes first I'll be okay oh I'm talking to somebody tell the man is laid daily at the gate car but the problem with the gate is as beautiful as it is it is leader here nor there if you're at a gate you're at a nebulous in the script place you're not in or out you're not with it you're not without it now there were people who didn't even believe in God who were down at the marketplace and there were people in the bakery buying bread and there were people in the synagogue having church he wasn't with the world he wasn't with the church he was stuck at the gate I want to talk to somebody who feels stuck at the gate a gate doesn't have an address a gate doesn't have a mailbox a gate doesn't receive bills again as a nebulous place because it is neither here nor there it is the gate it's neither hot nor cold is neither black nor white is neither rich nor poor it's a nebulous almost fixing to could have would have should have Oh God how do you have about the gates well you could see what was possible but you couldn't get to it well you could turn your head and go backwards but you couldn't go back he couldn't go back which he couldn't go far out he was paralyzed in a nebulous place a place of uncertainty now I want to deal with the feeling of uncertainty he he is laid a lay at the gate he comes to the gate they set him down at the gate and he sits he sits from the gate where our young well not in the temple and I'm not in the town I'm at the gate I'm not out of trouble but I haven't gone under I'm at the gate I'm not homeless but I'm not at peace in my house cuz I'm three months behind on the pavement I'm at the gate I can't enjoy being in cuz I'm too close to out and I can't I can't make it to see I'm not eligible for the program cuz cuz I've made too much money but I can't get up on my feet cuz I don't make enough I meant the gate I want to talk to some people go ahead the gate and you've been sitting there so long at the gate that you've learned how to survive in an atmosphere of total uncertainty you see the time we're living in now it is not the isolation that is the most damaged and as horrific as it is it's not the coffee at 19 that is disturbing the biggest part of the populace what is really really getting to us is the uncertainty is it over when will it be over how long will it take for it to be over just give me a date so I can pass cuz I don't do well in atmospheres of uncertainty I can't tell the kids where we're going for the summer I can't make plans for what we're going to do next year we're thinking about buying a house but I'm not certain baby it's a good time maybe it's not a good time that the interest rates are low but the cash flow is questionable I got a job but I don't know how long I got income but I don't know how long I got a stable but I don't know how long that is a paid all myself forget the ankles must deal with the pain of uncertainty the pain I'm not sure the pain of not being able to have a plan the pain of not being able to tell your kids what we're gonna do the pain of looking at your wife and having no answers well are we going and on I definitely did decide not certain if the pain I'm meeting with the staff and having no strategy because control is out of my hands I don't like it control is out of my I can't rush it I can't do nothing about it all I can do all I can do all I can do all I can do all I can do all I can do all I can do all we can do is sit down at the gates setting in a place of uncertainty Sadie in a place of insecurity sitting in a place of vulnerability city with no answers city with more questions city with fear and faith and worry and belief all fighting in the same person at the same time one moment I'm ready to quote scriptures one moment I'm ready to swear I don't know what's waters good work for me cuz I'm I'm I'm trying to you girl don't judge me right now cuz I'm not at my best don't come here with no foolishness cuz you might get somebody you're not ready for cuz this uncertainty I go to bed with it every night I get up with it every morning it's it is the paralysis of this era this generation this time and he stuck in a place then it's nebulous in the scripts indefinable no address no definites no absolutes am I gonna make anything today I don't know is anybody gonna give me something I'm not sure I'm just sitting here shaking my cup in case some happens but I can't make nothing happen and I'm just shaking it sometimes I'm shaking it and no nobody even here its shape I don't know if I won't hit anything today I can't plan anything for the weekend cuz I can't tell if I'm gonna have enough money to buy bread for the weekend but I'm just standing here just just waiting and I don't even know what I'm waiting on cuz I don't even know who's coming to the temple today and I don't even know if they're gonna walk past me because most people walk past people they can't relate to it's why you get uncomfortable when you when you when you when you come up to somebody standing out on the street that's homeless most people won't look you in I even though they know you're a person like them they don't want to look you now because they don't want to feel responsible and they don't want to wrestle with themselves and they don't want to deal with it and so they purposely set their face like flint not to look at you most people would walk past this man and not look at him not look at his lameness they don't want to feel guilty about something they had no responsibility and not look at his cup because he's gonna be back tomorrow I don't mind giving him to your Monday but then that's Tuesday and well I don't mind helping you with this month's rent but what about next month's rent when somebody has made a lifestyle on a baguette he digitally when you see the name on the ID on the phone you let it ring you already know what they want come on be honest with me you already know what they want and you try to act like tell the kids tell them I'm not home that was don't you think that people that you don't look at when you drive past feel the pain of the lack of your attention that they are in pain and invisible my god invisible in my agony my marriage is a mess and I'm invisible and I'm stuck you see what I want you to see is that this man is as stuck as his ankles are his ankles are paralyzed but so is he the ankles are just an infimum of the paralysis that has taken over his life he has grown old with his ankles but because his ankles were paralyzed paralyzed his life it paralyzed his education and paralyzed his future it paralyzed his sex life it paralyzed his relationships it paralyzed his marketability and it paralyzed his humanity when people don't look at you they don't acknowledge that you're human this whole story is full of paralysis and then there's a paralytic Church on the inside called the temple whose theology is paralyzed they're worshipping God for where he used to be I feel like preaching this morning there wants to be God for where he used to be their theology is paralyzed they need an update they need a download to everything about them is paralyzed they're still worshipping God coming into a temple where there is no glory there is no Ark of the Covenant there there is no presence there the glory has departed and they're still functioning as if it was working but it wasn't working there was no way it could work because there was no Ark of the Covenant there was no sir kind of glory but everybody's acting like everything's normal and the truth of the matter is the people on the inside are just as paralyzed as the man at the gate so if you don't talk about paralysis don't stop at my feet my life is paralyzed my love life is paralyzed my sex life is paralyzed my occupation is paralyzed and whether they know it or not all of those people who walk past me are just just paralyzed as I they're paralyzed because they didn't move toward Jesus they're paralyzed because they ignored the gospel they're paralyzed because they fail to recognize that the one they were waiting on was right there amongst him they're paralyzed because they asked a question and crucified the answer they're paralyzed because they had a need and crucified the supplier they're paralyzed because they wanted God to speak and when God spoke they rejected what he said yeah I just as you messed up a single so I'm a paralyzed man in a paralyzed place in front of a paralyzed temple and I'm not expecting anything to happen I want to talk about the dangers of low expectations the dangers see it occurs to me that the real paralysis is not just the ankles and not just a place and not just a temple and not just a man and not just a sex life the real paralysis is in his mind the real paralysis is the fact that he doesn't expect much the real paralysis is that he has lowered his expectation down to a cup arms arms shaking a cup he is lowered his expectation somebody watching me right now your problem is you don't expect much you've lowered your expectation down to a cup you're talking about a God who feels the seven seas you're talking about a God who hollowed out the mountains you're talking about a God who spat the stars into the sky and there you are with your little cop you don't want much you're serving else to die and you don't want much and you have the nerve to be self-righteous about your cup and critical of people who got more and thought more and did more and built more because their success shines a light on your cup and so it's easier to make my gallon wrong than to admit the deficit of your cup and every day he said there with the cup but the point I want you to see he said when he got up that morning he wasn't expecting to see Peter and John and when Peter and John got up he got ready to go to church at the ninth hour prayer they were saying before we go in the service we're gonna hear a lame man so neither the leader the disciples nor the disabled knew that they were on the verge of a paradigm shift it wasn't pre-planned it wasn't prescribed it wasn't pre-ordered it wasn't anticipated it wasn't on the itinerary it wasn't on the structure it went like Peter was saying to John when we get up here we got some work to do before we go in the server now they would just stroll in alone going up to the temple see when God has passed he didn't always sit notifications my phone gives me the options of accepting notifications and a notification will warn me and what is about to happen next it update me on my schedule but God that always send notifications he didn't tell Peter and John that he was going to use him and by the way Peter and John are the odd couple why in the world does Peter and John have to do with each other they couldn't be more different Loudmouth Peter water walking Peter cussing Peter [ __ ] driving Peter Peter who was always ready to fight Peter who would cut an ear off is hanging out with John who was loving and timid and passive and laying his head on Jesus breast and peter and john hirsh @id whoa Peter and John came up together this is a season that God is going to give you our alliances ed Cobo sure you are coming into a season that God is gonna make connections with people where you have nothing in common with but God is gonna yoke you together he's not gonna put a Peter with a Peter he's gonna put a Peter with a John you're gonna complement them you're gonna be totally different but God is going to make a connection God has brought them together as hard as they are as different as they are as strange as they are God has brought them together and God said to me in this season the way you're gonna break the paralysis this over your life is going to come through unlikely partnerships write that down unlikely partnerships strategic alliances with people that are totally different from you God said I'm gonna break the thing this hell you're back but I'm gonna break it in a way that's out of your orbit out of your normal out of your sphere out of the realm of how you like to do things I'm gonna put a John with a Peter and a Peter with the jar and I'm not gonna tell you what I'm gonna do with you but you're gonna be taking a walk and you're gonna stumble into your destiny you're gonna stumble into your purpose you're gonna stumble into what our gain for you it's not in your strategy it's not in your calendar but it's surely going to happen Peter and John were walking together just shoot the breeze not knowing that the lame man was gonna be up there asking for alms and the lame man was sitting at the gate not knowing that Peter and John were coming just because you don't feel it doesn't mean it's not coming oh we were in church I'd have you touch your neighbor and tell them just because you don't feel it doesn't mean it's not coming just because your moods don't verify just because your emotions don't show it just because you're proper didn't validate it that mean is not kind of God doesn't have to warn you before he ships you God don't have to tell you before he changes it God doesn't have to give you a warning and I came to preach this morning to tell you to Peter and John are coming Peter and John are coming Peter and John are coming Peter and John are coming to you they're coming into your situation they're coming into your circumstance they're coming into your paralysis they're coming into your pain they're coming into your problem they're coming into your frustration they're coming into your aggravation God has already got somebody handing up the wrong get ready get ready get ready get ready get ready God he's getting ready to shift face so the Bible said can I preach this thing the Bible said that when Peter and John got to the temple behold there was a lame man who was laying at the gate who was lame from his mother's womb and he looked at them and asked alms of them and Peter and John said look on us and the Bible said he expected to receive something something no expectations some of you have let yourself go for something you given away your body for something you've given your time just to get something you've traded your self-respect just to have something you've traded the privacy of your house just to have company you've exposed your children in danger just to have something you're a beggar with a cup and you're expected to receive something you don't realize how much God has to give you you don't realize how much God wants to invest in you you don't realize what God has ordered for your life and when you don't know what God has for you your saddle for something when you could have had everything and even looked on them expected to receive something desperation will make you settle for something I want to be loved but I'll take being used I want to be refracted but I'll settle for some attention just give me something give me something this is a season that people have just won something because they've been stuck so long they just want something if I can't get out I'm gonna jump on who's in the house I'm frustrated something beat my own wife beat my kids you got women beating men man beating women parents beating kids kids beating grandparents expecting the receipt something ripping off stores rather than their life I just gotta have something I risk the infection to have company in my bedroom just give me something the the use of opioids is skyrocketing because the in the medicine cabinet expecting to receive something delicious stores are having order additional supply cuz we can't sell it out as fast as you put it in the store because if I can't get out I'm gonna drink something I'm gonna drink something I'm gonna take something I'm gonna shoot something I've got to do something I gotta do something because I scat whatever people get stalked they just want something growing all alone give me something Oh getting quiet now cuz I want to get down to that begging you not that beautiful for you uh-huh I'm past the gate baby I'm not talking about the beautiful gate I'm talking about the begging truth Wow I'm talking about the big in reality I'm talking about what all of us will do if we are paralyzed long enough we become a threat to the world around us if we stay locked down long enough that's why your mama gets mad when you bring the wrong boy home that's why daddy gets upset when you bring the wrong girl home because we're trying to feel we're trying to figure out how did you fall in love with somebody in paralysis and experience has taught us that if they're paralyzed long enough they gonna start begging for something who wants the house about it this stuff if you can trace you how you go raising me just beggin for something do you think God created you too big to meet other men like you there no more than you and you're asking them for something and incidentally the man that you're begging have no more than you Peter John said we don't have no money you're asking us for something and we just as broke as you see the church needs to be honest we got the same issue [Laughter] we don't even you don't have the money we don't either we're always trying to impress people with how much we got but the real miracle happens when you're honest enough to say I'm broke too so we got one man asking to broke me in for something that they do not have all three of them are broke everybody is broke in this story the temple is broke without Jesus Peter and John are broke without capital the beggar is broke without money the body is broke in the story except Jesus [Music] my God has everything he owns the cattle on a Thousand Hills if I were hungry I wouldn't tell you he should supply all of my needs not according to my goodness but according to his riches and glory God has to ask Oviatt 19 can he bless me God does not pass the governor the mayor of the president can he bless me God didn't have to meet with the committee and get the committee to vote before he blessed me if God gets ready to bless me it's gonna be a shift tell your baby it's gonna be a shift it's gonna be a shift it's gonna be a shift a paradigm is a shift it's not a step it's not a graduation it is a kind of incident that shifts how you see everything I'm paradigm shift changes the culture the nature of the organization a paradigm shift changes how you perceive everything thereafter a paradigm shift changes all future policies a paradigm shift changes all future standards a paradigm shift it's not just a little step it's not an alteration it's not a little movement a paradigm shift will change the trajectory of your destiny this man was standing on the precipice of a paradigm shift that would change the rest of his life he's never walked he's never stood he's never function like a normal man he's never he's never he's never he's never he's never he's never he's never and here comes Peter and John with a paradigm shift at the hour of prayer and they said silver and go have none but such as I have give I unto thee in the name see Jesus got it in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk is I'll give you some spiritual it's gonna be better than something natural but if you get this spiritual it's gonna change your natural if you'll eat this it's gonna change that if you receive this it's go all to the AH I feel like I'm talking to somebody who am I talking to somebody take 30 seconds that give God a praise [Music] laughs yes yes I died you to praise it's a shift it's a paradigm shift it's a paradigm I want to talk to people who are on the verge of a major paradigm shift in your life and you know it and it's at a weird time in the middle of a global pandemic and everything is in an uproar and God is talking to you about making a shift and you saying Lord this is the worst time in the world to make this shift this message is a witness to what God has already spoken in your life but look at your clock it's the ninth hour glory to God things are about to shift God said I'm gonna shift it now what's this the paralysis has been there longer than the presence of God so paradigm shifts though desired become difficult when the paralysis is more normal than the shift this is one of the hardest miracles in the Bible you got two disciples not one to stent one disciple has raised the dead by himself you got to gang in this devil walking up and down prayer saying silver and gold have our number such as I have give I unto thee they spoke the right word they prayed the right pair in the name of Jesus Christ never rather and walk the name of Jesus is so powerful that the disciples were beaten for preaching in his name they were forbidden to go into certain cities with it named because every time they said the name of Jesus our yoke broke scales fell off eyes lay men start walking glide me and started seeing dead men gotta pop the gray and they beat them and said just don't say his name and the username but the man didn't get up I'd like to say got up this is the place where I'm supposed to close the message and say but he didn't get up they said the right name they were in agreement the Bible said if any two of you agree as touching anything on earth it shall be done they had the power of agreement they had the power of his name they had the right problem they had the right patient they were in the right place and they use all of them together and the man still didn't get up what do you do when you got all the right things and it looks like it didn't work what did you do when you prayed all the right prayers and it looked like it didn't work we got to in agreement there in one place with one Accord they used the power of Jesus Mary they said in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk I thought the story was over then it should have been over but he was still laying there and then Peter reached down and took him by the hand when he took him by the hand I said wait and people you don't understand anything wrong with his hand why did you grab what was working when you was praying about what wasn't working why didn't you lay hands on his ankles ha ha why did you touch his problem she's the reason you can't get up is that you keep laying hands on your problem and not your power as long as you lay hands on your problem and not your power you'll never get up as long as you keep thinking about what's wrong rather what's right you'll never get up Peter didn't grab him by the ankle he grabbed it by the hand because the hand was working when the ankle was broke God said he's gonna use what's working against what's broke Who am I preaching to today God said you've been praying about what's broken but God's gonna use what's working until you get your mind off of what's broken and start thinking about what's working you'll never survive the pandemic you'll never survive the paralysis you'll never survive the problem because your mind is on your ankles but your miracle is in your hand yes Peter reached out my god Peter reach down thank you Lord for reaching down when I was in a mess you always had to reach down when I couldn't reach up you reach down Peter reach down and took him by the hand and the Bible says the moment he took him by the hand the moment the moment the moment the moment you start touching your ankles the moment he took him by the hand listen to me God told me to tell you stop telling him what's not working he's not gonna use what's not working he's gonna use what is working the miracle is in your hand greater is he that is in your hand then that which is in your ankle and the Bible said immediately he took him by the hand and immediately his ankles received strength this is a prophetic word this is a prophetic word God is not going to touch what's broken he's going to touch what's blessed good god of mercy and the reason you've been in the same spot so long is that your mind keeps drifting to your ankles and your mind is on your ankles when God is trying to get you to stretch forth your hand the power is in your hand it's not in your ankles it's not in rehearsing what's wrong it's not in reminding yourself of who left you who hurt you who deserted you who fired you who forsook you God said it's in your hand he took him by the hand and immediately his ankles received strength look at how much it took for this man to accept a paradigm shift the paralysis was on more than his ankles it was on his mind it was on his expectations it was on his feet it was on his life it was in the sociological cycle that he had created to sustain him all of that would be compromised by getting better you didn't hear that all that he had spent his whole life building would be compromised by getting better the question becomes could he afford to get well see some folk has made a living being broke they built an ecosystem around dysfunction they don't know how to exist outside of dysfunction they don't know how to exist with love or peace or tranquility they don't know how to exist so they create fights because they're familiar they won't stop till they tear down a relationship because rejection is their familiar look at how hard it was to deliver him from the paralysis not not the one on his ankles no not that that was no problem Jesus is already proven that he could handle the ankles the paralysis of his mind was the hardest thing to break the paralysis of breaking him away from the familiar if you healed me I got a walk [Music] if you hear me I gotta walk and I have never walked before if you heal me I have to socialize and I have never had to socialize before if you heal me I gotta face crowds that I never had the crazy one for face before and I have never had to face crowds away Oh God can I afford to get better do I have the courage to get better if I get better I gotta pay my own bills if I get better I gotta make car payments if I get better I have to make you pay insurance if I get better I gotta go to bed at night if I get better I gotta get up in the morning I get better people don't expect some money can I start to get better the time my my my I'm used to my paralysis I'm used to my problem I'm used to my pain I'm used to it I'm used to it I'm used to it and now you come with this paradigm shift that will destroy it life as I know it you think you won't preach a message and make me get up no he said in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk that man set right there I can't if I get up it's gonna mess up everything I gotta be responsible for my walk back home I gotta get a job I gotta get a place to stay I gotta get up on my feet some folk don't walk better some folk know what better if you give them better there Tara better up every time they'll destroy better every time because they are familiar with paralysis and banner has responsibility and responsibility is scary when you have been lame from your mother's womb all you ever saw was broken and when all you ever saw was broken well is scary well is scary are you scared to get up are you scared to get better I understand I know what it is I've been frightened too I know what it is to have better front right in front of me and be so scared I couldn't even sleep I'm not judging you better it's scary do I have enough can I walk shall I walk must I walk how do I walk he took him by the hand God wanted you to know something in your life is working stop talking to him about what's not working something in your life is working he wants you to focus on what's working and not what's broken he is going to move in what is working in your life your miracle is going to come to what is working not to what is broken the enemy is trying to distract you from what works showing you what is broken because he wants you to stay in the paralysis of your circumstance and your situation and God is assuring a change in your life and it can be a play change it can't be a fake change it takes me a church say it gotta be a real change that's gonna fix everything a paradigm affects everything in your life that's why I called it paralysis and paradise because because both of them are in the text the paralysis and the paradigm in one moment his pinkles received strength do you know how unlikely it is for your ankles to receive strength in a moment do you know how surgery couldn't do that to cause your ankles to if you had surgery you'd have to go through rehab this man has never walked good you think the biggest part of the miracle is that his ankles from sea strength no the biggest part is that he stood up and started walking even if his ankles got better they have never made those movements before those muscles have never worked with those nerve endings and those joints in concert to produce movement that requires therapy the man not only got a miracle he required no therapy there there is a recovery that is so so spontaneous and so powerful that it requires no therapy at all he's good he leaped he praise and he went in to the next dimension as I close this message today I want you to know he's been struck a long time you've been paralyzed a long time but God is going to bring you into the next dimension God is gonna bring you into the next dimension you're going into the next dimension you have stood outside of it you have looked at it often you've looked at it like a kid looking through glass in a candy store you've admired it you've thought about it but you were stuck at the gate but in spite of the pandemic and spite of the paralysis that that you viewed from afar off you're about to walk into and God said you're gonna leap into it you're not just gonna walk you're gonna leap into it and when you get in there you're gonna praise God in there cuz you're gonna know that if it had not been for the Lord that was on your side you never would have got there do you hear what I'm saying to you you've been close to it every day but you never went into it you've been in a cycle that kept brought you lere lere lere you've been at the gate of it a long time but God is getting ready to move here away from that gate and he's gonna bring you into the temple and the Bible said the doors burst open and the man came in walking and leap and praising God walking and leaping and praising God walking and leaping and praising God walking and leaping and praising God walking and leaping and praising God walking and leaping and praise him and God and all of them standing around were astonished number one they were astonished because he was praising God for something they take for granted he was praising God see everybody else in there could already walk and leap so that was normal to them and they had taken it for granted but this man had been locked out of it so long that once God opened it up for him he was praising God for what was ordinary to other people let me tell you something when the shift is over the have-nots are gonna have and the difference between the have-nots heaven and those that have happened is that when you've always had it you don't appreciate it but when you've always been locked out and God finally opens up the door for you to get here you don't just walk and leap you also praise God because you remember how loud you were stuck outside the gate I declare to you today i prophesy to you today I promise you today you will not die at this gate you will not die at this game you will not die in this vicious cycle of sustenance that you have built for your survival in the midst of your crippling conditions you will not die at this gate i prophesy to you that you need to partner with better people you need to partner with people who are stronger you week you need to get around a better greater people cuz beggars came to help beggars laying people can't help laying people you need to make the kind of associations that are not codependent those people who have been carrying you have been in a Boleyn your dysfunction they look like your friends but they're not they're helping you to be crippled get away from people who are helping you to be crippled and get around somebody who demands something of you I know you think that your friends cuz they carried you every day and laid you at the gate but they're not your friends and you're enablers all the people who are enabling you to stay down get away from them get around people who challenge you who yank on you who pull on you hear me good Oh God hear me good hear me good God gave me this for somebody I know he did I know he did the Holy Spirit told me to tell you you've been there so long you wonder if you'll ever get up God said wait for the yank there's gonna come a yank in your spirit there's gonna come a yank in your belly and when you feel the tug don't resist it when you feel the tug don't worry about your ankles when you feel the tug drop your cup when you feel the tug come out of your circumstances because if you will respond to the tongue of the Holy Spirit God will deal with your ankles while you're standing up we don't know what part of the journey healing but as he was standing up his ankles received strength and God said he's getting ready to tug and you will go from paralysis to a paradigm shift and you'll never be seen at the gate again and you'll never need your cup again and you'll never hurt again and you'll never beg again and you'll never look to weak people to just give you something because you think so little of yourself that in any cast away from them it's better than where you are God is getting ready to heal you on the inside in your deep place drop them pills stop getting drunk every night you're getting ready to leave everything in your life is getting ready to [ __ ] I know it's all crazy I know the virus is crazy people are crazy the times are crazy people I can create I'll get all of that don't worry about none of that a shift is coming are you ready for it I want to pray for people who who heard God speak to them in this moment I want to pray for people who know what it is to be scared to get up and walk I want to pray for people who've been stuck and sometimes you stayed too long in the same place I want to pray for people who are scared of what you've never done intimidated I want to pray for people who are at the wit's end I want to pray for people who've been paralyzed emotionally emotionally paralyzed you can feel nothing spiritually paralyzed you can go to church but you still not in the church I got a more people tuned in log in and watch it you tuned in because you're scared but you have made no real commitment to Christ you want to pass the fire you don't want no milk a pacifier is designed to fool a baby it gives them the feel of suck it in and they ain't getting no milk you turned me on to be a pacifier but God wants to give you the sincere milk of the word it's sitting here watching me right now it's something about that message spoke all the way down to your ankles I'm telling you there it's going to be a paradigm shift but you gonna have to be responsible enough to throw down your crutches and get rid of your crutch like friends and stand up on your feet and start walking and leaping and praising the Lord God is shaking up your life because he wants change he wants change real change this is not about you needing God this is about God calling you and he shook the whole world Jonah to get your attention shook up your money shook up your job shook up your future shook up your family God wants your attention so here we are me and you just me and you connected through a stream our sister says Christianity is one beggar telling another beggar where he found the bread ain't no better than you I'm a beggar too I'm just trying to tell you where I found the bread oh it's Jesus he's the answer can I pray with you today I know you're scared scared to stay and scared to walk I get it I've had the feeling I know it well I want to pray for you father in the name of Jesus let the power of the Holy Spirit just reach through the screens all of them the big ones the little ones who wants long distance the ones in other countries ones in other areas wherever wherever you find faith just touch right now in the name of Jesus and I pray God as I grab them by the hand in this prayer I pray that the angels will receive strength and people who never stood up stand up and people who never confess Christ would confess Christ as Lord right now and people who never took God seriously would take him seriously right now in people who never served him would serve him right now I pray right now that this would be the message then came them the yank the pull the pull the pull to rise up my beloved and come away that they would never be the same again now washing him in the blood cleanse him from their sins set them free set him on a new path get him ready for new doors and new places and new crowds and give him the courage to walk in the door then they could only look at before they're going in the temple they're going into a place there's only been a gaze in the distance father I think you're right now for nursing us through the paradigm shift everything is changing its changing for churches it's changing for businesses it's changing for politicians it's changing for families everything is changing in the world and changing is unsettling but I know when you get finished with us we're gonna be better than we were before we started and we trust you and we praise you and we honor you in Jesus name Amen somebody glorify God right now [Music] [Applause]
