Our Rolls-Royce Ghost Broke ONE MONTH Into Ownership

hey this is a nicholas king i have a 2010 rolls-royce ghost that's a member of the provenance program and we had a level control malfunction come up and the ride is a bit heavier the warning has since went away but the ride's a bit harder and harsher than it was previously so if you could just give me a call back so we can get it in maybe next week for service that would be great and um yeah thank you so much bye [Applause] we have owned our 2010 rolls royce ghost for god it's been a while what would you say it's been it's been 36 days yeah i mean that's quite a while um in that time we have traveled a little bit over a thousand miles about 1100 miles yes one thousand one hundred miles and in that one thousand one hundred miles it has been absolutely wait it's not been absolutely trouble no it's not there's been three problems that i can think of first one started when uh i was taking it out with my wife to go to a very fancy store i like to call tarjay which is exactly where you expect to see a rolls-royce in the parking lot and we were going to buy some stuff for our house and one of the strangest things happened we were entering onto the on-ramp to get onto the interstate and all of a sudden water just came out and the passenger side footwell out of nowhere the second issue is one that actually we discovered just a few days ago you see when we purchased our beautiful rolls royce the umbrellas were supposed to be in it and they weren't but we did get the umbrellas for the rolls-royce that were supposed to be included and when you put the passenger side umbrella in well it doesn't like coming back out does it no as you can see it's it's very beautifully placed in there the only problem is i don't i don't think you can tell but i am actually pushing the button and you can see it moving ever so slightly but it's just not so what you have to do like you want to hold the camera it's a two-handed job sure that's what she said what you have to do it's actually very classy you have to push it in push the button and then it releases and then you can pull it the rest of the way out as to be careful not to scratch your aston martin and then you have your very beautiful falls away sunbrella now that's not how it's supposed to work if we walk around to the driver's side you will see that that driver's side is not broken so walking this way it's uh the complete opposite really you open the door and then you just press and your umbrella is released and then you have to be careful not to scratch your walls actually the walls are cheaper than the umbrella yeah that's fair yeah so this side comes out just fine unfortunately the passenger side does not and in my mind that's the side that would uh need the umbrella because that's where the wife is so what was the next issue patrick after the umbrella well this is the big one my wife and i took it on a little weekend road trip we were driving around and we stopped to get a couple's massage like a rolls-royce owner does yes and during the stop after we got back into the car after getting the massage i was very relaxed feeling good sat down in the car turned it on listened to the v12 roar and startup and level control malfunction so of course i do what any self-respecting person does i take a picture because i want to post it to instagram later and make a video about it um and then i realized i should probably text nick because he also owns 50 of the car so it is so firm it feels like there's no suspension you're just banging into the corners you're just banging into the potholes it's shocking so with this luckily it's on the provenance warranty program meaning we have to pay for none of it it's not our problem but as you can see the air suspension light just um isn't on this is not on and then if you hit let's raise it [Music] no nothing so um the royals has been with us for a month and it's going in for service with the temp tag still on the plate i think the shippers here so uh yes you ready i'm ready well as ready as i can be what you do you don't run out like that man come on um yeah so if you wanna pull it down i wanna run down the road i guess there's a street and see if i can find him because he said he's trying to find a place like not blocking traffic but that's not gonna be possible here oh um whenever on there that we shipped it from texas and they didn't have anything shown on theirs you know like their their order of any knicks or anything but you know again if you see anything so what's happening when you hit the uh when you hit the hydraulics it's it just blinks or does it it's it's off like it's not even showing a light yeah yeah it's just off so that's kind of odd but yeah i'm sure they'll be able to handle it but uh i've seen it where it just blinks yeah and he said i'm sure they'll take care of it it's probably something simple this is actually got a warranty so all right well what i'm gonna do like i said i'm gonna go up to the cold set come back around and then i'm gonna park pretty much the same spot okay and uh and uh you can cut it off if you want to and uh the keys in it right yes all right he's turning the truck around right now um it is sitting low actually like wow that'd be a good comparison to like look at the suspension what thank you really thank you [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] that's funny he said he's used to it it happens a lot the driver this is uh motorcars of atlanta's like driver like this is the guy who goes and picks up all their cars all across east coast and yeah he's going to florida and everywhere so yeah he's there they're a big driver but uh yeah true green guy who was stopped it was complimenting the car and talking about it i think it's weird it's still it's not set in yet that like that happens we've had a bunch of shippers in the past i've never seen one that has like that big door that swings open like that it's really cool the rain has really started to come down now so we're using the truck as canopy it's actually kind of ingenious how he's blocking the water using that best he can huh it's a cool truck many uh very very nice cars god i feel so bad for him i need to go that way a decent amount so [Music] we got a few inches on this side so i'll get it there everything be fine all right that sounds good thank you and the rolls is off for service [Laughter] we did figure out this morning how we can get a tag which is good because that's been kind of a problem for us um luckily we're being able to we've been able to request the title build and then move it to tennessee and drop the tip tag but uh yeah so kind of cool i'm sorry if the camera has water on it like on the lens but well as you can tell it's raining we're very wet at least i'm soaked patch was smart brought a rain jacket and a hat and all that i didn't so i just got a text from nick saying that he got a text from rolls royce yes and the text message states it's a novel okay i'm gonna let's sit down for this it's still a long time look at this text message this is a long text message oh my god good morning i have a few updates on the ghost we discovered the electronic height control module for the vehicle suspension is faulty we have ordered one uh and it is coming out of the uk so we can expect it in about seven to ten days jesus we also discovered the umbrella storage assembly has a faulty release button so we have the assembly on order and it should be here in that time in that same time frame we cleaned any debris from the sunroof drains on the vehicle as occasionally water can get backed up in them and make its way into the vehicle otherwise we could not find any leaks in the roof and all seals are intact um we've not been able to replicate the squeal from the driver b pillar yet but we'll perform another road test attempt road test or two to end attempt to find the issue oh my god it is finally time i thought it was finally time that the sport didn't start but no it is finally time the rolls is back i'm moving the mom mobile out of the garage and we are moving the rolls back in i am so excited it's been over two weeks since this car left whoa and i am so excited to get it back into the fleet i'm so excited this is a lot harder than it originally seemed okay now that i'm all parked up and didn't wreck um we can go ahead and get out of the car because i think the rules should be here any minute it was supposed to be here at 10th so i don't i can't get it because i parked it too close there we go i did it i'm a man car looking like a snack it's like it won't lock oh that is way too close okay our rolls should be here any minute i'm so excited i've missed this car so much i felt like an insanely long time as long as two weeks i think i've ever experienced i'm so excited it's supposed to be here at 10 30. it's 10 30 where is it here i think i got a car well we need a big truck coming i am so excited for this car to get here not for there's an rv but that's our car right there finally getting delivered i have missed it so i have missed it so okay well mask on and then let's get this thing unloaded luckily it was cleared should just be able to just step right in there not as a fine of an approach angle as last time i appreciate you helping me out like that makes life so much easier going to guide him out yep mr p do you mind just watching these to make sure they don't shift or anything as they're coming down and just yell out if they if they do move or anything yeah [Laughter] the highest setting right now but oh my god it looks so good wow i'm so excited to have it back it's so smooth like i i sat in it and i was like oh my god so wait does the umbrella come out of the door now i mean it should because this door was technically off wow that's insane so one of the things that we learned that under warranty work they don't even include labor cost which is interesting but yeah oh my god so excited oh my god dude i've missed this car oh my god let's see is there anything coming your way unclear it's such a big car like you forget how large it is like when you're like i'm looking forward and like there's still space like it's crazy oh my gosh it's so smooth like oh my god that suspension is the like i don't think it's ever been this soft no i went over that bump this morning in my four series night and day difference there but like in my four series and this car didn't even feel it we just ran over a manhole oh my god i have missed this car oh my god oh i want my chill to see though that's heated i still don't know this car too well oh it's everything's so soft oh my god i it sounds like i'm doing power things so we've stopped at walmart to change drivers because i drove it here so i wanted nick to drive it home so we could both get our experience of the rolls-royce again and nick how's it feel to be behind the wheel of her again absolutely incredible and also impressed it still has over half tank seriously oh my god it's just so nice there's nothing like i mean like putting the rolls royce into gear people make fun of it it's like it's a you know like a chevy truck but it's really not like in a chevy truck and this car you're like and it's in gear you know you don't even have to think about it is it smooth it's so smooth there's nothing like driving a rolls royce we have to do a video today talking about how the l322 is the rolls-royce of suv isn't it it's just not like this is older than that l322 and yeah it's as close as you can get i think but it's it's not close though it's weird it's hard to explain i guess but yeah it's just like it did all right well i guess that's the video we won't ramble on for 30 minutes which i know we've been known to do and um yeah
