Okay. Hi, I'm Jill with the carefree kitchen. And today I'm going to be showing you
how to make these really easy and fried drumsticks. They're crispy on the
outside, tender and juicy on the inside. And they only take a few ingredients. So they're perfect to
make on a busy weeknight. So to get started, these are the
ingredients that you are going to need. So here are my drumsticks, and I'd like to plan on like one of these
for child or maybe two for an adult. So this is enough to feed my family. And another thing I love about drumsticks
is that they are so inexpensive. These were on sale at my grocery
store for a dollar a pound. So that is an easy and
inexpensive way to feed my family. We also have all purpose flour here, and then we're going to see some lit
up with some onion powder, some salt, some paprika, some garlic powder. And then we have a little
method with the butter. That's going to make them nice
and crispy on the outside. Okay. So the first thing we're going to
do is preheat the oven to about four full I do this 400 degrees. Okay. And then for the chicken, what I have is I have my flour
here and I'm going to add my spices, right? To that flower. I'm going to add about
a teaspoon and a half of garlic powder, a teaspoon and a half of onion powder, and then a teaspoon and a half
here. See if I can do this. Oh, okay. We'll call that good. Caprica so now we'll just
mix this up until it's all. Okay. now, for the chicken.
I'm just going to open this up. There we go. And that
out onto a paper towel. So the next thing we're going to
want to do is just Pat these dry, just soak up any moisture
that we have here, and then just going to go ahead. So I'm going to turn these over, push my hands again, and then I'm going to cover
this other side as well. And just go ahead and leave the skin
on the chicken that will help it be nice and crispy. Okay. And then I'm just going to set
that aside for just a minute. I have a Ziploc bag here
and I just put it inside. You could use a bowl or this is just a
big measuring cup and I just want to put it in there and then I'm
going to grab half of my chicken sticks. My
drumsticks. There we go. I have nine there's, five of them. And then I'm just going to add
about half of my flour mixture. Then I'm going to seel this up. Okay. I'm going to put some foil onto a sheet. Here we go. Okay. And now I would just set my
drumsticks right onto the baking sheet. Okay. Now they have this
nice coating on them. And now going to add my last chicken drumsticks to my bag, sprinkle on the rest of the flour
mixture and then toss again. Sure. It's all coated on there. And one more. Okay. And the next thing you're
going to do here is, um, I'm just going to cut up
some thin pieces of butter, maybe like a half a tablespoon and
just set it right there on top. This is going to make your
chicken so crispy and give it that oven fried flavor. So just trust me on this one. It is so good. And to the, alright and now into a 400 degree
oven for about 18 to 20 minutes. Okay. So if you take your chicken out
after about 10 minutes and you can just brush on the rest of the
butter that has on the pan that has melted down, I make
sure it's all coated in butter. That will be perfect. Then we're going to put it back in
the oven for about 10 more minutes. All right, here is my recipe
for oven fried drumsticks. They're coated in this crispy
skin covered with garlic powder, onion powder, all kinds of amazing herbs and spices
that you can incite is tender and juicy and has just the right amount
of that crispy skin on the outside. Thanks so much for watching this episode
