This is the tutorial to configure wireless LAN using Packet Tracer 7.1.1. Insert a Wireless Router. Rename to "Admin". Insert an Access Point(PT). Rename to "Staff". Insert an Access Point(PT). Rename to "Guest". Insert a Desktop PC Connect all devices with suitable cable. Insert a Printer. Don't forget to install wireless network card to the Printer. Insert a Laptop. Install wireless network card to the Laptop. Insert a Tablet PC. Insert a Smartphone. Check the Wireless Router's IP address. IP address: 192.168.0.1. Click on the Desktop to get the IP address from the Wireless router using DHCP. Open Web Browser to enter the Wireless Router's GUI. Enter the Wireless Router's IP address. Enter User Name & Password (admin & admin). This is the Wireless Router's GUI. I proceed with the default settings. Save the default settings. Click on "Wireless" tab. Change the SSID to "Admin". Save settings. Under "Wireless" tab, click on "Wireless Security". In Security Mode, choose "WEP". Enter the WEP key: 1234567890. Save settings. Setting the Staff's AP. Change the SSID to "Staff". Set the authentication to WPA-PSK. Enter the Pass Phrase: Staff123. Setting the Guest's AP. Change the SSID to "Guest". Next, connect the Laptop to Admin's Wireless Router. Wait for wireless signal from Wireless Router & APs. Now, all wireless signal discovered. Choose "Admin" and click "Connect". Enter the WEP key and click "Connect". The Laptop connected to the Admin's Wireless Router. Connect the Printer to Admin's Wireless Router. Change the SSID to "Admin". In the authentication area, click WEP. Enter the WEP key. The Printer connected to the Admin's Wireless Router. Connect the Tablet PC to Staff's AP. Change the SSID to "Staff". In the authentication area, click WPA-PSK. Enter the Pass Phrase. The Tablet PC connected to the Staff's AP. Connect the Smartphone to Guest's AP. Change the SSID to "Guest". The Smartphone connected to the Guest's AP. Let's ping! All ping was succesful! DONE.
