Panic! The shocking truth about full-time RV living!

good morning we just got a bit of a jolt it's nothing big but uh we thought we would take you guys along with us um we as you know stay about an hour south of Memphis when we work 3 days a week and we were supposed to be here until Sunday and we had only booked it till Wednesday but we normally just add days we got on today to add the days and somebody's coming into the spot for 2 weeks so we have to do a quick move just about four spots down but we thought we would take you guys along with us and show you what it's like to just kind of pack up real quick and move four spots down so come along when we wake hear the birds and see the Sun s side our face are done oh the good times just begun oh we know what we have let's Hold On Tight found what we're looking for in life call us crazy but things are finally right with you and I the future is bright oh oh you and I we got it oh we don't need no [Music] more even in the hard times you where any Star you I where any [Music] Star the first thing we got to do is let these doggies out so they can go potty cuz they're theyy to go outside and go [Music] body they already [Music] know hey come on let's get outside come on what's up mon buy Mr buy you know what today is you know what today is buddy you know what today is Big Buddy huh tell what today is you telling today's moving day oh man it's moving day B Be you ready to move it's moving day moving day you can walk to the new spot love it it's time to move just 3 days 3 days and then it's real moving day so do you think we need to put the mats under everything or spots down anything necessary so there's not much we really need to do uh we take those jws down off there um and the things off the top of the shelves but other than that let's just clean it up put the slide out in good so when we move we just put the jars behind this C [Music] here what we doing oh at the moment or today today we're moving four spots h four four four spots yeah which is okay I mean it just changes things up a little bit it's not really that big of a deal so we truly don't have to pack everything up uh the way that we normally would if we were really going on a trip uh these you know pots and pans will stay there these dishes will probably stay up there um the shells already showed you the idea of like uh jars that we have on shelves that they have to come down but you know nothing that really nothing really major we are going to put this slide out in that's that's going to happen it's a tiny slide out um done with this major button it's over here um slide out actually this is a slide in making our fa coffee yeah we're making coffee while we're putting a slide out in it's perfect well I think everything's done in here that we're going to do quick move so let's go out and see what Patrick is doing dog stuff dog stuff that's what I'm getting ready to do too different kind of dog stuff all right there sh shell she's going outside doing the duties these are the responsibilities of being pet owners in campgrounds this is what we do that scooper does help things out man there's period to time that was done by hand in plastic bags our friend John Paul the camp post here decided to cut the grass over where we're about to move zoom in and see if you can see him that was nice of him that's so awesome it makes our job so much easier with the doggies you know picking up after him doggies are super excited they're not going to be excited when they find out that they only get to go a minute let's go see what Patrick's doing back here what are you doing running the Clank oh fill it back up with a little bit of water good call I guess we don't have much left out here just put this [Music] hes [Music] anything so uh let's go outside and check it out where am I at ah it's too far yeah just pull it Forward just a little [Music] bit so usually I just pull it Forward just to smidge it she show easily tell me is that good all so I'm not no Professional Trailer hooker upper by any means but the first thing I do like to do is put safety chains on uh there are crisscross if you see them down here this chain actually comes from that side and this side and the reason they're crisscross is if by chance if they come loose the trailer comes loose from the ball right here when the tongue Falls it falls actually in the wi of the chain at least you want it to fall in the wi of the chain so on this trailer it has weight distribution bars and it has sway bars on it the weight distribution bars are actually these bars right here they got a chain on them and when I first got these things I was a little bit intimidated about all this cuz I knew nothing about it uh what they do is they just click in let me step over I'll going show you this one on this side so they have a little they have a Groove in them and this groove actually fits there's a little tab back here it's got a pin in it and the pin fits inside there so you just basically take them shove them up in there you pull up and down and make sure that they they don't rattle around cheater bar came with the camper this thing's been around for 3 years so the purpose of these bars are actually for you've seen trucks going down the road and the tail end of them are like this the bed of them sitting down low and the campers like this as well and these are actually meant to make things level out when your truck is riding like this your front end your steering is like this it's very loose cuz it's taking all the weight off the front end of and all of it's on the bed of the truck uh it just distributes the weight evenly so with this Jack Still jacked up if you'll take this down we have counted these links so many times in three years and every time I come out here I count them again to do them and you'll figure out your own your own number of links that you works best for you you can tell a difference when you put them on there uh sometimes the truck feels a little bit more stable than other times and so you can adjust it a stronger another length that's what you do um we usually do five or six one 2 3 four five would be that one it goes right here on the hook so there's a round hook right here there's a round hook so it just goes on there and you basically just take it and pull it up I usually like to put my chain back over top of that so it's not rattling around but what it's doing is it's putting support underneath it so it keeps the truck and trailer from being like this you put the bar in it it makes it go like this so when you're driving down the road it all sets level it also requires a pin and usually it's a thicker pin there's two different kinds there is there's a thick pin and there's a thin pin you can see the difference between the two of them one of them's thicker one's a little thinner the thicker one actually is going to go on the weight distribution bar there's usually a hole in there these things you can actually buy and they're bolted onto the frame here uh I would show you there's bolts on the other side to just fasten it to the frame and you can buy this whole setup but I'm going to show you now this is a sway bar she's hundred years old obviously uh it's it's when you turn this it tightens it up so what happens is when it's loose those came with our green camper didn't they uh they came with this one oh really yeah they came with this one um this thing slides in and out it's what it does and what it's doing is it's giving you Five Points of of Hook up is what it is um it goes on this W it comes out here and it slides on this W and so all it is you stick a pin in it there's several different ways you can put the pin in it sometimes the pin can go there's holes in it so you can put a pin in this way this way whatever um and this one goes in here and you can adjust that to whatever feels most comfortable for you when you're driving down the road I have found out that if you over torque these my opinion if you tighten them up too much and you get them super tight and you're going down the interstate and your trailer starts to sway one way or the other they it it doesn't want to it doesn't want to recover as fast it doesn't want to come back as fast you know so if you leave them a little bit tight um and not too snug then when it sways this way it comes back a lot simpler too tight makes it Go PL PL so um there's one on the other side just like there is this weight distribution bar hopefully that helps you man John Paul is pulling out all the stops now now he's over here with the blower Patrick's going to help [Music] him we're going to get this spot looking nice and [Music] clean [Music] well we got all moved here we are spot number four got everything set up we were just right over there behind that red truck so we didn't move very far at all but little bit of a different plan than we had for our day today but you know it's okay not a problem happens fast I mean basically if we wouldn't stop talking and all that stuff we'd been done in yeah we talked to a couple of the camp hostes you saw John Paul he John Paul cut our grass for us cut our grass awesome at least cleaned it up a little bit but yeah it's worked out well so we're done and all we really need to do now is just get settled in and figure out what we're going to do with the rest of the day yeah besides grocery shopping setting up campers are not that hard man it's not that hard it didn't take us long really if we weren't filming for to show y'all some stuff it probably would have been a little faster but the dogs are excited they got new smells and it's a pretty spot still a pretty view so thanks for coming with [Music] us I thought I saw a line when you pass me by the reason why I
