Let's configure a WLC-PT with Lightweigth AP (3702i) using IP address given your right hand side. Pick the devices. Insert a WLC-PT. Next, insert two lighweight APs (3702i) Insert a 2960 switch. Start to connect the devices with suitable cable. Switch on and rename the first AP as "AP 1". Switch on and rename the second AP as "AP 2". This is how the physical of WLC-PT looks like. Click on "Management" to insert the IP address. Type in the IP address given. Click on "Wireless LANs" to configure WLAN. Name the first WLAN as "AP 1". Name the SSID as "AP 1". Click save button after finish. Click 'New" button to create second WLAN. Name the second WLAN as "AP 2". Name the SSID as "AP 2". Set an authentication for AP 2. Choose WEP authentication. Type in the WEP key as "1234567890". Click "Save" button. Now, two WLANs are created (AP 1 and AP 2). Click on "AP Groups" to group the APs. By default, all APs are group into "default-group". You will see the WLANs created (AP 1 & AP 2). However, the Access Points still not discovered. Let's wait for a while. While waiting the AP discovered, let's configure the DHCP pool. Click on "DHCP" to configure DHCP pool. Type in all data needed patiently ;) Click "Add" button to add the DHCP pool. All the data can be seen at the bottom. Don't forget to switch on the service. Check the IP address. Check the DHCP pool. Check AP groups. Oh NO! why the APs still not discovered? The AP 1 still not discovered by WLC. The AP 2 also still not discovered by WLC. Tips: Ping the devices repeatedly to get discover by WLC. Don't give up. Finally!!! The AP 1 discovered by WLC. But, the AP 1 is not group to WLAN AP 1. You can see there, the lighweight AP served as AP 1 and AP 2 simultaneously. This is not correct. The same thing happen on AP 2. Just a quick ping to look for connection. Let's group the APs ! Both AP 1 and AP 2 discovered by WLC. Click "New" button to add new AP group. Name it as "AP 1". Tick on AP 1 for Wireless LANs and Access Points section. It means the WLAN named AP 1 assigned to AP named AP 1. Click "New" button to add next AP group. Name it as "AP 2". Tick on AP 2 for Wireless LANs and Access Points section. Click "Save" button. As you can see there are two group of APs created now. Insert any end devices to check the connection. Configure the wireless interface. Set the IP configuration to DHCP. The CAPWAP status is connected. Next, configure the other end device. Don't forget to enter WEP key for AP 2. Set the IP configuration to DHCP. All right! Let's ping!!! DONE! Thank you for watching :)
