[Music] [Music] we moved campsites so really yeah was absolutely no reason for someone to come from there and at the time were like maybe it was an animal you know our goal is to be somewhere where we don't see people and then all of a sudden we just hear like distant music that keeps getting closer and closer to me it sounded like somebody playing music from their phone yeah phone or like a personal speaker we already had hiked down that road to do the geocache and there was you know no campsites no people and the road just dead ends well it's saturday morning here in coconino national forest we got up here last night but it was in the dark and we are maybe four or five miles back on some forest roads and uh found a quick spot to pull in we may uh move today we're still trying to figure out what we're gonna do uh this may not even be a previously used camp spot but it looked kind of flat level and open so we took the opportunity to get some sleep last night we decided to do a basic camp setup since we might move today and uh didn't want to put a ton of effort in getting the awning out we are definitely going to need it wherever we set up today there's supposed to be storms today and tomorrow part of the reason we chose this spot is there's uh just behind this stand of trees is a uh taller butte with a uh lookout tower on top glenna had found a geocache there so she's interested in going up and then we'll probably hike down our road a bit as well so we took the rocky park road exit and then took that road for four to five miles uh to the east and then just grabbed a smaller forest road [Music] we're just walking up our road to check out what's up ahead got a little water tank here there's a lot of uh open grazing with cattle in the area and they'll put these runoff tanks in to collect up some water and as expected the dogs are now swimming in the water this tree down it's almost looks kind of like the driftwood that you see in areas with driftwood beaches pretty cool so the geocache we were thinking we'd drive to as we've been hiking around we're only 0.1 miles away so we're just gonna keep walking up the hill and try to find it the road ended we're not really sure this is a trail but it definitely will get us up to the top we found it it wasn't even as hard as we thought maybe they were saying it's hard uh as far as the hike had lots of cobwebs all over it yeah the last check-in was two years ago we got the cabin here one of the cabins and then another cabin over here here's a cabin here and then the tower up there this was pretty short hike from our camp not too bad just a little cabin a little bit of a newer cabin probably not the best description based on its current condition but that one was unlocked got some sort of flood control weather station up i here know what on earth this is it looks like it was a platform at one time and then there's some sort of cone [Music] up in these rocks got a view out this way towards sedona we're gonna hike back down the hill i think it was about a half mile from our campsite to hike up here and uh got a nice little walk at this huge burned-out tree it would seem like maybe it got hit by lightning well the dogs wanted to cool down after our little hike yeah a little seaweed there oh greg all right well we decided to go ahead and stay here so we got the awning popped up and with running the dogs this morning and that hike they're pretty chilled out now so hopefully we can have a nice relaxing afternoon it doesn't look like it's gonna storm but it's supposed to be pretty stormy coming up in the afternoon and the arizona monsoons build up out of nowhere [Music] it did not take long for the storms to show up so we are getting everything ready getting the awning tighten down and we'll see how much rain we get we've got another set of storms moving in we're just kind of relaxing for a bit dogs are getting hungry ready for dinner but we're gonna see how this plays out well looks like the storm's getting bad enough that we decided to get in the car for now getting some close lightning strikes well it's calmed down a little bit the rain is a little harder but we haven't had really close lightning in a little bit so just kind of hanging out back under the awning again so we decided to move camp last night we got to our new site around 9. right around dusk right after the big storm kind of blew over we were finishing up eating dinner and just sitting inside the camper and the dogs kind of were looking outside and growled at like their mean growl at something and at the time were like maybe it was an animal we didn't see anything it was you know i was deaf so it was getting a little bit darker and just kind of hard to see and then not too long after doug was just outside and we heard music playing in the distance and we thought it was really on because there's no other campsites around us we didn't see anybody come down our road and it was just strange and then we kept hearing the music kind of getting closer like it was walking to the side of us but like closer i don't know it was weird we got sketched out so we moved and now we're here and it's really pretty the dogs are running the other thing about the music was you would hear it and then it would stop and it was like someone to me it sounded like somebody playing music from their phone yeah phone or like a personal speaker and it was like butt rock or country music playing and it would play for like maybe 40 seconds and then it would stop and the next time i would play it would sound like it was closer and then it would stop again like we never it was just weird like the first time we heard it we thought maybe somebody was singing really loud like further away but then when we started hearing it get closer we were just like that's weird because there shouldn't be anybody else by us and then the whole the dogs barking and growling into the dark abyss kind of sketched me out a lot and you know we try to get to places that are way out of the way you know our goal is to be somewhere where we don't see people and so then when there's a sign of a person it's you know way creepier we were probably five and a half miles back on relatively rough road you know obviously jeep people side by sides they're going to be coming through the main road but then we took a side forced road just a dead end road that ends at a tank you know it's probably for um just the rancher whoever is leasing that land uh to get back to their livestock um so really yeah was absolutely no reason for someone to come from there there we already had hiked down that road to do the geocache and there was you know no campsites no people and the road just dead ends and then when i looked at our maps after the situation on the map there was no other road within a half mile of us and no trails in the area either so that it just doesn't make sense how someone was there but right by our campsite and everything i've learned from true crime because i love true crime you get a weird feeling you just you leave no you're good shout out to crime junkies be weird be rude stay alive in a few hours we have to head to sedona i have a engagement photo shoot there tonight hopefully it won't rain it probably will uh the couple's coming from vegas and this is the only day left that they can do this session so hopefully if it rains it's fine i just don't want lightning so we'll see how it goes [Music] [Music] doug is airing up the tires so while we're stopping there's a close geocache so i'm gonna go find it all right this one's a tricky one but got some pretty little sunflowers on the side got another geocache on the side of the 17 we're gonna go look for found this one a really tiny log just a little log one glenna's got her engagement shoot and i've got dogs so we're just gonna we found a place to pull off a little bit up from the trailhead that they're gonna do their shoot and we're just gonna hike around a little bit see what's around pretty walk down this wash definitely had some water coming through kind of coming up on a cool turn in the creek it's like it really dug out this sediment down here found a stick as usual [Music] found just a nice little place to sit [Music] listen [Music] you
