Our final day of filming (Chosen recap)

literally tens of millions of people around the world are gonna see the work that you've done this year and this season and i'm very grateful because you've made me so much better and you've made the show so much better than it could ever be and i really appreciate it and that is a wrap on season two of the chosen and that is a wrap on season two it seems bizarre to say that i mean here i'm standing here we just called out rap we just we're saying our goodbyes and the fact that it's been almost six months since we were in utah and started the filming of season two and just how much we've dealt with we thought that perhaps the pandemic would go away by the time we finished filming but we've had to follow safety protocols the entire time we have gone through so many weather problems we lost an entire week to the craziest weather in texas's last 50 years so many things have been so difficult to overcome but there's a great line in league of their own from tom hanks when uh gina davis says to him i'm quitting baseball because it just got too hard and he says of course it's hard it's supposed to be hard if it wasn't hard everyone would do it the heart is what makes it great and what we've been going through this last four or five six months has been hard but that's what makes it great we're trying to do so many impossible things and uh this season was a testament to just how much god was looking out for us and god called me to do something seemingly impossible so many things that he's asked me to do or that i felt compelled to do were bigger than i'm capable of and i've had this amazing cast and crew to elevate this show and more than anything else i've had the lord constantly present constantly reminding me that this isn't mine constantly taking us to what my wife refers to is the edge of the red sea where you feel like there's no place else to go but then when those waters part you know that it's him because you couldn't have done it yourself and that has just been happening over and over and over again on this show it happened more than ever on this season so this past week we had to go to the stages and then back to midlothian for some outdoor shots and then back to the stages just because of how our schedule got screwed up in so many ways but i think all the way up to the end god wanted us to kind of feel surrendered and each day kind of with our hands outstretched wanting to know how to do this and wanting to make sure that we were doing it in the right way and being surrendered and completely open to whatever god has for us well my job isn't done now i mean literally tomorrow i fly home but i've got to start immediately the process of finishing all of these episodes because this uh season launches from today as i talk to you right now in just a few weeks and episode one of season one still isn't done yet so my job doesn't stop in fact if anything it almost gets crazier over the next few weeks so i don't have time to really feel the weight of my exhaustion but i'm hoping that tonight i will get to my bed and just collapse but more than anything your prayers and your support have sustained me have made me a better man have made me a better filmmaker and are going to hopefully make the chosen even better in season two and impact millions of people around the world and i thank you for being part of this journey with us hey there it's dallas on the creator of the chosen would you mind doing me a favor just real quick hit that subscribe button hit that notification bell really helps our channel get out in front of more people thank you so much
