OVERNIGHT SURVIVAL CHALLENGE *BEST BUY ITEMS ONLY*

today we are doing overnight survival challenge with best buy items only and to help us decide what amount we get we have brought in the brand new micro board andrew why don't you drop first 50 bucks oh that's the worst no [Music] 250 it's better than 50 bucks best buy is expensive i need a mega shopping cart for this one guys everything's so expensive i'm so alone 50 bucks is not a lot see how big this cardboard box is if i could find something for 50 bucks maybe i could slide myself into it and survive overnight i really want to do this but i'm probably not going to do it i got a home depot they have a home depot gift card i could probably buy as many home depot gift cards as i wanted to help build my shelter it's a big brain move right there i'm gonna ask the guy if they have any of these projector screens damaged or used ones or something because this almost kind of feels like a tarp i might be able to make a shelter out of it check this out guys pillows for days these are 35 dollars a pop they're soft i have to get all of them what check it out i got a 75 inch projector screen tripod for 50 bucks this is my whole budget and it's going to be my whole shelter two 70 inch tvs for only 550 massive boxes and tv screens let's load these up fridges only 160 bucks this is only part of my purchase for christmas just found these matte pieces i'm gonna get four total packages of these to build my house 250 bucks sure oh gosh we just got back with all our items from best buy let the overnight challenge begin it did take a few days for some of these items to be delivered so what happened then is now today trying to get survival items at best buy is a little difficult i got a ton of these mini fridges as well as two 4k 70 inch flat screen only i could find that i could afford was these puzzle piece like a weight room mat so i'm just gonna use them to make like a box and i got a light and a projector for entertainment you guys might be laughing right now but just wait until you see the full setup tee time at eight and then you have to mow the grass by 12. i am summoning the power of the dad interesting i have this mega box right here this is going to complete my survival fort i can't wait to show you what's inside my plan is to take the screen out of here and use this as like some type of tarp that i can canvas over my cardboard that's all i got around 4 p.m it's supposed to start raining all night guys you keep that in mind it's supposed to rain and thunderstorm tonight you think you're really cool but your whole house is made out of cardboard at least me and caleb have better things oh i calculated how many of these i had didn't include the roof i only have three left to cover all this it actually might make it a more structurally sound structure take like two here to reinforce the gaps now we have an operational tarp oh i think i'll use this tree just got to figure out exactly how big i want to make this thing it is time to break into the flat screens main reason why i bought this tv is just because of how big the box was you bought the tv just for the box yep oh gosh get out it's actually looking pretty good i have another concern and i don't know how to reinforce the ceiling right now i have like these two pieces that are like makeshift support beams the problem is if i leave those in there i can't sleep in there i know i'm a short guy but that's pretty small box look dads all you need in life is a roll of duct tape and a screwdriver and you can do just about anything look at this that i've already built are you serious we have a lean to tent going on here we have a counterweight over here this is secure to the tree very nicely my final step is going to be duct taping this metal rod to the cardboard here and just kind of make a nice little seal and then i'll make this the entrance i can just flip it up and go in voila lay down like this gonna flip open the entrance and slide on in i'm fully inside the tarp tent movie theater screen i have high hopes that this thing actually will repel some water so if it does rain i'll be okay you know if mine doesn't work out i think caleb has enough room for maybe two people huh your cardboard is gonna disintegrate as soon as the rain comes this just turns into ooze your little whatever that is isn't even covering your bed you're talking about this over like 90 of my body he's got dad's shoes on i think he knows a thing or two you know you got a point guys look at your dad now look at andrew look back at your dad see something similar you think this roof is gonna disintegrate in the rain not just the rain but also the wind one gust is gonna go look at this dude there's no cracks anywhere on this piece alone where's the rain gonna come through the wind is gonna blow the roof off it's gonna blow your door down it's so hot here i'm like sweating black exterior these are our survival shelters from best buy for what those surrounding what the outside well it's their guard rails against spiders so they go oh darn it all i have left is to install my movie theater and my light it might make it confident no laying out my carpet now but i think it's time i unbox the big box i bought because there's something in there that is going to go right here this thing is heavy so i'm going to need some help what do i mean guys why would i help you you cut [Music] we're going to pull this out and lift it straight up and then unbox it to reveal i felt a raindrop you better hurry the grand reveal of what's in my mystery box is this mega workout machine called the tonal temple is it called tonal the total temple ah i don't think that's at all what this is called well it's got a big screen that helps you work out let's carry it over guys i help you if you help me carry this over i will give you a choice or actually a choice of my choosing or ah give you a choice of your choosing i'm gonna try and see if i can stream rise of brew on this later can i come over my house is incredible these walls are actually gonna be perfect because they're the exact size of the machine yeah but this this is not the size of the machine hi andrew for helping me you can have a piece of cardboard not this one i have a piece of cardboard from this pile yeah wow [Music] now the more help you do the more you might get if it was my house i would build a door rather i would build a door down there in there you can open and close and secure all this enclosed you just leave it open it's gonna get rained on everything oh there's already bugs in here that means my rails didn't work i have a ceiling uh fixture and then here's the light switch when you come to the house [Music] this is a white screen i may or may not be starting my own podcast in here tonight guys it's going down podcast better hurry so you can see on my like on the duct tape it's a little bit wet up on the roof but then inside no as long as it doesn't downpour because if it downpours that's going to collect water and then destroys my movie theater my light might even electrocute me storms continuing through 8 p.m storms may contain strong gusty winds severe thunders from watch they're the two worst things that could possibly happen to our structures unless it's blake in a yoda mask i just got the workout machine set up you need more knee bend caleb it was like blue skies like probably an hour ago the temperature has dropped probably 15 20 degrees the thunderstorm is here we are all done with the builds time to show you some tours starting with andrew take it away this is micro movie this is the cardboard i got from helping justin so i can use this as like extra coverage essentially how this thing works you kind of sit down like this and then you're able to operate the tent enter an exit feature little pillow right here you're welcome that looks like it was from my tv box what about the rain i'm not worried about any rain your shoes are gonna get all the way this would be the worst thing you've ever slept in in the history of overnight well that's basically all i have to offer so let's go see caleb's the entire place is made out of gym mats the thing is the best budget this is rubber lightning resistant should probably move that metal pole away it kind of seems that like this side is more like the uh water resistant side and this side yeah you know water absorbent it would have made it would have made sense to make this what i slept on it's a lot softer i didn't think about it here's my the light switch when you come inside and here's my favorite part is the movie station that's where i'm gonna be watching rise of brew later i love that movie as long as the rain doesn't ruin the roof i'll be all right welcome to the electric compound i'm calling it that because i am most likely going to get struck by lightning because this whole hut is full of electronics we got the giant workout lounge we got the podcast wall i can change colors if i want you know later right behind you a very special tool a roomba see look at all this stuff that's filling up the space so we'll give them a little head start let them clean up the floor getting prepared for workouts look at this boys pretty nice just like that over here is basically the hangout lounge it can fit everybody wow right here is the entertainment station we have a working coffee machine we have polaroid for taking pictures of me and my friends i will check on this in just a minute do any of you want coffee by the way yes yes there we go well that's serving we'll show you guys this thing in a minute because it is way too cool i got a bunch of pillows they are extremely soft real nice back here we have the 70 inch flat screen sit back watch a movie there shouldn't be much rain coming in here but if you guys get really wet i might have to invite you over okay oh that's fine wow hot that's why you don't use red solo cups it's almost like a candle we could just put that right here how on earth is that a candle do you smell a candle oh the candle is it's like an alternative version of a candle it's letting off the smells it's a lightless coffee can it's a missed candle we're starting a new company guys missed candles they offer no light only since i have one final thing i purchased at checkout i saw a door dash gift card so i bought it loaded it up on my doordash account i'm going to be able to order some dinner tonight fellas so if i have a little money leftovers only a 50 gift card i could buy you guys something harvey in your house you better get to your house oh my goodness andrew come on pop your head out what was that i had to get a picture for the memories it's not bad so far there's no leaks yet i left my phone at justin's house all right guys let's get a quick workout in all right team let's go ahead and warm that body up one excellent job currently inside the movie theater fort and no rain is getting in here it's amazing make sure that you got those jokes we want to work out let's grab those dumbbells again facing forward i want you to keep those feet all i can hear from inside my fort is justin's giant workout the machine is starting to come in a little bit on the sides but mainly the middle is still okay i'm trying to hug this side because this side's not getting wet at all oh my seal broke a seal so far so good guys the only water i'm seeing in is right here but it's not even that bad i have a leak right here it's already made a massive puddle also it's gotten a lot colder as well hopefully the rain stops soon it's not raining too hard right now but it's got water everywhere this is how it's gonna be the rest of the night this is gonna suck in the workout room this is my biggest leak right now look at this it's just literally pouring all over the ground oh no oh and it's only getting worse thankfully so far in here it's pretty good completely dry now i can just relax over here who knows how the night's gonna go kind of feel bad for andrew and caleb as long as the rain doesn't get this thing wet it'll be okay so far so good thankfully guys i have managed to stay dry all this stuff from the trees has falling in here that water build up my thing's starting to bow it is about dinner time and like i mentioned earlier i got a gift card to doordash 50 bucks let's order some chick-fil-a i think i'm gonna order some food for the fellas as well because i do feel bad they're probably gonna get soaked tonight might not sleep at least they can have us a nice meal you guys are not gonna believe this my grand total for chick-fil-a with tip 49 that is called being efficient i was watching a movie in my ceiling fan film ceiling lights there is a colony of ants that are currently colonizing in my box and then the rest of them are starting to go over here by the movie theater good news is they're not spiders bad news is i'm not going to sleep in here the spiders are infesting i stayed pretty dry from the rain but now the spiders are all coming in here thinking it's just an open invite guys doordash was just delivered chick-fil-a's here oh fellas what i got you guys some dinner if you want to come over is this some type of prank no prank anything to get away from the colony by the way if you guys find my glasses please let me know how could you have lost your glasses out here the ant colony probably took it away back to their master but fellas i couldn't leave you hanging chick-fil-a for all of us plus hydration why would you buy us food because i feel bad for you guys plus i literally just checked the weather off again in 40 minutes a 90 chance of more thunderstorms which means more rain so you guys might get wet again so this is the least i could do all right what'd you get we got fries and just your typical sandwich [Music] if i leave crumbs my alien ant farm will come over here instead i already saw a spider in here but i haven't seen any bugs since never mind i wanted to show you all the pictures i took me and the boys caleb blake stopped by for a visit so had to capture a moment rick was helping filming and then of course this whatever you want maybe we can all just watch rise of gru from justin's house instead of caleb's jesus is that too loud yeah you guys can't sleep in here the ground's already like pretty wet in here already so not over here though guys i'm gonna sleep by the tv i've already seen a spider caterpillar moths and flies if this is going to continue this way sleep is going to be horrendous i found out that i actually did build my house on an ant hole and not only just an ant hole a fire ant hole i'm going to try to sneak inside the house and hopefully the guys don't notice luckily it's summertime it's not super cold this thing is not very warm i mean it's just a movie theater screen i'm gonna try and get some sleep that's probably not gonna happen so i'm probably gonna stare at the wall for the next eight hours well guys it's morning now i don't know if it's just this material or what it is but it did keep me decently warm except this pillow is awful oh hello probably got a few hours of sleep not horrible but i'm ready to get out of here where's caleb caleb oh his roof is collapsing how much you want to bet caleb's inside 100 bucks hey love what are you doing found your glasses
